We had the time of our lives. We stayed the Daytona Beach Resort for the celebration of 250 Years of American Independence, we didn’t leave the resort, everything we needed was right there. Great food, great environment, great staff!!!! Beautiful room. The beachfront resort has something for everyone. I can’t wait to go back! I highly recommend!

Hotel was nice and staff very friendly. We had fun… my only concern is the large amount of people that seem to come in from the beach just to use the pool. This isn’t being monitored. Also people settings towels down at 6am on pool lounge chairs then they leave for hours and therefore taking away from other people to be able to use.

This hotel is right off the beach which we loved. The staff during the checkin process was friendly and helpful. Both the breakfast buffet and lunch we ordered from the restaurant was delicious and affordable for my party of 4. The room was clean and I loved the ocean view. An unexpected cold front came during our stay but we were still able to enjoy the pool and beach on Saturday. Loved the free s’mores kit provided each night. And the bar drinks were good. Definitely coming back when the sun is shining to enjoy the beach more. Thank you!

The facility to rent a chair and umbrella at the beach price was good. The outdoor pool too small and too many children unable to enjoy the pool. The check in was 59 minutes waiting due to a leak on the shower, that after the 50min not able to fix the water leak, to sleep at night we have to closed the bathroom door because the leak was very loud. They did not offer another room. Room was clean . I noticed on the shower will need very good crub mold growing and on the balcony need good crub on the rail green mold on it. Great resort for family with children.

Fantastic view from my King bed balcony room! Only passing through for one night, but my room was ready early so I was able to check in early and pay a little extra for late check out. Pool, hot tub, and Tiki bar were all wonderful! The only suggestion for them is to renovate the room carpet and fix some of the water spots on the ceiling in the rooms. It's very well kept, but could benefit from room updates soon I think. The lobby is gorgeous! Will definitely be back in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Shores Resort & Spa. It was our first time visiting Daytona Beach instead of our usual trips to Miami, and the oceanfront location exceeded our expectations. We loved waking up each morning to stunning views of the Atlantic and watching the sunrise right from our room. The beach is just steps away, making it incredibly convenient to head out whenever we wanted.

The service was excellent throughout, with friendly and attentive staff who made everything run smoothly. What stood out most, though, was how warm and welcoming everyone in Daytona was. Coming from Miami, we were genuinely taken aback by the genuine Southern hospitality and friendliness.

We would happily return and recommend The Shores for anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway with great views and service.

The hotel is nice and the room was clean but I was disappointed because not only did I book this room over a room another property that was just as nice, in the same area, and cheaper but I decided to go with hotel because of its amenities but I chose this oceanfront room but it was an oceanfront view room. The room windows didn’t open and the room didn’t have a balcony you book oceanfront to not only view the ocean but to enjoy the sound and the breeze from the ocean. I spoke with the front desk and was advised that the windows only open on floors 1-6 and being that I was on the 7th floor the windows didn’t open. Upon check out I was advised that the information was incorrect and that I needed to book an oceanfront room with a balcony. The upgrade to oceanfront in my opinion was a waste of money and in addition to that the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great and the shower doesn’t come with a sliding glass door or a shower curtain it’s just a stationary glass so you’re literally freezing while you take a shower.

Lovely, helpful staff.
Nice room's. One bathroom was old and just old...
The second room had a nice, clean bath.
Deck furniture was grubby, but I assume all upholstery is generally grubby, carpet too.
Outside foliage had died and been cut back, so all the trash was visable. We cleaned it up ourselves. That grossed me out a little...
There is access to the pool deck from the street and the beach, so folks are marching in with their chairs, umbrellas, coolers, strollers etc., and hogging all the chairs. Even got up early to save a chair, and alas...If I were a sunworshiper I'd have gone ballistic!
Surprisingly good food at the poolside bar with excellent service and big(expensive) drinks.
Great beach views, almost got swept out to sea. Don't recommend for kids or the weak swimmer.
I give it a 5 for staff and a 3 for maintainance.

Liked:
great size room with an amazing view

Didn’t like:
no chairs provided for the beach with many resort fees added to a room rate, poor quality food and service at the restaurant on the property with sad and unhelpful staff; long reception lines; long wait for elevators; overpriced;

Verdict:
next time will stay elsewhere with same amazing view and lower or similar rates;

Suggestions to the Owner:
Consider lowering rates or
Consider review pay rates to your employees at reception and restaurant or
Consider change and update hiring policies for overall employee force and specifically restaurant and reception at the hotel to increase customer satisfaction

This is our second stay at this resort. You can’t go wrong with this property. Right on the beach, top tier staff (all but one gentleman in the restaurant). We REALLY enjoyed Doug at the tiki bar. So pleasant, great drinks, and he even remembered our room number! The pool was perfect, hot tub was relaxing, we booked a wonderful massage in the spa, and the beach was immaculate! We splurged for the terrace room- and it absolutely did NOT disappoint! Our housekeeper was Brenda, and she made sure everything was top notch when we arrived. I read other reviews that the outside furniture was “filthy” so I was prepared to file a complaint, lol. Not the case! We spent more time on the terrace than in our room. Can’t say enough great things about this property. Loved every second, and can’t wait to return!! Thank you The Shores!

I liked that it was steps from the beach. The room I chose was ocean view. The room #508 was terrible the door to where the fridge was located was broken. The phone did not work, there was a disgusting big yellow stain on my bed covers. The TV cabinet was very dirty. I went back down to front desk and they changed my room so I had to take all my belongings to the 9th floor. It was very inconvenient and I wasted a lot of time. The room was a little better but they need to clean better. The bathroom shower had mold n mildew. I think this place is way over rated. I don’t think I would stay there again.

The ocean/ beach was amazing, however our room was not. The smell of Marijuana was so strong. We asked for another room and after an hour of waiting we decided to keep because we opened sliding doors to balcony for rest of our 2 day stay. We have been coming here for 15 years and decided to celebrate our 21st anniversary. Thankfully, the weather was excellent so we stayed out as much as possible. I asked for manager and to this day, have not been called and no type of credit or apology for our inconvenience. Paying $300+ per night I expect better service. Still, thankful there are many other resorts to choose from. The views were amazing.

We checked in for two reserved nights and at the time of check in I asked if we could reserve the room for an extra night and check out on Monday instead of Sunday. I was told we could and that it was all set up. So Sunday we went about our morning as planned and much to my dismay I get a phone call shortly after noon asking why we had not removed our things and we did not request a late check out either. So I told the lady that we indeed did reserve the room for another night and we were told so when we checked in. She told me again that we had not and asked me who I checked in with like it was my fault they made a mistake and took no accountability what so ever for their error. We were over half an hour away and had to leave the event to go get our things. To say I was pissed off is an understatement. I do not recommend and will not come back to this property due to the unprofessional way this was handled.

Where to begin. Check in was wonderful. After that problems began. Toilet was mini frig were broken and had to be fixed. We went to dinner and the waitress was incompetent. First, she got our appetizer wrong. Then she brought out my fries 20 minutes before my burger and the correct appetizer. We were trying to enjoy a nice dinner and this table was screaming like they were in a sports arena. Waitress did nothing to make any of this right. On top of that my medium burger was well done, burnt, and disgusting. For the amount of money and our only vacation in two years, I’m disappointed. Rest assured I won’t recommend or be back. Even though I had called ahead and was told it was no problem and be written in my reservation to be no higher than the 4th floor due to issue with heights.
