Our stay was absolutely perfect! The room was spotless and comfortable even better than the description and pictures. We both had a blast going to the tulum ruins and having a light breakfast everyday by the ocean. Staff was super nice and accommodating. Hands down one of my favorite trips ever thanks to Villa pescadores.

The facilities are in disrepair. Roofs leak, water works intermittently, bathroom sink is two rusty metal pipes with control levers pipe shut offs found in Home Depot, shower is an annex next to sink divided with curtain and a shower head pipe sticking out of ceiling with intermittent pressure and shifting temps. water controls are also rusty pipes with Home Depot style pipe shut offs.bathroom door doesn’t shut and the lock is busted, wait staff is HUSTLES!!! They work super hard from 7:30am - 9:30 pm in hot sun and sand and they are UNDERSTAFFED and the kitchen is SLOW. Almost all orders always take an average of an hour. Especially lunch and dinner. Breakfast can sometimes come out 10-15 minutes. Website said they were closed all summer for remodels. It looked as though 6/8 out of the 22 unites were updated. The rest of the places are in NEED of repair. Pictures on site do not reflect the 75% of property that charges $500-$700/night (peak season rates). If the rates were about $150/night it the I’d give this place a 3.5 stars. Also all taxi rides into town run a minimum starting price of $20/pp for round trip. Transport from airport to hotel is Seattle prices = $400 round trip

well I did not stay at Villa Pescadores at the last minute we were switched to AHUA hotel in tulum a sister resort. It was very charming with a great vibe and excellent service . small bungalows on the beach., oceanfront patio, we’re really nice . the beach was closed because if seaweed ! pool
is very small but ok. The food was ok. but pricey. my two meals were so salty that I couldn’t eat them , the menu is odd , like they’re trying to hard to be eclectic.need a new chef ! So i opted only for breakfast / no salt , we then ate elsewhere.
but service was amazing! Sergio our waiter was the best , he remembered our names our food our drinks ! 15-17$ drinks !!! ! I was refunded a night because rain came in our room and under the slider flooding the floor. good thing it was our last night there.
nice zen atmosphere but hotels to the left and right played LOUD banging music until 4 am on fri/ sat nights it was heard from our beds!!

Unique Experience. Beautiful grounds your Villa steps out to the stand then steps to the beach. This is a fisherman’s dream, fishing boats are lined up in the beach water to go out for a fee. Villas could use an update. Be warned the AC is off during the day!! The staff are all polite and accommodating

It’s a very safe place to stay, laid back, quiet and earth friendly. Close to Mayan Ruins inside Parque Del Jaguar. The only disadvantage is you have to buy a wristband to come in the Parque everyday. How I wish they have a wristband for Hotel guest for the duration of their stay instead of making the guest pay every day.

Nice property and what made it a really great stay was the staff! From the front desk, to the dining service everyone was efficient and friendly!

The rooms were comfortable and the only thing we would have liked better was a little more water pressure for the shower. The food at the hotel was delicious and my only suggestion would be not to dilute the juices - especially the passion juice at breakfast was super diluted. Takes away from the delicous flavor of the passion fruit juice.

Villa Pescadores was a wonderful quiet small village style resort. The restaurant was very nice and the included breakfast was certainly a bonus. I loved the palapa style of my room! The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The proximity to the Mayan ruins was an added benefit, as was the shuttle that came by the property every few minutes. If headed to Tulum again, I’d definitely plan to stay at Villa Pescadores again.

Very different than the “all inclusive, mega resort experience”. A very basic, simple, quiet atmosphere. ALL staff (especially Nicholas, Alberto, Javier, Wilberth) were wonderful and willing to help in any way. Accommodations were very basic, but clean with very comfortable bed. No TV which was fine and added to the “In the jungle, eco-conscious “ vibe. You are not allowed to bring in any plastic / glass/ cans (national park rules….the hotel is in the park) which prevents putting outside beer / wine etc in your fridge. The process of getting back into the park each time you leave is a royal pain and costs a few dollars every time (how much seems different all the time, pretty disorganized). The Tulum ruins are very walkable and are worth the visit. Beach and the water is beautiful. Another plus, you don’t have to get up at 7am to put your towel on a lounge chair on the beach. There were always chairs available. If you are ok with the very quiet, very basic, in the jungle experience, you will enjoy !
If you want spas, gyms, bars, nightlife this is not the place for you. We enjoyed the slow paced,
No frills, disconnect from the world experience.
(It would also be a big help if all of the hotels in the National Park got together and provided a shuttle into Tulum City. Getting there by taxi and even by car is not easy) There is a convenient shuttle that runs inside the park which is convenient for getting to the ruins or to the park entrance.

