The room, actually a spacious canvas hut, was quite comfortable, quiet, clean and beautifully surrounded by jungle vegetation. My only complaint was that the outdoor shower had no hot water, and I didn't really like going out to the outdoor toilet at night. Also, the included breakfast was great, the resort had a small but nice beach area and pool. They do need to upgrade their kitchen cuisine. For the price expected a better dinner menu.

The bungalow style rooms were fantastic. My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week and really enjoyed the amenities and setting of the hotel. We really enjoyed the quiet and peaceful aspect of this stay. The staff was helpful in every way, from the service at the complimentary breakfasts and then returning to a clean room after a long day.

We were immediately impressed with Our Habitas. The aesthetic is an absolute dream, the property is super clean and well maintained, and the staff is so helpful. We happened to arrive on a night that they had a live DJ, he was so freaking good! We danced and had an amazing time. The food and drinks were delicious and we loved the unique room. 10/10

The rooms are very old and poorly maintained, nothing like advertised. There is a nightclub next to the hotel—no sleep at night and no peace during the day. Staff constantly chase guests for tips. An absolute joke. Not recommended.

Ambiance was amazing, consistent with my last stay at Our Habitas Bacalar… a true eco luxury experience. Fun seeing a coati on site in the early AM! Staff was also amazing: Giovanna at the spa plus some of the best massages I’ve had from Christiana, Edmeda, Elda and Pady. Our wait staff, Armando and Francisco were so kind and lovely also. Breakfast is always such a delight. Keep expanding!

I wanted to love it…. There was many options and we chose it because it was a boutique hotel and the aesthetics. But we had nothing but problems from beginning to end.
It was adult only, and we arrived to eat dinner after a long travel day and there were kids running around.
Food service was ridiculously slow. Food before the drinks came and if you wanted a second drink, good luck.
Breakfast was great and ok service. But one day we had a boxing class above our head when eating it was loud music, loud instructions, and constant smacking hitting pads.
The pool was not cleaned over night, I was kicked out for morning swim to clean it, when it was the best time to swim.
One morning there was glasses and dishes left out literally all over the property and then broken glass beside the pool which I stepped in, told 3 people about it, it took over an hour until finally someone cleaned it up. Every morning there was glasses left out by the pool overnight.
They have a texting service “text us if you need ANYTHING” I was writing them the issues and it wasn’t until our last day did they say they will finally escalate it to a manager, who they said came to talk to us but never did.
Finally we talked to the manager at checkout and they comped our first meal that’s it.
Hate to say it but it wasn’t relaxing at all, it stressed me out immensely after choosing this trip to relax after an illness recovery.
Rooms were beautiful, but the road beside was loud all night. Won’t be back.

I will say that the staff at Our Habitas were exceptional and went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience, however, the resort itself is lacking. Be prepared for a true glamping experience with limited activities, jungle environment, outdoor bathrooms and dining, and no beach. Come prepared to just “be” and unplug. We had a beach villa and in the morning, the sun made the tent very hot even with the small air conditioner. The first two days were miserable to try to sleep. An amenity gift of mezcal and fruit was left for us, and we left the room for a while and upon our return, ants were everywhere! The staff did immediately clean everything and spray, but this experience made our first night very uncomfortable. Later in the week, the temperature cooled off and the room was comfortable. There is no beach at Habitas…only rock. And, when we visited, the rocky beach was covered in sargassum (seaweed). There is a small pool, but the decking around the pool is badly in need of repair with loose boards, and broken wood. There is no fitness room and nowhere to even walk. Loud construction going on next door, and everyday around cocktail time at 6/7 p.m. they would crank up a very loud saw. This noise was a nuisance during the activities that we attended. Habitas is not located within walking distance to the beach restaurants nor to downtown, and each taxi ride is about $30 each way. Although a unique place, we would have enjoyed something more convenient.

I had the ocean view suite, it was absolutely beautiful! I love the boho chic style. It is such a beautiful hotel. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The Moro restaurant in the hotel is insanely good. The food is delicious. Everything is very clean and well maintained.

They also have these very cute activities that are included. I also liked that the bike renting was included so you could just borrow a bike and explore the area.

The area is very central, you’re super close to cool shops and beach clubs.

I wish the hotel had an ATM that would have been helpful to get cash on site, I also wish they had room service.

All in all it was such a wonderful experience and I would definitely visit again.

