My stay was wonderful! The staff were WONDERFUL and extremely professional. Perfect location inside the Tulum National Park. I traveled there solo for some RnR and felt very safe in the park. I went on regular walks by myself throughout the day. The hotel itself is VERY quiet and beautiful scenery. I ate all my meals at the hotel. Food is AMAZING! I’m a food snob so that means a lot coming from me. Beaches were in walking distance. Snorkeling was just a 15 min walk away. The room itself was clean and the property well kept. If you want to see the Mayan Ruins, it’s a 40 min walk (can also bike or use the shuttle) and keep in mind the Ruins close at 3:30. My only recommendation is to somehow soundproof the spa area. The ladies in the spa were wonderful. However I could hear when another guest came in to inquire about the spa, I heard when a car drove by, but I also heard birds chirping which I did like. Other than that, it was a great experience.

My only problem was that we did not get the room we paid $800+ extra (about double the standard rate) to get for our honeymoon. Staff tried to make it right but I’m disappointed and feel misled.

However everything else was a 5 star experience. The resort is gorgeous, loved the location l, and the staff was friendly - especially the restaurant staff. Speaking of the restaurant l, the food was insanely delicious. I would highly recommend Mi Amor. Just be aware you might not get the room you paid for by looking at photos.

This hotel was very clean and the staff was amazing. The food was delicious, the chef knows what they are doing back there. The food was actually the best at the hotel compared to other boutique restaurants we visited.

If you plan on going to the more lively side of Tulum, it’s about a 10 min taxi ride and that adds up daily. It’s best you get a scooter or ATV but that’s no fun at night with mosquitoes hitting you in the face lol. So a small rental would be ideal but there is limited to no parking. So just keep that in mind. You could walk but I wouldn’t chance it in the evening as the roads are narrow and a 25 - 30 min walk both ways can get tiring.

There isn’t a hotel shuttle but they say they can arrange transportation. Best bet is arranging your own taxis/shuttles to keep cost low.

Beautiful Property beautiful location, wonderful staff. We stayed in one of their most expensive and beautiful rooms, but without being said our spa never worked correctly throughout the entire week we were there. They apologized and had technicians repeatedly but instead of just replacing equipment they just fiddled with it. The spa was a highlight and a reason that we picked that particular unit.

After a conference in Cancun on a busy and noise Resort we really need a place to relax and enjoy ourselves. Mi Amor was PERFECT. Great location, safe, quiet and clean. Note, the Hotel is inside of Jaguar Park, giving you a beautiful preserve nature as backyard. The property is gorgeous, amazing views. You don't have access to the beach from the hotel but is just 5 minutes' walk to get beach entrance and you will have also all kind the other nice restaurants to enjoy you beach day.
The food is delicious, my favorite was Shrimp Taco. the drinks are very good too. The rooms are very specious, comfortable and private. What makes this place even more special is the service, THEY are amazing, from the front desk with very knowledge girls always ready to help, restaurant very friendly and they will call you by name on second day, room service is 2 minutes: believe-me, they will be there before you get the door, and THE housekeeping: they are absolutely amazing, they clean your room twice a day, with fresh towels, organize all your stuff, and when you are out for dinner they come to open your bed and leave a lovely tray with delicious tea and chocolate.
we had a lovely stay, perfect for our needs, relax and add a little romance on our life.
if you like to enjoy Tulum, you will have a cab there in 5 minutes, I also recommend having a dinner in town at KARMA, ask for a \"nest\" table. Great experience and awesome food.
For sure I will recommend MI AMOR Hotel to my family and friends.

This is a peaceful, small hotel that is great for a romantic getaway where you don’t leave the hotel very much (if at all). But it is quite far away from anything else, and they don’t really let you know this in advance. Getting a taxi or renting a bike is logistically difficult. A new system of payment for entering the park is annoying and creates quite a bit of traffic. Also, while the hotel is charming, it needs quite a bit of repair, which other reviews have touched on. I do have to appreciate the incredible staff, who went out of their way to help me when I got a brief scrape on the rocks.

My wife and I had a wonderful three night retreat here. We were looking for somewhere quiet, where we could sit by the ocean and read and chill. This was perfect. The service was great and everything on the menu was delicious. We walked to the Mezzanine for Thai food one night, which was great! One day we took a taxi ($550 MX) to the strip and had tacos at La Zebra (also great).

