This used to be a very nice hotel, the room TV was not working, there is no maintenance overnight so they moved to a new room, in the new room there was no towels, when i open the curtains there were stains of what looked like blood, maybe food or sauce, no hand soap in the bathroom, also some of the towels looked very old like the ones you find in a cheap 40 dolar a night motel, not a 200 dolar a nigh hotel

No soap in the shower, after cleaned there wasn’t any soap again (pump jugs empty).
Bed had a rut in it from
So many people sleeping in same
Spot. And to top it off I brought a guest for a few drinks and the nigh time girl working charged me $4000 peso just to bring a guest. I’ve stayed here for 20
Years, was great before but it’s been going down hill and this was the final straw. I won’t stay here again, responsibly when their are so many good hotels around in this area of San Pedro.

Our experience at La Quinta Real was very disappointing. The room we were assigned was in poor condition: the towels were old, the furniture was worn out, and the carpet was dirty and stained. I had to call three times before someone finally came to clean. It’s truly a shame to see such a beautiful hotel being neglected in this way—it’s no longer what it used to be.

Out of the four nights we had booked, we ended up canceling and moving to another hotel. I mentioned all of this to the front desk agent at checkout, who said he would inform the manager immediately. We went to have breakfast and later returned to ask if the manager had checked the room, but the agent only said he was “in the process.” We then sat in the lobby for a while waiting for our transportation, yet the manager never appeared to introduce himself or address us.

I made it clear to the staff that I would share my experience publicly if no one followed up with us—and since no one did, here I am sharing my review. Sadly, La Quinta Real has lost the charm and quality it once had.

Very nice property, with attentive staff and an excellent location. However, the property would benefit from improved maintenance. I have stayed here in the past and can notice a decline in upkeep.

There was no minibar in my room, and we had to request one because there are not enough available for all rooms. The thermostat in the room needs an upgrade, and the bathroom could use a renovation.

With these improvements, this could be the best property in town.

I got the Clase King room. Linens smelled like vomit. I ordered puree de potato for my 1 year old daughter and it had big chunks of potatoes. She spit them out. The floor was very dirty . I told the manager and they changed the sheets but only upon request.My daughter and wife both got big bites and maid didn't bother to throw our garbage in the room or restroom over the weekend. The building is classic and nice but the personnel needs a good revamp

This used to be one of the best, if not the best hotel in Monterrey. It is outdated, needs a lot of maintenance, and worn off. The first 2 days no hot water for showering, the illuminated mirror was not working and we asked for a new one, never changed. The first day our room was not cleaned or serviced. When asking for more towels, it took a lot of time, and only brought us two (we were 3), telling us for the moment they have not enough towels. No one helped with the luggage when we arrived and you have to go down some stairs to get to the elevator, so people with disabilities would have trouble. The water pool was cold. They told us the water heater was not working. I have stayed here many years ago, and nothing compared to this unpleasant surprise for a “five star hotel”. The property feels with abandonment, short of staff, and even the staff seemed unhappy doing its job. Although the location is 5 stars, there are a lot of other upscale hotels in the surrounding area, less expensive and newer. Next time in Monterrey I won’t stay here again.

El personal muy atentos, muy amables, las housekeepers muy bien, hacian el cambio de sabanas diariamente y todo limpio en los baños, pero las condiciones del hotel dejan mucho que desear, le falta mucho mantenimiento, las alfombras de los pasillos y los cuartos olian a drenaje ademas de que estan demasiado sucias, se percibe mucha humedad en todo el hotel, y pues como digo ya adentro caminando por los pasillos huele mucho a caño. Por favor dueños o encargados de la quinta real, se necesita mucho mantenimiento, cambien las alfombras por alfombras nuevas, esas que tienen aunque las laven estan demasiadas percudidas y en muy malas condiciones.

Just because its next to a Safi doesn't make it a Safi… save yourself the time and go somewhere else the floors smell good coming in and the bar is nice but as soon as you take the elevator up its smells like mold and dampness.. this is the worse hotel i have ever stayed at there were diapers under the beds and toe nail clippings already the night stand, also the bed sheets were stained with multiple colors of red and brown literally gave us an itch, we didnt even ask for a refund and just left to look for another hotel to shower with how bad this place was. NEVER AGAIN! After just coming out of surgery i felt i was going to get an infection with how dirty it was. Also there were diapers underneath our bed..

La hab 418 y 411 no sirve el aire acondicionado, hablamos a recepción y mandaron al técnico, en la hab 418 el refri esta roto y no sirve, las condiciones del lo by y restaurante son excelentes, pero la vdd por lo que pagamos por las dos habitaciones por 3 noches se codo corto en mis expectativas, no me quedaría de nuevo en este lugar.

