The front desk agent was nice, but the room was dirty, only had 2 towels and 1 wash cloth for 3 people for 2 days, asked for more but front desk said they didn’t have any more. Only 1 outlet worked in the bedroom area and it was behind the night stand and falling out of the wall. Sliding door to balcony broken and wouldn’t lock, bed was broken. Stove and refrigerator were dirty, rusted.

No one on staff 24 hours. My room door was open when I came late at night. There were crumbs on the floor and bugs and I didn’t bring any food. My door had a piece missing and you could see light thru it. The walls had spackle on them but no paint. For $225 a night I would never stay there again.

Giving this property an over all 3 because the staff was very nice and the view was spectacular. We had to book this last minute because our original accommodations were cancelled by the host last minute for no reason. The hotel is very run down and old. It has a lot of potential but the owner doesn’t seem to care about updating or maintaining the property.

Do NOT book this property it is the worse place I have ever been to. Roaches everywhere, hasn’t been cleaned in months. False advertisement with the pool photo that’s not theirs it’s the hotel beside them. Bed frame and box springs broken and not even the correct size. Random liquids in a cup left behind in the sink. No proper drain in the tub. The ceiling was drooping so bad due to flooding from the room above. People outside passed out in vehicles. Kids running around with machetes. VERY UNSAFE CONDITIONS

CONTACT DIVISION OF HOTELS AND RESTAURANTS!!!!! We did not stay on the property longer then 12 minutes and were refused a refund at this time. I advise anyone to contact Border patrol, code enforcement, divisions of hotels and restaurants along with filing a suit for theft of service. This place is a scam, horrible conditions, mold, vomit, urine alllll over the entire room. Mattresses were brown. Then the staff tells you that you will be granted a refund and then denies it. Then they refuse to answer the phone. I have contacted every name listed above and have multiple pending investigations, Let’s not forget to mention the amount of drugs on the property. DO NOT STAY!!! Also the Expedia will only send you a $100 credit and state that’s all they can do.

I booked this room and less then an hour later tried to move the date as i booked the wrong weekend. This weekend was prom and i hit the wring one. The hotel would not even respond to a message to even move the date let along a refund. Any response would have been curtious even if it was a no to everything . They simply ingnored me as well as the website i booked through.
I sent several messages and no one would even respond. I find this very rude. I deserve at least a response. Yes, my mistake. I wanted to surprise my wife after all the stress of our daughter going through chemo and simply booked the wrong date that happened to be my sons prom.i tried to correct within 1 hr. Make sure u know who u book with some people have no sympathy. Even if they were gonna tell me no to everything i at least deserve a respone if ur gonna take my money for nothing.Terrible

DO NOT BOOK HERE! The gentleman at the front desk that checked us in was very nice. But the hotel is run down, dirty and we felt very unsafe. We did not end up staying the night there. We booked 2 rooms, the first room, the lights did not work, the second room, the front desk attendant could not find the keys for, so he gave us the \"master\" key, and said don't lose it. When we approached the room, the lights were on inside, but the key did not work. We left to find somewhere safer to stay. I would not recommend it to anyone. They would not give us a refund, and hotels.com could not help getting us a refund.

They really need to update and lots of maintenance the place. The sink and shower/tub kept clogging up. Sheets were stained. We had a couple of outlets not working, and one of the outlets burned my hairdryer (smoke was coming out). Bugs / cockroaches in the bathroom. It is not worth the stay

Literally the worst place we’ve ever stayed at. We checked in at 3pm and had to check out at 330pm. Straight up crack heads everywhere. The room door wouldn’t lock so it wasn’t safe to even go to the beach with our belongings inside. The sliding glass door was inoperable. Could not open it but thankfully the meth fueled front desk worker said they have a “stick” in the door so know one else could open it either. The worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at. We’d give negative stars if it were an option. Do not bring children here. Very unsafe.

We survived!! Sketchy but cheapest place by a long shot. They have long term tenants. Parking is crowded. Very old school hotel (which i like) this place has the potential to be great again if management could renovate. TV didnt work but front desk helped. The insides were 1970’s. The door had about one inch gap under door. We had the best room in the whole location, top floor sea front room overlooking the pool and ocean. Pool didn’t run and pool heater hadnt run in years but people were swimming in it!! AC worked great and the Hot water was wonderful. The sheets were brand new literally! The towels were also just out of the package. I would love to see this place renovated and made into a historical retro hotel.

You had to work at it to get the balcony door open, there was zero ice, and there was zero hot water, fridge barely works and tv was small. There was no way to plug the tub up so my daughters could take a bath and black mold everywhere. Overall a horrible experience.

