This is definitely an economic choice close to transport for travelers. The rooms do not come with any bells or whistles and are quite bare. Not even a bottle of water. Staff seemed pretty apathetic. Got good sleep - comfy bed. The lobby lounge looked cozy and had many guests but I did not interact with the lounge. Not much around the area other than the convention center.

The *one* caveat is that the hotel does NOT have A/C. Eco-friendly means they have a “central climate control” but they specifically explain no air conditioning (see photo), even though their rooms listed as “air conditioning”. Business hotel, very near the RAI. Good view with big window. Room was compact. Felt designed that way, with the hangers hidden in a gap in the wall. It wasn't uncomfortabl, but not really welcoming either. (Not a criticism of the desk staff, who were friendly and helpful, it's the hotel itself, rather souless). A small example: there's no kettle/hot drink facilities. I like a hot chocolate or tea at night or in the morning. Here you have to buy a hot drink at the bar. If you're just parking your head on the pillow, it does the job, but even with business hotels, I'm used to a nicer experience in Amsterdam. So, nothing wrong with it, but I probably will avoid this chain in future.

This hotel is located 2 metro stops from the city center and one train stop from the Amsterdam Schipool airport. It was very convenient to get from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the city center.

Motel One Amsterdam is in a very convenient location only 4 stops on the Metro from Central Station. There are a few various restaurants and a supermarket close by and the breakfast at the Motel is also very good.
There is an also a RAI Station 4 minutes walk from the hotel that takes you through to the Airport in less than 10 minutes.

We stayed here for just one night before moving to an AirBnB with my family. The hotel is not far from the train station, so it’s easy to get to. We got an upgrade so our room and the bathroom are quite spacious. What I like best is that our room and the hotel in general is very clean. The staff is nice and attentive, and they gave us a warm welcome. I wished we stayed here longer, and we definitely will stay here again the next time we travel to Amsterdam.

Overall, it’s a good hotel, great staff and great breakfast. The issue is that they don’t accept $500 bills and you will be forced to use your credit card and this is not at all convenient for those who count on cash payment to not pay exchange rate on their credit card. For a payment over $1000, you cannot expect people to carry many $100 bills. It’s normal to carry $500 bills.

Location location location. If you dont want to be in the hustle in bustle but close this is the place. Right next to the bus stop,RAI station and the tram. It was perfect. In 20 minutes you were in central Amsterdam.
The staff was overall very helpful and nice. They did hold our luggage for us so we were able to explore while waiting for our flight.

there is no phone in the room. Normally that wouldnt bother me but i was on the 5th floor and had to walk down 4 seperate time. The first time was because there were mysterious red stains on my pillow and I wanted a new one. The staff member tried to give me an even dirtier pillow (sans pillowcase) and said that was the only option.
Also the only thing we had for a blanket was a duvet. They used a regular sheet instead of a fitted sheet to cover the mattress and it kept untucking itself. I went down to get an extra blanket and instead of just giving me my simple request i felt like i was lightly interrogated about the reason why i wanted it.
The other thing I was disappointed in were the amenities. For the price I am expecting a mini fridge, a safe, and at least separate shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. Small things but one of our nights cost 263$. You can't even give a bottle of water.
When I booked the place the booking site said breakfast included. Turned out it was included for an extra 16 per person. If the price was more reasonable I would not even have complaints.

One day at midnight, the fire alarm kept ringing, but there was no one from the hotel telling us anything about what happened. We had to pack everything and went downstairs in the staircase. The rainfall gutters don’t work so rain water pours off the roof to the windowsill on the second floor. The noise is extraordinary loud resulting in a broken night and little to no sleep. This must be a regular issue!

Very quite hotel, excellent access to metro to downtown and train to airport , very clean and modern rooms and hotel. Also, 1 block from grocery store. Negatives are bathrooms are small and decor very plain in rooms(no pictures). A recommendation to hotel is put air conditioning instructions in each room as very confusing to use, without getting picture of how of to use from front desk. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who desires a reasonable priced hotel in Amsterdam.

I wish that the bathroom had a slightly larger shelf for all my girly hair make up and shower items… A little corner self in the shower would not go amiss! I also wish there was a teensy bit more floor space in room so that I could have more easily done my yoga and Pilates. (I moved the furniture & luggage into the skinny “hall” by the bathroom & door so that I could have just barely enough space by the window to exercise.)

This hotel is by far the best hotel I stayed in in Amsterdam. the location was good, and the staff were awesome. Mohammed the front service manager is by far the nicest and most helpful person I met in the Netherlands. All the staff were so helpful. The rooms were neat, the style and design are modern and beautiful, and it is close to the city center. It's easy-to-get transportation from the hotel.

Great property. I will be staying here again. The room felt new and fresh. The room was clean towels, bed sheets and was spacious. The lobby/lounge area was very comfortable. The drinks from the bar were delicious 😋. The hotel is in the middle of two metro and train stations and are about a 5 min walk from the hotel. You can easily do Amsterdam from the hotel.

Nice hotel but has changed from previous years , not much other thank clean. Staff are ok but not up to the standard they just do the job just enough to give a mediocre rate. Location is good and quiet. Room is ok good size , TV is ok but old so usb port didn’t work or casting from from devise not available.
