A few things - the place is controlled via iPads and tech there isn’t a phone or room service or anything to connect with the staff. Elevators are all controlled through key pads and you have to check yourself in and do all the work to get your keycard working. While the staff are helpful and friendly it seems that iPads run the show. There was an issue with the wifi and therefore temperature control etc in the room as you can’t change it without an iPad or wifi. The showers are separate from the toilets and not ideal. It’s ok to experience this kind of hotel but would not stay again.

The room was gorgeous and the speakers in the room really made the experience even more fun, felt like a safe area and I booked it for my partner and he absolutely loved it! The queen beds were super comfy and I loved that you could control everything including the blinds opening with an iPad. I couldn’t fault this hotel! I would defo recommend this hotel & would 100% go back.

Staff was very nice and welcoming I gave it a 3 because there was a pee smell in the shower the toilet was stained, and at night there was a weird noise coming from the wall. Like a popping noise. In our last day we decided to at breakfast there. It was about $25, and there was much of a selection. The worst was the pre smell coming from the drain. It is in a good location where everything is easy to get too.

nice hotel - very modern! but AT WHAT COST?? its an open bathroom concept!! ruby hotels need to stop this because, aside from the bathroom situation its a very nice hotel but i would never stay at a place like this again without triple checking the bathrooms have some semblance of privacy!! why the heck is the sink next to the bed? even if you're traveling alone this concept is crazy

The room was in a pretty good condition besides water damage on walls and ceiling, it was stunning very spacious modern design. Something that should’ve been included would be a microwave especially for a residential room. Hotel staff were nice. Somewhat out of the way you had to go out of your way to find them despite being 24/7 my biggest complaint was housekeeping which was terrible. We had bottles of cleaning products left in our room. We had places our room completely uncleaned. We stayed in a room for seven days and the bedsheets had not been changed once. Also the tech failed quite often an iPad was needed to control the lights which had many difficulties and the TVs needed a lot of troubleshooting

Good location, easy to access via metro and metro is a 2/3 minute walk away. Lovely hotel, very stylish and affordable for what it is. Slightly annoying about cleanliness of room - never once was our room turned down. But on the day of our check out, housekeeping barged in without knocking. Also you’re unable to use the iPad which controls the lighting, windows and temperature of the room on day of check out… even though you have paid up until check out.

Myself and my daughter stayed here for our 3 night break. We were visiting family so used this hotel as a base. We were impressed by the lovely, clean modern room. My daughter absolutely loved it. We found the room very clean and tidy on arrival. We had two single beds, which were nice and comfortable. The staff were really helpful and friendly. We also really enjoyed the cocktails/mocktails down in the bar. The hotel is located close to the metro station, and local shops and a McDonalds.

Rooms are cold even with the heating up full, we had to ask for a heater which they did provide. No tea or coffee in the room and water is filtered from basin tap. Overall the hotel was a nice experience. I did notice that there were stains on some of the bedding and towels. The shower also drained poorly and it was hard to avoid tracking water outside of the shower.

Personally wouldn’t come back. I had to report mess that was still in the room, crumbs all over the chair and the floor and dust under the TV all across the frame. I also requested something for my birthday this was not picked up. Staff were not attentive. First impression counts certainly wouldn’t come back I didn’t get the impression others were talking about online.

Ruby Emma is a modern hotel, with the room controls, tv, lights, thermostat etc all managed from an iPad.
The room was spacious, private, clean and with a great wet room and shower.
The staff were all very positive and engaging and essentially very helpful.
All though the Spaklerweg location is a couple of miles from the centre, the hotel is just a 5 minute walk to the Metro station which is on the main three lines straight into Amsterdam - so very convenient from a transport point of view.
Thanks to everyone at the Ruby Emma, I would certainly stay there again.

This was my third stay at the Ruby Emma, and unfortunately, it was the worst. With ADE week in full swing, I expected a busy atmosphere, but nothing like this. During my previous visits, both the staff and facilities were excellent, easily 5/5.

The hotel hosted two ADE events on Friday and Saturday, which made things even more difficult. The bar menu and seating areas were mostly off-limits, and the staff seemed more focused on managing the events than on attending to guests. Music played until 1 a.m. both nights, and from my room on the second floor, I could hear it clearly and even feel the vibrations in the bed.

To make matters worse, housekeeping didn’t clean my room until Saturday, even though I checked in on Wednesday.

Absolutely stunning hotel stayed when running the Amsterdam Marathon and the location was perfect. The staff were a bit slow but think it’s mainly cause it’s all electronic check in ect but will defo be staying again if I run the marathon again next year ☺️
