I thought the food was good for an all inclusive, 8 out of 10 and if you get the preferred club, the food up at the preferred pool is th best in the resort. I didn't care for the dark room, so bring a make-up mirror for that and there is only 1 outlet in the bathroom, don't bring heels as I saw plenty of people fall on the cobblestone walkway, also it was different at this resort that they did not have a bunch of liquor in your room. You can order a drink on room service. The resort pools are Amazing and lots of options for busy fun pool or quiet pools. The evening bar and entertainment is really good. Loved the dancing and sports bar. The room size was nice and the bed was kind of hard but I think it was memory foam which some people like.

The resort has beautiful features, such as the grounds and buildings. The lay of the room was nice, bathroom was clean. Food was generally very good and my husband and I loved a few meals we had (Observatory lunch and Ember). There were several issues that stand out from our stay at Secrets:

- the power went out 3 times during the week we were there. The power went out at night so the A/C shut off and the room was warm. When the power came back on, all the lights in the room turned on.

- there is a strong sulphur smell throughout the resort, likely related to water treatment (we noticed this in the shower, at the spa, and even from the toilet).

- we had paid extra to stay in a swim out pool room with the preferred club membership. Our pool was cold and when we asked the concierge, they insisted that they were not able to turn up the heat. This was such a disappointment as my husband and I loved our evening swims when we went to Atelier and were hoping to enjoy this at Secrets Moxche.

- lastly, there were details with resort maintenance, such as piles of dirty towels, stained plastic wear, and staff members telling us we cannot reserve beach chairs.

For the above reasons, we felt the stay at Secrets Moxche was average and we will not be returning. For a similar price, Atelier offers a luxury experience without these issues and we will likely be returning there.

Went here for a birthday trip with a girlfriend. The resort itself is beautiful. I would say the service and the food were just okay. We were given hour+ long wait times for dinner at the restaurants without the option of making reservations. We weren’t asked for drink orders at the pool or beach very often, and if we did get someone to wait on us the drinks took a while. Overall we did have a good time, but service could have been better.

The suite had plenty of space with a nice shower, proper toilet room and a spacious terrace with a great view of the resort and beach.

Beautiful resort! The room had an amazing view with a huge balcony. The food at all the resort restaurants was delicious. Sometimes the wait for a table at the restaurants was excessive, 1.5 hours+. I wish reservations had been available. Pools were cold, but clean. Loved the area with the 3 hot tubs, plenty of room for everyone. The beach area was clean; however, the swimming area was small. But also clear and clean. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

The property itself is beautiful and the staff when you could find them were great. But the hotel is understaffed and doesn’t have enough space to properly feed people. Expect to wait 10-20mins to be seated for breakfast and if you don’t line-up at 5:30 before the restaurants open at 6, you’ll end up waiting 2-3 hours to be seated.

The pools and grounds are beautiful, the beach left much to be desired and finding a seat at the pool or the beach is almost as challenging as eating.

There’s plenty of beautiful 5 star resorts out there, I’d skip this one and enjoy another.

The front activity pool filter was not good, dirty water coming out of jets. The restaurant situation is the worst I’ve ever seen. Some nights there was 45 tables ahead of us. We got seated at 10:30pm. Open up a nightly buffet, we were so disappointed in this, probably won’t return. I’ve been here 2 times and it wasn’t this way. We love the resort, it’s beautiful, that was only concerns. We had a great visit.

Our stay overall was good, I was expecting more for the price to be honest. The building is already showing wear and tear even though it is newer. None of the elevators were ever fully functional while we were there and for our room we can only access using it one set. Getting to and from our room took forever, because one whole tower was sharing one elevator our entire stay.

We got bamboozled at check in to go through the properties “unlimited” rewards program presentation and we had to repeatedly say no to three different people that we were not interested. The pressure to sign up was very uncomfortable. The presentation also was only supposed to last 90 minutes and it went 3 hours.

