The staff was always super helpful. The corner suite was amazing. Definitely check out the prohibition bar

Great stay. Really nice hotel and friendly staff. Only thing is the walls were kind of thing. Lots of noise throughout the night.

I am local. This was a birthday staycation for me. I usually love staying at the W, and I had the worst time EVER. I hated it; I will NOT be back. I actually left at 9 p.m. the night before I was supposed to depart bc I was having such a bad time!!! First of all, I was paying $500/night for a bath suite. At 2 a.m., for my first bath, there was no hot water. Tub full of ice cold water. No hot water in shower or sink. Tired, not dressed appropriately for a tech to come, I waited for morning. There was some hot water, but not enough to shower or fill the tub. \"JC at your service\" fixed me up, but it took over an hour -- I had to leave to go get breakfast while he worked -- and this interrupted an actual bath I was taking?? Beyond that, my mobile key only ever worked in the elevator. I complained twice that it didn't work for my door, EVER. The physical key cards that were given to me by the front desk stopped working midday on Friday, and when I had my friend and our lunch with us, I had to go all the way back downstairs for new keys. In 12 hours I'd had to deal with engineering and the front desk FOUR TIMES???????????? At a $500/night suite where all I wanted to do was relax and take a hot bath??? Honestly shame on y'all. Really really disappointing. I wish someone cared even a little.

Nice stay and nice location. Would recommend
Michael
A deluxe room which was not the room pictured when I made the reservation, no clock in the room unless I turned on the TV. Id check my phone if any of the spaces to plug a charger in worked. A phone charger is listed in the services cart as \"$25 purchase at the welcome desk\". Welcome desk didnt know what was going on and said they were out of chargers because no one would bring them back. For $25 I'm not borrowing a charger, I'm purchasing one. Not impressed.
To top it off a double room charge for the \"incidental\" $250 incase something happens... a hold for 3 - 5 business days... thanks for gutting my travel expenses. This was not a room worth $250 let alone $500. I will not be staying here again. Which is really sad considering we chose this hotel for our wedding night.

Super clean, well-appointed and comfortable spacious rooms. Very engaging and helpful staff. Very centrally located and walkable to everything.
Katherine
Great customer service. Attentive. Accommodating.

We paid for a suite and got a regular room. We were told this was because of a mechanical issue but they were unable to show us the actual suite with the issue. Emailed the booking manager several times and got not reply. We were cheated out of over $300.
Jenna
Unfortunately the elevators are broken and you weren’t able to take the stairs so the wait was 30 mins everytime you had to go up or down. However the rooms are beautiful, very clean, and comfy beds.
Ian
Incredible views with the corner city-view room. Access to the rooftop observatory and museum was a cool amenity. The 27th floor prohibition bar was nice as well.
James

Overnight stay, very friendly staff, easy check-in. Rooms have plenty of snacks/drinks if needed. Manny's Steakhouse also operates as a dining room for the hotel.
James
The hotel is nice and in a beautiful building. The observatory is a cool thing to check out and free for hotel guests. The room was fine, however we had some issues. The phone in our room did not work to call reception. The power went out for half of our room several times randomly throughout our stay, requiring us to call maintenance and then them teaching us how to trip the breaker ourselves. The maintenance man was the nicest and most helpful of the staff we encountered during our stay. Also about half of the channels on the TV did not work. Not the quality I expected for the price paid.
Bill
I lost power throughout the night. They dim the lights in the building so you cant see the conditions of trim and paint. It dont desrerve 5 star. The bar on the 27th floor was closed and nobody knew i ran into multiple people in elevator trying to get there. They just disabled the floor with no knowledge to the people. Horrible not worth the price! The onlt thing good about them was they were willing to refund my room. But i booked through expedia and they wouldnt help with that. So expedia gets a 1 star also never use expedia

Beautiful hotel!
Colleen
I wish that I could remember her name but the front desk staff member that worked the day shift was the absolute best!! She was so sweet and friendly. She even remembered me from when I stayed at the hotel two months ago.
Our breakfast at Manny’s was amazing. We had the short rib Benedict which was highly recommended by our server, Kate.
I highly recommend the W Foshay and look forward to our next stay.

Best hotel in the city
Rebecca
Hotel room ok and liked the sky lounge. Really unappealing that the entire first floor reeks like weed once evening hits.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary with an overnight at this stunning place. Cannot recommend it higher! Wonderful all around. ❤️❤️

Clean rooms. Great services, fun location. Lower level bar was a vibe.

Staff is very helpful! Our stay in January I would give 4 stars because the room was a little dusty and the bedside lamps didn’t work (however we booked day-of and mostly just needed a place to crash). For our February stay, we were sent an email asking for preferences a few days in advance. I asked for a freshly dusted room due to my own allergies, and the staff did a great job! For our February stay we also stayed in a nicer room with a living room and tub and the tub was great!
Antonio
Great love it there
Cam
The staff were good. The hotel is nice. I was on the 25th floor and the water xould not get hot. It lacked a fridge as well I had brought a few things to stay cold. Had a small issue with uber eats they didnt bring the food up. But the room all In all was very nice and big, excellent for the cost.