My husband and I stayed at our habitas AlUla, and it was such an amazing place. With that high expectation, we were looking forward to staying in Habitas Tulum.
The facilities were fine- not too luxury but good enough for glamping I guess. We booked a room with a pool which was fun. It was generally clean (although cleaning ladies didn’t fully clean the room, and we saw a few bugs in the room… but they were tolerable). It was a bit noisy on Sunday due to the live music, but the loud music ended by midnight.
While every staff was generally kind and helpful, coordination between them was lacking. Service requests were often forgotten, and there are a few occasions we didn’t appreciate their lack of professionalism.

This place was beautiful, but there was no ocean access due to the amount of seaweed in March. That’s probably something I should have been aware of, but the photos and description of the property did not indicate the ocean would have seasonal restrictions. The food and service was okay, but nothing exceptional. Not nearly what I would expect for the price. Overall we had a great time, but overpriced for what you receive in comparison to other boutique hotels in Tulum.

Our stay was above the expectations. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the nature this is it. We felt so calm. The rooms are designed in a way for you to connect with nature and feel like you are part of the nature. We had outdoor shower and bathroom which felt amazing. I could see how some people would not like it but we enjoyed it very much. The staff were nice and helpful and breakfast was AMAZING I can’t say how much we enjoyed the breakfast. Lunch menu was a bit limited but we didn’t mind getting out and try local food and other restaurants on the strip. Overall amazing place to relax and reconnect with nature.

One of the most satisfying hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The entire place smells like incense. The pool is wonderful- great view large for the area. (Could use a bit more shade) you are on a small private beach. The rooms are luxurious LARGE “tents” on wooden platforms. The shower is outdoors and completely private. We had a little pool which was lovely. Not heated. Toilet is enclosed with a door in a beautiful bathroom. We LOVED the activities which I normally find to be lame at hotels, these were fun and interesting, painting, mezcal tasting, sound bath. Food is phenomenal. We opted for the breakfast and it was absolutely worth it, delicious and varied, very interesting choices. Best grilled octopus I’ve ever had. We didn’t have any issues with bugs or mosquitoes in our room, the property was very quiet. Lovely walk ways and rest areas. Yes there is AC and it worked as well as any room I’ve stayed in. I’m a boutique luxury traveler who isn’t super granola and I found this to be a fun, interesting change from the typical hotel room. I would absolutely stay here again.

Very welcoming staff. They remember your names and personally attend to your needs. You have everything you will need in the rooms. We stayed in the jungle room and it’s so peaceful. You can hear people talking outside but that’s the experience. Cannot expect to stay in a eco friendly hotel and expect everything modern. It’s a beautiful change from the daily hustle. Restaurant has high quality food. Limited vegetarian options if you are planning to stay for more than 2-3 days. Beach is small but private. Recommend this place without any hesitation.

This is a nice place but has limitations( single restaurant) and a noise issue that is why we left after 2 days and asked for a refund they told us to contact you. I send you a mail with our reasons but had no reply. After 2 days we booked through hotels com and moved to Beach Tulum which is a much better hotel.our habitat is very near main road so there is a lot of road noise secondly rooms are tent so you can hear your neighbour as if they are in your room.We couldnt sleep because of neighbour talk and road noise so we moved out .

We were disappointed with our stay, especially at the price point! SERVICE was mediocre, they don’t return, phone calls, or communication. Accommodations were not so clean. Tent had mold. No beach towels usually. The chair broke in the balcony, and my partner, fell back on the chair and hit her head badly. Good was just ok. Overall disappointed.

A super calm and well designed resort.
The absolute best glamping place in tulum.
Rooms are spacious beds are super comfortable.
All rooms have indoor sink and mirror with out door shower and toilets.
The pool the sun beds are super nice.
Best rooms in the property are the 5 ocean front tents that are absolutely gorgeous.
Two downsides to the property are
1. it is a little far from the tulum beach and it does not have a sandy beach
2.about 15-20 min without traffic away from the tulum strip.
They have bikes that you can check out from the reception and use.
The staff are extremely nice and helpful in every way.
Loved our stay was very soothing.

Habitas Tulum is an exceptional property with a unique character. Nestled in the jungle, the eco-resort blends luxury seamlessly into the natural environment in an extraordinarily picturesque location. It has a unique and extraordinary energy. When you couple the energy of the natural location itself, Habitas’s seamless development within it and the nutritious cuisine (all locally sourced produce), it’s very revitalising and makes for a relaxing stay. It is quiet, picturesque and therapeutic. I was initially booked for 4 nights, and I loved Tulum so much I added another 3 nights at Habitas. Habitas has done an excellent job, as they always do, having stayed in Habitas Al Ula previously - unique hotels of absolute quality.

