Hotel exceeded my expectations. Enjoyed my stay and the location was in a lovely area. Naomi in Reception was very helpful in providing a plan of where to visit in the City, thank you. For anyone planning their stay at this hotel, here are directions from the Airport. Buy a train ticket to ‘Station Zuid’ (also buy a separate GVB pass (this works on Trams/Metro/Buses)). When you get off at SZ, follow the ‘Tram’ exit sign. You’ll walk out of the station for 5 mins, up some stairs and in front of you is the tram line. Catch Tram 25 or 5 and get off at ‘Amstelveen - Uilenstede’. It’s a 5 min walk from here. From the Hotel to the City. Get back to Station Zuid. Follow signs for the Metro and board Metro 52 - get off at Centraal. One thing to note, you need to tap in/out when getting on/off the Tram - failure to do so disables your GVB Travel Pass. For the metro, you need to tap in/out at the barriers. The GVB pass is activated the first time you use it and then lasts for 24/48 hrs from that moment…enjoy!

The location is excellent within walking distance of grocery stores, close to the Amsterdamse Bos for cycling, and well connected by public transportation. The hotel is not a problem. However, the public transportation interruption due to discontinuity of tram 5 is a big surprise and nuisance. It was not mentioned either in Expedia or the hotel website. Our travel to city center changed from 30 minutes to one hour.

Room was hot. Thermostat only made it cool for a few minutes and then it's back to sauna. I was told the thermostats are stuck on economy so obviously they dont care about their customers' comfort at all. I was up until 6 am trying to get the room cool and offered no compensation. Wont stay here again.

A gem inside and wonderful staff

The apart hotel is not the prettiest outside, just wait until you get inside. It is beautiful, so smart, clean, loads of space, perfect!
We had a room for 3 people, it was great to have the space, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the lounge area was great.
The staff on the front desk were super helpful, always friendly and kind.
The staff at breakfast were lovely, really attentive and nothing was too much trouble.

Nice and roomy, generally clean except for the toilet seat and there was a silverfish on the floor one day. The kitchen was well fitted. The bathroom was huge and the appliances were excellent quality. The bed was very comfortable and firm. Perfect for a city break

Everything was better than perfect, the one thing that was missing was a good WiFi connection which kept dropping every few minutes. Maybe because we were on the far side of the building where the signal reach was spotty, but something easily fixable and in this day and age necessary to function flawlessly.

Clean apartment hotel near uilenstede tram line, nearby Amsterdam South Station and near Amsterdam Forest. The apartments was spacetious, the kitchen came equipped with pots and pans and utensils. The room had a decent living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, but only 1 toilet. The shampoo/soap dispensers were difficult to use,

Very helpful and friendly staff!! Outside city Center but only 1 tram to downtown that has regular reliable service - takes about 15min. 20 euro Uber ride from old town. Less than 20 min to airport. Had a 2 bedroom and every room has TV. Nice area for jogging with lots of trees and grassy areas. Would definitely return!

A Great Weekend Stay

The room/apartment was excellent and huge! Very modern and clean. We had almost everything that we needed, no hand soap or towel in the separate toilet. These were found in the bathroom, so it was a little odd that you had to leave the toilet and go into the bathroom to wash your hands. The kitchen was fully equipped but would’ve been a nice idea if they offered to fill the fridge on arrival with basics like milk, bread or drinks, especially if arriving late.
The bed was lovely and comfortable, only 2 pillows supplied for double bed, we asked at reception if we could have another 2 and they delivered.
We had breakfast with our stay, a mixture of hot and cold, all that you would normally expect. The seating area wasn’t very big and the hot breakfast minimal. The staff were all polite and friendly.
We would definitely stay here again!!

This hotel was overall great. The rooms were spacious and well appointed- nespresso machine, dishwasher, tvs, etc. You could not hear noise from adjacent rooms or those above you - only occasional door slams. The breakfast had lots of options and was pretty good. I also appreciated the laundry room in the basement. It’s pretty far from the city center but close to a tram station. The staff were all helpful, friendly and always happy to accommodate. I would stay here again if back in Amsterdam.

The room was spacious, had all the amenities advertised, and sits in a very walkable neighborhood adjacent to student housing for the university.

You can hear airplane traffic; be aware of that. And the students across the street enjoy their weekends with parties.

We had a great stay- the rooms are spacious and are fully equipped. Lovely that they also have nespresso machines and rituals shower gel/hand wash. Very convenient with the tram a 5 min walk that takes you in to central Amsterdam. Also very close to Amsterdam Zuid station which has trains to all other Netherlands, also only 6 min on the train from Zuid to the Airport!

