Staff was friendly. Room was clean! Dirt cheap for downtown San Francisco… cheap $30 covered parking. Walking distance to Concert and show venues. 20 min Uber ($10 depending on time and date) to the Chase center.

If you’re expecting the Ritz, look elsewhere. If you understand the area you just booked the hotel, the price, parking… then this place is a gem. I was with my daughter and her two friends ages 17 to19. While the area was a little sketch, I never once felt it was unsafe for me and the girls…

I would 100% stay here again.

Had a very nice stay. Room was clean, easy to check in as the front desk employee was very friendly. This is a bare bones hotel but it was cozy for what we needed it for, which is walkable to the Civic Center. Yes, it can be loud outside but it is a city and for the most part it was not even bad. They do provide ear plugs if you need them. Bring a credit card and yes, they do charge for parking.

Staff member was very arrogant and at 1st refused to take my debit card and said it needed to be a credit card.

But the main issue is with yourself by not showing the extra parking charges on the main list, also the need for a credit card should be shown on the main booking section as well.

Going back to the receptionist, he said I would have 5 mins to unload my car or it would be towed away if I didn't pay.

As for the room, that was acceptable and no more but the main issue is the noise all night, the building must be built with very thin bricks as the traffic noise and general outside noise was so load. Also the location is a drug den paradise, which isn't safe whatsoever.

SOMA hotel with parking at a good price point. They provide earplugs which are needed. But most people here don't sleep that much. The location is rough if you're used to the hi-life, but perfect for slumming the SOMA leather bars.

The location was convenient for the events I attended. I liked that parking was available on the premises. The room was clean, comfortable, and fully functional. Service was quick, efficient, and friendly. The room was close to the elevator as well as the stairs. Having multiple staircases turned out to be very convenient, depending on where we were headed from the room.

PROS:
1. Room was very clean, no bedugs, no mold, no cameras.

2. Mattress was in good shape, well supplied amenities

3. Check in/out process was ok. Room can be paid with debit card, but parking and deposit only by credit card.

4. Building held up well during a 4.3 earthquake.

5. One liquor store market right across the street with easy access (not much else around though)

CONS:
1. Bad neighborhood. Sketchy people and a lot of loud noise and yelling all night long. Earplugs are provided, and rooms cant be accessed from the street, only by keycard, making it safe.

2. TV only works when you manually push TV buttons, and switch it to HDMI 1

3. Parking is a tight squeeze and limited. Your parking spot may be parked right at sidewalk, so make sure there are no valuables left in your car.

OVERALL: I would definitely stay here again because its cheap and clean. Just come prepared and know where youre going so you dont end up lost in the Tenderloin area a couple of blocks away.

You may not get the type of room you booked

Good budget hotel, comfortable and clean room. However, I had booked a room with a king size bed but the room had a full size bed. Hotel management refused to reimburse the price difference between the 2 types of rooms, even after hotel.com contacted them. Hotel.com, customer service, to their credit, did issue a compensation in the form of a credit to my account.

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice, clean, and comfortable our stay was. We knew the area is rough. But the hotel was a welcomed respite. Beds were clean. Bathroom was clean. Desk attendant was super friendly and very hospitable. I will def stay here again if I'm back in the city and want to be close to the BGCA.

The staff is friendly & accommodating. The rooms could use some upgrading but doesn't take away from how clean and well maintained they are. The location was my only drawback. The area is VERY noisy (ie could hear the bus pull up every 30 mins). At night the car noise slows down but the homeless tend to take over (ie loud screaming, music). I understand it is out of the control of the establishment however it does affect someone's stay. I felt safe the whole time, since room keys are necessary to access the rooms.

Very decent price for having to stay in the downtown area. It isn't the Ritz, but it was clean and tidy, with on-site parking (extra $30) and a kind, friendly staff.

Two things that I think are important to be aware of: (1) when comparing prices, notice this venue adds $5/night \"service charge\" which is in addition to the total charge listed for the booking and (2) they've instituted an undocumented \"no visitors\" policy.

Unexpected fees after prepaying for my stay. Also the guy over charged my credit card and gave me issues once I asked for a refund. There was also blood on the sheets in the room. Don’t forget $30 per night to park in a non secure parking lot in a really unsafe part of town. If you’re not from the area do not let these fake pictures fool you this place is a dump!

