Very clean room. I had an issue with the door into initial room and they ended up moving me to an upgraded room with a beautiful ocean view. Staff were friendly, food and service was amazing, views were stunning. The are is very friendly for walking around and finding shops as well as easy access to the beach from the hotel. I will definitely come back.

I wish I could give more than five stars because I had an excellent time at Holland House. The food is among the best I've had when traveling, the staff were so, so helpful anytime I needed assistance and the room was beautiful and relaxing to come back to after a long day on the road. I’m looking forward to returning to St. Maarten and definitely looking forward to coming back to Holland House.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Holland House Beach Hotel in Dutch St. Maarten for our 7th wedding anniversary. Holland House's location is right on the beautiful, clean beach with stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the island and beach.
The hotel itself was excellent. Our room had a city view; it was very comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a day out. What truly stood out, though, was the staff, with special mention to Ms. Lusianny Matute, who provided excellent customer service and was attentive to our special requests. The bartenders were fantastic, and both the bar and restaurant offered excellent service and great food and drinks.
Another highlight is how walkable and convenient the area is. There are attractions, with plenty of shopping and transportation options just steps away. The city is clean, vibrant, and welcoming, which made us feel safe and comfortable throughout our visit.
Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way.
Also, you can easily explore nearby islands via ferry - we were able to visit the French side of St. Maarten, Anguilla, and St. Barths. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone visiting St. Maarten!

We had a great overall experience at this property. The resort is very well maintained, and the staff was consistently friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks were excellent — as they should be considering the prices. Breakfast was included with our stay, and both the selection and service exceeded expectations. We actually preferred the lounge/bar menu over the main dinner menu, not because of cost, but simply due to the variety and flavor, so I’d recommend trying items from both menus during your stay.

The beach itself was a bit underwhelming, mainly because of the nearby cruise ship traffic. The water was murkier than what we typically expect in SXM, and the sand had quite a few cigarette butts and pigeons around. That said, the front desk staff was extremely helpful in arranging taxis so we could explore other beaches across the island.

One of the highlights of the property is its location at the base of a beautiful mountain, which creates amazing views from the boardwalk area. Just be aware that most shops and restaurants nearby tend to close around 5–6 PM once the cruise ships depart. Fortunately, there were still a few great spots within walking distance, and we felt safe throughout our stay

I am so grateful that I booked Holland House. It was truly a beautiful experience waking up every morning to the stunning beach view. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, and kind throughout my stay.

My room was cleaned and beautifully made up every day, and the team made sure my stay was comfortable and relaxing from beginning to end. ❤️ I also absolutely loved the shower, it was one of my favorite parts of the room! The bed was also extremely comfortable, I slept so well every night and woke up feeling refreshed and energized. 😁

What I also loved most was the location. Everything was close by: restaurants, the boardwalk, taxis, stores, and even the village festivals within walking distance.

Their restaurant with the sea view was so relaxing, and the live music was one of the best parts of my stay. I was able to truly enjoy a peaceful solo romantic and relaxing time for myself.

I would definitely recommend Holland House to anyone looking for a wonderful, beautiful and convenient stay❤️❤️

This hotel is in the heart of Philipsburg. The entrance is on the main shopping street and you can walk through the hotel to access the Boardwalk and the beach. Rooms are spacious. I love the walk-in shower. Breakfast is included. You are given a card and you can select any seven items.

Great Hotel, front desk staff was excellent and caring. Only drawback is if you rent a car there’s a secondary parking that is off the property and you have to rely of the security guard to come to let you in or out the parking. If you are planing to rent a car, call the hotel in advance so they can get you a remote control so you park at the hotel private parking without depending on someone if you want to leave or come back to the off site parking.

The car park didnt have electronic keys available during our 5 days, we had to have the bell hop walk us to car park each time so they could use their car park key to let us out.

We had an ocean view room with a balcony. It was wonderful to be able to sit out and see the ocean!
The room could use some up dates but was very functional with a fridge, kettle, coffee maker. Breakfast was more than enough with many choices. We brought some of the food back to habe for snacks or lunch!! All staff were friendly and accommodating! Very busy area with lots of shops and restaurants.