This is quite the gem in Tulum. We didn’t have an issue with the two free breakfast options, everyday the options were different. The prices seemed fair compared to the Zona hotelera. Tulum is pricey town altogether. Those of us who have visited know the deal. Victor was great explaining all the ins and outs of the area. I love the nice touch of having free coffee in the patio waiting for us each morning, and they even allow you to choose your time slot. The area is gorgeous! 10/10

Staying inside the Park is much more chill than the hotel zone or in town. Villa Pescadores is a wonderful gem . Beautiful beach front property with beach lounge chairs and restaurant. It was beautiful. My daughter loved the yoga. The accessibility to the beach is unparalleled. The attention to detail (aloe, bug spray). The staff - so friendly. Victor at the front desk was a sweetheart. The food was fairly priced.
The ONLY detriment was the food offered at dinner. Options were limited and not very good. They shine as a beach club. Excellent drinks. But, there are great options right next door for dinner.
Please note: it’s in a national park and you will have to buy a wristband every day ($4USD) and go through a checkpoint as you come and go. You cannot arrive with plastic (like snacks and water bottles) this is a massive PLUS in my opinion. Just be prepared.
As a note, I am a seasoned traveler and I recommend this place with all my heart - it was lovely.

This was such a unique experience. The staff was friendly and attentive. You stay in a lil villa feeling like u where statying in the jungle. The access to the beach was awesome as the waters were clear and you get to view the Tulum ruins from the beach. The breakfast included was pretty good and you get to eat breakfast overlooking the beautiful beach. Beds were comfy.

Not worth the price of the hotel. From the moment we got there, the lack of service/hospitality really bummed me out. Also the prices of everything was insane. It cost almost $30 USD to get a taxi into downtown Tulum ONE WAY. There’s a fee when you enter between the hours of 9am-5pm because of the nature reservation/park. There’s only 1 restaurant at the hotel and the food wasn’t that good. We were lucky enough to walk down the beach to find another restaurant a little cheaper and better quality. The owner really needs to invest in better quality food, more hospitable staff and maybe upgrades on the rooms.

The property is great. The room was beautiful. Bed was a bit soft for my liking so I didn’t get a good sleep. But everything else was perfect.
I do have mixed feelings about the fact that it is located inside the Tulum National Park, which is a government protected area. For one, it is kind of confusing to get there because google maps still shows the entrance on the north side (near the Mayan Ruins) but access is actually on the south side (where Parque del Jaguar is located). So I had to figure out that myself, no previous advise from the Hotel. Then you have to pay $60 MXN per person to enter and bracelets are only good for 1 day. So you have to pay this amount everyday if you are staying multiple nights. It’s crazy that you have to pay to access the property you already have a reservation and paid for. On the other hand, this also gives you a sense of safety, since the National Guard is securing the area and also helps to keep it quiet and clean. I do think the hotel should give you a heads up about this additional cost or have some kind of agreement where you can have complimentary bracelets as part of your reservation.

The property could use a bit of repair in a few areas due to all the rain we had. The roof leaks and the ceiling fan did not function well. I will say the staff is excellent!!!Jamie is always welcoming and makes you feel right at home. The property is located inside a state park which we were not told so we were required to cross a checkpoint every day and pay 60.37 pesos per person each time we entered. Since this is a state park there is military on the premises at all times, but also keep in mind that you can no longer bring plastic or glass bottles to the hotel with the rules that have been put in place which is an inconvenience

Beautiful location!! The staff is very environmentally conscious and it’s on a nature reserve. What that means for the guest is that you’ll have to pay an entry fee to the park every time you leave and come back. Perfect for a reasonable walk to the Tulum Mayan ruins or just hanging out on the coast. There are vendors that will take you snorkeling and to Cenotes. It’s very peaceful and relaxing stay and it’s right on the beach. The facility encourages no AC usage due the day, they can accommodate your personal needs, although since it’s on the windy beach I honestly didn’t need it. Be aware that you can’t bring plastic water bottles in to the park so they do provide water for you and there is glass bottles available at the restaurant. Breakfast is great and worth getting.