This place is so run down, neglected, and outdated that giving it 0 stars feels generous. It's only saving grace was the guy working the front desk during the day. There wasn't a single thing that wasn't in disrepair or straight up not functional both in the room and on the property.

physical key (I've literally seen better locks on a home residence bathroom door), deadbolt was just the lever without an actual deadbolt in the door, no chain or other interior door security, peephole in door was simply a hole full of condensation, most of the electrical outlets didn't work, ceiling fan didn't work, bathroom fan didn't work, smoke alarm didn't work, TV remote missing, TV was smaller than most computer monitors, missing flooring, rusty bathroom mirror, rusty & broken sink, cracked and broken bathtub tiles, toilet had little flushing force, bathtub was over ankle deep during a 3 minute
shower due to slow drain, more water coming out of tub fill faucet than shower during shower, no drain plug/stopper for sink, bath towels were barely 36\" long, balcony sliding door was barely functional and the \"lock\" was a piece of wood in the door frame, beach access gate lock broken, beach access stairs sit at a crazy angle

The place was filthy. Black mold. Hair everywhere. Bathroom sink clogged. Dried food and sauces on tables. Broken tiles. Gum stuck on a tile. Feet stuck to the floor. Towels had stains all over them. Paint anywhere outside the lines apparently. With fees I spent $570 for two nights. Price gouging due to the Daytona 500 for a place that should be condemned. I should be reimbursed. Took a 6 minute video and I’m ready to send it to the health department of that county. I have bites on my body, I better not have taken bed bugs home with me. Absolutely disgusting room. Amazing they are allowed to operate. I’d rather sleep in the woods. Saw another reviewer say it should be condemned. 100 percent correct. Any positive reviews have to be fake. No other possible explanation. Negative 10 review.

That place needs to be bulldozed down! I could write a book about how awful it is. The roof leaks, the bathtub felt like it would fall through the floor, the sliding glass door did not lock and we had to manually pick the door up to open it, the front door lock was so bad that someone could easily just pull it open, the heater did not work, the floors stay damp and slippery, and it just felt gross! The staff was very nice, polite, and friendly!

The room was not up to standard. It’s a no smoking room and had a full ashtray behind the dresser. The floor between the beds was filthy with debris on the floor. The hood vent to the stove was full and needed replacing the doors were print and dirt stained. The deadbolt was rusted and showing the internal parts. When brought to the management/owner the team became defensive. The next morning we got apologies and were asked to show the housekeeping team what our issues were.they were told I am allergic to cigarette smoke so I wa pretty miserable. Once they were shown the issues it was repaired but we were only there 3 nights. No room switch was offered l. We appreciated the attention but it could have been looked at immediately and we later learned there were other rooms to switch to.

The looked deteriorated. There was rust on the appliances, mold and dirt behind the night stand. The door to the room was horribly scuffed, the locks rickety.
The staff was polite and kind, but I couldn’t stay in a place that felt dirty. I checked in, grabbed my luggage and checked right back out after looking at the room less than 30 minutes later.

I don’t know how this place can stay open publicly with how run down and neglected it is.

No one to check in with. Sign said back in ten, which they were. No real hotel sign outside:( desk clerk was nice & polite. Room stank of something. Walls are paper thin. Main door only had lock and key with deadbolt. But door was rotted out on bottom. Sliding door to beach, would not slide. Once opened prayed to get it shut. Fridge rusted on front no outlets available for recharging Could go on. It is an antiquated hotel which needs lots of rehab for a good price on the beach.

This place is an absolute dump. We reserved two rooms. Both were deplorable. After check in we were informed the property had no hot water. The elevator was broken and the property overall is dirty and unkept. We arrived to our room with a door that was barely able to lock. The ceiling fan broken, patio door handle falling off on the inside and completely missing from the outside, the sliding door wouldn’t open wider than 6 inches, then wouldn’t close, tiles along the balcony were crushed with cement pieces and rocks visible underneath, and the room smelled heavy of stale cigarettes. When my husband went to the office to tell them how disgusting the room was we were given no options. We decided to leave after being there no more than 20min. After loading up our cars and kids, the office staff member came out and offered to switch our rooms. We explained filthy and unsafe the property is and denied the room change; considering no rooms on property had hot water.

This place makes hotels.com look bad. It was easily the worst hotel experience we have ever had and almost ruined our day. Thankfully we found another hotel (Perry’s) which was wonderful.

