We are happy with our stay at Gamma Plaza. The entire hotel is kept quite clean. Someone cleaned our room daily and left water bottles for us every day. The room we had was older but it seems they are currently renovating the rooms. The staff is very friendly and English is spoken by many staff members. It is 10 minutes walk to the beach. Markets for shopping are very close. The premises are very quiet and the pool is enjoyable - there were always chairs available for our use. Downside would be that the gym facility is very basic and the wifi in our room was poor. Better wifi in other areas of the hotel closer to the lobby. Overall, I do recommend this hotel if you’d like a quiet, relaxing stay.

Electricity went off during the evening, staff member (lady) kept misleading guests telling us that maintenance was “on it “ and will restore power in just “a few minutes “ other staff said there was a bigger issue with the city, We could have understood the situation it she could just tell the truth but she became rude and unpleasant when people became anxious. The Power out lasted close to 2 hrs. No big deal except for the stuff member lying and misleading about the situation.

It was very nice. Large pool that separated kids from adults. Friendly staff willing to learn English as well as help speak Spanish. One down fall was they only served breakfast and dinner no lunch. But there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance. And super market was only a 20min walk away. You have ac in rooms as well the hallways had ac. Comfortable beds nice bathrooms. No fridge in room, but said we should have. All and all I would give it an 8.5.

The pool and grounds at the Gamma Plaza are very nice. We were a party of 5 in 3 rooms. All rooms experienced cool, sometime warm but never hot water. All rooms had toilet seats that did not fit the bowl therefore sometimes giving pinches when seated. In one room the electrical plug did not work in the bathroom, no problem in the other 2 rooms. Excluding these issues the rooms are comfortable and I would give the hotel a rating of 3 stars.

Very reasonable prices and good location within easy walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants. Pool very large and looked clean although there could have been more seating and music at times way too loud. Buffet breakfast was great. Would stay here again.

When we got there the Man at the gate was very rude. We saw oranges cones by the entrance and one cone by the exit it was confusing so we stop where the man was standing by the exit and we asked him in a nice way if that was the entrance and he even didn’t let me finish , he was looking at us like a trash and said what is your name? In the mean time we didn’t feel welcome I was driving my sister old car. When he asked where I was coming from and I said US, He try to change his actitud but it was too late because he allready showed his actions.The floor had big scratches I thought it was durty and the bathroom where you put the soap and shampoo was broken and they just provide 1 little bottle of shampoo and one soap no conditioner or body lotion. I was very dessapoint it for what I paid, usually Fiesta inn is one of the best hotels but this one needs more attention. The staffs in the Restaurant don’t even pay attention to the guests we were standing for five minutes at the front, the Hostess was talking the all time until I ask if we can coming. No one attended us we didn’t now who to ask for a coffee some ladies were looking at us and got up and said do you need anything else I believe she was a Manager or supervisor. We had to ask for the check at the front. I don’t recommend at all.

Very clean. Maids were excellent. Staff in restaurant was ok. Kichens were ill equipped. I had to get a pot to cook potatoes it was so damaged it would barely sit on the burner. There were no other pots. Frying pan were teflon, which i couldn't use because of the condition. Over all if i go back i would not pay the extra for a kitchen.

We enjoyed our week at the Gamma Ixtapa! The facility was very clean, the staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Our housekeeper was wonderful, the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and fun towel animals left on the bed. Two bottles of water were left in our room daily. The only downside of the room was the mattress which could use replacing. The pool area is beautiful with lots of vegetation. We ate in the restaurant quite a few times and were never disappointed with the food. The hotel is about a ten minute walk to the beach and a five minute walk to the market. We would definitely return to the Gamma in Ixtapa!

I work for Marriott Corporation and have been in the hotel business since 1979. This hotel is a great price/value and has an incredible staff starting with RICARDO in the restaurant. This young man made our stay and took time to help us with everything from directions to recommendations in the area. The rooms were clean and the AC was great. The housekeeping staff made a nice towel animal in our room one day and they were very friendly. It is not on the beach but has a nice pool and very close to the beach. We will be back! It is a perfect little spot to stay. Very quiet and well taken care of . Very friendly and very accommodating. We have spent some days during our vacation. Free wifi and lots of English channels on the tv. Nice pools there very clean. The location is very handy to walking to restaurants, shopping and to beach .

Very good value. Hotel was clean and comfortable. King sized bed was great. Pool area was nice - water temperature was perfect. Didnt enjoy the music that was played which was "elevator" type music most of the time. Not located on beach and there is little in the way of public beach access in Ixtapa so if that is important, would not be a good location. But as a home base for day trips outside of Ixtapa (snorkeling etc) it worked well for us. About 5 minute walk to many restaurants.

Decent for our 1 night stay, very quiet and not many folks there for being so close to downtown Ixtapa. Totally walkabale to shops, restaurants and bars. Was a little worn in places and had some dust in some spots but overall a solid place. Had an awesome massage for $25 there and the staff was super nice. Not everyone speaks English, not saying that’s a bad thing at all, just don’t expect everyone to be fluent, they were very helpful.

The fire alarm went off every night I stayed there. 2 of the nights, it went off at 2-3am. And they were false alarms! Huge inconvience.

This was our second stay at Gamma. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. There was a little bit of a language barrier, but we all made it work. This hotel is not on the beach. We walked each time we went to the beach, you can also take a quick taxi. The housekeeping staff is great and keep everything very clean. I highly recommend staying at Gamma!

We have stayed at Gamma before in past years and it was fairly well maintained. We stayed in room 630 on this stay. The hallway to our room was dirty and had a hairball in the hallway during the entire stay at Gamma. The hallway needed to be mopped. This room had a mattress that should be thrown in the garbage can. The linens in general were tattered. No hand towels, No washcloths. Only 2 bath towels.

Good clean hotel convenient location
This was our last stay in Mexico, so I crammed our schedule in order to enjoy the final days there. I asked them if we could drop our luggage before check-in time and the issue was resolved before our departure to the trip. When we arrived the hotel, it's even better that we were told we could check-in at 2:00 so we had plenty of time to prepare for the next activity that was booked for 4 pm. I am so glad that we had stayed here. Thank you!

Little gem close to everything
We really enjoyed our stay here. We were only there last year for 2 days enjoyed it so much we stayed 10 days this year . It is just off the main hotel zone area . Big pool area but is in walking distance to beach, restaurants, and shopping. This spot allows you to experience Ixtapa!!! Love it.

My room had a blood stain so they had to change our sheets right away. When you check-in they put a bracelet on your hand and you must always wear it. It’s kind of uncomfortable so my son was kicked out of the pool because he took it off. So he had to go get another one. Location is pretty good. Friendly staff.