My husband and I had a wonderful 5-night stay at Villa Pescadores. Jamie and Alejandra were always eager to welcome and assist us with anything we needed. It was the perfect setting to relax, enjoy the beach, access the Tulum Ruins and treat yourself to a delicious meal during the day at the VP Beach Club.

We decided not to rent a car, so we used taxis to get to and from the town center. It was about a 20-min ride. At night, lighting along the road leading to the hotel is non-existent.

My husband went to the town center during the day to use a co-working space for better internet access. But, for me, who has absolutely no work to do, the wifi worked great.

Villa Pescadores also provided a very comfortable place to shower and rest after excursions. Thank you to management and workers for making our stay amazing!

We had such a lovely week long stay at Villa Pescadores. It feels like a little slice of paradise and our room was a small but great amount of space for two people. The food at the beach club is delicious and the receptions staff are so attentive and quick to respond to any sort of question we had. The only thing that would make this place above and beyond is if the pool were a little bigger, it is very small, but with the beach right there it really didn't bother us too much at all.

Villa Pescadores treated us so well! My boyfriend and I came here for a 5 day trip and they allowed us to check in early, had a welcome drink ready for us, and were so kind and so helpful. They regularly sent us excursions and things to do around the hotel! However, we stayed at the beach all day since it is only a short walk away. The restaurant at the hotel was really good and super convenient! The ceviche and aguaschile are a must!!!

Beautiful hotel directly on the beach within the natural park & 10 minute walk to the Mayan Ruins.
All individual wooden houses with a varanda, it’s so lovely how you walk straight out onto the sand & only a few steps from the beach. It is much quieter than the beach Zone & there are lovely restaurants at hotels along the beach front that you can walk to, Tulum town is a 15min drive but well worth going in as has a great vibe & some great restaurants. You are not able to bring plastic or glass bottles or cans into the national park as it’s a protected environment.

The staff were wonderful and helpful. The property is simple, but well kept and beautiful, with a quiet and serene location on the beach, steps from Playa Pescadores. If you’re tired of the beach, hang out at the pool for quiet afternoon under the shade of palm trees. The restaurant was solid, with simply prepared staple dishes aimed a a little something for everyone. The room has ample amenities, with a serviceable shower and bathroom. Bed is comfortable.

If you’re looking for a relaxed and enjoyable beach vacation, this place will suit you well. They will take good care of you.

Great stay!

I'm so glad that I stayed at Villa Pescadores. My bed was so comfortable and the casita was very clean. I loved being right on the beach and being able to sit and listen to the waves at night in peace and quiet and nearly have the beach to myself in the morning. During the day it was really nice to have the shaded beach lounger. The beach is so gorgeous - warm water, gorgeous color, noce breeze. It's so quiet at night and you have a great little deck to sit out on and every casita has a hammock.

A few things to note: getting a taxi to pick you up at the hotel is possible, but it will be pricier than normal. Bikes would be a good way to get around and they have some on site. Some tours wont pick you up at the hotel as it can be difficult to get into the park since there's a single entrance that can have a lot of traffic.

You can only use AC from 6 pm to 9 am. The casita stays very cool during the day since it's shaded.

You have to throw your toilet paper into the garbage, not flush it.

It was worth it! I'd stay here again, for sure.

