The staff was great, but the room was not maintained at all - the light in the bathroom was blinking, the blinds were torn, and a lot of light came into the eyes in the morning, and the bed was placed in front of the entrance door - which created a lot of light from outside.
The breakfast is not good as at the other atlas hotels and in general - I wouldnt say this is a boutiq hotel, this is an ok hotel but not more than that and definatily not the same level as other atlas hotels I tried.

Unsafe hotel, stay away

This hotel is a disgrace, and shouldn't really be listed on hotels.com or on any other booking site.

The main issue is that this hotel employs aggressive people with zero service mentality, some of whom could easily be mistaken for common criminals.

I suffered an incident involving a hotel employee who shouted at me and berated me, and even chased me out of the hotel. When I spoke to the manager about the incident, I quickly understood that, as the saying goes, the fish stinks from the head. The manager showed zero compassion, used aggressive tones himself, and didn't really believe any part of the story. After he spent a day \"investigating\" and found that that everything I said was true, he came back to me with \"the employee meant well\". That's it. The employee meant well when he shouted at me, falsely accusing me of hitting another car in the hotel's parking garage.

Somehow, this barbaric and entirely unaacceptable treatment seems like it's no big deal to Management.

Beyond this traumatic incident, the room's AC barely worked (a major issue in the Tel Aviv summer), the breakfast was overpriced and the parking is extremely limited.

Long story short: Don't stay here if you value your safety or if you are looking for any sort of hospitality, service or even civil treatment.

TL:DR - Avoid this hotel if you value your safety. It is dangerous.

My initial impression from this hotel was generally positive - its modern and in a pretty good location with reasonable rooms. However, the service is so terrible, that I had to give it 1*.

This hotel has chosen to employ rude, aggressive people who could easily be mistaken for common criminals. I literally had one of the hotel employees jump in front of my car as I was leaving the hotel, screaming at me because \"you hit a car in the parking lot\". For the record, I never hit any car - this was simply an attempt by an. unruly employee to get me in trouble because I was unhappy about an earlier incident involving him. That earlier incident involved this employee leaving his car double parked, blocking me in. Frankly, that in itself would have been unacceptable enough, but to follow it out by a verbal attack that bordered on physical aggression? That's insane.

To make things worse, my attempts to contact hotel management to complain fell on flat ears. I got promises that the manager would call me back, but clearly attending to hotel guests is the least of this manager's concerns.

Long story short: Avoid this hotel if you value your safety.

This property took my credit card info for incidentals and charged it twice for the full stay on top of being already paid through Orbitz, thus, charging me 3 times for one stay. Staff was incompetent in resolving the issue timely and refunding the overcharged amounts, and it took several calls, emails, and days to resolve. Aside from this, room had sticky stains, no pool towels, and.out of coffee.

The hotel is located in an excellent location within walking distance to the beach and the tourist area of the Tel Aviv port which includes many good restaurants, The hotel staff is very kind and pleasant, and the hotel is clean and looks like it was just recently renovated, and the food at breakfast is excellent.

Spend your money elsewhere.

Nice hotel, but overpriced at $300/night. Rooms are separated by paper thin walls, and the rooms themselves are awful for working in - no desk to speak of. Internet was very slow if it worked at all.

Staff was courteous and helpful, and the breakfast was indeed 5 stars. That made up for the rest of the place.

Tal is Right by the Beach!

Overall good experience the only issue was the persons who clean my room did not supply any new toilet paper, hand soaps or shower soaps.
The two last nights I ran out of toilet papers and soaps so I had to use whatever I brought with me.
Also the gym was closed when I tried visiting it one morning.
Food was good and walking distance to the beach was convenient.

The only reason why I did not give it a perfect was due to the parking. Everything about the hotel was excellent. Parking I overpaid for one night because the hotel parking was full. It took several tries before I got parking there. They kept telling me about a place they use which was quite far by walking where I could park. They should have an arrangement somewhere when their spots fill up. Except for that, the stay was great, staff helpful, and hotel and room were clean. Would recommend, besides a car is not needed in this busy city.

