Overall decent hotel that is located near the convention center, 15 min walk. There is no mini market to get snacks or water. They have vending machines on 2 different floors. The one on the 13th floor didn’t work. The AC in our room didn’t work that great and it was 90+ in the summer. The restaurant in the lobby is wildly overpriced. $16 for a Bacon Egg and Cheese. Aside from all of that we stayed for 3 nights and never received any housekeeping. I don’t know if we were supposed to request that, but we never left the “do not enter” on the outside of the door.

The perfect location if you are staying in Minneapolis. Six minutes away from target field just a few steps away from target Arena, and countless dining options close by.
Nidia
Located at downtown, friendly staff, great bathroom and toiletries
Garrett
Great location for the concert we attended at Fine Line. Also took in a Twins game. Less than a 10 minute walk to both. Parking was easy in and out. Staff was awesome arrived about 2 we’re just going to walk to the Twins game til check-in but front desk lady got us checked in early. Room was very nice and comfortable all around. Loved having a rain shower. Will definitely stay again when in town.

We loved our stay at the Royal Sonesta. It was the perfect location for a Twins game and made it very easy to explore the city and surrounding areas. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The only issue was the first responders sirens that happened in the middle of the night. Nothing that can be done but it does wake you up.

I just spent one night here and I enjoyed the hotel and the restaurant in the lobby. Very clean, spacious room
Kate
A pleasant enough stay for a conference in Minneapolis--conveniently located with clean rooms.
Justine
Room was very clean and loved the easy access to the skywalk
Taylor
Great location, friendly staff, nice rooms and decently priced!

The hotel is very nice and the room (we had the two Queen beds) was nice and big. I wish the hotel would pay for parking but I get that they don't own the parking garage. One thing I would say is that the fragrance in the lobby was very strong. It was like someone spilled a lot of cologne. It was very potent but only in the lobby. For people with smell sensitivity that would not be a pleasant walk through the lobby. Otherwise we liked the hotel and would stay here again.
Muriel
We really enjoyed our stay at Sonsta and I will definitely book the same hotel next time
Tracy
This place is amazing for long or short term getaway trips you don’t even need to leave the hotel for anything if necessary
Miranda
Great hotel close to Target Field

Muriel
We eere very comfortable and will return
Margot
I didn’t like the fact that there was no natural light that can come into my room and the lighting was very dim. The view that I had from my room was of another building. That was indoors.
Behailu
When I checked in if the front desk agent explained everything will be better for next time not only for me for others too
Ari
Great property in downtown MSP. The room was large and very clean. The front desk staff were a pleasure to deal with. Very friendly and helpful. The self parking was expensive but easy to use and felt very safe. Excellent hotel.

Shower not powerful and room cleaning was not available every day.

My first stay at the Royal Sonesta was everything I hoped for! The staff was very courteous & professional, accommodating my every need. The hotel was very well kept and the restaurant located inside of the hotel was very convenient. My suite was nothing short of incredible, with tremendous space and amenities. I also like how the hotel is within walking distance to the arena, the baseball stadium, and tons of restaurants. I look forward to my next visit to Minneapolis and my stay at the Royal Sonesta Hotel.

The staff were very professional helpful and friendly. The toilet in the room was constantly running after being flushed. The staff sent maintenance right away but they were not able to completely stop the toilet from running even after replacing the flushed with a new part
Teshome Awasso
Was no cleaning for 3 nights, front desk staff were not helpful even to answer questions about FiFA channel.

Another great staycation!!Amazingly one of the best hotel - when you first walk in the door- it smells like an international spa! Absolutely love it! The front desk makes it greater - Julie greeted my daughter and I at check-in, so nice, welcoming amd kind in explaining a few things. She gave my daughter's puppy a bag of \"paw\" goodies. Most definitely will be booking my next staycation here. The location is perfect in the downtown area. We will be back!! The rooms were very clean and the bed very comfy. We slept very peaceful. If you are thinking about booking here do it!!!! In addition, the entire staff we encountered were just kind and everyone smiles at you.
Gok

Check in was fantastic! Best staff I’ve ever meet checking into a hotel.

