The staff person we got was not chatty at all. Seemed borderline rude. We reserved two rooms but she only have us one. We caught it right away and she added the 2nd room back. The 2nd room was horrible, it smelled like a chain-smoker lived there for 5 years. So we requested a different room and ahe was able to switch us over so that we are next to each other. Still not single smile or acknowledgement. I think that was the weirdest part of our stay. The pool was nice but small and super hot. Must have been set to 90 degrees. You didn't feel any change in temperature when you went in. The kids only stayed for a bit because they got hot and wanted out. Breakfast was ok. No meat selection just bread, cereal, eggs, omelets. Overall good place just needs some TLC and some friendlier staff.
Barbara
Friendly helpful staff.

Very comfortable clean rooms and a pleasant stay.
Raymond
Convenient in that it is close to the airport
Nancy
I would have preferred a roll or toast with coffee instead of purchased chips and junk food.

It was a nice looking building and looked well kept, but when I got to my room, it reeked of mildew although none was visible. It was pretty overpowering. The bed was comfortable, with a nice selection of pillows, and the A/C and shower worked well. The lady at the counter when I checked in was not very helpful. When I walked up, she was typing something into the computer from a sticky note. She asked me to hold on for a minute, which was fine, but then she continued to type for another 5 minutes. Later, when I came back to make a purchase from the little snack store, same thing. I’m a pretty patient person, but I felt this was an unreasonable wait, especially twice in a row. The airport shuttle service was great and is apparently available 24/7.
Jo
No complaints. Near Syracuse airport, and that’s what we needed.
Jeff
All good will stay again

Very nice hotel

We only stayed here for the pool. 2 adults and 1 child. It was almost impossible to find the entrance since it didn't have a sign at the street and it was down a crumbling alley that led to the hotel next door. The first room they put us in was main floor, the first room in the right hand hallway. It was directly next to the maintenance room, which had its door propped open and was dirty and noisy. There were staff all over that hallway yelling and hanging out. This was directly outside our room. I had requested a quiet room on the online booking so I was not happy. I immediately went to the front desk and requested a different room. I honestly don't know what they were thinking assigning that room. Hotel seemed pretty empty and was fairly quiet after we moved away from the main area. Breakfast was really good. The hot food was constantly replenished and they had great hot and cold options. I wouldn't recommend staying here for any other reason than needing to be close to the airport.
Laura
Could use better breakfast.
Michael
Staff was friendly. Rooms and common areas were clean. Breakfast was as expected - basic and perfectly good.

Property was clean and convenient for an overnight stay due to proximity to the airport. The free airport shuttle was a definite bonus.
Jenna
The hotel was amazing. It was clean and the pool was wonderful. They were helpful when we had a clogged shower drain and fixed it right away. Their breakfast bar was delicious. It seemed to have something for everyone (including hard boiled eggs for me because I’m picky about my scrambled eggs). The room was very clean and the temperature was easily controlled. My family will stay there again if we travel back to the area.

Emily
Perfect for overnight stay when flying out of the airport.
Kelvin
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was great. And the shuttle to and from the airport was amazing and on time.
Patrick
A solid performance for this hotel during our stay (2 nights), in line with what you would expect from a Holiday Inn express. Very clean, comfortable beds and room overall. Breakfast is fine, with varied options. Pool area was clean too. Staff is nice and helpful. We do hear the airplanes a bit, which is not surprising given the location but may bother some very light sleeper. Overall, I would recommend.
John
Clean and comfortable.
Regina
Staff were excellent, friendly and competent.
Cindy
Great place! Great people and very clean
Daniel
Clean room. Pool. Easy access to hotel

Pictures may have been accurate 10 years ago. Not a very pleasant experience. If you’re sensitive to smells…not the place for you. You could hear people above you…not very restful.

