This was not there fault in a way, I did not read the part of sharing washroom amenities and was alet dow. The other factor it was that we have only afan for cooling and una place where the weather is over 30c at night that is well not good. Also the whole having to go through military security was about to much because the Internet does not work properly by the gate area and it took a long time to be able to confirm I had a reservation.

I was extremely disappointed that there is no air conditioning in the rooms. It was definitely my fault I didn’t do my due diligence on checking if they had it but I assumed all hotels did. It was extremely uncomfortable, hot and sticky, not enjoyable. I had to leave early. The walls in the bedrooms were gross, shower was dirty looking and worn down. The greeter at the front desk said there was a pool, it was green and had caution tape all around it.. beach was covered in sea weed. Just overall not good.

The hotel was beautiful. We stayed for 5 nights. First 3 nights we stayed in a cute little room with beach view, which I loved a lot. Later we got an upgrade to a Pent house. The staff was very helpful to do so, However it was not as beautiful as the previous one. There were lots of insects in the room, even when the windows and door were closed. I am very scared of them so it was very difficult for me to survive those 2 nights. However the experience in the hotel and with the staff was amazing. I would love to come again and stay in the same room I was staying at first. The beautiful sunrise and breezy morning. I wish I could stay there a little longer.

It’s definitely a property that looks better in pictures than in person. We only stayed one night and proceeded to check out. The beaches were just a tad bit too dirty for our liking and the rooms were definitely not what I expected. Overall hospitality was amazing.

Resort is in a great location! Staff was friendly. Casa Maria has great food! Rooms are cute. A lil musty and I had no hot water so had to move from an ocean view villa to one in the back. I enjoyed my stay just wish I didn’t have to switch rooms or at least got upgraded, not downgraded.

Tough to review because the grounds are stunning. Some of the staff are absolutely amazing and go out of their way to make sure you feel welcomed. I had some great moments and some terrible ones so it’s a real mixed bag. They provide great grounds, the beach is amazing and it’s a good value for being in the park it felt like a once in a lifetime exp for sure. I loved it. So fun.

The artwork is stunning, but the room was bad. I room had barely enough lighting. There was no fan except one built in above the bed. The shower was growing black mold. Yes the toxic kind. I had a full blown reaction but many people do not believe in this sort of thing so I typically donoot relier it.

The View is the best , we travel to Tulum for three times, the hotel located a beautiful spot , we stays 4days . Room view is fantastic, we stay at 2nd floor, you can see the sun rise and beautiful ocean views even you lay on the bed ! The only thing is not there is the coffee, and breakfast first two day is ok, you will get bored with it after second morning. The stuff are very friendly. Room is ok, it is a little bit tiny,if you travel family with two teen, or it is ok !

It's worth coming just for the surroundings: nature, beautiful beaches, a clean, well-maintained facility, and beautiful views. The downside was the very unpleasant smell coming from the cottages, making it difficult to sleep. The biggest problem was the restaurant and the service, especially one waiter who made a fuss about our tip being too low. It was stressful! This kind of behavior ruins the overall impression and opinion of the hotel, and especially the quality of the facility.

Well maintained. i counted 57 wheelbarrows of seaweed removed one morning from the beach. Th infestation is relentless and not the faut of the property management.
We enjoyed the yoga and the multiple lounge spots.
Beer was pricey compared to neighboring resorts. We liked the music night, even danced to it.

Rustic, glamping style hotel in a perfect location with its own private little cove/beach, a fantastic restaurant that serves both Mexican, and other, cuisine, and a great staff ready to accomodate…A place where you can truly relax in the perfect spot right on the beach, in rooms with thatched roofs and some with private outdoor bathrooms (shower under the stars), away from the sterile pretentiousness of Playa Del Carmen and the zona Hotelera in Tulum, a true place where relaxing on your personal cabana by the waves just takes you away from the hustle and bustle. Just be ready to glamp it a bit…

Rustic and rundown, not worth the money

The cabins are very rustic and very small. Every morning there was noise from a truck standing on the street next to our cabin (king ocean view) for up to 30 minutes. The nights were very hot (April) and the fan insufficient to cool us down. We couldn’t use the beach at all (nobody did) due to heavy seaweed (see picture), and the whole place looks a bit rundown, with tarps on some of the roofs.