The room was clean. Carpet had some wear marks and looked like a cigarette burn. Bathroom could be upgraded a bit. For the price it was fine. Parking also was super easy and we never left the ramp so we just paid the price to the garage instead of hotel and it was only 12$ for overnight.
Jasmine
This was the perfect hotel. I loved that the skyway is connected directly to the hotel, which made getting around so convenient. It's within walking distance of both the Target Center and U.S. Bank Stadium. You can actually see the Target Center from the hotel, and U.S. Bank Stadium is about a 15 minute walk away.
There's also a restaurant inside the hotel, and the food was pretty good. The room came with a refrigerator and a safe, which I really appreciated. I travel often, and it seems like a lot of hotels are getting rid of their refrigerators, so that was a huge plus.
The fitness center was amazing. It felt like a mini LA Fitness with plenty of equipment. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and there are several bars and restaurants within walking distance. Overall, this was an excellent place to stay, and I would definitely book here again.

Jason at the front desk did an awesome job getting us checked in and accommodated our every need! Fantastic property walking distance to many bars, restaurants and sports venues! Don’t forget the Wood + Paddle eatery and the candy store right there!!
Alysa
Staff was amazing and incredibly helpful. Very clean property. Nice beds/pillows and spacious rooms. Will definitely be staying again.
Aaron
Very friendly staff, clean and assessable.
David
Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Lovely place to stay.

Great experience but ask for a room with a view of the outside.
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay. Clean room and lobby area. Would stay again!

Dustin
Great place to stay. Highly recommend.

We stay at The Royal Sonesta every time we are visiting downtown Minneapolis. Beautiful hotel with parking availability, good food and drinks at the hotel, and everything within a short walking distance to Target Field, US Bank Stadium, and the countless bars and restaurants makes this our go to
Stephanie Malivone
some areas of the room were a tad dirty. the channels on the guide did not meet match what was showing on the tv. we called to get that fixed but staff never came up to take a look at it. this was during the FIFA world cup games and we wanted to watch it in the own comfort of our room. they told us it will be about 20 mins and no one showed up and we never bothered to really call back b/c it was a waste of our time.
another note I would like to make is that the front desk staff didn't ask us about the parking situation until I asked what are the parking options available.

This was a lovely hotel. The staff was super friendly and the rooms really nice. The beds were comfortable, and pillows were outstanding. The room was really quiet. The shower had great water pressure. The location was perfect and good restaurants around (I highly recommend the Hen House Eatery a few blocks away). We didn't eat in the restaurant there at the hotel only because we ran out of time. My only complaint (it is a small one) would be that the lobby had way too much \"scent\" happening, a very strong perfume/cologne smell. It isn't bad if you aren't hanging out in there for a long time, but it is strong. All-in-all this was a fantastic hotel and I'd definitely stay there again.
Cassie
The rooms were clean and comfortable. All of the staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming, especially Zac! We enjoyed our stay here.

Great location! Our flight was delayed and we needed to eat. The restaurant was very nice and served food until 10pm.

The staff was amazing! Will definitely be back
Linda
Great location. Staff was very helpful.
Debra
There is not enough amenities. Lounge area is horrible to gather in. Not enough chairs. Chair in room was horrible. Please get back to cleaning rooms every other day at least. Not enough restaurant staff. Pillows and linen were great. Staff that was there was great
ARLENE
What amenities, there aren't any. I really do not like the no housekeeping policy. Especially when you are staying 3 days and they only give you one set of towels. I asked for more and the very friendly front desk staff was eager to please. The front desk staff was really great no matter who we spoke to. The front desk person who impressed me the most was the one when I checked out. He asked how my stay was, I said, \"OK\" and he said, \"just OK?\" How could it have been better? That was impressive, he cared. At the time I didn't want to go into it, as it is not really important. But would I stay again, yeah, if the price is right. But if another hotel offers a better deal.... bye, I am not giving up much.

