Our stay was good, the rooms were really small and the hotel itself is outdated. Our shower head was broken and had mould in it. The beds were comfortable. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the bus stop which takes you into the main town which was good. Overall you can find a better hotel for a similar price.

The hotel was priced at a decent value for Amsterdam prices. The conditions of the facility were pristine. If you’re looking for a quiet stay, this place is perfect for you. We wanted to go downtown frequently and the transit time took a lot out of our days. Overall great facility, just a little out of the way.

This property is completely out of the city.
Booked for 2 nights, lost almost 150 Euros.
Request staff for help in cancelling the Booking for 1 days if they can not do for 1 days , even I requested them for partial refund
They didn't want to hear anything. Unfortunately I. Had to leave the hotel in 1 day and paid for 2 nights.

Nice stay, despite list reservation

The hotel had no reservation for us when we arrived to check in, even though we made the reservation through Hotels.com several months earlier, and had even communicated with them through the app. The front desk people were very nice about it when I showed them my reservation on my phone, and got us a room of the same type and for cheaper than we had booked it for. However, there was another mistake later as our keys stopped working after two nights, even though we were staying for a third night which had been booked seperately by the tour company we were going with. I had communicated with them about this at the time of making the reservation, and again at check-in two days before. But again they quickly rectified the situation and we were able to stay in the same room. Otherwise, the hotel was pleasant, albeit a little out of the way if you don't have a car. But we took the bus 369 and transferred to tram 2 to get into central Amsterdam.

This is a good hotel to stay at. Bus stop is not far away and a mini market right outside. Great breakfast selection. Dinner selection not too much. Good drinks at the bar. Staff were generally helpful. Our heat didn't work in our bedroom and they were doing construction in the hallways.

Really enjoyed our stay, was clean and staff were super helpful and couldn’t do enough for us all. Food in the restaurant and for breakfast was brilliant and we were very relaxed. Only thing was that, that was no baby changing unit considering you advertised that child are free. Near a bus stop too so very easy to get to anywhere- would recommend.

Staff were unhelpful, communication was impossible due to their phone number not in service, poor response to email and unclear directions. At the hotel we were told we had to to do everything through the on line travel site (Ex…..) whom we could not reach due to lack of service on our mobiles. Consequently we spent the night in the airport on a bench. Worst travel experience ever.

We were so happy with our stay here! It is easy to get from the airport by bus, and the hotel sent us a helpful email ahead of the trip with the navigation details, as well as a recommendation to buy an Amsterdam travel ticket at the airport, which got us everywhere in city during our 3 day stay. At the hotel there was delicious breakfast with a good variety of protein options. There is a peaceful garden area with a fountain, and a lovely patio off the bar area to enjoy it. Staff was friendly and helpful.

My experience at this hotel, wasn’t too good and I will explain why.
When I have arrived at the hotel, there was a queue at the check in desk, that is totally understandable. What is not not understandable, is why it was taking extremely long for the 2 staff members to process the check in for each guest. We were about 10 persons in the queue, and it took about 45 min until I was served.
I have asked the receptionist what went wrong and he blamed the slow system. All right, I accepted the situation and went in my room for the 5 hours sleep.

In the morning I was in a rush of course, after such a short night. I left the key room, as I knew that I haven’t had any consumption or nothing on my room.
The receptionist stop me like I was about to run without paying, and she told me that I have to pay the city tax and some hotel fees that weren’t paid.
I said that if there are any taxes like these, I am meant to pay them at the check in. Not at the check out. She said that it was a mistake. And I said that it is not my fault that it was a mistake, and now I don’t want to pay the waiting time for my Uber that was waiting outside, because they made a mistake.
Of course I have paid in the end, but I didn’t like at all the approach of the receptionist, and the tone of her voice, like I was the sneaky one in this situation.

Other than this, room was ok, clean, and I can’t say more for the 5 hours spent there. 😃

The hotel is very near a bus line that we could take into the heart of Amsterdam or to the airport which was really convenient. Staff was efficient and reasonably friendly and the room itself was quiet and clean. There’s a great big park and a lake right south of the hotel which would be lovely to spend time in.

This is an average level hotel, far from the city centre and without public transport nearby. The window at our room was broken and one of the towels in bathroom was really dirty.
The breakfast was very good and the bed was comfortable.

Clean hotel, courteous front desk, but a disappointment overall:
1. Ridiculously expensive hotel restaurant.
2. Terrible location: not only are you a 20 minute bus ride away from anywhere interesting in Amsterdam, but the property owners couldn't even lobby for a bus stop nearer to the hotel entrance than an 8 minute walk along a bicycle path near a highway. And the hotel entrance, it catering primarily to motorists, faces the parking lot, making for extra walking when dragging your luggage from the bus stop.
3. They made the beds every day, but didn't bother replenishing the Nespresso cups and sugar packets. One cleaning lady refused to help me because my room wasn't assigned to her, so I had to walk to the front desk.

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated how communicative the hotel was prior to our booking, specifically helping us with getting there from the airport. Since we showed up too early to check in, they held our bags for us which was great!

It is about a 5 minute walk to the bus stop that takes you to the tram station that will take you to main town (central station). It does take about 30-45 minutes for commute. But if you are only there a couple of days, it’s worth it in price.

There was construction happening to their lobby, but other than that I’m sure it’s great!

Gas station next door for snacks and such!

A nice stay with a few negatives

We were in Amsterdam for the Amsterdam Marathon. We were pleased by the hotel staff, the beatiful lobby area and the breakfast was very good indeed.As it was quite a distance from the central Amsterdam, and hard to get to and from Olympic stadium where the Marathon start/finish, it wasnt the ideal choice. The only other negative was the very small fridge that did not cool properly and the lack of food choices as the inside restaurant did not have a chef on the dates we were there, especially on Sunday night after the race.