Our stay at the Tal hotel was wonderful. The service was super, everyone was so nice and helpful any time of the day. The room was very clean and the hotel made sure to clean our room every day and we stayed there for a few weeks. We had a very good experience, they made our stay very pleasant and we highly recommend This hotel.

Nice hotel, noisy at night from street.

Very nice renovated hotel next to the Tel Aviv port. Great service, comfortable beds. Annoying and expensive to have to park far away from the hotel. However, that is common in Tel Aviv. I would have forgiven that but I also had trouble sleeping since there was noise from the street below. Not sure why the windows weren't more sound proof. A shame because I like the hotel besides that.

This is not a luxury hotel but is comfortable, service is excellent, breakfast and dinner are fantastic, the rooms are comfortable with good wifi and air conditioning and it has an excellent location.

My only critique would be that there seemed to be some mould in the shower that can definitely be fixed and would never happen in my home, but the hotel was very clean.

I would certainly go back.

So So - would not repeat!

First time in Tal hotel and I cannot say it was nice. After being accused to be imposter on check in - I cannot recommend staying there.
Hotel was so so - I believe you can find better options in this price range. Be careful from the cockroach - they are in the rooms.
Breakfast was ok. Area around is great - which is the only positive thing I can write on this place.

Look somewhere else.

Wonderful hotel near port in Tel Aviv. Comfortable beds, great amenities in the room- espresso maker was a nice touch! Buffet breakfast was unbelievable! A little further away from other sites like Carmel Market, Dizengoff, but steps away from the beach. Complimentary happy hour was also a nice touch!

I stayed for 4 nights at the Tal in July and enjoyed our time there. The Atlas hotels in general are an amazing chain of hotels. I have stayed in others. The hotel was so pretty and just steps from the beach promenade and port. The rooftop lounge was great and we had happy hour there almost every day with a nice complimentary spread of food, wine and sangria. It had beautiful views of the sea. The only reason I didn't give cleanliness a 5 is because the shower in my room kept flooding as the shower door didn't keep the water in and there was some water damage to the wall that did not feel or look clean. Other than that, the property and room itself was very clean. The breakfast was a typical Israeli breakfast, so many choices of salads, breads, cheeses, fish, etc and everyday there were also hot food choices as well that varied. The restaurant was very nice. They also serve dinner but we did not have a chance to eat there. The hotel offers free bikes and the first day I took a bike out and rode down the promenade along the beach. It was so fun as there is so much going on there, it's amazing. We also enjoyed the beach one day and the hotel provides beach towels, a tote bag and sunscreen at the main desk. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit to the Tal highly recommend it.

Good location by the beach and next to some very good restaurants. Free parking although one has to be extremly careful how to go in and out as it is very tight. first night I had a room overlooking the street I had to get it changed as it was very loud and could not sleep. Breakfast is good as per Israeli standard.

This was my second time at this hotel. Our room had an amazing view of the beach. We had chocolate brownie cake waiting for us when we checked in. everyone is super nice and helpful. The only thing that could make the hotel even better would be if they changed up the breakfast a little and maybe add an omelette station. The happy hour was great! And the hotel has a great rooftop! I will definitely go back.

Excellent hotel by the beach

Great location by a nice beach and many upscale restaurant and shops by the beach. Lovely hotel, nice rooms, amazing breakfast (mediteranean specialties), happy hour, gym and free rental bikes. They also arranged our shuttle from the airport. Very helpful front desk- all in English, available 24/7, security outside front door, safe area of town.

3 minutes’ walk from the very good beach (they provide beach towels daily). People at front desk and restaurant speak 2-3 languages, very friendly. We arrived at Tal 4 hours before our check-in time and they gave us a room immediately! 10-floor hotel was full but 2 elevators work fast so you shouldn't stay in line longer than 1-2 minutes. Tal's rooms have safe, kettle and choice of tea and coffee, refrigerator, good quality toiletries. Breakfast and room service offered a lot of fish, vegetables, etc.
They even have happy hours on terrace where you can watch sunset!