Excellent location. Fantastic staff. Clean and well maintained property. Our biggest issue was the bed and whatever group of children were staying on the same floor as us throughout our stay. The hotel can't really do anything about the kids other than tell the adults to make them be quiet. The bed was strange though. At face value it seemed comfortable but I never really felt well rested. It wasn't until I got home that I realized how poor my sleep was. The bed was just not great at all. It was far too soft. The linens didn't help at all as the sheets, blanket, and pillow cases just felt cheap like paper. Maybe that's fine for some people, but it's not what I would want. My first day home and I slept probably 12 straight hours and still feel like I have sleep debt to catch up on. Everything about the hotel was fantastic except where it actually mattered. Next time I'm in the twin cities, I'm probably looking for a different option. This is NOT a reflection on the staff at all as every one of them were super lovely.
Debra
They did not clean room or make the bed until night 4. Didn’t empty trash. Had to ask for more coffee and clean towels. Restaurant had only one person working a weekend breakfast group. Not enough staff. Terrible lounge area. Chairs were non existent and what was there was horrible to sit in. Chair in room was terrible staff that was there was great. No amenities included for the high price rooms
Debra
Ever since Covid hotels are not the same. Won’t clean the room. Take out trash or fill coffee containers. Have to ask for anything that use to just happen. Even just trash out.Restaurant only had one person in the morning. They had to do everything. Wait was horrible. On a weekend you should expect more customers. For what you pay for this room , I expected at least a nice lounge to gather in. There was not enough chairs in the lobby, and the chairs that are there and even the one chair in your room are terrible to sit in. Cheap quality. I just don’t understand. I expected so much more. The staff that was there was kind and great! But I expected such a nicer welcome
Matthew
They did a nice job.
Riley
Great front desk service, wonderful eatery connected, and clean rooms. Compared to a majority of other minneapolis hotels, this one has a great central location and the price is just right. Parking garage under the hotel.
Christna
I thought overall it was a nice hotel. My only issue / complaint was there was something funky going on with my toliet

This hotel was fine. It does not have housekeeping and I had to call to get the garbage taken out. I was there four days and I asked for housekeeping and no one ever came. My key kept getting locked out so I was having a hard time getting in and out of my room. No one show any kind of courtesy or say anything that they were sorry about it was just a bad experience for me. Also, it was kind of ghetto and nice at the same time. I do, however, would like to thank the security staff especially a young lady who helped me with my back started to hurt.
Larry
Super convenient location. Clean, secure, and quiet. Would stay again.

Really a nice place to stay, cleaning room and fancy, helpful staff.

Very nice hotel, close to everything we were doing. Staff was very friendly and helpful at check in. We would stay here again.

The front desk attendant was making weird sexual comments to my friend when we were checking in, and when she asked what room we have, he said that he can’t say, so she asked if he was going to show us then, and in response he said, “well I could bring you up to your room, but if I did that I would probably get fired”
Lisa
As a first-time guest, I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations. The staff was so friendly and helpful. My room was amazing! I will definitely be back.
Ismail
Great view of the city
Michael
What a fantastic hotel! Great value for what felt like a fancier hotel experience. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Bed was quote comfortable as well. Bathroom was big and there was a rather large shower in there also. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.
If you are looking to attend a Twins or Wild game, the hotel is a 5-10 minute walk to Target Field and the Target Center. Numerous restaurants within walking distance too. I recommend Gluek's Restaurant & Bar for some great German food. I would highly recommend staying at the Royal Sonesta!!

Very solid choice. Prices vary widely, but if a good deal is available, jump on it.

The hotel is close to so many things so you could walk to places and it doesn't take long! It's great that parking is right below the hotel. The front staff immediately brought smiles to our faces and were sooo friendly!
The room was great! The fragrance they use is AMAZING! We didn't have a view of the city, which honestly, I'm not upset about! The bed was extremely comfortable! (That was the first thing I said when I woke up)
We had breakfast at Wood & Paddle and that was so good! Overall, loved it here!

The staff when we arrived were very nice, and helped us find our way around the area. My wife kept commenting on the fragrance in the lobby, she loved it! Had a small issue with the temp control in the room, but in the end it was nothing important. Would definitely stay again and again!!
Yvonne
Clean room, helpful, and very informative staffs. Would definitely book with them again when i’m in Minneapolis.