The bathroom/shower was not the cleanest, but our real concern was the pool. We picked this hotel with only wanting one thing of our stay prior to my child’s procedure: to swim. Before scheduling the stay, the website for THIS SPECIFIC address and a Google search, it was confirmed the pool would be open until 10. We arrived at the hotel late evening and by the time we got down to the pool it was about 9:06. Pool door was locked. I asked the woman at the front desk, her answer was “if the key card lets you in, go ahead”. Of course, it did not. My 3 year old just completely devastated. She watched my child go up to the room sobbing while I explain our stay and show proof in two locations the time and why we chose THIS location for our plan to swim. She called the manager and just said Google had the wrong time before ending the call. Something about the health department saying 9:00?? I ask if she would reconsider being that we were provided the wrong information or if I could talk to the manager myself. She stalled by trying to look it up on her phone then her computer when she was already shown multiple times on my phone the website itself, then rudely took another phone call without saying another word to me until I gave up and left. The reason for our stay was ruined by misleading information and no one willing to work with it when shown respectfully.
Carol
Clean comfortable room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good selection for breakfast.
Megan
The stay was overall okay. The problem started with the overabundance of kids roaming the hallways and creating absolutely horrible disturbance. Staff seemed to no inforce anything and remained at the front desk watching their phone. The final morning, breakfast was unavailable an hour after breakfast as they had \"staffing issues\". When you plan an entire day or stay around the breakfast and it's time because of the plans or reason for the stay, and you're on a schedule, it throws the whole day off. My husband was down later in the morning when breakfast was finally open and was very upset at the staff, complaining about their workplace themselves and venting to other guests at the overwhelming amount of kids staying at the hotel. There's a time and place, and that's nether the proper time or place to vent, especially as an employee. My wife called to submit a formal complaint and was told they would follow-up with a resolution. It has been a few days and as expected, we received no follow-up call from management. I will not be staying at this location again and will consider to staying at a different more reputable hotel establishment from here on out.
Renee
Room was very nice and great extra features. The only issue was a lot of noise traveled in from the gaps in the door and the voices from the next room were plainly heard while I was trying to go to sleep. Staff was excellent, room very clean.
Andy
The outside lights blinded us all night... turn them off!!! Didnt sleep for crap. Will never stay there again.
Christopher
Perfect location just 5 minutes from airport.
Jacob
Room was very nice, staff was helpful, there was a lot of noice from one of the floors above until 2am. Very difficult to sleep.
Pamela
Clean room and helpful staff
Debra
Clean room, timely arrival of shuttle.
Timothy
The room was good. There was no remote for the tv but they brought 1 up.
The driveway entrance and the parking lot were completely unacceptable. It had been a couple of days since any real / major snow fall and the majority of the parking spaces had inches of snow. No attempt seemed to be being made to solve the issue. Snow piles were taking up probably 6-8 spots and there was 6-8\" of snow to walk through to get over the curb and on the sidewalks.

The room was great and their airport shuttle was right on time.

Room itself was good. However, room door did not sufficiently keep the noise out.

Total rip off. Will not book here again. Customer service was also very rude.

Due to the flight delay, wasn’t able to get to the hotel until after midnight around 3 am, my whole family was exhausted with my 3 young children. The hotel only one reception lady was very mean and not friendly, or trying to help, she said she just started doing computer audit so can not check in until 45 mins later. She refused to help check in, yet didn’t let us call the hotel boss owner to report the situation, she said she would not share boss’s number. Also, we offered to pay cash and maybe can do paper work first, computer check in later, but everything got refused by her. She was very unfriendly and said we must sit there and wait, also could not cancel and refund the night she said, so my husband and I both were very upset and pissed and so did not even check in and we left. We would like to have a dispute and full refund for the night.
Hope
Friendly staff. Shuttle to Airport and back. Park and fly.
Arijana
I booked for the wrong night and wanted a refund to rebook for another night and the manager said no. Very disappointing
Gary
Room, staff and breakfast were all good. Could have done a little better on the parking lot after 18\" of snow....

Proximity to airport on a dark, snowy morning!

Staff was great, got in late and was fantastic to have the free shuttle. Didn't get the gentalmens name working multiple jobs Thanksgiving morning but he was super helpful.
Alberto
Clean hotel and friendly staff
Kathleen
Room is kind of run down. The tv doesn’t work. The pool was so cold my son’s hands turned blue and stayed that way even after a hot shower. He was only in the pool maybe 8-10 minutes. There were no towels in the pool area and I had to have my kids wait in the hall while I went to get towels for them. When I got back, their teeth were chattering so badly. Breakfast was good and the woman running it was lovely.
Betty
Airport shuttle was efficient and right on time. Easy to navigate. Room was spotless. Front desk employees were great to work with.
Breakfast was unexpected, as our flight was delayed we were able to enjoy it. Couldn’t ask for anything more at a reasonable price.

