We had a pleasant 2 nite stay and for the price it was great! I was pleasantly surprised that there was a hand held shower in the bathroom which most high end hotels don't even have.
We had an ocean view in front and a nice view of the neighborhood from a large balcony in the back.
Vicki is awesome and was available to assist
with any questions you may have.
All in all it felt like home and parking was free and ample.

We had the room with the full kitchen and let me tell you.... This place is wonderful! It's clean, there are beautiful views. The pics are the views from the front and private patio. You can tell the owner and staff care about the details and they are professional and friendly. The beds are super comfy and the kitchen comes stocked with utensils. Love the pots and pan set! We will be making this our regular mental health retreat. Autism approved 💜

I had a great stay at Studio 1 Motel. Right across from the beach and was a nice room. However the only thing I did not like were the bugs in the room. I totally understand it’s Florida but it just got to be a lot killing multiple bugs each day. Other than that it was fantastic!!

This is definitely a no frills motel. However, The room itself was clean, the beds comfortable, the view amazing, the water pressure in the shower was awesome and the beach just a quick walk right across the street. We did have some trouble with getting our code to get into the room but we messaged the after hours emergency contact number and they messaged back right away and we were able to get in. I would definitely stay here again!

Where to start?
Pros:
Great view with close beach access..
Comfortable beds..
Great location in general..

Cons:
Never got a check in email 24 hours prior with instructions as states on Expedia or door code..
The door code was suppose to be the last 4 of the phone number (it wasn't) it was the door number..
Locks on the door was misaligned and couldn't lock the door at night..
Chain lock inside was held on by 2 loose screws,,
Tv didn't work..
Floors was dirty with a lot of hair..
There was a sign in the cabinet saying there was utensils there was no utensils..
Refrigerator didn't cool properly..
2 towels for 4 people..
No laundry service as pictures showed..
Entertaining area deck was piled high with junk..
Roaches, Roaches, Roaches..

Long story short, finally got management to answer the door ring camera, she never checked our Id's or what vehicle we was in and she finally yelled out the code for all to hear around us leaving us worried every time we would leave thinking someone was going to enter the code they heard and steal our belongings.
Took 3 days to get the tv replaced, she said the one that didn't work was a new tv.(not my problem, it didn't work) and the locks on the door fixed, the gentleman was polite that fixed them an his wife was very nice and got us more towels and washed a couple loads of clothes for us..

I emailed, Texted, Called many times and finally on the 3rd day there was a response.

Do NOT stay here!.

Vicki and the staff at the property were awesome to work with. Check in was simple and quick. When I walked in the room i was very pleased with the decor, and the room itself. It was perfect for my stay. Clean, comfortable and cozy. I found the property on short notice and I was more than pleased. When I'm back in the area I will definitely make plans there.

I like that it was right across from the beach and the price was good. I dislike the check in process. I tried to contact about checking in when I was supposed to but didn’t get a reply until long after, the lady answered the phone and said that she’s sorry she couldn’t find her phone. I will say, it was not dirty inside the room at a good rate.

This review will probably surprise some people because the other reviews were actually very good, which is exactly why we booked it. Still, when you first pull up to the property, you honestly wonder if you made a huge mistake. The outside is definitely not impressive and, at first glance, a little intimidating.

That said, once we got inside, our opinion completely changed.

The rooms were great. Our Queen Deluxe room had recently been remodeled and included a full kitchen, not just a kitchenette. The beds were comfortable, the shower was fabulous, and there were plenty of extra towels, blankets, and pillows already stocked in the room.

Check-in was more similar to a VRBO or Airbnb setup than a traditional hotel, which actually worked out just fine.

One thing we appreciated was that if you smoke, there were two chairs and an ashtray set up outside along the walkway. It was clear they preferred people use those instead of tossing cigarette butts around the property, which we respected.

We are an older couple, and our neighbors were as well, so we ended up sitting outside in the evenings having drinks and talking together, which made for a really relaxing atmosphere.

The “beach view” from the reviews was not exactly what we pictured, but the beach was directly across the street with an open lot between, so you could still see the sunrise over the ocean perfectly.

Our unit also had a private back porch with seating, which was another nice surprise.