When you eat at the steakhouse, you have to purchase steak and lobster, it is not included. The lobster tail was $110 which seemed a little expensive.

The speakeasy in the pharmacy could have been really fun but it smelt like throw up immediately when you walked in. The smell was very overwhelming.

The shows at night were underwhelming. It was the same group of people doing slightly different things each night. The lead female singer is very talented and has an amazing voice.

The pools were nice but the spots fill up fast and they don’t seem to have enough space for both Secrets and Impressions guests to use the pools.

The food overall was ok, nothing spectacular.

Our room was great and housekeeping did a wonderful job.

The spa was great and our massages were super relaxing.

From the moment we arrived it was clean and luxury. Even their daily cleans of the room were comprehensive. Special shoutout to the free activities at the beach (paddle boarding, kayaking, hobie cat, and others) the staff there were so helpful on knowledge surrounding the area. The lagoon all the way to the last pool were wonderful and provided a variety of calm to liveliness. The Cenotes were noticeably heated. I chose this resort specifically to have an all inclusive with good food and it was great. I could rave on and on about every detail, there was not one thing I would change.

This is by far the most amazing place to stay. Everyone is so amazingly kind and welcoming and it’s refreshing to be in such a beautiful place with amazing rooms, great pools, and some of the best beachfront views and sand I’ve ever walked on. Hands down would recommend to anyone because nothing compares to the amazing rooftop pool, amazing food and great drinks and even the amazing nightclub and theater! 10/10 very pleasant time!

I have been to so many resorts in Mexico and this facility, the staff and the ambience were the best we have experienced, no question. We will be back. I loved the food and that the options and times for food were so plentiful.
Janeth, our concierge, was incredibly helpful and so kind.
Eddie, our housekeeper, kept our room so beautiful and was so sweet.
Benito, our server, was so funny and helpful- and super fast!
Rosario and Carmen are both so sweet and made me feel welcome and like I was their friend getting coffee.

El hotel está hermoso! Pero la comida falla muchísimo! No está rica la comida, se quedan sin ingredientes básicos como Nutella, jamón, queso, granola. La comida para lo que es el hotel no hace congruencia. Está muy mala.. el único restaurante rico es el francés. El restaurante de la comida italiana es un insulto a la cocina italiana. Me dieron un spaghetti horrible, caldoso, nada de consistencia, frío y hasta agruras nos dieron. Muy mala calidad la comida. De lo demás esta excelente. Solo algunas personas del staff poco amigables. La verdad no volvería. Hay otros hoteles más económicos y mucho mejor calidad

We loved the different pools available at the resort and the service was wonderful. The resort could improve in the consistency of vegan options, especially because they advertise a vegan menu at many restaurants. We would have loved to see a vegan protein option like tofu at the buffet and would appreciate the prepared foods at the buffet being clearly marked as vegan because it was hard to tell how things were prepared. We also found that items marked as vegan on the menu at restaurants were occasionally reported to us as containing dairy, so we lost some confidence in the vegan menu options. We ordered the vegan burger from room service twice and it came with different ingredients, which also made us wonder whether it was consistently being prepared vegan. We would also love to see a vegan dessert option at the CoCo cafe other than sorbet. Plant based milk was readily available and we had several delicious meals here, but making a few changes to those areas would have made it an exceptional stay for us!

Real review from someone who’s been to over 20 all-inclusives!

This resort is truly a foodie’s paradise. If you’ve been to other all-inclusives, you know the food is usually just okay — but not here. Every meal was impressive. At night, you’ll find little food stands like a taco truck, a fruit-and-crepe cart, and even a fresh juice station. Everything tastes fresh and made with care.

There are plenty of restaurants, and none require reservations, which I loved — though be prepared for a bit of a wait during busy times (we waited up to two hours once). It’s not a big deal though; you can grab a drink and hang out until your table is ready.

