We were here last year as well. The hotel has a restaurant as well. The spa in the hotel is nice. There is also a public spa down the street which folks enjoy for a fee.

Disappointing

The pool was great, but we couldn't use it or the jacuzzi on our last morning because of an Aquafit class.
Although the check-in was efficient we were not told about the Konus Card available to visitors for free train and bus travel in the Black Forest. We learnt of this in the local tourist information office, but only after we had checked out.
The use of a fan in the non-aircon room would have been a bonus.

Good value faded glory.

Badenweiler is a total gem and proven by the German Met Office to have air so great it curative! There are great little shops and a stunning public spa. This hotel is perfectly fine for the money, although the restaurant is overpriced for dinner-go elsewhere. But breakfast was excellent and included-few hotels manage scrambled eggs well and we couldn't get them to turn the coffee machine on so coffee was ghastly! The hotel is faded but absolutely fine. Clean and quiet, and you get what you pay for. Service was excellent.

Mini-Bar

I wonder why the mini-bar was not available. When I opened the little fridge, it said to ask reception if we want it the mini-bar to be filled...... the thing is the point of the mini-bar is to be available at all times! If I check in in a hotel at 11 at night and I open the mini bar fridge I would like to see something there. My husband wanted some chocolate but it was empty.

Friendly staff and great town!

The hotel is based in a beautiful little town and from the outside it is ok. Stepping inside is like entering the set of Faulty Towers. Furniture and decor are very dated (although clean). Very very strong smell of cigarettes from the reception that leaks into the rooms. They were smoking in the back office in the evening. Staff were super friendly and cheerful just a shame about the smell and the decor.

If you're into classic hotels, this is for you. Our rooms were huge, more like a suite. And there's towels everywhere. The city is beautiful. It's a perfect place for spending a couple of days.

Schönes Inhabergeführtes Hotel. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal.
Reichhaltiges und schön präsentiertes Frühstücks Buffet. Auch mit regionalen Produkten.
Großes geräumiges Zimmer mit Balkon. Bad etwas klein aber o.k. Wasser auf dem Zimmer.

Das Essen war sehr fein, das Personal sehr freundlich. Leider haben wir jeden Abend einen anderen Tisch erhalten. Am letzten Abend wurden wir vom schönen Fensterplatz nach hinten in die dunkle Ecke verbannt. Obwohl wir noch ein Tag verlängert haben.

Unser Superior Zimmer war sehr gross....leider keine Möglichkeit zum The oder Kaffee machen ..es hatte aber einen Kühlschrank(laut)....die Umgebung war schön....Frühstück annehmbar...am ersten Morgen wurden wir in eine finstere Ecke gesetzt...am 2ten Morgen dann ein anderer Tisch..
Nachtessen hatten wir nicht...
Wellnessbereich war gut.....
Durch das Alter des Hotels obwohl schön renoviert...waren die Böden leicht uneben...Hanglage....was mir manchmal das Gefühl auf einem Schiff zu sein gab....nicht negativ aber gewöhnunsbedürftig🙃
Bei der Abreise wurden uns 2 Gästekarten an die Quittung geheftet...warum wir die nicht bei der Ankunft erhielten...kein Hinweis...ist für mich schwer erklärbar.....auch kein Hinweis beim Auschecken dass wir den Wellnessbereich noch nutzen könnten...wusste ich von anderen Bewertungen...

Erholungs Urlaub

Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hier her. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Essen ist immer sehr lecker. Es hat für jeden ewtas. Im Sommer hat es eine sehr schöne grosse Therasse wo man essen kann. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet und jedes anders Eingerichtet.

Wellness und Genuss in wunderschöner Umgebung

2.5 Tage Wellness.... wunderbarer Pool und Saunen, hervorragende Massagen....dazu Frühstück und Abendbuffet/menu vom Feinsten.....was will man mehr. Das Personal ist flink, freundlich und umsichtig. Kein Wunder, dass soviele Schweizer hier absteigen.

Wunderschöne Umgebung und Aussicht. Habe nach den Hotel Bildern etwas mehr erwartet. Bett wahnsinnig bequem, Badezimmer veraltet. (wcdeckel könnte man schon austauschen) Restaurant in die Jahre gekommen, Frühstück war okay aber nichts besonders.

Hôtel à recommander à Badenweiler

C'est mon 3ème séjour au Ritter Hotel. L'hôtel très bien situé dans Badenweiler, tout près du centre ville et des thermes. Les chambres sont propres et fonctionnelles. L'hôtel possède un spa avec piscine sauna bain de vapeur et un très agréable jardin. Personnel sympathique et toujours prêt à rendre service. Le petit déjeuner est tout à fait correct. A recommander.

Zimmer ist sehr gross und geräumig. das Wetter war so heiss und da hat man eine Klimaanlage vermisst. ansonsten alles wunderbar.
Die Menuportionen im Restaurant sind sehr gross und schmecken lecker. Wlan im Zimmer war leider sehr schlecht.

