I recently stayed at Element Amsterdam, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The hotel is situated inside a beautiful high-end mall, which made everything so convenient including a grocery store where I could easily grab a few essentials I forgot to pack. The location is also incredibly walkable, with easy access to the Central Train Station and surrounding neighborhoods.

But what truly made my stay unforgettable was the exceptional staff, especially Andreina. What a lovely person! She went above and beyond to make sure we felt supported and informed during our trip. She pulled out maps, shared thoughtful recommendations, and gave us tips that helped us explore so many great local neighborhoods we might have otherwise missed. Thanks to her guidance, we experienced Amsterdam in such a rich and meaningful way.

I’m so grateful to the entire team at Element Amsterdam for making me and my friend feel special, welcomed, and cared for. I would absolutely stay here again!

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was amazing. Everyone at the front desk was kind, friendly, and welcoming. The suite rooms were clean and had all the essentials if you plan to stay for a while. Also the hotel is conveniently located in a mall and there are options for shopping, food, and groceries. Also, it is a short distance to the Amstel Park which was very nice to go for a walk in. I highly recommend this hotel!

The room was clean and furnished with a good quality of furniture. Breakfast was excellent, staff provided wonderful service throughout our stay. The location is convenient, being close to a supermarket.

However, we weren't advised about the free bus from the shopping centre to Train station which meant we had to walk at least 20min each way to get around. That was a bit inconvenient.

Otherwise, it was very good accommodation experience overall.

This is one of the cleanest room I have ever reserved. Full kitchen and table available and close to all forms of dining and grocery stores. The location is further from the tourist area so the cost of dining is far cheaper. The metro is about 15 minutes walk and get you to the centraal with 20 minutes time. If you are tight on time, the ride-share service to the metro station is around 10 euro which is extremely good for a group. I will definitely come back to this hotel again when I need to book in Amsterdam

Exceeded expectations

As a family of four (mum dad and 2 boys ages 7 and 10) finding a single room for all of us is a pain. I was reluctant to book this one as the pictures werent great. I was so wrong! What a great stay we had! The room was perfect, location, although not central, was great worh good restaurants around.

To get to the edge of centre, i.e. vondelpark cost us around 40 euros a day total...

We also drove from the uk. The hotel is attached to a shopping mall (really useful!) Which has a carpark, the car park cost 20 euros per day (once we parked, i didnt move the car until we left).

The kids loved it, the wife loved it and overall i was very happy! And honestly, im a bit snobbish when it comes to hotels!

The bed was so comfortable as were the pillows. The location was also great. Nice and quiet while not being too far from the city. Public transportation was easily accessible to and from the hotel.

Lima was professional & efficient. This front desk officer was kind & welcoming after having a rough day traveling. My check out was not as nice as my check in with a different officer. When no one was at front desk I could hear persons talking inside I trued to get their attention and the response of a female was disrespectful & unkind. Please be kind to your guests we are traveling and have crazy journeys. We could have stay in different hotel but we chose yours…I checked in July 2 & checked out July 3.

Good convenient location, hotel is connected to a shopping mall, lots of places to eat, but the hours aren't the best. Easy walking into the center, but a good hike. Rental bicycles are available as this city is very bike friendly. Check-in was easy and fast, parking is available in underground garage shared with shopping mall, get ticket validated or pay a hefty price. Rooms are nice, I mean this is a Marriot. Only concern was shower water flows out to bathroom floor and slight mold build up at this drain point. Room has everything for an extended stay.

The room was a studio with sink, micro, dishwasher, fridge and king size bed. IT was immaculate as were all areas of the hotel. The included breakfast was great. Give Gabby a bump in pay for her excellent work and attention. Marie, Mariana, Anca, and AJ all deserve kudos for their wonderful care and concern for the guests at the front desk. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Element Amsterdam for two nights during a business trip, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in several areas.

My stay in The Element was a wonderful experience. The reception staff were pleasant, helpful & sincere while the morning cafe staff (Pansy & her colleagues) were accommodative, friendly and generous. I love the room coz it’s spacious & comfy & especially the kitchenette corner has all I needed. I’ll definitely return to stay again in my next visit to Amsterdam.

We really enjoyed our stay.the po atio was great and the staff was veryfriendly and helpful the breakfast was good with many options. The only problem we encountered during our stay was the laundry. After two dry cycles our clothes were still not dry. The kind woman at the front desk tried to help by adding additional time to the dryer but that did not work either. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is very pretty but full of hidden costs. To park your car you will have to for 42 Euros on top of the price and there's no parking on the street. But for that type of money $360 you can be downtown in a very pretty hotel and not in the boondocks.