The only constructive point I will note (as this is not for everyone) is that this is truly an eco-resort. The rooms are temperature controlled and very comfortable / luxurious but the shower and toilet (in the Jungle rooms, at least) is in the back. While this is aesthetic and actually quite relaxing (cool vibes) it may be uncomfortable for some people who are a bit sensitive to the outdoors (insects and the like). Further, the rooms are effectively heavy duty canopy tented and, as such, when there is a lot of noise you would be able to hear it (generally, there isn’t). This cuts both ways as it immerses you in the environment while keeping you comfortable but equally, you can hear outside of there is say some works being done in the morning.

Lovely concept of hotel.

I didn’t realize I had booked the same brand of hotel twice in one trip. I also stayed in their Bacalar location - sorry for Tulum Bacalar was far superior experience.

The problem is that the property is much smaller. The rooms and walk ways are too close apart. I was woken a couple times during the night. Front desk allowed me to check out late to rest (make up for bad night). I really appreciated this service and somewhat made up for bad experience.

I would definitely stay at another Habitas property in the future.

What to say about Habitas?If you are looking for an eco-friendly stay in the middle of the nature with a bohemian touch though a five star service then this is the place to be. Best position in Zona Hotelera far away from the party zone and less attractive part, luxury though eco-friendly rooms and most of all, we have been to the top restaurants of Zona Hotelera but still Moro At Habitas has been the best restaurant in all Tulum. The only negative aspect, if I can find one is that the beach is very small and has not the colors of Playa Paraiso but the weather was not always good so in other period of the years might be much better. Thanks Habitas and staff for a wonderful stay. Obrigada!!!

Stayed at both Nomade and Casa malca was looking forward for Habitas however its a hotel for isolation. If youre trying to have fun its not the place to be. If you are trying to isolate Nomade is better and cheaper option with newer services and better beach views. Habitas is oldest, we had the room with pool, pool cleanliness average. Their restaurant is different but nice

I had noisy next door neighbors, walls in my room are NOT good noise barriers. Problems w/ toilet. Overpriced rate, food was good but overpriced ($18 dollars for a grey goose drink ).... is this San Francisco, CA ? The beach had plenty of brown algae, the bikes they lend you are old, not maintained well at all ( please!! i loved the property here. the classes are amazing i guess in tulum wellness teachers are more experienced than here in ny. i learned so much here during class.

the service and management is so uncomfortable i cant explain it. i had to have daily battle to get enough water sent to my room. during very very expensive dinners, lunch and breakfast water is not free!!! It’s also not so easy to get a few jugs of water from a nearby store nor do I preferred to use single use plastic. Nothing here as free even on my way out I wanted a glass of champagne and since I checked out already they made me run and get my purse. very odd. it puts a weird edge on your vacation that is not explainable until you feel it for yourself. many requests ( free water) were answered with passive agression.

Finally when I went to leave and use my fathers card to pay my bill as planned they decided not to accept it and also threaten to not allow me to leave the hotel thank goodness we had brought a separate card to use or maybe I will be in Mexican jail lol. its 2022 you can accept credit cards that dont match your name. we have cameras now etc

the food is very good. cant remember having better food. service was pretty uncomfortable- not even one little thank you for the 5k i spent there in 5 days but - the food was amazing and the breakfast staff made me feel like a guest. if it weren’t for them i dont know. i recommend the prepaid breakfast! also the local fish.

Everyone was very friendly, and the restaurant/common areas were very beautiful. We enjoyed the yoga that was offered each day. Bikes are available to go exploring, which was great and you can even ride to Tulum Ruins.
The drawbacks: we had a private pool room and was surprised that it backed up to a main road so we heard road noise and un-muffled motorcycles all hours of the day and night. Two of the days there room next to us was being re-roofed and our last day they were digging a trench in front of our room. It was loud. If you get a room nearer to the common area it should be nice. I also should have checked closer to amenities included, because if you want a cup of coffee, it's $5 usd

We had an amazing experience here. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. You must sit in Alexis’s section at Moro the restaurant in Habitas. He was fantastic . We ate next door at Azulik and a couple other places and found the food and drinks to be far better at Moro. We will be back .

Loved the design, decor and vibe of the place; the breakfast is excellent. The staff were very pleasant and the service top notch.
The outdoor bathroom was exotic but when it rained, because of a tree that went through the cabin, the roof leaked, which was not that pleasant. The outdoor shower was very nice though.
Some of the classes included in the stay were not impressive.
But overall it was an excellent stay, I recommend Habitas Tulum.