Love the new Tulum International Airport. We had a direct flight from Dallas. The transportation from the airport to the hotel was pricey, but it was good service. If you’re thinking about renting a car, there is no parking in the national park where Mi Amor is located. You have to go through an inspection point every time you enter the park. It feels very safe.

The location is on a rocky shoreline. If you’re looking for a location on sandy beaches, you should check out Lula or La Zebra. Lula is a yoga and wellness hotel so it’s more chill than La Zebra. Both have great beaches and are kid friendly. Also, they’re not in the national park but on the strip so you have more restaurants, stores, and activities available. We prefer the quiet, private, adults only experience of Mi Amor.

We’re definitely going back.

Top notch hotel in all dimensions. Beautiful facility, impeccable service, fab restaurant. Location has great ocean view but no beach. There’s one within walking distance. Getting into the Tulum park is a bit of a pain. Big plus: two sister facilities offer free access to their beach clubs and come with free drinks.

The place is very tidy and clean , it is beginning to look a bit dated in certain areas. Staff attentive and it is very relaxing and intimate. Note this looks over a rocky coastline not a beach. The romantic dinner in one of the cabins overlooking the sea was really quite a different experience. The food was excellent and the romantic dinner has a story with it. Cannot tell you more or would spoil it. Access is via the national park and new roads are being put in to it. For us the only access was from the south side not the main national park entrance but this will change I assume once the road works are completed. It is a very quiet out of the way place, good to get around by bicycle. Car park is just 50m up the road

I reached out to concierge prior to arrival to see if accommodations can be made to make my husband feel celebrated for his birthday trip. They decorated the room with happy birthday balloons; it was honestly the best gesture I have ever experienced in all my travels. They went above and beyond when they didn't have to. Every concierge I encountered was helpful with anything we needed during our stay. We rented bicycles to get around town. Valet was always helpful in making sure we got our bicycles when we needed them. For those looking for a fun way to get around town, I highly recommend renting a bicycle. Turndown service with night time herbal tea was the perfect ending to the day. Restaurant had excellent ceviche as well.

Privacy Invaded!!!!!

Only returned from previous great experiences. This time - the total opposite! On the 1st day hours after check-in the housekeeper casually walks in the room like she going in her house without knocking or announcing herself while I’m completely undressed. Stood there with a look of surprise that someone was in the room. The answer from manager did not help as to why did the housekeeper went in the room in the first place (we did not request any in-room service and all settled/situated), her answer, “housekeeping do not want to disturb guest”. I did accept the massage at the spa that was offered by manager hoping that may help. However So glad I did book any service in my past stays - definitely not worth the price. Will not ever recommend this place as I have in the past.

Really beautiful hotel. Everything is really cute & aesthetic and the food at the restaurant was delicious. However this hotel is located within the national park zone and the Mexican police gave us a lot of issues to enter the hotel zone at night. We had to go back and forth with them for almost 10 minutes just to get back to our hotel. Cabs also costed us a fortune due to the construction, after certain hours you have to make a full circle around Tulum to get back to the hotel. Beautiful hotel but the location caused a lot of issues we did not want to deal with

Mi Amor Tulum Hotel Room 13 exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Located inside a national park, remember to bring cash for the entrance fee. The hotel offers a refund of 8 USD as restaurant credit, so make sure to ask for it.

Upon arrival, the security staff was helpful, carrying our luggage from the free parking area. The front desk gave us a warm welcome, accompanied by refreshing drinks. The room, with its unique pink style and amazing bathroom, impressed us. While beach access was limited, the comfortable beach-style couches on the rocky cliffs provided a delightful experience, especially during sunsets.

We felt safe with guards patrolling the property. Mi Amor Hotel offers a private and secure environment. The morning was blissful, enjoying the mini pool with plum trees swaying, music playing, and birds soaring above.

The restaurant area, overlooking Tulum Beach, was a great spot. The servers were friendly, although the orange juice and watermelon juice were not as flavorful. However, the AVOCADOTOAST, JAPANESE-STYLE PANCAKES, and THE HANGOVER SANDWICH were delicious, particularly the pancakes.

The checkout process was easy and hassle-free. I highly recommend Mi Amor Hotel to friends and anyone seeking an unforgettable experience in Tulum.