Great quality rooms and beautiful surroundings, across the road is a lake and mini beach which is a really nice place to relax in the evenings. The city is a 10 minute taxi away with public transport options too. The quality of the hotel is great with very comfortable beds, the only downside to our stay was a very rude member of staff. He worked in the restaurant/bar area and seemed to have no time for tourists, tutting and rolling his eyes whenever he had to do some work. We were told we could pay for breakfast when we had finished by another member of staff, and as we went to get food he ordered us to pay now at the bar. At one point he said \"why are you paying separately? Now I have to do twice the work\" when we ordered drinks with our friends. Put a very sour note on our stay and if you can't deal with tourists, you shouldn't wok at a hotel. All other staff were polite and helpful for which we are thankful.

Great place with great service!

Very good stay, and very happy with the service, specially from the guy at the front desk (sorry, don't recall his name but a big bald guy :) )... we had a couple of small issues, but he quickly resolved them, one of them was that the mini bar didn't work, not only did he manage to get it fixed, but to compensate they left some free drinks for us!
I come to Amsterdam often, and this hotel is now on top of my list.

The hotel is quite near the airport but still in a quiet location. The clerk was very welcoming even though we arrived after midnight and our booking was made only an hour prior due to the chaos at Amsterdam airport resulting in a missed flight. Would recommend.

The hotel is close to the airport on a lovely spot opposite to a park/lake what worth a visit. The staff is nice and helpful reception is open all time. The bed is comfortable and the room is very silent really good place for a rest. Only negative thing was about the towels we have been 2 in the room and only get one towel and first night we didn’t have any.

Odd location in an industrial park. Location not as close to airport as thought. Still a 28euro cab ride each way.

Upon arrival Sat night, not received warmly by staff - overall very transactional.

Room ok but mattresses too soft. Found someone’s long hair on mattress under sheet.

Price was reasonable. Good shower.

Would not feel comfortable staying there as a single female.

Was flying, stopping over to sleep. I confirmed this with staff night before and ordered food to eat in room for my evening arrival. I was a little late and on rout to hotel from airport I called to tel them and manager said he was refusing to honor booking due to a recent change in regulations. He was rude, uncaring and antagonistic, instead of apologizing for leaving me literally out in the cold at night in a foreign country/ city and maybe offering me room at other branch within airport as a compensation.

Our holiday flights was cancelled last March due to covid-19 and lockdown. Did not get any refund but our friends who were booked at the same time and date got theirs, also on the same package. We were offered with re booking it before March 2021, as we all know nothing is certain, just do not understand why we were not refunded but some are???

Great property to stay at. Easy to get the bus straight into city centre. Staff are friendly and the rooms were very spacious and clean. Would definitely stay again.
Only fault we found was that the way to the bus stop isn’t very safe, you have to cross a dual carriageway with no path so a path would be ideal to get over the busy road or an overpass. Other than that great stay!

You have this hotel down as having rooms with a bath, this is not true since they made changes some time ago. The hotel said that they have sent you this information in the past. My husband cannot stand up without his shoes on and that’s why we needed somewhere to stay that had a bath. They did accommodate us and got us a shower chair and also upgraded owner room. Thanks to them our stay was a good one. Please update it on your system insure people get what they require. Kind regards Elaine McCrae

Both close to the airport & to town. Right next to the gas station (if you are not wanting \"hotel food\" and prices) and are willing to have both sandwiches, rather than \"meals\". Be warned- the warm sandwiches stop in the early afternoon (around 1400).

Took the hotel up on their option use their bicycle rental. Please have the bikes inspected regularly- mine the seat would not stay in place- leading to several (almost major) catastrophes.

Good and comfortable hotel, it is a bit far from old town. We need to catch bus 397 to go to town. The bus runs every ten minutes, it is very convenience. Once we are down the museum areas, we just walk everywhere. Breakfast is good, we use hotel shuttle to airport which works out perfect for us.

Its a relaxing hotel. Quite and peaceful. I was little shockd when I had to pay extra 21 Euro for service and tax but well, aware of it guys. King size Bed was super comfortable, I enjoyed it. It has no bath and stepping stone at front bathroom door can be dangerous. I turned on light in the bathroom, just in case I wont fall over for me needs in the middle night. Overall everything was great expect one thing. Receptionists aren't helpful enough . I dont know whether English barrier or I'm Asian or its thier custom but the way, they are dealing with me wasn't the best. I think if they can adjust little manners and being more helpful to cusromers . They will achieve hight standard for their service.

Really good hotel. Very close to the airport, a bit far from city center, about 30 min but easy to reach, and the bus is scheduled every 10 min. They offer free parking which is excellent since most of the hotels in the area don’t offer. We were renting a car for day trips and that made a big difference. Staff was great and very helpful. Hotel very clean and good accommodations. Would definitely stay there again!

We stayed for our layover at AMS airport. Its very close but not close enough that you hear airplane with windows open. its next to the park like so if you want to walk around, It would be very nice. Airport shuttle 5 euro is so much better than even Uber at 15 euro. its about 5 min from the airport so its convenient.

It shd provide guests with free shuttles instead of charging €5 per room per stay. Quite confusing also we got to do reservations every time we wan to board the shuttle service even though there is a display on the bus schedule at the reception counter.
It wd be nice if the hotel provides toothbrush and toothpaste.

Hotel staff were very friendly and speak good English. The rooms were extremely clean, bed so comfortable and the most amazing shower! Ate in the restaurant twice, best salmon salad sandwich I have EVER had.
Such a reasonably priced hotel and even collected us from the airport, very close to a bus stop so easy to hop on and go to town.
Our first time in Amsterdam and we can not wait to return, will definitely be staying at Mercure.
