We had a very good experience in the citiden zuidas. Staff was attentive and accommodating. Room is nice and all basic needs are covered. Location very convenient being very close to tram line that goes to the citybon one side and to the mall on the other. On site restaurant with nice view.

The room was soooo cold even though I had it on full heat the whole time. I was also double charged for my stay which took half of my travel budget before the traveling even begun. They did not start to initiate the refund until after my bank had already gave them multiple chances and finally personally reimbursed me. The refund process started a week after my check in. As an apology I was given a single drink voucher. The hotel is around the corner from the trains BUTTTT you’re so far out of the city that after 12 you are nothing without uber. All in all it was mediocre, and you can definitely do better closer to the city for around the same provenance on Ubers and avoid the risk of being double charged. In addition the lack of outlets was a big issue for me even as a solo traveler just something to keep in mind for my ladies with hair tools.

We stay XXL room for 3 prs, Room quite small. After open sofa bed, no space left. Room is clean. Close to Tram-
(#5 & #25 12-mins to Zuid Trainstation where direct connect to airport (if no luggage). #5 straight into city center. No need to buy metrao/tram ticket - just tap your credit card while on / off the car.

Really handy apart hotel! Only about a 20/25 minute tram to the centre. Comfy bed and cosy room with helpful cooking facilities. Friendly and kind staff too. Could have done with some more cooking utensils and cleaning products though especially if you have a short enough stay, it’s a bit inconvenient to buy lots of things.

Good stay with modern rooms including like a “tiny” home type of configuration where the wall has your bed (so you have to fold the dining room table and move the chairs and pull down to get your bed). Also modern kitchen with fridge… definitely a plus! so you can go to your nearby AH and buy some grocery food to cook to save money

However, one thing, is that this place is about 30-40 minutes one way into Amsterdam Centraal (visa versa) from the tram (tram station is just right across the hotel (2-5 mins walk). There are other tram stops you can get off and on which can vary your time but generally that is the case as above.

Great stay at Cityden Zuidas. The staff allowed us to check in slightly ahead of the check in time. The room was as advertised and well appointed, had everything we needed for a short stay. Wifi was fast. Location was peaceful, couple of mins walk from tram stop which would get us to Zuid station in 10 mins. Would recommend

My partner and I arrived to Amsterdam early in the morning after flying in from Australia, so had a few hours until check-in. The staff member on the desk was incredibly friendly and not only helped with storing our luggage in their storage room, but also allowed us to freshen up in the gym/sauna area. He also told us about the up stairs restaurant area and rooftop, saying we could chill up there if we would like - which we did for a bit just to recoup after the length of travel. We were offered both water and coffee when sitting up there for a tad.

Check-in later was easy and cannot fault any of the staff on anything throughout our entire stay. Always so friendly and helpful. The room itself was also great. We had the Murphy bed room, but just kept the bed down the entire time. Only thing I could fault is that it was a bit of a walk to the room from the elevators and through multiple doors that needed your room card, but really not that bad. Loved that we had a little kitchenette and could prepare our own foods if wanted. The bathroom was also a decent size.

Location of property was really great with tram stop very close by. Not far from the airport, easy to navigate around using public transport and apps. Lots of other hotels around, and the area feels very safe when walking around, even at night. We had breakfast at the hotel one morning, which was easy to set up and pay for at front desk, and while a bit expensive, it was enjoyable and nice not to have to think about.

Excellent stay with easy access to the tram stop ( trams to Amsterdam Central and Station Zuid which has the metro and intercity trains including to Schiphol). Apartments were clean and well equipped. Optional breakfast @18 euros a bit on the pricey side.

Pro: We enjoyed our stay at this property. Very close to the tram 🚋 station. Staffs were nice and welcoming!

Con: it would be nice if the house keeping is provided earlier like maybe after 3days into your stay than their 7 days house keeping service rule.

And also just a heads up the room doesn’t have a door, it’s an open space. This was a bother to me upon arrival but there was nothing to be done.

Aside from these two complaints, everything seems okay and nice in my opinion.

It was nice stay in a quiet locality. Location is great with nearby tram station and Dirk supermarket at short distance. Had a little glitch on day 1 at checkin which was quickly resolved by the guest manager. Staff was very helpful and courteous. The rooms are great. Lots of storage and really clean. The kitchen is nice. The fold out couch is not that comfortable as the bed has springs, so you need to use the blanket as a topper.
There isn’t much around this location so stock up on supplies before you get there

Great place, not great service

I tried to pay for a late checkout and it wasnt offered at all. They said if not out before 12 pm (noon) that there would be a late checkout fee. I got down at 11:59. They charged me 40 euro as a late fee. They had no where for me to throw away my pizza box when i had it with me in the restaurant up top and said i needed to take it with me and find somewhere else to throw it.

Great hotel to base out of for trip to Amsterdam

This was a wonderful choice for our stay in Amsterdam. The hotel is about 20 minutes outside the central area of Amsterdam, but public transportation was very close and easy to use. Many hotels in the central city were over priced and small looking. This room was large and with kitchen. The front desk staff were very helpful (and even left a little Birthday welcome gift in the room on check-in!) The hotel restaurant was very good and affordable. Our next trip to Amsterdam, we will look to book this hotel again.