Beautiful property! I stayed at MiAmour for my birthday & Mothers Day, and I really enjoyed everything the property had to offer. The staff was friendly, and the food was AMAZING!!!! My only issue was that they are doing construction, not on the property but the roads and it was so much money in taxis to get back to the hotel due to the construction. Overall I enjoyed myself.

The hotel and its staff couldn't be better -- the rooms were lovely and comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful in every way. The restaurant is excellent. Mi Amor is located in the Nature Preserve outside of Tulum very near the Mayan ruin which is either a big plus or a big minus depending on why you're going to Tulum in the first place. If you love the loud boisterous bar and beach scene of the town, this is not the place for you. This is the place to get away from all that. The downside is if you want to sample more than a handful of restaurants, everything is a $25-$30 cab ride (each way). The hotel restaurant is excellent and there are a couple of other good ones within walking distance, but going out quickly becomes expensive. Local beaches are beautiful but were full of seaweed most (but not all) of the time we were there. Adults only (No kids running around) policy adds to the peace and quiet.

The communication was broken from the get-go. There’s no toll-free number to contact them and make changes. Email communication was ridiculous and spotty. As result, it was only when we got there - after the hotel transportation, which took 45 minutes to show up and then proceeded to take us 30 minutes out of our way TO THE WRONG HOTEL - that we found the overpriced “romantic” oceanfront room with a crappy “hot tub” (using parentheses because it only reached tepid) was ridiculously too small and was located next to an adjacent facility with party venue & DJ that went until midnight.

It gets better. I talked to the front desk lady, told her things were unsatisfactory and the we needed to check out the next day. And what do you know? All the sudden she couldn’t speak English. Go figure. But she assured us, in broken English, that she would take care of things. She did try and find us rooms at two other sister properties, but we were told the accommodations were equally small and a step down from Mi Amor, which I did not know was possible.

After spending a mostly sleepless night on an uncomfortable bed, we found a different hotel. Turns out the front desk lady did not take care of things as promised, because we had to fight tooth and nail for a partial refund, which given the circumstances, was ridiculous.

So we spent over $5K for one sleepless night there, and as of this writing, have only been refunded 1/3 of that amount. Booooooo!

They scheduled us and our friends with a private tour, only us in the vehicle, to tulum ruins and 2 cenotes. Driver brought along tulum craft beers, soda and water for the trip and bought us lunch on the way back at authentic mayan restaurant. Cheapest and best meal of trip. He also took pics and videos of us swimming in cenotes. Amazing vaca and attention to detail by the staff of hotel. They surprised us on last day with champagne and special hand written note in our room. It was waiting when we arrived back from town

Our stay at Mi Amor was extraordinary. We had amazing views whenever we ate at the restaurant and also our room was equipped with a private plunge pool. The food was marvelous and never disappointed. I also liked they had a-lot of options for cocktail drinks and non alcoholic beverages. We loved whenever Ana or Chanteca were our servers because they provided top notch service. Samuel provided great service and recommended me what drinks to get next. The only complaint i have is that our hotel didn't have access to the beach.

This was an amazing place to stay. Located in the nature preserve it is quieter than the resorts located in the hotel zone. But it's intimate, gorgeous, and the service is excellent. And everyone on the property was extremely happy to help with tips on where to go eat, dance, and visit. Including spots that only \"locals\" really know about. We only wish we had added a few days to our stay

Staff was excellent! Room was clean and cute, but could use a little updating and repair/replacement in some areas to be in line with the pricing. Had such an amazing stay! Spa was wonderful. Food was so good! We truly enjoyed our 4 night stay at Mi Amor.

Perfect retreat!

We had the most amazing stay at Mi Amor. Miriam at the front desk was so incredibly helpful, Ana and Adrian at the restaurant were wonderful. It’s an unbelievably beautiful property - perfect combination of lively and peaceful; close to everything Tulum has to offer but not in the main hustle and bustle. Would recommend a million times over!

The best place!

Amazing place. Absolutely gorgeous location. Feels like you have the resort to yourself due to only having 20 rooms. Cabanas are always available, pool is never crowded, and restaurant is delicious. In addition, the staff is friendly and overly helpful. Cannot say enough good things about this place.

Amazing stay!

It was an amazing stay all around! The team was so friendly the entire time and looking to accommodate anything needed - including early check in /out (although not guaranteed!) Looking forward to another stay but will definitely go with a room with a private pool next time!