Beautiful Hotel…But NOT good value!!!

The hotel is beautiful and we loved our room. However the value isn’t great.

Food and drinks are very expensive. It was in most cases double the prices in Canadian $. I’m not looking for it to be cheaper than us but maybe at least the same. If you try to bring in your own water it will be taken away because the hotel is in a national park. There isn’t also a fridge to keep your water cold if you had it. They will say this is because they want to be echo friendly but they could find other echo friendly energy sources to accommodate this.

On top of this the service wasn’t great. People were cold and not very welcoming. When when checked in the women at the desk seemed miserable. She was very short with us and didn’t smile or say hello at all. Then the cleaning and staff that take care of the grounds weren’t friendly at all, even when you just said hello. I will say the only people who really seemed genuine was Alex and the staff is the restaurant.

If your ok with this, I say stay here because the actual hotel and grounds around it are beautiful, but if you would like genuine everyday human kindness, go somewhere else.

Diamante K is literally paradise. So, so beautiful! The rooms are right on the ocean. Such a stunning place. This time of year there was a lot of seaweed on the beaches but not a fault of the hotel. Absolute quiet and ideal--away from the party scene of Tulum. 5 minutes from the Mayan ruins by bike. Absolutely loved it and will be returning again and again!

Well, we had a good time because we stayed for 2 nights before going to our 4 nights somewhere else and decided to enjoy what we had, however, for us, the bed was too soft and the room beside being very small, was a little bit too rustic for our taste. If you are used to camping, it’s an upgrade from a good tent. If you are on the beginning of a relationship, keep in mind that the room is very very small with a bathroom and toilet inside and no doors, just a bambu curtain for some privacy and half wall dividing the toilet from the bed. It’s exactly beside the bed, and I am not exaggerating. 3 feet from the bed, maybe, with no doors and half wall, use your imagination 😁. The hotel employees and restaurant personnel were very polite and the food was good. There is not many options around and if you are planning on leaving the hotel to walk around the hotel ave where everything happens, will cost you $30 to $40 dollars one way, plus $6 per person to get back inside the national park.

We booked an ocean view queen bed bungalow but got a tree house which had no view of the ocean at all. There were gaps in the wood flooring everywhere, cracks in window frames through which huge biting ants and mosquitoes were coming in the room. We got bitten by those ants a few times, and finally had to give up and leave. The onsite staff were trying to be helpful but the online management was defensive. Instead of apologizing and showing their accountability, they told us “they could not control ants!”. We didn’t pay almost USD400 a night to live in a treehouse and get bitten by ants and bugs. That’s something we’d expect from $30-camping. The hotel seemed overbooked, so they had only that ants-infested room and one other room of the same style which was located further away, much smaller and claustrophobic. They didn’t give us the room we booked. We didn’t get the VIP Access benefit that was advertised in our Expedia booking either. The worst experience in Mexico. Stay away from this poorly managed “hotel” with greedy, unprofessional management.

The room that we booked #4 is a tiny room with an ocean view. There is a restaurant next-door that has seating right in front of your window so there’s absolutely no privacy. Check in was also very strange. We were asked to give $150 cash for incidentals, for some reason their credit card machine wasn’t working. The food was hit or miss including drinks, I drink Don Julio reposado and they definitely were not using Don Julio reposado in my drink . Property is beautiful and has huge potential but under better management.

The property is nice, and my room was a small cabin. If you are a nature person, you will definitely enjoy the stay. The breakfast was great and the personnel very friendly. Miguel and Carlos were the best at the restaurant. However, the property is located in a National Park. Therefore, when you arrive be ready to pay 60 pesos per person, and make sure you don’t have any food or drinks before entering the national park because it will be thrown away.