Grande hotel, con ulteriori stanze accessibili dal parcheggio, non molto grande, ma gratuito). Stanza nella zona interna con Letto matrimoniale, divano e 2 sedie di fronte alla grande finestra, dove ammirare il tramonto. Inoltre 2 sdraio e 2 sedie nella piccola area riservata. Piscina, idromassaggio, saune e palestra. Molta scelta a colazione: uova, bacon, affettati, molti formaggi, frutta, vari tipi di pane, etc.

Beste Entspannung für langes Wochenende

Wir waren bereits zum zweiten Mal ein verlängertes Wochenende zu Gast im Hotel Ritter und unsere Erwartungen wurden wieder übertroffen.

Das Hotel bietet einen sehr geräumigen Wellness-Bereich (diverse Saunen, Infrarotkabine, Whirlpool, etc.), welcher sehr gut gepflegt wurde (und wird). Hier kann man sich wirklich bestens entspannen. Absolut top fanden wir auch, dass nach dem Check-Out (11 Uhr) der Wellness-Bereich noch kostenlos bis 14 Uhr genutzt werden durfte.

Das Abendessen sowie das Frühstücksbuffet sind wirklich sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Das Service-Personal ist immer freundlich und aufmerksam, wir haben uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt (auch ausserhalb des Restaurants). Lobend erwähnen muss man noch, dass die nicht im Preis inbegriffenen Getränke im Vergleich zu vielen anderen nicht überteuert sind.

Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet (getrenntes Bad & WC), gutes WLAN, Flachbild-TV, Sitzecke, etc. Auch leistet die Raumpflege wirklich gute Arbeit.

Weiterhin positive ist die zentrale Lage des Hotels (zur öffentlichen Therme circa 3 min Fussweg, zum Stadtpark mit Burg circa 2 min (bei schönem Wetter unbedingt auf die Burg!)).

Insgesamt war es sehr schön und wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Kleine Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten sind vielleicht im Bereich der Einrichtung möglich (zeitgemässere Einrichtung).

Nicht den Erwartungen entsprechend

Den Bildern im Internet zufolge freuten wir uns über ein tolles Wochenende mit Wellness und Erholungsfaktor. Am Freitag Mittag angekommen, war der erste Eindruck leider sehr ernüchternd.
Vor dem Haus eine grosse Baustelle und viel Lärm. Der Wellnessbereich ist extrem klein, viel zuwenig Liegen, das Wasser sehr Kalt und die Atmosphäre erinnerte mehr an Hallenbad als an „Wohlfühloase“. Zudem kam noch die 60minütige Ganzkörpermassage die ich für meinen Mann gebucht habe, die sich aber leider als ca.30min Bodylotion eincreme Session entpuppt hat. Seiner Meinung nach wusste der Herr nicht wirklich was er da tat und schien keine grosse Erfahrung (oder Ausbildung) als Masseur zu haben.
Wodurch das Hotel Ritter aber Punkten konnte war das Essen. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, dass keine Wünsche offen liess und auch am Abend gab es weder am Service noch am Essen etwas auszusetzen. Alles in allem, für den Preis war es ganz Ok, es wird aber unser einziger Besuch bleiben.

Für uns kein zweiter Besuch in diesem Hotel

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel Ritter war solala. Was sehr befremdend ist, dass im Zimmer keine Slipper, wie man es sich von jedem 4. Sterne Hotel gewohnt ist hatte. Diese musste ich für happige 6 Euro dazukaufen, das habe ich noch in keinem Hotel erlebt!! Auch hatte es auf dem Zimmer nicht einmal eine kleine Flasche Mineralwasser. Gerade in einem Wellnesshotel.... Im Badezimmer hatte es keinen Duschvorhang in der Badewanne, so, dass man alles nass spritze wenn man die Brause nicht aus der Halterung nahm. Im Bad hatte es zwei kleine Shampoos, Duschgel fehlte. Man konnte alles zusätzlich haben, aber alles kostete zusätzlich. Das habe ich bis jetzt noch in keinem einzigen 4. Sterne Hotel erlebt, ob Wellnesshotel oder nicht.
Der Service war hervorragend, sehr freundliches Personal und leckeres Essen. Das Hotel ist doch ziemlich abgenutzt und in die Jahre gekommen. Der Wellness-Bereich sehr klein, auf der Homepage wohl mit einer Weitwinkelkamera aufgenommen. Spa Angebote auf sehr hohem Preisniveau. Beim Check-out keine Frage ob wir zufrieden waren oder nicht. Alles in allem wohl kein zweiter Besuch in diesem Hotel. Es gibt zum Glück noch viele andere. Schade, dies war eine Überraschung für meinen Mann, für mich enttäuschend.