The hotel is located inside a shopping mall with a lot of restaurants nearby. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Although it is bit away from city centre but is convenient to go anywhere by public transport or 10-15 minutes ride by Uber to city center. The room is clean and spacious. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful especially Ms Pansy Chan, the server of the breakfast restaurant, who had provided a lot of travel information about Amsterdam to us.
She definitely enlightened up our stay in the city. Will stay again for our next trip to Amsterdam.

We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel

We really enjoyed our stay. We had everything we need at our room, full kitchen with all the emenities, spacious bathroom and very comfortable bed, free coffee and tea at the lobby. Rooms were very clean and they provide cleaning service each day.
The hotel was in a very nice and quite neighborhood, easy to access by metro or tram to the city center, and just one station from the airport.
The mall next to the hotel was a nice addition and made it easy to pick up some groceries if we wished to cook a dinner to our self.
Reception was very helpful and we got all the recommendations and tips to travel around.
We would definitely recommend staying here.
And we wish to say thank you so much for our stay which made our vacation in Amsterdam to be above our expectations.

Nice hotel good breakfast. It’s a long walk from city centre. The front desk didn’t let us into our room until exactly 3:00. It was obvious the rooms were ready but I felt because we booked through Expedia they were sending a message. Everyone else that walked in they enthusiastically said your room is ready.

Great hotel for conferences in RAI

This is such a good hotel on a good location. There is a supermarket that is open till 10 pm. So it works out well for us as we were on a work trip. A small kitchenette if you need, and iron too for our clothes to be pressed. I like the bed and beddings. Also near the airport , easy coming and going.

We decided to stay out of City Centre so chose Element...an easy 10 min walk to Amsterdam South station where trains run every few minutes into city...train ride about 10 mins. All staff were very good , a good breakfast and Hotel is attached to shopping mall which is convenient.The hotel is new and modern ,clean and our 1 x bedroom apartment was ideal.A good gym too ! Also rented very good bikes one day !

Where do I begin? From the moment we walked into the lobby and were greeted genuinely by the people working there, we knew Twas going to be great. Our room 208 was superb. Amazing big comfy king bed, clean bathroom with amazing shower head, well equiped and clean kitchenette with everything needed to cook a meal in (which we did a few times), and to top it all off a buffet breakfast was included in the daily rates. You don’t get that at the Novotel.
Staff members from the cleaning staff to the beautiful women in the dining room to the staff at the front desk were always smiling and always greeted us. As Lisa, one of the lovely front desk people said, ‘we like our job and are glad to be there’ and this obviously came across.
We were in Amsterdam for 14 days insisting my son and we stayed elsewhere for the first 8 days then swapped over to this hotel for the final 6. Next time we will choose to stay here the entire time.
Location is wonderful. Easy walk to Zuid station, Jumbo supermarket downstairs for groceries and plenty of restaurants and takeaway cafes if you don’t want to cook. The only unusual thing is that there is no power outlet in the bathroom which made shaving and hair drying tricky but we managed. Also the microwave is so high and being really short that was a challenge but overall this hotel earned a 5plus rating from me.

Great apart-hotel,but breakfast could be better.

This is a great apartment-hotel in the business district. It's situated right next to a mall and is a short walk away from the business district. Access through public transportation is also not bad. My only issue with the property is that as part of the breakfast, there are no hot dishes included. For e.g. if you needed baked beans, sausages, or an omelette, you have to pay 2.5 Euro extra for each of the dishes. To me this feels really terrible for a brand of this repute. Otherwise everything else was great.

Enjoyable but could be improved...

I really do like the element amsterdam and have stayed many times at the property. That said, I feel certain aspects have gone downhill over the past few years. For one, the breakfast offerings are significantly reduced (with an extra charge for any hot or cooked items) and meager cold offerings with a rather sad looking appearance.
Second, the housekeeping does not reflect what a business-hotel should provide. Towels replaced with other dirty, stained towels (or not at all), toilet paper left empty without any replacement rolls, floor not vacuumed or swept - and one day a dirty cleaning rag was left on my floor alongside an old pillowcase. Not really up to standard.
Front desk staff however were all very helpful and responsive - and the facilities are very nice (gym, laundry, etc.)
I would stay here again, but hope they improve on the aspects mentioned above.

good hotel for holiday with kids

The hotel is great, service and breakfast is good, beds are very comfortable, but the room temperature is quite low. The mall near the hotel is a great opportunity for shopping. Location is a little bit far away from Metro to city center. But overall everything is great.

Great hotel really well located but there were no slippers or bathrobe in the room and in winter this is not very comfortable at all as there are no carpets in the room so the floor is very cold. Also no amnesties in the bathroom such as body lotion, shower caps, toothbrush and toothpaste etc.