Diamante K will be a great choice for some travelers and a terrible one for others. If you want to be away from the madness of the Tulum scene, and are seeking a peaceful spot in the midst of nature, this is a pretty good choice. The property is clean and the staff are helpful. The views out over the ocean are lovely if you can mentally screen out the huge mounds of stinking sargassum. The restaurant is excellent, but far too pricey for the average eco-tourist.
Travelers who want comfort and beach amenities will not find it here, at least in the summer. There is no AC and the rooms are stifling despite the small fans mounted inside the beds. The pool is poorly maintained. The tiny beach area is totally swamped in sargassum--you would have to wade out through a four foot deep sargassum sponge to get to water, and the entire area is fouled by sargassum fronds out to about 25-30 feet from shore.

If you like being inside a national park, this place fits the bill. Just be aware that every time you enter the park, your car will be searched by police for alcohol or plastic, you will have to pay a hefty entrance fee (EVERY DAY) for the national park, and there is only one road in and out.

We stayed for 2 nights and it was one the most peaceful place we’ve been to in many years. Sleeping so close to the ocean was a dream come true. The property is so chill. It’s got a beautiful Tulum vibe.
The hotel and restaurant staff were friendly, professional and totally respectful and welcoming. The restaurant food was excellent. High quality and delicious. Live music during dinner was so relaxing. I would recommend this beautiful gem to anyone who wants to feel special. Thank you Diamanté K for an unforgettable experience. Viva Mexico!

The beach was beautiful and the hotel had some nice cabanas and seating area by the water. The actual swimming area at the hotel is a bit rocky and very small but you can go to the main beach up the road.
The area itself is ok. Lots of construction so the noise wakes you up around 7am. Getting places is really hard, we felt isolated there. Most restaurants around the area close at 6pm so for dinner you are forced to really overpay for sushi or Thai food, or you can go to the restaurant at the hotel that charges 500 pesos for an entree. Only looks nice in pictures and we felt that photos online made to be a place that doesn’t actually exist. Most places on the beach don’t serve alcohol, you can’t bring it inside of the park either.
The rooms were way smaller than advertised, the bathroom didn’t have a door and the walls were essentially made out of bamboo. We were lucky it didn’t rain because it would definitely leak. There is no AC, only a little fan that is attached to the top of the canopy bed that also has some mold on it probably from how humid it is in the room. The floor is just plain concrete, looks dirty and had a lot of sand everywhere. The detergent that they use on the sheets is very strong if you’re sensitive to that.
The yoga class in the morning was nice, minus the construction noise throughout the class and the mats were really old and smelled.
Overall we felt like it wasn’t worth the price that we paid for the hotel.

We were looking for a quiet getaway to relax and Diamante k was just that!! The cabin was comfortable and steps away from the ocean. We had a view of the sunrise from our bed!! The restaurant was very nice with good food. Comparable to the prices in the area. The staff at the restaurant as well as the hotel were very nice and accommodating.
You could walk to other beaches and restaurants without difficulty and it was very close to tulum ruins.
If you are interested in party scene this isn’t your spot but it is serene and beautiful.
A couple suggestions for the resort would be a way to clean your feet off after coming from the beach as well as an ice machine.
Can’t wait to get back to this piece of paradise!!!

The concept of the hotel is great, but the execution is lacking. Beautiful area, but hard to get to because of the road construction around the hotel, and the fact that's inside a national park.
For a family (dad, mom, two teenage girls), the lack of privacy for using the bathroom was terrible. The handles to use the sink's faucet was not practical -- hard to turn. And, no AC, made it hard to sleep at night; yes, there are fans, but not good enough to keep the body cool.

Dimante is a beautiful relaxing property, my take away is the No a/c I felt like I could have managed it but the humidity was driving me crazy. Also they are doing construction in the Tulum national park. So getting to the location is one way in which takes you a long time. And one way out which is a breeze. Currently the road isn’t a two way so in order to get to this location you have to enter from the main national park entrance. One more thing that was off putting was the prices for the food at the restaurant. I know Tulum is relatively expensive but I found it outrageous that they will sell regular snapper for 90 usd …not a good meaty steak , but snapper . I checked out early and went somewhere else.

