Tel Aviv Hilton is iconic

I stayed at the Tel Aviv Hilton in June of 1967. Since then I have returned on many dozens of occasions. This hotel is my home away from home! I highly recommend it! Outstanding breakfasts! The Vista lounge is wonderful!

The hotel was nice and clean, the service should be better. We were waiting to long for checking in, we received the room with an hour delay. While we were waiting they didn’t even offered us water. In the room we were missing towels and water, we called for the service a few times, but we didn’t get it, until we went for the reception. The accessibility for strollers is poor, specially around the pool or on the way to the beach. 10 minutes ofter we checked out and left the hotel I received a call from the hotel. The representative asked me with a lot of attitude if we are planning on leaving the room or that they will charge us for extra night. When I explained that we already checked out, she didn’t apologize for her mistake, and said with the same attitude that she is sending someone to check if we really left the room. It was very unpleasant, and not the way I expected to finish my vacation.

All in all a great experience. Only problem was that with the large number of people staying, sometimes it took a little too long for service. Especially with wait staff. Servers should check with their patrons from time to time. All told though, a nice experience.

Very disappointing and far from a 5 stars hotel. They have a busy and a non-friendly staff, but the worst part was the cleanliness level.
The housekeeping ignored the dirty glasses and dishes for days in the room and often forgot to add water, bath robes etc..
The shocking part was to find out that they arrange the bed ignoring the visible dirt on the sheets. Not only we didn’t get an apology when we complained, but we had an arrogant answer (By One frisky Shalev) that claimed that they can change the sheets after every 5 days, and that its our responsibility to ask for the sheet change in case they get dirty.
This was the hotel attitude, and I cant believe the Hilton looks like this.

The location is fantastic but the hotel can use a lot of updating and maintenance. You don't feel that you are in a 5 star, expensive hotel. Staff members are not particularly welcoming or friendly and overall it's simply the beauty of the Mediterranean and the lovely views and location that kept me from cancelling mid-stay.

Great hotel. Very crowded and the service at the outdoor Lobby Bar is terrible. Other service issues in terms of help getting a ride to important meeting and Covid testing - you’re on your own. Shouldn’t be that way. Otherwise good service and great pool.

Overall staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very average. The breakfast was very well done! The pool was not really as beautiful as the photos showed. You don’t get private beach access (must pay for your chairs). Overall it was a pleasant stay but far from what I would consider a high end hotel.

The hotel is on the beach and is in a great location. Those are the pros of this hotel. Our room was near the elevator and was extremely loud..,every night until 2/3am. The hotel is huge so the noise is loud, elevators are very slow and crowded and the service isn’t great. They came to do turn down service at close to 11pm. The breakfast service was slow to get coffee or to clean the tables between guests. I love Tel Aviv and this area is great and it’s nice to be so close to the beach but this hotel did not feel like a 5 star hotel at all.

The food selection was limited to vegetarians. A Hilton should have a choice for guests that are not Jewish and will like to eat meat ( at least a burger ) or at least quality chicken.

This is one of the nicest hotels in Tel Aviv — and the location on the beach is great. But, the hotel really shuts down during Shabbat (fewer elevators resulting in 15-20 minute waits, restaurant serving a small selection of food, gym closes at 6, etc.) so if you don’t observe, it could be an inconvenience for you. The service was not great for such a nice hotel — for example, they declined to provide bottled water for us before our 8-hour tour. Next time I’m on Tel Aviv, I think I’ll try one of the newer hotels — this one seems to be resting on its laurels as the most established hotel on the beach.

Hotel is in an excellent position. Room was adequate. Bathroom was very small. Concierge services were outstanding. Hotel staff very friendly at reception. However breakfast was inferior for 5 star Hotel. Fruit was of an inferior quality. Service was bad and you have to look for waiters to receive service. Generally hotel not as good as other 5 star hotels that we stayed at in Israel.

Great location for closeness to both beach and pool, wasn’t as busy as we expected in August.

Service from the staff was excellent, room decor slightly dated but clean and bathrooms are contemporary and pleasing.

Friday and Saturday the place becomes a bit of a zoo with the pool area becoming challenging.

Bar that would stay again with kids.

The Hilton has great beach access. It's a nice facility. However the rooms are small for $500 a night. There's no complimentary coffee, tea, or refrigerator. Most Israeli hotels have a refrigerator, and offer coffee and tea free with the room. I was disappointed in the size of the room for the price. They have a really nice pool and pool-side restaurant that's convenient. It's a nice resort if you want to be right on the water, I just don't think the rooms are worth $500 us a night. There are plenty of hotels right across the street from the Hilton that have really nice rooms, like Hotel Shalom, you just won't have the ocean view. However the beach access is pretty much the same, and you could save 150-200 bucks a night.

Fabulous hotel near to the beach

Had a very enjoyable week at the Hilton. The rooms were comfortable with nice size bath and separate shower cubicle. The breakfast was legendary and overall, the quality of the food at the hotel was great. The poolside staff were always very helpful and made sure that we had umbrellas, when needed. Occasionally, it felt that there were not enough restaurant staff in the evenings where we ate at the hotel, resulting in long waits for service or food to be delivered. Other than that, I could not fault the hotel and would strongly recommend it.

Booked 2 king deluxe ocean view rooms for my 101 year old dad and my daughter. Guests were given standard rooms with sea glimpse craning your neck views. Hotel used to be five star grand dame of Tel Aviv. Now barely four-star facility with tired old rooms that misleads and overcharges guests.