Perfect place outside of Amsterdam city centre.

We loved this apartment and the area it is in. Provided are some basic cooking utensils, pans and cutleryas will as a nespresso machine.
The tram is just a short walk away and there are plenty of restaurants and markets in the area.
The staff were always welcoming and knowledgeable. Bike rentals are available on the property.
We will stay here again!

Overall our stay was excellent. We enjoyed having a bar/restaurant right in the building. The room was clean and very spacious despite being a studio. The welcome package of dish tabs and other goodies was a nice touch. Staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable . The only negative is that the pillows were so large in size, it made them uncomfortable. Great option if you don’t mind commuting to Amsterdam central.

Cityden is great for travellers who want to save $ and are willing to stay just outside of city center. The center is not walkable but there is a metro 3 min walk away which was very affordable. 21Euro per person for a 3 day unlimited pass. we used it well. Our room was large enough for 3 adults, the kitchen was very well equipped. The breakfast was nice with many options but at $16.50 Euro we passed on that many days. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. very friendly and very helpful. one of them spend 1/2 hour with me trying to work out new years eve transportation logistics when the public transport was shut down. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who does not need to be close to the city center or who does not mind a 20 minute ride to center. not recommended for people who need frequent access to their room during the day.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at [cityseb] and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was met with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for my entire stay.

The room was beautifully appointed, clean, and incredibly comfortable. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the room’s design and the quality of the furnishings. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and I had some of the best nights of sleep during my stay.

Loved the fact that the tram line 5 stop was next to the property. Made getting downtown a breeze. The office staff was very helpful - the room spotless. The only negative was the restaurant which was slightly disappointing. But there are so many great restaurants only minutes away. Overall, a great stay.

Hotel check in was convenient and welcoming. Room was a nice size and had all we needed for our stay. Only minor issue was the small number of electrical outlets in the room. Probably my mistake reading the room description but I thought a washer & dryer was in each room, but there is one washer & dryer servicing the entire floor. Took about 3 euros to wash and 5 to dry, not the most efficient machines but at least we got our laundry done mid-vacation to save in packing more clothes!

Hotel is by a train station and connects to city centre easily, not much in the area for shops etc but a good launchpad to rest and train into the city to explore.

The overall aesthetics of the property was exceptional. Location was convenient to the tram by a short walk. My one complaint is that for an upscale hotel, they nickel and dime you for everything. In fact, coffee will cost you $1.50 per shot although we have a coffee machine in the room. When paying as much as we did per night, at very least, include the coffee.

The layout of the room making it hard to stay comfortably. Light switches are at the far end of the room. There were no electric outlet at the desk. Those were the infrastructure problem the hotel cannot fix.

On the service side, the laundry is nightmare. Washing machine got broken down half way during wash, leaving a load of half-wet half-dry dirty clothes at midnight. Staff were not helpful at all. When asked about whereabouts coin laundry / self service laundry in the area, staff pointed me to a wrong direction without checking making me carry the full load of dirty clothes and walk around the area for 30 whole minutes. Also, they did not change the towel even I have put up signs and asked for it explicitly. (it is written on the hotel description that once the sign is hanged on the door knob they would at least change the towels!)

Won't stay here again.

Aside from the bed placement and having to crawl over someone sleeping if you’re sleeping against the wall and although I understand why, I didn’t love that the electricity only works when your room card is plugged in, the staff couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating & knowledgeable. The location was quiet yet easily accessible to all parts of the city center on the 5 Tram. The food could have been much better at Lucia’s cafe but the friendly staff surpassed that. Overall, I’d give it a very high 4 out of 5.

I rented the Standard Studio room for 17 days. It's very spacious and perfect for solo traveller for long stay! There're are wardrobe space, kitchen counter top and a small table with chairs and single seat couch. The decoration is modern and very clean. It doesn't have daily housekeeping, but that's a good way to keep the cost low. You can however take clean towels from the laundry room daily and they will take garbage out for you daily as well - however, they only do a full \"check out\" housekeeping once a week, on Saturday. That was not a problem to me so it didn't bother me. Staff at front desk are SUPER friendly and always greet you with big smile. There's a tram station \"Kronenburg\" within 3 min walking distance away. Area is very safe. I constantly worked until 11:30pm and took the 11:45pm tram and didn't feel unsafe in the neighbourhood. The closest grocery store nearby is about 10-15 min walk away I believe. It's inconvenient if you need to bring heavy things like litres of bottled water back to the hotel. However, they have a small \"convenience store\" by reception, that you could purchase water, soda drinks, coffee, some snacks and cup noodles etc., which is convenient for travellers. It takes about 15 mins on the tram to travel to the Amsterdam Zuid subway station, which you can then take Metro and go to the city. It's not steps away but hotels in the city are a lot more expensive; the 30 mins travel time from whole hotel wasn't a dealbreaker for me.

Great location with shops and a few restaurants close by. Tram round the corner. Room and bathroom very clean. However the quilt and the mattress protector were soiled.

The room was clean and well-fitted, with ample natural lighting and space. A great place to stay, with excellent transport links to the city in a safe neighbourhood. Checking in and out was a breeze, thanks to the friendly team of staff. Highly recommended.