My husband and I had a short stay at Villa Pescadores and we loved everything about our stay. The hotel is right on the beach. Our room was very clean. The entire staff was welcoming. Alberto and Araceli were very attentive to our needs. Alberto recommended a fishing trip and it was one of the highlights of the trip. The hotel chef was able to cook the fish we caught and it tasted delicious. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful eco-friendly beachfront property, which is located within the national park of the Tulum ruins. It’s very serene and relaxing. Jaime and her staff are wonderful, friendly, attentive, and we’re very helpful in accommodating our needs, including renting an ATV. Jaimie is absolute gem and one of the reasons we rate this memorable stay high. the only downside of the hotel being a within the national park, there is only one bidirectional road to and from the property to the main beach area and town where all the restaurants and activities are and there is a lot of traffic due to cars trying to go to the ruins and beaches. Additionally, you have to pay a daily park entrance fee per person of $60 MXN regardless of entering by car, ATV, bicycle. The hotel reimburses you the first day of the entrance fee. Overall, we would return again.

This property has the perfect mix of rustic, quiet and tropical Carribean setting. The staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. My sister and I brought my mother here for her 80th birthday. We were able to adventure some with snorkeling right at the resort and good recommendations for a monkey sanctuary tour. We were also able to enjoy quiet, slow times with sipping coffee on our front porch, delivered every moring by the staff. Overall, the only thing that I can suggest that the resort imrpves, is to to have an enclosed area for dining, ifncase the weather is inclimate. We had a day or two of blowing wind, and it was unpleasant to eat while the sand blew into our food and faces!

So disappointing that we left early with no refund.

The location is beautiful (it’s a beach on the Caribbean Sea, of course it is) however that was honestly it.

Their approach of being eco-friendly is to be commended however it is compounding to your experience (a good experience and being eco-friendly are not mutually exclusive). The hut on the beach looks cool however it is disfunctional. You cannot have your AC on from 9am to 6pm which is crazy in this heat (the office is always chilled however…) and when it is on, it’s very weak. There are also gaps in the hut roof plus the two sliding doors have a permanent gap down the middle when closed so you cannot maintain a consistent colder temperature in the hut. This means you have to pump AC at its coldest consistently which is counter-productive to the “eco-friendly” approach.

The power went out one night and it was roasting in the hut with 0 air flow as the only windows are two tiny bathroom windows unless you want to leave your doors open… not much you can do as an accommodation but these are things you have to consider as a visitor here as they do not have access to the regions main electric supply, there is an on-site generator which is subject to instances like this.

The staff were nice. I can’t say I had the experience that a lot of other people did in the reviews of outstanding service that made the trip magical though (and we tipped a lot - my wife is in the service industry, it is a must).

Overall, Villa Pescadores has friendly staff and they do their best to help you throughout your stay with any questions or services you need. The resort is small but enjoyable on a beautiful, sunny day. And the views are great.
I have to say though, the accessibility of the location of Villa Pescadores is less than ideal. It is located inside a national park that you have to pay to access during the day and there is a lot of construction throughout the park which made getting around tough some days. It is also located quite far from the town of Tulum and the rest of the hotel zone which requires transportation to access other area. In regards to transportation- there are pedal bikes available for rental through VP but on a hot day, it is very hard to use them and it is a far commute. They also offer AVT/Moped rentals through a 3rd party company which was great for getting around but can be pricey. The taxis in Tulum are not worth it as they are very expensive. This is information we wish we had been provided before we arrived at VP.
The beach club restaurant also closed at 5pm everyday which made eating at the hotel very difficult.
If it is raining, you are also very limited for options for dining and things to do close to VP.
There was one instance with a server at the attached beach club that put quite a sour taste into mine and my husbands stay at VP so be insistent on making sure you speak to someone without a language barrier.

Road in construction, and if you leave property and tried to come back before 6pm they will charge you to go back in the hotel will reimburse you for but however is inconvenience bc you will need to pay with Mexican pesos cash no other option. The beach is dirty and the mosquito will are you.

The amenities here are fabulous! The customer service is impeccable! Jaime and Ale are awesome! You truly feel like you are in paradise here! The downfall is the construction surrounding this area. It is ridiculous and an inconvenience! You also have to pay to access the only road allowing entrance to the facilities. Despite it, I would definitely stay here again now that I know how to navigate the area and construction.

