The rooms are great, quiet and spacious. There is no mini bar though. One thing I noticed was that the toilet paper was remarkably hard for a hotel in this category. A word of caution about “room service”: they call you when your food is ready and expect you to pick it up at the bar. That is not announced anywhere when using their very convenient online ordering system.
The spa is spacious and I had a good time there. It is better than most hotel spas, though the pool is too warm and gets cloudy with time - people just can’t follow sauna etiquette/take a proper shower before going into the pool. Atmosphere is hit or miss, as many people are very loud in these spaces and treat them as a social occasion. Another thing is that they should give out reusable plastic slippers. The hotel slippers are not usable when wet. All things considered, I would stop here again if I needed a place at the airport.

We had to stay several nights due to flight cancelations. The rooms were comfy, the staff was always kind and accommodating. They seemed to feel our pain. After 5 days we were finally able to leave and they wished us well. Great place to stay close to the airport.

Very practical and well operated airport hotel. The room was clean and quiet. Most important to me, the quality of the bed and the bedding was all excellent. Only negative is absolute lack of streaming or smart TV options, so no way to watch Netflix etc in the rooms. That meant two English language news channels only, which is pretty lame considering it is 2026. Otherwise a comfortable and pleasant hotel.

Wow, such a lovely experience. I was traveling alone with my 5 year old and the staff was so helpful and friendly. They welcomed us with a small stuffed animal for my kiddo, a free bathing suit so she could swim, and free breakfast for her in the morning. The airport shuttle was so convenient and the room and facilities were great. We will definitely stay there again in the future. Many thanks to the entire staff!

I booked a double bed, but upon arrival, they gave me 2 single detached beds and told me it was due to what’s available.

Both tea cups were ‘minging’ - very dirty. I had to take a photo and went downstairs to show them, and all they could do was change them but nothing to the effect of, ‘we apologise on behalf of housekeeping etc’.

They took €50 when on checking out for tax, and told me it was refundable but uptil now I haven’t seen my money.
Overall, I will say I only appreciate the driving of the shuttle.
Not sure I will be able to rebook this hotel in the future, nor recommend it.

It was my first visit at your hotel. It was excellent. Courteous personnel, assistance
with my heavy luggage. Beautiful room and bath. I enjoyed the buffet although I
almost missed it because I didn't see any signage and almost settled for snacks.
But when I finally asked someone I had a lovely meal there.Next time I am in Holland
I will be happy to stay with you again. also the bus to the airport was on time and

If you're looking for an airport hotel, Steiginberger Hotel is almost perfect! There is a shuttle to and from the airport every half hour. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean. The heated pool and gym are lovely. There is also a complete spa area with steam bath, sauna, and quiet relaxation area of cots. Fantastic! Our first time there, we ate in the Sports bar - dinner was excellent and fresh. The beer is overpriced - 10 Euro for a pint of Heineken. We looked forward to our next visit, but were disappointed with the meal arrangements. They offered a 'World Buffet' for 38 Euro. We did not want a buffet. But when they Buffet is available, the Sports Bar serves only snacks. Breakfast is also a 30 Euro Buffet. We just wanted coffee and a muffin. Be prepared to bring something with you, or eat at the airport. The hotel is located right beside the Amsterdam Bos, a beautiful forest with walking trails. Hotel staff gave us easy directions to get across the busy road and enter the forest. Given the shuttle, the location, decor and high standards of comfort, pool, spa, forest, and buffet or restaurant - the Steinenberger is a great choice.

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.
The hotel is about a ten-minute drive from the airport, and the free shuttle bus is quite handy. You can find the stop to the right of the airport’s main exit. There’s a noticeboard listing the times and bus stop numbers for each hotel offering the service, just look for your hotel and note which stop is yours (there are several lined up along that road). The shuttle is a van with the hotel’s name clearly displayed. Each van serves only one hotel and runs on a fixed schedule, so be punctual! Luggage space is limited. Ours ran every thirty minutes.

The hotel itself is spacious and offers good sound insulation. The reception staff felt a bit detached and occasionally incompetent—especially noticeable coming from the UK, where receptionists tend to be better trained. Still, when I needed help, I got it. Perhaps it’s just a local cultural difference?

The room was adequate, with nice, comfy beds. I’d recommend signing up for the hotel’s membership to access faster internet. The shower was fine, the mini fridge was convenient, and the kettle was tucked away in a small wardrobe. I would have preferred a larger, metal kettle for better taste, but it did the job. The blackout curtains were excellent and ensured a good night’s sleep.

The pool and gym were a welcome bonus, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Breakfast was good, though a bit on the expensive side.

