Overnight stay, very friendly staff, easy check-in. Rooms have plenty of snacks/drinks if needed. Manny's Steakhouse also operates as a dining room for the hotel.

The hotel is nice and in a beautiful building. The observatory is a cool thing to check out and free for hotel guests. The room was fine, however we had some issues. The phone in our room did not work to call reception. The power went out for half of our room several times randomly throughout our stay, requiring us to call maintenance and then them teaching us how to trip the breaker ourselves. The maintenance man was the nicest and most helpful of the staff we encountered during our stay. Also about half of the channels on the TV did not work. Not the quality I expected for the price paid.

I lost power throughout the night. They dim the lights in the building so you cant see the conditions of trim and paint. It dont desrerve 5 star. The bar on the 27th floor was closed and nobody knew i ran into multiple people in elevator trying to get there. They just disabled the floor with no knowledge to the people. Horrible not worth the price! The onlt thing good about them was they were willing to refund my room. But i booked through expedia and they wouldnt help with that. So expedia gets a 1 star also never use expedia

Our stay in January I would give 4 stars because the room was a little dusty and the bedside lamps didn’t work (however we booked day-of and mostly just needed a place to crash). For our February stay, we were sent an email asking for preferences a few days in advance. I asked for a freshly dusted room due to my own allergies, and the staff did a great job! For our February stay we also stayed in a nicer room with a living room and tub and the tub was great!

Unfortunately, our penthouse suite at supposedly the best hotel in Minneapolis, did not have any hot water for us to take a shower in. Our in room breakfast was cold and the eggs were raw and the toast was sauggy. The usb charging stations didn’t work either. Did not make for a great wedding night stay as we were expecting.

Granted we were there on NYE, the common areas were dirty especially the elevator area...very old and dingy. We had to wait over 40 mins for an elevator to take us down to the lobby to join NYE celebration in the W Club. I was excited to stay at this place because I'd been to the bar on the 27th floor and enjoyed the atmosphere there, however the hotel is very dirty and raunchy, sadly.

Perfect place to stay with every amenity you would ever want. Bonus is it is right next to Manny’s Steakhouse! East walk to US Bank, Target Center/Field, and numerous bars and restaurants. All around disappointment.
I rented a total of five hotel rooms for a business conference. I had hoped to impress my team. But instead, they lost most of our gift bags that they promised to put in the rooms. And had abominable customer service at the front desk. My room had a leaky toilet and a shower that didn’t work very well. Also, the hotel bar, which is half the appeal of this property was under construction, which was not published anywhere add all that frustration and disappointment to trying to resolve with the manager, whom has not returned a phone call or email since my stay. So much for trying to resolve it the old-fashioned way and give people a chance Before you write a poor review.

There are a lot of hidden fees. We were staying on the 12th floor and our view was the side of a building and a parking lot. The staff was helpful. The room was clean. The gym was tiny. We go drinks at the Prohibition. It was the best old fashion I have ever had (Simon is a wonderful bartender). But it was $80 for 2 drinks. It's a great location. We walked to most of the places we were visiting. The beds are so comfortable. Honestly the rooms are a lot smaller than I thought they would be. It was almost as much as I pay for a month of rent. I was looking at pictures online and they are a little misleading. Most of their pictures are of the suites. I think next time I am going to see what is cheaper. To me personally, the price was more than it was worth. That said, my girlfriend disagrees. She thought it was amazing. Do your own research. But please realize there are so many hidden fees. They have full size bottles of Momo shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There are 2 full size bottles of lotion. All of which are in the mid double digits. Their welcome bottle of wine is not complimentary for the room. And I never saw a list of what anything in the mini fridge costs. If you are offered anything just know non of it comes with the room. I'd say 7/10 overall. We took a video of the room but no pictures that can be shared. But I am attaching our Prohibition drinks, as it was the highlight of the stay.

The issue I had was with Hotels.com itself. I didn’t receive a confirmation email regarding my reservation. The app said I didn’t have a reservation so I made a second reservation. Again, the app said I didn’t have one and I didn’t receive a confirmation email. When I checked in, I had two reservations. I couldn’t talk to a person to rectify the issue.

I’ve always loved staying at the W Foshay for a stay-cation. This time was a bit disappointing as I got the Fantastic Suite as a bday treat for myself and there were a few things broken/needing attention in the room that left us feeling less than satisfied. There were a few other details that the W is missing the mark on, but will include only the bigger misses here.

The automatic blinds in the bathroom were broken, which as a result let light into the bedroom in the morning and we need dark.