Staff does make a difference

Check in initially was not so smooth since they made a mistake for our reservation. However the staff at all times tried to find a viable solution. This said, they managed to work it out and gave us the room we booked along with some other perks. Tulum is a fine destination however a bit overpriced for my taste, but this IS a very nice hotel, with very nice rooms, great staff and great food, every single dollar well spent. Will definitely come back!!

Ended up being really disappointed

The selling point to me was the private beach, but you can’t swim there, you’ll end up being stuck in seaweed.
Some days you can’t even sit there the smell of seaweed is so strong. (My stay was in early April, seaweed season begun early this year). We went to other beaches where the situation was managed better.

The hotel also has no ac - our windows were not too far from the road, so we ended up waking up at 5-6 am every morning because of some trucks on the road and other outside noise.

Bathroom and bedroom did not have a door between them, added to “romantic” experience.

Overall, you pay extra but don’t really get any comfort.

To be fair, things that were good:
- the ambience is really nice. It does feel like a secluded area, not too many people, a really nice restaurant at the property with good food (the prices were high but that’s an overall situation in Tulum right now).
- really cool free yoga classes/other activities (some of them got cancelled last minute without any heads up though).

Bungalows we’re rustic and fun. Make sure to take extra outlet plugs, only 1 per room. Ice is limited. Beach covered in saragassum seaweed, unable to utilize. Restaurant staff and food was excellent. Front desk staff were not very helpful with concierge type things. Didn’t seem like there really was a concierge. Pool is small and water cold. Wellness classes were enjoyable. Everything in Tulum was way overpriced!! Will not return to Tulum because it is unbelievably expensive. Taxi 2 miles $50 each way. Food outrageously priced and shopping super expensive.

My wife and I visited here for our honeymoon in September of 2021. I am so terrible at procrastinating with leaving reviews, but I have had this email saved forever promising I would give them the justice they deserve. Diamante K was the most magical place her and I have ever stayed, and we still talk about. The staff went above and beyond to give us their best room they had, which is what we requested before flying in. We cannot wait to go back and make more memories at this enchanted gem on the beach! If you are a couple, and are looking for the perfect romantic getaway that gives that beachy-treehouse vibe, this is the place to go, and is extremely budget friendly!

The property is unique and small right at the beach. The unit we stayed in did not have central AC, no refrigerator and TV. It was comfortable at this time of the year. We enjoyed the beautiful place, and the staff was great.

It is a beautiful resort and very relaxing. We loved the morning yoga, and the beach and garden and pool. The food was great. It might not be the set up for everyone as the bathroom is outside and there is a lot of sand that comes into the room when it is windy plus the mosquito netting is not just for looks but necessary to use.
Also, Mexico is now smoke-free, but the resort is struggling to implement. I am allergic to smoke and requested that they follow the law. The ash trays were removed yet some guests continue to smoke. I hope in the future that diamanté K becomes 100% smoke-free as required by law, and for the health and safety of all their guests.

This property is beautiful. Our room was right on the beach. We kept the window open all night to the sounds of the Caribbean and the wind. Woke up to see the sun rising over the water, jumped out of bed and went outside to watch it. Absolutely stunning. Dinner in the restaurant was very good and convenient. Went to yoga in the morning, which is free to guests, and did an hour practice while looking out over the water. The vibe here is of peace and wellness. So grateful we were able to stay!

Beautiful, relaxed, easy. The room was lovely, no frills (open air, no AC, TV). Staff was warm and helpful. Great location near ruins and snorkeling, only a few other hotels and restaurants nearby. Private beach is quiet, lovely. Relaxed party vibe music. Nice restaurant with service to the beach. I didn’t make it the free yoga in the AM or the massages, did attend a couple new age-y but lovely evening ceremonies. Probably best for couples, but nice for my family too!