I would stay again:)

The room was very clean which allowed me to assume the stained carpets were clean as well. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The shuttle bus driver did not once consider to help anyone with their bags... even though a woman struggled to manage her suitcases. He continued to sit next to his tip jar. Another person came to provide her with assistance.

The airport shuttle was mostly on time the majority of the time. Usually they leave on the half hour from the hotel so the airport they would show up around 10 mins later. On one occasion, they had a whole platform of patrons from a cancelled flight we had to wait 2 shuttles and push ourselves on. shuttles are small they should call another hotel to pick up the excess people or have at least 2 shuttles. The breakfast buffet is extremely healthy, lots of options however the hot food is placed in plates with heating lamps and not heated plates. Not sure why there was a rice and rice and water. Oatmeal would have been a good option. There is every kind of fruit, cold cuts, juices, fresh breads, eggs made to order, yogurts and every condiment known. Even champagne, 3 different types of water, fresh honey from a honeycomb. Very good selection of fruit, salad and salmon. 0ne lemon loaf cake which was good day 1 but not everyday and always chicken sausage, pork bacon, pancakes. etc...aside from some items being cold, i ate my fair share of great healthy food every day. The staff (one staff) at the front desk literally threw the cards and said here's your room it's on the 3rd floor. nothing else. worse check in and gave us the worse room, smelly next to ice machine and elevator, husband went downstairs to get another room greeted by a nice staff who gave us a nice room on the 5th floor. it was our 3rd time at this hotel. Dinner buffet excellent lots of selection.

One nearby restaurant. The hotel only offers the buffet at €40.00 each. The bar stops serving meals at 17:00 when the buffet opens. The buffet itself is not good. Only a dozen customers, so all the food sits on display for some time before being consumed. Otherwise eat at the airport or go into Amsterdam. The room was clean and comfortable. The free shuttle to the airport was on a schedule every half hour. Very convenient to take the shuttle to the airport and then the train into Amsterdam. I have stayed there twice and would stay there again.

I typically do not leave critical reviews; however, my experience at this hotel was disappointing. I have stayed at Steigenberger hotels previously in Frankfurt and found the staff there to be helpful and responsive, with facilities that were well maintained. Unfortunately, the Amsterdam Airport location did not meet the standards I have come to expect from the brand.

**Issues Encountered:**

1. **Airport Shuttle:** The shuttle bus was overcrowded, and I was directed to stand in the rear, holding only a strap for support. The driver, who was curt, took corners at high speed, making it difficult to keep my balance and avoid colliding with other passengers.
2. **Check-In Process:** Upon arrival, I waited more than 20 minutes in line despite observing only two to three clerks assisting guests. One staff member, although seemingly available, informed me she was only helping those without reservations.
3. **Room Temperature:** My room was clean; however, it was uncomfortably warm. The thermostat appeared nonfunctional, and repeated calls to guest services went unanswered.
4. **Breakfast and Shuttle:** Although I appreciated the complimentary breakfast, I opted not to partake due to concerns about catching the shuttle. Despite arriving early, the shuttle filled quickly, and I was unable to board. Ultimately, I took an Uber
From my perspective, this episode undermines the integrity of the Steigenberger brand

Our check in and room were great. The convenience of the shuttle was good as well.
We were tired and hungry, so the sports bar was available for food……allegedly.
We received our coffee order, but the person who took our food order apparently didn’t bother to send it to the kitchen. After not only waiting way too long, but also being ignored by the staff, we paid for our coffee and decided to try the buffet that just opened.
The buffet was expensive and had some interesting options, however, the chicken ( thighs?) were undercooked and the beef patties were overcooked and tough.
This was not a good food day!

We called the place asking if the shuttle runs late as well because our train was delayed and they reassured us that it is 24/7
When we got to the airport, there was no shuttle and when called the hotel, they said the last service was at 11:45pm.
They asked us to uber to the hotel when they had specifically mentioned that there is a shuttle.
Made the experience awful with tiredness and so many luggages to carry!

Sadly of the 3 restaurants on site 1, the Italian was closed. The sports bar only served snacks after 5pm, although weirdly you could still order a burger on room service! The only place to ear for dinner was the world buffet and when staying for 9 nights that really wasn’t an option. Luckily Wings just over the road was great and there were a couple of hotels within a few minutes walk. Hotel was fine just a shame about the lack of choice for eating.

A great overnight stay! Arrive pretty late, but the check-in process was straightforward. The rooms was very comfortable, with options for room service (used for one of our rooms).

Restaurant bar for food was also good. Nice relaxed atmosphere. We missed out on the shuttle to the hotel (can only assume driver break times, so no shuttle between certain times).

Taxi to the hotel from Schiphol was €32.00.