It’s really tough to post a detailed review without actually seeing the room itself. We receives a message early in the day that they had downgraded our original booking to a room w/o a kitchen. No big deal, it happens. We arrived to check in at approximately 5:30. We called the number posted for check in/help as we never received a text with door codes, WiFi, etc that morning as was communicated would happen. Called three times with no answer. Called Expedia and they tried to call the property and received no answer. We booked another hotel while sitting in the parking lot and left. The great news is that at least the hotel still charged us for the stay since the cancellation window had passed. Please use the money you charged to at least clean the exterior of your building and take new pictures for Expedia that accurately reflect the condition.

Room was good, except for bathroom area. Clean, but toilet ran the whole stay, and the shower, thats another story. So squeaky, and rattled so much the pipes sounded like they were gonna come thru the wall. Dont bother with the 45 seconds of hot water, then nothin but cold water. Great location, and rooms are nice. Bathroom definitely needs some work.

It was across the street from the beach, and you could see the ocean. The room appeared clean but the floor was very dirty, it was obvious when the bathroom floor got wet our shoes left black dirt all on the floor towel and my shoes were black on the bottom. We had to take our own trash out. No ice machine available. Parking was horrible, and no handicap parking it was taken up by a pickup and trailer, which trailers were not to be parked there. The banister on the porch was dirty. They had permanent residents living there that would block off the parking spaces. The shower had great water pressure. Window in bathroom was broke could not lock and there was a patio balcony off of it. had to wedge hanger to keep it from someone opening it. They provided coffee maker but didnt really heat up, had to go buy one. You put your dirty towels outside the door and they would leave clean ones in the chair. No wifi, and TV was streaming and couldnt get channels to come in.

Our room was different than what we booked. Staff corrected it immediately. Room was clean. Although the rooms were nonsmoking every resident seemed to smoke. It smelled terrible. Even the woman putting clean laundry away in the linen room was smoking. The room was drafty and seemed to have no temp control. The motel seems to be mostly full time residents. There are also about 10+ cats on the property. Cat poop is everywhere and it stinks. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Beach: We could see the ocean which was nice. But the access to the beach is currently blocked, which would have been nice to know beforehand.

Beds: The room was nice and seemed clean even though many of the locks and fixtures were old and well-used. The beds were updated and clean, which is very important.

Kitchen: We didn't end up using the kitchen. But it was nice and clean. And they had some dishes, dish rack, soap and a cleaning sponge, and paper towels nicely available.

Internet: We had no tv service and no wifi, which was a bit frustrating (we did not try to contact management about it).

Check-in: We had issues getting the entry code, as our check-in instructions said it withdrawn be emailed in the morning. Instead we got a TEXT message with the code (but I didn't see it until the next day, as I kept checking my email and the Expedia app, since I'd booked through Expedia.) They also didn't hear my phone call nor see my message through Expedia. But thankfully we were able to get the code through the video doorbell at the property and they were polite. But it was a stressful check in. Wish I would have known to check my phone text messages.

Parking: The lot was small and there were only a couple spots to pick from when we got there... but we did get a spot.

We would consider staying here again. 🙂

The unit is nice and roomy for an old building. It’s convenient to many venues. But…the access code for the unit did not work, so I waited 20 minutes in the cold for someone to let me in; I was promised a new code but never got one. There isn’t a secure lock on the back door. I never found a switch for the kitchen lights, so they were on all night. There wasn’t a hair dryer. I spotted two different types of bugs at night. For the above reasons, I didn’t sleep well. When I awoke, a bug crawled onto my sheet. That was it. I canceled and moved to another motel.

Issue that I have with the whole stay is that the hotel business is cutting us out of a whole 24hr room stay. Check in times are getting later and later and check in times are getting earlier and earlier. Besides that is the only issues with my specific room is the toilet had flushing issues and hardly any tv stations worked. The hotel itself is a nice little spot for the price

The pictures are just a little deceptive because the property is across the street from the water but nevertheless, I would highly recommend it. Clean, comfortable, a little kitchenette and for the price – awesome. Even a brand-new roll of paper towels (still in the wrapper) on the kitchen counter. But internet problems; the 1st night all was good but the 2nd night the parking lot was full and the internet was ridiculously slow and which also killed the TV, just a spinning circle. If you’re wanting to spend a stupid amount of money on ocean front, then go across the street. But if you are willing to tolerate the internet speed and want the best of both worlds then book this. Oh, and a mile or so from the party district.