The hotel was beautiful and it felt like an oasis. The rooms were very nice and the staff was super friendly and prompt. I loved that we had our own villa and front porch and maca! The only downside is the AC isn’t very strong and it turned off during the day which really sucked if we were inside.

The nicest and prettiest oasis

Jamie and Alejandra went above and beyond for our group of friends. We stayed in two villas. Both were VERY clean and cute! The pictures do not donut justice. They somehow were available 5 seconds wishin contacting them for room service, recommendations and or feedback.

The entire place is very clean and the staff are all so diligent , friendly and honest. We were even corrected a few times regarding tips because we accidentally were double tipping and the staff didn’t want us to miss that.

They also found us price conscious taxis and tours when our itinerary was thrown off because the ruins were closed. The people they called were sooo respectful and nice.

Bonus - there was two sweet and calm dogs that live there. They roamed the place just lounging and adding more charm to the place. They did not bark once and were just there watching the staff and kept their distance. We approached and said hi but they were too cool for us and just slept and stretched.

I had an amazing time. The staff go above and beyond and I’m not exaggerating. If I said I need this or that then I had someone behind me giving it to me. I truly felt like a princess but in a more natural environment and not a resort that basically is the same as one in my own country. I wanted that outdoor feeling with only a few steps to the beach and walking distance to the Mayan ruins. That’s exactly what I got!!! The only thing I would do differently is venture out more for food etc bc it can get pricey at the hotel. The staff was helpful it was the people I was with so they had no control of my situation. Anyway the other thing that bothered me was the mattress it was a little uncomfortable from what I’m use to and running around so I woke up sore. That’s literally the only complaint I have bc the place is amazing and beautiful so I definitely go back!!!! Shout out to stephan, Alex, Emin, and Alejandra plus so many more but can’t remember everyone’s name. My favorite staff hands down tho was Jamie and Jose!!! I feel like I miss them already……
I know from the experience I had I would go back and probably have more fun because I know now what to do and what not to do…..

Magical, tranquil, exceptional, beautiful - all these describe the special place that is Villa Pescadores. Situated in the peaceful National Park, close to the remarkable Mayan ruins of Tulum and only a ten minute’s drive to town, you may still never wish to leave your lovely veranda. We were greeted so warmly by the considerate staff who went out of their way to make our stay memorable and comfortable. We ate many times at the wonderful restaurant, lit by candles under the palm trees at night with our feet in the sand. We can’t wait to return!

This was my third time at the Villa Pescadores Tulam. I loved the villa. It was kept very clean and was super comfortable. Note that air conditioning is only turned on between 9 AM and 6 PM. Getting ready to go out at night required an extra hairdryer to dry off! I love this place, but felt that the beach staff was iffy. More often than not, I had to walk to the kiosk to order my food. I would’ve preferred to have someone come to me. They had lovely dinner by candlelight a few nights. The food was good, but not great. But overall it is the best place to go if you just want to chill out and get sun in a relaxing environment that is right on the beach and is not a high-rise.

Private, separate house is great. The only downside is the beach is extremely busy with boat excursions to the reef to snorkel. At least 20 boats constantly coming and going bringing people from the ruins to do a \"snorkel trip\".

My girlfriend and I stayed at Villa Pescadores for 5 days and it was truly a wonderful experience. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the “party” areas of the Tulum beaches, we had a beautiful and relaxing stay here are this lovely hotel. The staff was incredible and the food was some of the best I’ve had in Mexico. We make it a point to try to eat all over at the places we travel to but we kept eating at the hotel since their food was sooooo good. The beach access was perfect and we were a 15 min walk to the ruins. Perfect stay. I love it here.

So our bungalow was on the smaller side and you are not supposed to flush used toilet paper (because of the eco side of things) that being said they do have room service come by daily to empty the basket of used toiletries and do other room service stuff. Also they have specific body was/shampoo/conditioner that didn't leave me feeling the cleanest (again because of the eco side).

Other than that the place is wonderful. Rent a scooter not a bike or taxi. Bikes you will die going anywhere and taxis you will have paid for a day of scooter after 1 trip.

The food at the Pescadores was good (def the savory pancakes 10/10 and the steak dinner 10/10) but really rent a scooter and head into town (10min~ worth it).