Bike Tel Aviv like a Local

Having a free bike and helmet was a major plus for me as there is an amazing bike bath along the Mediterranean Sea from the hotel to Jaffa! As with all of the Atlas Hotels, the decor was stylish, the shower great and the bed amazingly comfortable. This hotel also has a lovely roof top lounge.

Two great days in Tel Aviv at the beach

Nice modern hotel very close to beach in Tel Aviv. Bag and towels provided for the beach. Great breakfasts. Free WiFi. Free new bicycles to ride along board walk, and riverside park.Beaches are clean and manned by life guards. Lots of good restaurants and shops right nearby. Free parking in hotel. Staff try to help with things you might need. My second time at this hotel in 6 months and would go again.

Pros and Cons

The location of this hotel is great for walking to restaurants. The staff could not have been nicer. I feel the hotel could use a makeover. There were stains on our bathroom wall that were unavoidable to look at. Also, there was an ironing board and iron in the hall for three days. Breakfast was amazing!

Tal by the Beach, built some 40 years ago, was renovated in 2017, making it virtually a spanking new and sparkling hotel. The decor is modern -- aimed at comfort as well as aesthetics. I took my room with half board. This proved to be a happy decision. The breakfast is a bountiful Israeli buffet with wide variety. Delicious! The dinner was buffet if at least ten persons were to be served. If under ten, then the guests were given virtually a private buffet -- various salads and appetizers as well as choice of chicken, beef or fish. One of the most enjoyable aspects of the hotel is the rooftop terrace. While I usually prefer hotels that have rooms with balconies, which Tal does not, the rooftop terrace is a marvelous substitute. Comfortable chairs. Tables. All overlooking the Mediterranean. So peaceful! So exhilarating! Moreover, between 5:00-7:00 p.m. the hotel offers a complimentary Happy Hour featuring wine, champagne, soft drinks, coffee/tea along with hors d'ouevres. The Happy Hour takes place in the lounge adjacent to the rooftop terrace. One can take drinks and edibles out on to the terrace for a most soothing pre-dinner experience. I also prefer hotels with swimming pools which the Tal does not have. However, the beach is a block or two away. The hotel gives coupons for beach towels. And, last but not least, the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. It can't get better than this -- unless the room would be free of charge!!

Hotel in Telaviv

Arrived after a five hour drive To be told that parking is only on availability and staff absolutely I’m interested and on helpful. That’s the reason why we booked the hotel was that we had a calm and we wanted to find a hotel that had, barking. The Front of house team seemed more interested in watching YouTube videos then helping their guests. The hotel itself was nice and bigger than I thought. The breakfast was excellent and it was in a good location .

This place is a joke

They post all these extremely photoshopped photos of their hotel making it look something fancy and they charge premium.
The place is rundown, the rooms look like a hostel. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

This hotel is an excellent choice: the rooms are nice and clean, and comfortable. After a long flight, check in was a breeze - it took about two minutes and we were on our way to the room. The breakfast buffet was AMAZING, and the staff is very attentive. Did I mention everyone speaks English fluently? And, the best part is the location: less than 1' walk to the beach. To Yafa, the older town, it is maybe two miles.

Wonderful Boutique Hotel Right By a Great Beach!

We loved Tal by the Beach! The location was wonderful, just a block from a beautiful beach where you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas. The water was clean and beautiful. The breakfast was amazing at the hotel. A huge variety and great quality. The room was clean, with a very modern bathroom, a nice couch, free WiFi, and comfortable beds. The security guy in the lobby was very helpful with all kinds of information. The only small thing that wasn't perfect was that the room and the bathroom were pretty small. That didn't bother my husband at all, though. I found it only slightly uncomfortable. I would still give this hotel a 10.

top choice for staying in Tel aviv.

It's really nice experience staying at Tal by the beach. it's quite neighbor, more than one mile away from main Marina, but it's minute walk to the beach. Nice restaurants on the beach. Happy Hour daily on the roof top. very limit garage parking is the only thing I don't like, specially in the weekend.