Adagio Hotel stay three nights

As we approached the hotel we thought oh my god what have we booked here. The building looked old and run down. However, upon entering the building you're immediately hit with a wow factor. A pleasant surprise. The indoor decor is stunning and the room was 5*. We had a lounge and a kitchen. It felt like an apartment not double room. All the staff were friendly, and helpful and we didn't have one issue in our three days. The train in to Amsterdam central is 5 min walk and so much cheaper than Ubers. Just wished we used on first day and not last! 100% will book again when we return.

BEWARE OF THE UPCHARGES! This property does not accurately describe its rooms, and when bringing this to the hotel's attention they were less than helpful - they instead tried to charge us an additional 30 Euro more per night in order to get the room we thought we reserved, based on the room's descriptions online. The staff was less than helpful in remedying the situation and was rude. Checking in early? That'll be another 30 Euro... Breakfast? That'll be another 30 Euro... it became a joke to us that everything here was an upcharge. Not to mention the location is nowhere near city center (~20 minutes by tram and a 10-minute walk to the tram station). It's not worth it. Pay a little more to stay somewhere else (even at the hotel next door).

Funny comment from a receptionmist

When I checked in I requested a room on facing roadside (Beneluxbaan), receptionist, Filamon said only one such room available on 1st floor. I spoke to other female receptionist and she said to check the next day and after departures I will be able to change my room to a roadside room. Next day when I called to do this room change Filamon started to say a room change is not possible as it cost them lots of money to clean a room for me etc. I really do not know where and who has trained him to talk to a paying guest??? I explained him he should NEVER talk to a guest like that as I already paid a multiple of such a room cleaning charges etc. So far during past 37 years I have been to 158 different countries and I have stayed in hundreds of hotels but NEVER heard such an insane comment from a hotel employee. Please inform this hotel to train their staff better.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking on the opposite side of the road is free. The room is very spacious. The kitchen is very well equipped. Bed is very comfortable. Two of my kids live at Uilenstede so we could easily walk to them. I will definitely come back!

The hotel was clean, the only recommendation is to paint the walls. The aparthotel was displayed on their website was exactly what we experienced. Two bedroom and two bathrooms was big enough for three guest. Full kitchen was convenient and saved money for eating out. The hotel also offered breakfast at time of check in was offered a discount. Coffee and fresh pastries were available for a fee. Drinks, snacks and Alcohol beverages were also available. Car parking available for 15 euros however the safe recommended I could park for free on the street in front of the hotel without charge.

Clean towels were provided on demand. The staff was extremely helpful with showing us how to work the stove and oven. We had a dishwasher and washer and dryer on the premises. 3 nice size TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. The master bedroom had its on shower area.

This hotel is like a hidden little Gem!
Away from the centre with only a short 5 minute walk to the tram which is only 5 very quick stops to the local train. The train then takes you directly into the centre, again a very quick journey.
The hotel is very modern and worth every penny, it was like home from home. We stayed in a studio and it was really clean, the staff are really friendly and breakfast was lovely. Would highly recommend and I would stay there again 😊

The worst customer service. They are veryyyyy far from the center. They don’t clean sheets and towels for 8 days. They don’t have anyone helping with the luggage. Although they had the room ready, they didn’t let us check in a minute earlier than 3 pm. When asked for towels, they said come down and get it then only gave 1.
Don’t book this place. It’s not worth it.

The property was so clean. In fact it was spotless. Only downside was that there were no cleaners if you have a short stay. Can use cooker, dishwasher, cutlery, microwave etc. Helps to save money on buying food. Breakfast isn’t all that. But the room itself is cosy/comfy and the staff are so friendly and always available to help. 30mins from the aparthotel to the city centre and about 15 mins by cab. 10 min wall to Albert Heijn (local supermarket). I enjoyed my stay and recommend it especially if you are with your partner 10/10.

Having stayed in a number of aparthotels in Amsterdam, this was by far the most comfortable. The space was generous, the staff were most helpful, and the area is perfect if you're after a quiet stay. I would highly recommend staying here. Getting into Amsterdam city centre is easy, with the tram around the corner. Plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby.

One of the best rooms I have ever stayed in. We really love it. The size, the cleanliness, the facilities, lightning etc are just too good! Except for the location, which I don't think is a big problem, given that it is few hundred metres away from the nearest Uilenstede Tram Station.

Excellent stay - highly recommended

We recently stayed in the Adagio recently and highly recommend this place! The apartment was fully equipped and very spacious. Really nice lounge area to relax in after a busy day sightseeing, it really felt like ‘home from home’. The staff were helpful and pleasant - and sold essentials at the reception area. There is also a grocery shop located in the college campus nearby. The property is about a half hour from the city centre via public transport, which is very reliable. I would absolutely stay here again - our stay was reasonably priced in comparison to the very high cost of hotels etc in the city centre.