This hotel is great for a one night stay.
I stayed at the hotel for three nights and I did not spend much time there. The sheets were soft and the recent renovation made the rooms very nice and my bathroom was very clean but everything else about the hotel made it feel shabby. Also, the walls are very thin. If your neighbour had the TV on, you could hear what they were playing.
The lobby smelt like moldy water, the women receptionists treated me better than the men, the elevator was in a very poor condition- the paint job is terrible and it’s an old elevator so it’s finicky. Breakfast was very limited, they only had three hot options (usually pork sausage, scrambled/omelette eggs, seasoned potatoes), oatmeal, pastries and a very bad pancake maker. The juice machine only dispensed orange juice as well.
There are good and bad characteristics to this hotel. If you are looking for a place only to sleep, this is the one for you. Also it’s hard to navigate where to turn into the parking lot, especially at night, because of a tiny Holiday Inn sign that’s outshined by the Candlewood Suites sign.

The woman at checkin was rude, condescending, decidedly unhelpful, and lied to me about working with 3rd party to resolve booking date error. I offered to rebook and was told hotel was fully booked but went to website and it showed available rooms. I’m
a Black man and so the optics and impact upon me were outrageously negative.

A message sent to the owner and GM: My wife and I arrived at your hotel at approximately 1 AM early this past Sunday morning, after having made a reservation through Expedia several weeks earlier. After we had called the hotel for a shuttle from the airport, which arrived promptly, we were greeted by an embarrassed Ashley, who told us that there were no rooms, despite our having a reservation. We were taken aback at this turn of events, at 1 AM, after having traveled since 7 AM from out of the country. She told us that the hotel had been overbooked, which was really unconscionable. In the midst of our astonishment, however, I was quite impressed with Ashley, and how far out of her way she went to get us alternative lodging elsewhere (not available) and how sincerely concerned she seemed about our situation. She showed tremendous empathy, and you are very lucky she works for you. Her late night associate - I believe his name was Mohammed - was almost as helpful as Ashley. As you likely heard, we were eventually able to secure a room at the hotel due to a very early departure of another client.
However, the situation in which we found ourselves was inexcusable. This was compounded by the shoddiness of your property. At most, this hotel merits a \"poor\" rating. The hotel is in a state of disrepair, is dirty, and is generally rundown. Your greatest assets are your personnel. Otherwise, the hotel does not warrant any clientele. This will be reviewed in Expedia.

It was close by the airport with nearby dining and gas stations. The staff was very helpful.
Valerie
Beautiful room and conveniently close to the airport

The stay was nice. The check in process was fast and easy. I was disappointed that our tv was not working ion our room. I called the front desk to see if it could be fixed and the front desk person said, Oh does the tv say \"no signal\"? I said, yes and she told me that the guy that can fix that is not here on the weekends. She offered to move me to a different room and I declined. Really annoying and she knew what the problem was. Get someone in to fix the tv.
Raymond
Very pleased

Close to the airport and a short drive to downtown Syracuse. All in all a great stay.

Cindi
It was perfect for what we need. Very clean, quiet and breakfast was delicious. Most definitely would stay again
REBECCA
Everything about our stay was wonderful. The rooms are comfortable. Our only complaint is that the woman serving breakfast was touching the food with her bare hands from one pan to another. She used no gloves and we witnessed this with the eggs, the potatoes and sausage. Therefore, we chose to not have breakfast, which would have been nice as it was included in our stay.
Charles
Great room. Nice staff. Good breakfast.
Isaac
No complaints.
Nankumar
okay
Sharesa
The property was very clean & fresh. Some places appear to be clean but the air quality isn’t as great.

Yikes
I had minimal expectations, but damn. The first room had an ac with a broken compressor and ants. The lovely girl at the desk immediately switched our room. The TV had no internet so no streaming services or cable that was impossible to navigate. The free breakfast was insane. Eggs that were so overcooked they were brown and BOTH the pancake maker and toaster were broken. For what I paid this was an insane experience.