They had a good supply of soap and shampoo of good quality. The bathroom was kinda small, but that is normal for the area. The bed was average, but the pillow and bedding was pretty bad. The service and price however was excellent and still worth a stay if you need a hotel in the area.

Stayed here for one night while visiting SOMA because it was convenient to the bars I was going to and had reasonable parking rates. The building is old but in good condition, with plenty of parking. There was even an elevator which I was surprised about. The room was more than adequate and had a refrigerator & microwave. Again, it was old, but very clean.

The neighborhood it's in suffers from the usual problems in urban areas, although it's been cleaned up a lot over the past couple of years. If you're not intimidated by city life you'll have no problems walking around here. There are plenty of markets and restaurants within a couple of blocks, and it's a short walk to many of the more popular bars in SOMA, making it very convenient.

I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip.

I arrived at the hotel at 11:30. I was told there were no rooms available. I was also told that since I did not buy the insurance on my reservation that I forfeited my deposit for the room. These people who own this property are scam artists. They did the same thing to two other people and said they were just out of luck

Okay but room for improvement.

We stayed overnight as a place to crash after seeing Green Day at Oracle park:
Pros: It was clean, the plumbing worked, and they offered plenty of soap and coffee in the room, as well as earplugs, which we quickly learned were there to block the sound of the streets outside.
Cons: There was only one thin blanket on the bed and we got cold, and the tv didn't work. I also found it weird that they have the coat hanger right by the bathroom sink where you would normally hang towels. We felt lucky that we no one broke into our car.
This was an okay place to crash, but I wouldn't recommend staying here formore than one night.

This is a very small motel type inn in the SOMA area of South San Francisco, so you may not expect much in terms of comfort; but they do provide it in abundance. And the front desk service is extremely friendly!

Beds are comfy , no issues with the water using shower, getting ice is a bit odd to ask downstairs, people will be talking and yelling early morning and at late night but this is SF so its not hotel's fault. There is a liquor store next door you can grab things and a donut shop as well.buses are all around to use.
I will come again very soon to this property

Our room was clean and spacious, though we couldn't get the heater to turn on, so it was a bit chilly overnight. The location is not great - the area around the Inn was pretty sketchy, seemed to be many homeless people around. The room itself was updated, and the property felt well-cared for once you stepped off the street outside.

Horrible, don’t stay.

Hair on the towels, heater blew a circuit on 2nd day. Remote to tv/dish didnt work, got a new remote & remote didnt work. Watched a volumeless tv, couldnt change the station & volume, could only turn tv on. Used their hdmi to plug in my laptop for netflix & it didnt connect. Mattresses are flat, old, sinks in the center from side to side & top to bottom.

The property was in good conditions, it was clean, room was spacious. However, I was surprised when the hotel charged me an additional $30 per nights for parking. Expedia did not disclose that parking was not included with the reservation. Other than the unexpected parking fee; my stay was good. But the streets of San Francisco are not safe.Too many mentally ill people roam and live on the streets, making it very unsafe.

This Hotel was everything I needed for my 6 night stay during Outside Lands. A lot of great dining options nearby. Convenient central location. Safe enough area; mind your own business and loiterers will mind theirs. Anyone I encountered seemed friendly enough.

The only issue I really had was the housekeeping was not cleaning our room. The first night, they made the beds, and replaced the towels, and cleaned. No cleaning or beds making we’re done for the remainder of the stay, with just towels being replaced. We did have to ask for a towel replacement at one point.

Overall satisfied and would stay again.

Semi-clean but overall dirty, outdated, and overpriced. Parking was $120 ($30 a night) to be in an extremely open and dirty parking lot. Homeless will be walking around, screaming, blaring music, and defecting in the parking lot right by your car. It’s close to everything but overall extremely unsafe. Only stay here out of pure necessity. Solo female travelers especially stay away!!!

When I made my reservation, parking on property was quoted as ten dollars per day. Indeed, this was the price I paid last year.

When I arrived to check in, however, I was charged THIRTY dollars per day.

The whole thing felt very \"bait and switch\". It was terribly frustrating, but I had no choice.

Comfy hotel by a noisy street. The outside gives you the illusion it might be kind of shady to stay there but the hotel inside is really nice. The bed was comfy and the shower kept with the hot water after awhile. I would stay there again if I was in the area. My only problem was the hotel charging $35 a night to park in their parking lot. I could understand a smaller fee but charging $70 for two nights was a lot and I just parked a little bit down the block for free.
