The staff was very friendly. The room was okay, until the cushion moved on the pull out couch and I saw a used crack pipe. It was tucked on top of the mattress near the springs. A lot of food crumbs on top of the folded mattress. I was happy we didn’t need the extra bed. I told the lady at the front desk and sent her the photos. I waited over a month for sometime to connect with me about the issue, no one ever reached out.

I was asked to pay $29 for a “ continental” breakfast for 2. Thinking it was going to be a great breakfast…. When I went to get breakfast, the breakfast sandwiches were the size of silver dollars, nothing fresh. Cups of cereal. When I asked the front desk how it worked, since I paid, they said I was allowed 2 items and a tea or coffee… I took a juice. I did make a bagel, but my pooch enjoyed it more than I did. Husband didn’t even eat anything because he was so disappointed. He only had a juice. Place was great, just not the breakfast.

When we came down to talk about it with Trey... another aasociate... he assisted us. He helpd us with the balcony room. She camr back and seen us there and asked Trey what happened. He said they were not put in a balcony and she said oh.... no apolgies.

Booked this months ago for an anniversary trip with the impression or hot tub working, when we checked in we were advised it had been broken for over a month. We let it go. The bedsheets were dirty, the pool did not look clean it looked greasy and there was scum around it. the Jacuzzi was brocken and there was nothing that said it on the website. the breakfast is not actually breakfast. It was not worth it at all. the rooms look nothing like the website at all. Save your money and go to the marriott in newport instead i regret choosing this one.

Sherri at the front desk was a welcoming and knowledgeable hostesss. She was friendly, helpful, and kind. The facility was decent though undertsaffed for housekeeping. The hot tub was broken and closed. The morning \"breakfast\" offerings were very slim. A muffin and coffee or theblike for $16 for 2 people for 2 days. Starbucks is in thw building and opens later

The staff was awesome! Friendly, warm, and helpful. No matter who was on the desk, they were happy to see everyone as they walked through the door. The room was clean and neat, but I think the bathroom could use a refresh. There were stains on the wallpaper behind the toilet and rust around the tub stopper. Just signs of age, but compared to how nice the rest of the room and the hotel itself were, those things stuck out like sore thumbs.

Hotel and staff were excellent. The suite was clean and comfy. One star taken off as the hot tub was not functional and the pool area was too cold to go in the (heated) pool. Had the hot tub been working, the pool are would have been great,but with no way to take the chill of swimming off, it just wasn’t usable.

The front desk staff was incredibly rude to us. We were waiting in line for 20 minutes when there was only one person in front of us very unorganized.then got put in a room who already had someone booked in there, a huge safety concern already. when asking for a new room after we got double booked I got told I would either be put in a new hotel or that I had to wait with a crazy attitude as if any part of that was my fault. There was no apology if anything she was trying to argue with me. after getting that sorted in the morning, the cleaning staff knocked on her door 30 minutes before our checkout trying to clean our room when it was not our time to leave. also had to kill two spiders.

The property was fine. The room was fine. The big issue that we had with our stay is that the people staying in the room directly next to us was having a big party with multiple people in there, and it eventually broke out into arguments in fights, recalled 3 times throughout the night and did not get any sleep. I know that a fight is not in control of the staff but I feel with the severity of what situation was and us calling multiple times throughout the night in early morning that we should have been accommodated for our stay because it really made it unpleasant

It started off on the wrong foot but Hotel.com helped and things went smoother. In addition, Cindy at the hotel, dreadlocks guy, and Brenda made my stay above my expectations after it started on the wrong foot.

Brenda housekeeper kept everything in order, dreadlocks guy excellent customer service and Cindy kept me from losing my mind … I needed her calm friendly persona to get back on the right track.

When I arrived I was told that someone had already checked in under my name and credit card. I was told the manager would be back soon. I had to wait 25 minutes for the manager to arrive. She said it was alright she would reverse the check in and checked me in. I later found my credit card was charged 2 hours before my arrival. I received no apology or compensation for their error and the stress and inconvenience this caused me.

Our room had virtually no disturbing noise what so ever. We were able to relax, sleep watch TV ect. The pool and the Jacuzzi were amazing!!! We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Sonester Select. The rooms are spacious and as \"clean as a whistle\". The property was easy to access and they reserved a nice, quiet room for us as we requested near the pool. Very appreciated. Because door to outside pool is still open pool was too cold to swim in. Hot tub was great, though. Neither outside fire pit or indoor fireplaces were on. Disappointing. Would have added some ambiance. Beds pretty hard. Shower had small draining issue. Overall ok. Room was booked for 4 adults. We checked in and there were only 2 sets of towels. Called for more and finally went to the desk to get some. Requested clean towels for the next day and again we had to ask for the correct number before we could Shower to go to a wedding. Very inconvenient.

I reserved a room with a king bed and a double sofa bed. When it was time to use the sofa bed it was the size of a twin. The employee working at the time swore all the sofa beds were double and that she had worked there for years. But after showing her the picture of the bed, she said “oh well, I guess they are not all double”. Later on she said that her co-worker said that their hotel calls a twin bed a double. When I tried to ask for a manager, nobody was available.

The location is convenient, the pool was nice. The room size was ok, the refrigerator was missing all the shelves. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on, I debated going to sleep in my car, I was so uncomfortable. The toilet didn't flush and I had to keep the top of the tank off to mess with the chain the entire stay. I am in the area often I stayed here when they 1st opened they went down hill in a hurry, very disappointing.

Beautiful spot, great for what you're paying for! The staff are incredibly kind and quick to help. Checking in and out was a super smooth and easy process. The beds were quite comfortable, and we found everything to our liking. Our room had a slightly musty smell, so we opened the door to air it out a bit. Otherwise it was 100% lovely all around. Many thanks to the staff for such an enjoyable stay!!!

This was our second stay at the Sonesta. I think we were too exhausted from the trip the first time around to notice the obvious flaws that became apparent this second time around. The staff are always friendly which is a plus, but the rooms are kind of run down and musty as are the bathrooms. Rug in our room felt damp. No ventilation in the bathroom, rust stains in the shower. If you’re going to charge over $400 a night- you need to up your game a bit.

Average hotel stay, honestly wouldn’t come back. Upon check-in it seemed that we were disturbing the staff member from scrolling on his phone. He didn’t crack a smile, didn’t make us feel welcome to the hotel and when we asked for the free rollaway bed for our room that was specified in the reservation he said it wasn’t possible because it was a fire hazard so we had to sleep five people between two queen beds. Not one attempt was made to change rooms to accommodate us, even though he said other rooms were available, it would be a significant up charge. The area around hotel was decent enough, very close to Newport and good options for dining outside of Newport.

The property was very clean. Loved the indoor, outdoor pool. Pool also very clean. Hot tub was great, very nice and warm. Had penty of seating outside.
Bed and pillows slightly uncomfortable.
Didnt have a restaurant to buy any food. Had to go in my car and fine somewhere for at least a sandwitch.
But over all very nice hotel.