We had an oceanview room. Property was clean and breakfast was good. The one down fall is they rent chairs to people on cruises and beach is overcrowded and not relaxing. They reserve the front row for guests but not always inforced. Also everything shuts down at 8pm nothing to do at night

We love this hotel. It is small but clean and very close to the beach. The staff are friendly. The room was cleaned everyday and towels were changed daily. The amenities were always refilled.

Beautiful view, clean comfortable room. Great location with wonderful beach. Staff in restaurant and lounge were so pleasant, especially Fleur and Natasha!! The front desk staff was somewhat disappointing. They always answered my questions, but never seemed happy about it. There was a general attitude of being “bothered” by everything.

The staff was helpful and friendly. Keisha in the restaurant put a smile on my face everyday. The breakfast was incredible. That was a pleasant surprise. The location of the hotel on the beach was great. The front desk staff seemed to be involved in everything! They were all knowledgeable and helpful. We were unsure about staying here, as Philipsburg gets very quiet after the cruise ships leave, but after the stay, we couldn’t be any happier with our choice to stay at the Holland House.

Very clean, very comfortable bed, beautiful view from my room, and I was able to watch the sunset daily. Loved the fact that my room had a Nespresso coffee machine, which was a perk! All around lovely and classy hotel, not to mention the restaurant was perfect. The food was delicious, and my compliments to the chef! Their food presentation was beautiful.

The bar and restaurant seem to be one of the most popular on the island. EXCELLENT food and service. EACH BARTENDER knows (remembers) all your needs
and NATASHA & FLEUR deliver with style and grace. The beach is lovely with cushioned lounges and towels set up by staff for you. SHENEKA (spelling?) at the BEACH BAR is always willing to do just about anything to make your day perfect. (THANKS for the ICED TEAS!!💕)

This was our 2nd stay at the holland in a 3 month period. We love the entire island, beautiful beaches all around. You have amazing and delicious restaurants all around at walking distance from the hotel. 100% recommend the restaurant at the property. A lot of shopping stores up and down the entire area. Everything does close early here (5pm, each place has its own time) which to us was no issue at all. There are a few restaurants near or close by that do close later in the night. We did rent a car to explore the island and were able to go have late dinners at other places outside of downtown philipsburg. I would strongly recommend getting a rental. Walking on to the property you see the beautiful view of the beach, the balcony view is breath taking. You have beach access with beach chairs, umbrella and towels. Our second stay the bed was super comfortable. The rooms are amazing with great space, very accommodating, clean and stocked with the toiletry needed. Truly a great place to stay, and for a fact is due to all the hard working staff. The staff is AMAZING and they make your stay very welcoming…I can go on and on about how great the entire staff is. The holland will be our place to stay anytime we come back.

The hotel rooms are modern and the decore is beautifully minimalist. Balcony on the beach omg a must have. Area is quiet but a tive when cruises come in. Staff was A+ so kind, so courteous attentive and pleasant. Best staff Ive encountoured on vacation this year. Very friendly, love them. Gorgous beach views. Neach is steps from the hotel. Waterfront, hotel restaurant's food is amazing, and tastes great. Drinks are strong enough, bartender was nice. Hotel is astetically pleasing. You will live it at Holland House, it's my hotel of choice.

This is the place to stay in Philipsburg. The hotel is clean, beautiful, and welcoming. The staff were incredible, always greeting us with a smile. The front desk helped call us a taxi service, and they were very reasonable. The food and drinks at the restaurant were exceptional. The beach and sunsets were spectacular. I would definitely choose this place again.

I recently stayed at the Holland House Hotel in St. Maarten and had a really enjoyable experience. The location is absolutely perfect — right on the beach and in the heart of Philipsburg. Waking up to ocean views and being steps away from the boardwalk was a definite highlight.
The room was modern, clean, and comfortable, with a great balcony to relax on. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the included breakfast was a nice bonus — fresh, tasty, and served with a view.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the nightlife it’s practically no nightlife, and parking can be a bit tricky if you’re renting a car. Still, nothing that ruined the trip — just something to be aware of.
Overall, Holland House is a stylish, well-run hotel in an unbeatable location. I’d definitely stay here again!