My wife and I just returned from 5 fabulous days at Villa Pescadores Tulum. It is a true oasis inside a national park and set right on a gorgeous, clean beach -- a serene, intimate, romantic, secure, and supremely relaxing environment where you can leave your shoes and worries at the door. The management is top notch--very organized and promptly responsive (they communicate via WhatsApp) and every single staff member treats you like royalty. Many thanks to Alejandra, who was particularly warm and helpful, along with Ricardo and Quique -- all of whom were genuinely interested in making sure our needs were met while making us feel like part of their family. The food is very good and the chef takes a personal interest in making sure you enjoy his creations. We became addicted to their green smoothies. Imagine delicious avocado toast with homemade bread, poached eggs and fresh coffee on your private balcony (room service is free of charge), while being serenaded by tropical birds. (Our deluxe garden view room (#8) was an upstairs unit set in the tree tops -- a perfect choice). We especially loved taking long moonlit walks on the beach, which felt very safe! The ruins are a close walk and fascinating to see (go early to beat the tour buses); we also loved the tour of Muyil and Sian Ka'an. Villa Pescadores was everything we hoped it would be--5 stars all around. We can't say enough good things about this place and look forward to returning!

-This was the best service we have experienced at a hotel in many years, including in 5 star hotels. The reception staff were very attentive and quick to respond (we could ask them for anything via whatsapp messages). The free room service was a really nice touch and very valued. They came to meet us at our car when we arrived and helped us with our bags and gave us a welcome drink - a wonderful way to arrive, very relaxing. They were very warm and welcoming. Bringing free tea/coffee to the room each morning was lovely.
-Cleaning service was good - room very clean.
-We stayed in the cheapest room but it was very comfortable and had great amenities. A very large, super comfortable bed, nice bedding, a large ceramic container of drinking water with a tap attached, bath robes, mosquito nets on all doors and windows, a mini fridge, air con that functioned well, powerful shower, and a large range of eco friendly toiletries including bug spray (you need a LOT of bug spray in Tulum). A hammock in front and trays of water to clean your feet before coming in. Everything was thought of. This felt like a 5 star hotel.
-The location on the beach was lovely, and the beach club was nice. It is away from the posher hotel zone area with the fancier beach clubs but this beach is the best location for the snorkling which is easy to do at any time. Quiet at night.
-Free parking on site
-Only thing that was not so impressive was the food - it is pricy, burrito had almost no meat

I lived in Tulum for 3 months last year, so I know the area pretty well. This time I've decided to book a quieter place closer to the ruins (to the left of the main road), as other places can get really loud.

I was very much pleased with my stay. The hotel is pretty small and not overcrowded; my room was spacious and clean, with daily housekeeping and all the necessities in the room that you need.

I can't say enough about the staff; they went above and beyond during my stay. Everyone was very welcoming and accommodating to all requests I had. The hotel management and the waiters are very nice, and my thank you goes to everyone, especially to Russel :)

The location itself is very quiet and relaxing, and the beach area is also nice, with enough space both for guests and for visitors from outside of the hotel. The food was really good, and I loved the complimentary morning coffee on the terrace very much.

Would definitely stay here again.

I’m so glad I chose this hotel. My two requirements were safety and quietness. As a solo traveler, I always felt absolutely safe. They have a lot of security monitoring the property 24/7. Also, it’s located on the north end of the beach, away from the loud parties. But if you feel like going to a beach club, they have one with a great playlist and amazing cocktails. And most importantly you can’t hear the music in the room.
Hotel managers/front desk agents housekeeping, servers, bartenders, security, and beach club staff were all professional and friendly.
The beach was very clean without any sargassum seaweed. You can also easily walk to Tulum Archeological Zone (15 min), Starbucks, and 7eleven (20 minutes). And if you want to go to Centro you can easily get a taxi nearby the hotel or rent a bicycle.

Great little boutique hotel located on what once was of the most beautiful beaches in the riviera maya. Seaweed has overtaken most of the area for the last few years. We would definitely stay at this hotel again, great service and personal attention.