Best choice I made for hotel in Tel Aviv

The hotel is beautiful and extremely well designed even though the building is several decades old. It was well designed and has been very adequately updated with great attention to detail. High tech helps offset the impact of Shabbat for non-observant people to minimize inconvenience while still paying complete respect to all of the restrictive traditions of the most observant. Very charming, extremely friendly staff and best beach access in Tel Aviv. I won't stay anywhere else there again until there is something brand new with similar beach access. Who knows when that will be. Hope to come back again and again...

This Hotel is landmark in Tel Aviv, If you like a busy social environment then this hotel is that .
Along with clean well appointed rooms all sea facing, good facilities you won't go wrong here.
The spa is excellent , the Health club is adequate, the food overall is slightly disappointing , but unless you spend
a lot of money in Tel Aviv or in fact the whole country the food is just okay..
Overall a very enjoyable stay , and the people where very pleasant..

Everything about this hotel was perfect. The site, the ambiance, the general service and especially the dining experience. The one fly in the ointment, and the reason I didn't give them a five star rating, was the check in service. There was a technicality that was actually not anything we should have been held liable for, and the clerk was not at all sympathetic. Coming in after a full days travel we were made to feel as if we were felons trying to short change the hotel. Mind this was a prepaid package. The whole thing was a tempest in a teapot that was resolved immediately by Expedia. However, the reception staff need not be heavy handed, especially with those who have already paid for the stay. Shame, because as i said, otherwise they rate five stars.

Chose holiday for Beach access. The Hilton although close to the Beach was not accessible
Long walk down very steep slope and stairs prevented my partner and I from being able to

Very poor control of room air, hotel hallways and elevators hot. Maintenance did not come as promised to check the air conditioning which makes for poor sleeping. Housekeeping is terrible - garbage from first day still in room on 5th day. Room remained dirty.
Mini bar refilled once during stay. Not at all a 4 star hotel, never mind 5!!! I would not recommend the Hilton to my friends or family until they clean up their act.

Only major problem was swimming pool is freezing!

Rooms are nice, nice grounds as well. Swimming pool is the only major problem. It is sea water and pumped in from deep ocean and it's freezing cold. Middle of summer and you couldn't go in. For the price of the room they need to heat it!

Great location, great food, and good amenities

We stayed 5 nights for a family wedding. The hotel's location was very good as we could easily get to great shops and restaurants by walking or taking a short taxi ride. The restaurants inside the hotel are phenomenal (especially the breakfast buffet and the Shabbos buffet). My only complaint, being an American, I'm quite spoiled with larger hotel rooms. Our room had two twin beds and we could only accommodate one large suitcase (I had to unpack the other large suitcase and put it in the closet as there was no other space where to keep it).

Really 3 star hotel!

I wouldn't stay in this hotel if it called something else. But it called \"Hilton\" that's why we choose it. Unfortunately it's not even close to\"Hilton\" quality. We suppose to check in at 2:00 pm but actual check in time was 4:45 pm and the offered \"coffee and cake \"( which was included in our stay anyway) to compensate for delay. Swimming pool wasn't heated so it's impossible to swim. On the website hotel claimed that it has a beach- they have just a territory on the beach but you have to buy chairs and umbrellas from commercial beach next to it. For the money we spent on 3 nights we could book a week in Sheraton or some other hotel next to it.

Best hotel in Tel Aviv

While not located in 'hot' neighborhood -- the fact that the hotel is on the beach in a park means fabulous views from your balcony (every room has one) of Tel Aviv and the beach. It is easy to get from here to anywhere in Tel Aviv This is a hotel that pays attention to service and clientele tend to be business people and people willing to pay a premium for excellent service and facilities. This is not a hotel where you will find screaming kids at breakfast.

Disappointing confusion

The location of he Hilton is superb and the views magnificent. It was therefore disappointing to be given a room with a view over a garage. The breakfast was amazing and the spa fantastic. However on returning to the room on the afternoon of second day the room was not made up and the staff rudely said that we were supposed to have checked out and ask to see the Expedia booking. On receipt they acknowledge a technical error and offer to compensate for the inconvenience but in fact never did - unless they meant to do so with the tray of nuts left in the room.

Very comfortable recently refurbished bedroom and bathroom. Nice public rooms and excellent facilities in the Vista Lounge if you opt for this package with free soft drinks, wines and spirits all day plus free Breakfast and supper time food.
Hotel is adjacent to an excellent sandy beach with easy access and no road to cross. Swimming pool is large with a separate one for kids. the surrounding area is large but a bit too much of a concrete jungle although staff are helpful and there are plentiful umbrellas and beds. Food and drink in the restaurants and the mini bar expensive but par for the course for a five star hotel.

Whatever your Heart May Desire.

We had to arrange a stay at the Hilton rather suddenly. The receptionist could not have been more helpful and said that he would find us a nice room. It was nice with a great view.
The bedroom was a delight. Turned down beds, spoilt with a small box of chocolates. Though there was a very full range of food and drinks in the bar, the hotel provided essential drinking water, a basket of fruit, and a bottle of wine.
The bathroom contained bath and separate shower (though it did leak through the sealer at the bottom of the glass door). There was a generous selection of toiletries.
The breakfasts were made of a buffet to fulfil anyone's tastes, from cereals, breads, fruits, herring, cheeses, freshly cooked foods, and a variety of teas and coffees.
The pool was run very smoothly by the number of pool boys who offered help whenever necessary. The drinks 'bar' provided hot and cold drinks as well as fruits. The pool restaurant is further away and covers a full range of dishes and non-milk drinks.
There are two 'galleries' within the hotel; several clothes shops and a general news/books/gifts/sweet shop.
