Property is clean and comfortable and is value for the money it costs.
Staff were helpful.
It's a little out of the way but close enough to be convenient.
The design of the hotel reception rises to the top of the building with a clear roof, looks great but as people come in at all hours of the night that opens space acts as a microphone to what they are all saying so it's was quite loud during the night. It wasn't that bad but not ideal.

The hotel is a bit far off from Amsterdam Central, however public transport was a short walk.
The room and property was clean.
The property offers a self baking pizza station which was convenient for late night snacks.

Good location, few minutes from tram to Center taking approx 15-20mins. Shops close by too. Hotel was quite loud but perhaps where we were staying as it overlooked the reception! Not the cleanest hotel rooms but beds were comfortable. Didn’t really appear to be anyone around until the last day on reception as it’s self check in I get that but what if you need/want to speak to someone? Only people I saw regularly were the cleaners!

The room was cold and air conditioning put out cold too. Thd kind Receptionist gave me a heater for 2 days which helped. The roooms appear run down. Also no care was taken for the customers because the entrance was covered in ice. To clear and maje safe would have taken little effort. Enjoyed my stay.

Room was overall solid and had what I needed, comfy bed, clean space, coffee and a hot shower. The common area was also very warm and welcoming. The staff really made this place great though. I needed help with a few things around town since I was new and unfamiliar and they did a great job to help out. Overall, I'd recommend this place and I'm probably going to come back to stay here again.

Hotel was nice. Staff friendly, breakfast buffet was wonderful, bars was almost always open and full of patrons which made for a fun atmosphere. It’s kinda far from central Amsterdam but it’s an easy walk to either the tram or metro. Would definitely stayed again.

the room was large and clean it was extremely noisey in the room above us and we could hear every footstep and conversation. it was if there was no sound insulation between the floors.
breakfast was ok but very expensive given what it was, an equivalent in the UK would be included in the price of the room.
the area where the hotel was situated was not the best but did have good transport links

This is a minimalist hotel with only the most basic amenities. I specifically disliked that there was no proper soap or shampoo. The squeeze bottle was difficult to use.
The good thing was that the room was very quiet, so you could sleep properly. The location isn't the most convenient, it's very far from the central areas.

The hotel itself was great, only issue we had was that our room door latch was not working, and our bathroom door wouldn't shut unless it was slammed with force. Front desk said they would send maintenance up to look at the faulty door latch, but if they did, nothing came of it. Other than that our stay was pleasant.

The area around the hotel is definitely dodgy - there's a homeless shelter just around the corner, and we witnessed drug dealing and junkies right outside the hotel gates. One guy (very clearly out of it) even walked into the hotel grounds to ask guests who were smoking outside for money, though security was quick to escort him out. Even though my partner and I come from a place where this is the norm, we would not choose to stay in the area again unless absolutely necessary.

Repeatedly, we had to ask receptionist to act as bartender. Bartender was absent from the bar. It made us feel that no one really cared about us. That reflected in a lack-lustre lobby. Empty most of the time with no charm or warmth.
Wont visit hotel again.

The staff was extremely unhelpful and unfriendly.
The furniture is the cheapest of cheap.
The “closet blocks the hallway and makes it nearly impossible to bring suitcases in.
The shower does not drain well.
The tv did not work. Possibly just the remote, but there was no staff available to help resolve that, and the telephone that did not work.

It's a very average hotel with limited services. On the new hotel's area rooms are fine but the ones on the old area are dated and feel stuffy. Staff is nice. Also, it is worth informing that very close there's a homeless shelter.

Very much a below par hotel from a big player in the market. No dining offering so guests were forced to buy take away and sig in the bar. The bar offering extended to a few run of the mill beers and wine, that’s it! Best Western are blessed with some lovely staff who are being let down by management.

I liked that we could walk to the tram and easily get to the city. We did not like that we could not even get a cup of coffee without paying 4 euros. Lots of tour buses come to this hotel but it was very quiet.

Idea for the environment: Have room notes the you have room service incl refill coffee & tea but don’t change linen & towels etc unless asked to or indicated eg towels left in the shower.

Check room cleanliness. The Curtain in my room was in need of a wipe or clean.

The Night staff was very unprofessional. When asked for help they would point and laugh. I just found them to be very unprofessional and looked like they didnt want to help or make our stay pleasant. Very very disappointed, as I have stayed at many Best western before. The day staff was helpful and nice. Night staff need to be trained properly about customer service and etiquette.

The pictures used to show the rooms are not representative of what the rooms look like in reality. There is no airconditioning and the rooms have limited airflow. If you leave your window open, even on the 4th floor the cigarette and marijuana smoke comes into the room. The staff was very accommodating and helpful at all times. It is well situated for public transport, but I doubt I would stay there again. As loyal Best Western customers this hotel was a miss for us.

Its a cheap hotel, you get what you pay for. Beds are good and comfy.
Shower lowkey just overflowed as drian didnt work so had to use 3 towels as a mop and barrier, but apart from that shower worked 😅
Check in and out via machine kiosk was quick, good, cool

Could have been a 5 star review. Hotel overall is good and clean. Reception staff were nice and friendly. Room was ok when we checked in. We stayed several nights, the first night our room was cleaned and made up however the next night we found our room as we left it. Trash bin full, no towels, no soap,… We spoke with the front desk but seemed everyone in house keeping was gone. The next day after complaining the room was cleaned we got fresh towels but dirty cups where left soap was empty…. Overall the hotels house keeping staff is terrible and pays no attention to cleaning or details. What a shame that bad housekeeping staff ruined this hotel’s review. If you can stay somewhere else do it, stay here if you don’t have anything else.

I was impressed with the hotel. It was better than I was expecting. Breakfast was good and there was lots of choice. Self-check in and out was new to me, but it worked well and was very convinient. When we arrived in the room, we were missing the espresso machine we had paid extra for. A quick trip to reception got that sorted out and they brought the machine to the room. Good location, a few minutes walk to the tram.

Only downside was the very soft mattresses and odd square shaped pillows.
Location is about 30 minutes by tram (an 8 minute walk from the hotel) to the city centre, hence much cheaper than staying in the centre but still convenient.
Breakfast is quite expensive but there is a nearby cafe (near the tram stop) that serves an excellent a very good breakfast (as well as lunch and dinner).

Staff did not clean room everyday unless asked. Once staff was asked to clean the room, they asked up to help them do it. Not a convenient location to downtown Amsterdam. Bathroom shower head sprays out to the rest of the bathroom, making the floor wet. Bathroom shower body wash was not restocked. Coffee was not restocked everyday.

Quite a walk from metro or tram. It was a nice walk though challenging with bags and backpack. How I wish we could rent a bike to the station. Near tram to the Museumplein, 8 stops to Vondelpark and add more for the museums. I was just getting use to the transportation it may be good location for anything else like the airport.