The two male front desk clerks were very nice! But the hotel is TROUBLE! The refrigerator leaked water from the top into the bottom which ruined food we had. There were cockroaches the sliding glass door didn’t shut all the way. We ran out to bath tissue and had to buy some because the front office was closed the tv way leaning the floors were dirty! The front desk guy was super nice, speedy check in. We went to our room and immediately found German cockroaches in the kitchen area, coming out from the sink drain and behind the tile. Walking further into the room, I pulled back the comforter and noticed ants in the bed. The plaster on the ceiling above the bed looks to be falling. Holes in the walls. I didn’t expect much for $65 but I don’t expect bugs in any room I pay for. We were there for all of maybe 10 minutes before going back to the desk and checking out.

the tub dont drain and water backs up into the sinks and tubs . The light and fab didnt work and the air conditioner made a loud noise and hardly cooled the room. The view of the beach was pretty good, I didn't like that the balconies were so close together though. The room itself was not the greatest. The sliding door to the balcony was very hard to slide open and it didn't close all the way or lock properly so there was a stick in the track to keep it from being opened from the outside. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable and there was a pink stain on the corner of one of them. The tv kept randomly turning off throughout the day and night for a good 2 or 3 minutes then would turn back on. The shower pressure was nice but the temperature wasn't consistent and the drainage was not good. There were a couple of tiles that had a piece broken and loose. Honestly there was rust everywhere. Even the front office outside looks like its falling apart. The pictures online made it look a lot nicer than it actually was. All in all it wasn't great. We probably won't be going back there.

This place should be torn down. The rooms are filthy, outdated, bug ridden and uninhabitable. The elevator doesn’t work. I had to carry multiple bags up 3 flights of stairs. The bedding and furniture were old and stained like it was taken off a trash pile. The bathroom was so grimey to where I would be safer fully dressed using the shower. I had to have my room switched because the AC in the first one was not working. In the second room there was a sliding glass door that was difficult to open because it was raggedy and off track so I had to force it open in order to get on the balcony. The appliances were filthy to the point where I did not want to put any food anywhere near it. The straw that broke the camels back was when I pulled the blanket back, and there were bedbugs and ants running across the comforter and the sheets. I immediately went to the office to complain because I refuse to stay there. I would never recommend anyone stay here. I also will be discontinuing using hotels.com because they do not have any safeguards for customers in these situations. My Labor Day weekend was ruined. The only positive thing was the night janitor Johnny who tried his best to accommodate me. He was very nice and empathetic. When speaking to the front desk clerk named Lee the next morning about my refund, he was very rude and condescending like he was the one inconvenienced. Needless to say that I was denied a refund for this unpleasant and inconvenient experience. Very disappointed.

The door didnt properly close or lock. The back sliding glass door only locked from wedging a stick in. Killed several roaches in the room. Sheets werent even cleaned. One pillow case had blood on it. The tv didnt work when we first got there however the maintenance guy took care of that. The continental breakfast that supose to start at 8am only consisted of outdated cereal bars,blueberry muffins, and strawberry poptarts. When i asked about coffee the guy said very rudely \" you just saw me walk in so how could i have any coffee ready?\" It was already 8:30 by then. It was overall horrible and gross. Most of the people that were already there were smoking alot of weed at the pool and drunk teenagers.

This hotel unfortunately was very dilapidated and has not been maintained. There was peeling paint and mole on the walls. Furniture was damaged and dirty, bathroom was gross, dirty tub, resting, etc. It’s honestly shocking that they have people to stay there.

You get what you pay for. It’s in the beach but an older motel and as such needs updating, worst for me was ac was not able to cool room and tub filled up when showering and packing is tight but for a night it’s okay

Disgusting

Used thong hanging from bathroom handle mu 8yr old son saw. AC unit broken. Towels had dirt, fingerprints and mascara on them. Outside, the 90 degree weather was better than inside the room. Floors sticky. Broken everything. Very sketchy. Maintenance man was called and almost broke the door down with how aggressive his knock was. Front desk said nothing they could do but give us a box fan.

Never going here again

The hotel looks like it needs to be remodeled. However it does have potential. The front entrance has major damage to the foyer. Looks like it could fall down at any moment. The room we had smelled horrible. The walls were dirty with holes in it. The couch looked like it was taken from the trash. It was horrible. But the check in person was very nice and hospitable. They need to fix things up better.

Im glad this hotel is helping the less fortunate find a place to live. I was in that predicament about 2 years ago. The staff is very humble and kudos to being a source of relief to Volusia County! The beach is amazing!