The swimming pool and common areas were a bit careless. The prices for breakfast at the hotel were higher than at the surrounded restaurants.
The room and bedroom was very comfortable. The supplies (water, soap, shampoo and body lotion) at bedroom weren't replaced every day.

I’ve stayed at several Quinta Real locations and always had fantastic experiences, which made this visit to Quinta Real Monterrey all the more disappointing. This property is not living up to the brand’s reputation.

The room I stayed in was outdated and felt worn out. The windows were dirty, and the shower had visible mildew—things you don’t expect from a hotel in this price range. It was clear the property hasn’t been properly maintained.

The bar was another letdown. Service was incredibly slow, the hours were inconsistent, and I often had to get up and find someone just to order a drink. The entire experience made it feel like a budget resort, not a supposed luxury hotel.

Quinta Real Monterrey has so much potential, but it desperately needs serious renovations and better management. Until they invest in bringing it back up to standard, I’ll be staying elsewhere.

I’ve always been a fan of Quinta Real properties—beautiful hotels with great service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, Quinta Real Monterrey was a huge disappointment and nowhere near the standard I’ve come to expect from this brand.

The rooms are extremely dated, with dirty windows that clearly haven’t been cleaned in a long time. The shower had mildew, and overall, the place just felt neglected. For a hotel with this history and reputation, it was really surprising to see how far it’s gone downhill.

Service at the bar was just as bad—slow, inconsistent hours, and I had to flag people down just to get a drink. It felt more like a cheap resort than a luxury property.

It’s a shame because this place could be great again, but it needs a major facelift and a renewed focus on service. Until then, there are much better options in Monterrey for the price. I won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Despues de visitar Monterrety varias veces y haber estado en diferentes hoteles. Decidi estar en el \"Mejor Hotel\", pero no fue asi, mis expectativas eran muchas.
Estos son los motivos:
- Habitacion asignada con mal olor (a viejo y mucho polvo).
- Pedi cambio de habitacion o upgrade, me cambiaron la habitacion pero no upgrade (con Expedia tengo derecho a upgrade).
- La habitacion asignada no cumplio con las expectativas:
1. Botella de shampo y acondicionador a la mitad y tiradas en la regadera.
2. Cabellos largos en la cama, debajo de las sabanas, lo cual me dice que no hubo cambio de sabanas entre huespedes.
3. No habia control remoto de la tele.
4. La caja fuerte no funcionaba.
5. La escala para tomar el peso no servia, creemos falta de pila.
6. Solo un par de pantuflas y una sola bata de bano cuando eramos 2 personas.
7. Papel de bano de baja calidad, me roso desde la primera vez.
8. En recepcion pregunte por el spa y no supieron donde estaba.
Visite por primera vez este hotel hace 10 anios y me parecio fabuloso, pero no esta vez.
No ha mantenido el nivel requerido para el precio de la habitacion.
Sequire buscando al mejor Holet de Monterrey.

The building out side and front is great! The personnel and service is terrible. On the past this Hotel use to be a great place, now is totally the opposite. They treat you as they are doing you a favor. Bad faces staring from the front desk, rooms smell bad, mold on walls and ceiling. Stains on the bed cover. This will be the last time that I’m stay here. Paying to much for all the bad things and bad service that the hotel offers. Is a shame this beautiful Hotel end like this…

The hotel is gorgeous. You feel like you're in a hacienda even though it's among modern buildings.The king room with a hot tub was perfect to relax in and rest. The location is across a shopping center with great restaurants. Monterrey is not a walkable city, so we used Uber a lot to get around and easy to access from the hotel.

I recently stayed at Quinta Real with my family for a night while traveling to the U.S. Unfortunately, the overall service quality has noticeably declined, particularly in areas of cordiality and attention to detail.

For instance, my wife requested honey to be brought to our room, and the room service staff responded dismissively, saying, “It’s not like we give away honey for free.” She ended up having to go to the restaurant herself to get some. Additionally, I asked for a blue pen at the lobby, and they not only didn’t have one but also made no effort to find one.

These seemingly minor details significantly impact the guest experience.

On a positive note, Oracio from the Bell Boy team provided outstanding service, and the restaurant offered an excellent dining experience, complete with live piano music and great ambiance.

Having been a regular at Quinta Real for the past few years, I was surprised and disappointed to see that the excellence in service that I once admired is starting to slip.

I did not like the fact that Quinta Real overcharge by using an arbitrary exchange rate and making credit card charge in Mexican Pesos. It is abusive and arbitrary. It spoiled my stay for feeling being robbed.