Unfortunately, our penthouse suite at supposedly the best hotel in Minneapolis, did not have any hot water for us to take a shower in. Our in room breakfast was cold and the eggs were raw and the toast was sauggy. The usb charging stations didn’t work either. Did not make for a great wedding night stay as we were expecting.
Griselda
Granted we were there on NYE, the common areas were dirty especially the elevator area...very old and dingy. We had to wait over 40 mins for an elevator to take us down to the lobby to join NYE celebration in the W Club. I was excited to stay at this place because I'd been to the bar on the 27th floor and enjoyed the atmosphere there, however the hotel is very dirty and raunchy, sadly.
Keith
Quick check in, very nice room, and lobby bar was excellent!

Beautiful hotel! Wonderful staff & services. Easy to walk to our concerts, one at US Bank stadium & one at the Orpheum.
Have already recommended to friends & family, and will be staying there again when we come to Minneapolis.

Spotless clean room and friendly staff. Wish the W’s skyway access was open on Sunday to facilitate US Bank Stadium entry without going outside

Clean room. Great atmosphere

Staff were great and the room was nice. The only problem was not having any hot
water. Paid quite a bit for a suite with a soaking tub. One of the reasons the room was reserved. Very disappointing when I tried to take a bath.

Staff was great, Manny’s is always wonderful.
Room was only okay - poor water pressure, blackout shades weren’t operational in my room, and in my accessible room, the hand shower had a hard time staying in place and got waterfall over the floor. If I had been staying there for more than one night I would have asked for a room change.

Perfect place to stay with every amenity you would ever want. Bonus is it is right next to Manny’s Steakhouse! East walk to US Bank, Target Center/Field, and numerous bars and restaurants. Enterprise car rental right around the corner. Rooms have great city views, clean, great service, quiet and comfy. Loved our stay and we will be back! Living room bar makes a rad old fashioned.

much of the lobby was under construction, and the observation deck was closed. None of that was disclosed when we booked the property specifically to go on the observation deck.

2 elevators were out of order. Each time we left the hotel it took forever to get to our floor.

I would not park my car there. The valet was half of my hotel fee
Brian
Excellent accmmodations! Great restaurants!

The Living Bar & Prohibition Bar were closed due to construction, thus information was not relayed to us at any time prior to check in. We even got emails welcoming to “W” but nowhere stated bars weren’t open, to the contrary
Joel
Wonderful hotel and location.

We stayed in a corner suite on an upper floor. It was gorgeous! Great panoramic views of city! Easy walking distance from everything downtown. Would definitely stay again!

All around disappointment.
I rented a total of five hotel rooms for a business conference. I had hoped to impress my team. But instead, they lost most of our gift bags that they promised to put in the rooms. And had abominable customer service at the front desk. My room had a leaky toilet and a shower that didn’t work very well. Also, the hotel bar, which is half the appeal of this property was under construction, which was not published anywhere add all that frustration and disappointment to trying to resolve with the manager, whom has not returned a phone call or email since my stay. So much for trying to resolve it the old-fashioned way and give people a chance Before you write a poor review.
shannon
The staff here was the most unfriendly I have ever witnessed. Also, no coffee in the lobby is just sort of like meh…we don’t give a hoot about our guests. I will never stay at this location again.

Not as good as our W experience in Chicago. Low staff, no concierge. No coffee cups in room, called to ask and waited 45 min with nothing so we left. Overall love W - clean, safe, good people.
Sheridan
Expensive, beautiful but not necessarily worth it
There are a lot of hidden fees. We were staying on the 12th floor and our view was the side of a building and a parking lot. The staff was helpful. The room was clean. The gym was tiny. We go drinks at the Prohibition. It was the best old fashion I have ever had (Simon is a wonderful bartender). But it was $80 for 2 drinks. It's a great location. We walked to most of the places we were visiting. The beds are so comfortable. Honestly the rooms are a lot smaller than I thought they would be. It was almost as much as I pay for a month of rent. I was looking at pictures online and they are a little misleading. Most of their pictures are of the suites. I think next time I am going to see what is cheaper. To me personally, the price was more than it was worth. That said, my girlfriend disagrees. She thought it was amazing. Do your own research. But please realize there are so many hidden fees. They have full size bottles of Momo shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There are 2 full size bottles of lotion. All of which are in the mid double digits. Their welcome bottle of wine is not complimentary for the room. And I never saw a list of what anything in the mini fridge costs. If you are offered anything just know non of it comes with the room. I'd say 7/10 overall. We took a video of the room but no pictures that can be shared. But I am attaching our Prohibition drinks, as it was the highlight of the stay.

App issue
The issue I had was with Hotels.com itself. I didn’t receive a confirmation email regarding my reservation. The app said I didn’t have a reservation so I made a second reservation. Again, the app said I didn’t have one and I didn’t receive a confirmation email. When I checked in, I had two reservations. I couldn’t talk to a person to rectify the issue.
Douglas
Well worth the stay in this historic property. The roo. Was updated, but they should ditch the mini bar and give you a small frig. Staff was good. Gym needed a makeover; several broken machines.
Jessica
Excellent home away from home
J
Average at best
Try and get extra coffee, or a coffee cup or even a toilet role. Good luck. Took four deliveries to get coffee and two new throw away cups for our in room coffee. Door man is too busy talking to the wheel cleaning guy outside to open the door or say hello. Forget the guy to help you with bags from the room ti the foyer he does not turn up.
Katherine
Beds and pillows very uncomfortable. No fitted sheet on beds, mattress easily revealed because of this. No microwaves in room, cheap toilet paper. Small rooms for price of room.