The resort itself is stunning. There are so many pools and quiet corners that it never feels crowded. The steakhouse was a highlight — the bone marrow tartare and ceviche were incredible.

We had an oceanfront room. The view was nice, but the beach itself isn’t the typical turquoise-blue water you’d expect from Cancun — so if you’re coming for the beach, keep that in mind. You definitely trade a “wow” beach for amazing food and resort quality here.

We also upgraded to the Preferred Club. The main perks were a private check-in area with snacks, and access to the rooftop pool and restaurant, which were both worth it for the quieter vibe and great service.

Overall, we loved our stay and will only book Secrets Resorts moving forward. Highly recommend for couples who value great food, great service, and a relaxing, upscale atmosphere.

Secrets Moxché was hands down one of the most incredible resort experience I’ve ever had! I had an amazing 5 day stay filled with amazing experiences. Upon arriving to the property I was greeted with smiles, warm welcomes of home from the staff, a great glass of champagne, a cool towel that smelled like pure bliss! I was started my check in process with Jael (who was amazing!) . My check-in was very smooth, Jael explained the various dining options, pool locations, keyless entry, ad had my room ready! When I entered by room I was extremely happy to see that the pictures did not disappoint. My room was clean, AC was nice and cold and my tropical view was nothing short of amazing. I decided to have a quick bit a Seasoul and enjoyed the first of many delicious meals. The restaurant was very clean, the staff was warm and welcoming and the food was fresh! After lunch I headed to the main pool and met Nicolas, who ended up being my go to pool bartender along with his two co-workers for my entire stay! The drinks were refreshing and I did not have a long wait. I had dinner at Bisou with Arnado as my server. He recommended so great options for me such as the mussels, salmon, and an amazing dessert made of chocolate and raspberries! I ended my night listening to smooth sounds of the live band located at Bamboo (while I can't remember their names, they definitely set the mood for a relaxing evening under the stars)! I also tried the Ember steakhouse ( Miguel was great)!

I had a brand new very expensive cologne left at the property & they did not notify me that i left it behind nor did they call me back after i realized i had left it there

I called about 5 times asking for it and they gave me the run around.

One lady said she would ask and call me right back.

The cologne isnt only expensive it was a gift for my birthday & was brand new.

I really wish they would of owned up or tried to make it right. They did neither.

The property, food, service, and pools were all top tier and I have nothing but good things to say.

One thing I didn’t like was that there was construction going on every day besides sunday on the Impressions roof top, which sucked because we had to pay extra to be there on that roof top. We actually ended up staying on the preferred roof top more often because there was no construction. Another thing that isn’t great is the smell of sea weed (although this is not the fault of secrets). One final thing that is not great about the resort is the beach. If you are looking for a nice beach, go to a different resort. Nobody was on the beach, and we didn’t stay at all at the beach.

The resort was very safe and the staff very welcoming. Our butlers and waiters were the best service I have had at a resort.

However, there was one event that made my wife feel extremely uncomfortable. During dinner one night, one of the servers was staring and whistling at my wife. I had found out after the fact, and raised the concern to one of our butlers. They assured us that this incident would be investigated, but we never heard back. This really bummed us out.

Overall, I give it a 4/5 for the resort. It really was a nice resort and we enjoyed our time (besides the incidents that I highlighted above).

Nearly all the food was amazing, great flavor, great portions, great presentation! (The scallops at the hibachi were not fully cooked). The rooms were gorgeous, although a tad dark. But that was just fine for setting a romantic mood. The only negative is the beach was full of seaweed and the water pretty dark. It's just too bad that such an amazing property doesn't have the beautiful blue water to go along with it.

It was everything I hoped it would be and more. The resort is absolutely stunning! There are so many pools and they were all incredible. Tons of restaurants and food options and everything we ate was amazing! The staff members are all so wonderful and helpful, they really try to know you and remember your orders and preferences. We never went without because everyone is so attentive and quick to be helpful. I literally can’t say enough good things - we will definitely be back!
