Don't be fooled by the high rating; the hotel is really noisy, very dirty, and has no windows that can't be opened. It's extremely stuffy and has a strange smell that really makes you nauseous. There are 3-4 nightclubs inside the hotel that play loud music until 5 am. There's practically no oxygen in the rooms.

I found a bug was flying inside my room. I got bitten then my leg was swollen. When I came back from Dubai I went straight to ER for treatment. The doctor found out my leg was bitten by bug. My leg was really bad already when she check the results. Stay away on this hotel.

Good hotel, but the nightclub going on until about 4am was an issue. The noise seemed to thud through the whole hotel. Maybe if you were in the opposite corner of the hotel it would be okay. Shame as it was a nice hotel, excellent staff and really handy location, only 2 mins walk from a metro station

What I remember most is the honesty of the person in charge of cleaning the room. He found my ring and placed it under the lamp. I didn’t even mention I misplaced my ring ( was in a rush to leave that morning). Breakfast buffet👌

The location was very good, close to metro and having a big shopping center nearby although my window lock was broken and the engineer had to temporarily fix it.
But i was really surprised about the cleanness.

1. I found a roach near the door and had to kill it. OMG. And left it on the floor and when i came back to room, it was still there!!! Are you sure you are cleaning up the room?

2. There were some melon slices fallen to the bar shelf at the fruit section during breakfast. the staff put them to where they were!!!

I think the staffs are really not conceding the hygiene things. I won't never go again!!

Disappointing stay from a Holiday Inn

The hotel overall was about what to expect from a typical Holiday Inn but the room was not in very good condition and the tub in the bathroom appeared to not be maintained and needed to be replaced due to issues with the tub bottom. There was also mold in the grout in many places and found the bayhroom overall a big disappointment. The bed was also not overly comfortable but was comfortable enough to have a decent night sleep.

Amazing Stay!

I and my wife stayed here for two days during this week. We had an amazing stay. The reception staff extremely courteous and helpful. Food had a good spread and was tasty. The room service guys were always prompt and never gave an occasion to call twice!
The location of the Hotel is perfect - Burjman metro station is just 5 minutes walk. Overall, very happy that we stayed here.

Rooms are in good condition (Except hot water problem. Like you need to wait for 20 minutes, I have complaint it like 2 to 3 times and each time technician comes and ask me to wait),

Front desk staff is very friendly but at the time of check out it was very pain full as it took like 30 minutes due to some mess at hotel side.

Room service is little odd as if you order anything you need to call at least twice. Overall location is good quite near to Burzuman metro. staff is very friendly. Breakfast is very good.

My suggestion don't book anything from Travel desk in the lobby area as you pay a lot of money but final service for anything is very bad. My recommendation is to put any new travel help desk which suites the hotel brand.

Pool is nice with warn water and even we have a life guard there.

Booked this room during the off season. The hotel was clean, modern, and had a very friendly staff. My room was spacious with a nice King bed. Internet was fast and reliable as well. A short walk from the property led to the metro train station at separates the Red and the Green portions of Dubai transit system. This station also has an exit leading to a very large shopping mall.

The Holiday inn in Bur Dubai offer great accomodation and some amazing food.
The hotel location was perfect for us, the metro station, Dubai burjuman mall, and restaurants was a walking distance away from the hotel. Staffs were delightful and all of them were genuinely friendly and happy to help us. Rooms are nice clean and beautiful, besides of a minor issues about clean towels. I will highly recommend this hotel.

Not what we expected

First Impression is a lasting impression and i don't believe westerners would consider this Hotel to be 4 Star. On arrival, the Lobby was dimly lit with very out dated dirty Lobby Furniture. The staff were polite and helpful and gave us an early check in which we appreciated after a 15hour flight.The room was spacious and old world but was past its use by date. The bathroom was clean but rust was coming through the grout. Breakfast was plentiful but not exciting. When we took our suitcases from the corner of our room where we had stored them they were wet and we discovered the carpet in the corner was saturated. We believe it may have been a leak from the bathroom and reported it on our departure.

I just felt that having a 7 day stay does not mean that the cleaning can go lesser or more relaxed. On the 4th day onwards I felt the room was not cleaned more like just tidy up and renewing of towel. Called the room service for 2 straws to be sent to the room but no one turned up. Pillows were really small and bed spring could byle heard everytime we turned around. The only good thing about the hotel is it's location. Everything is near by and assessible.

I would have given 5 stars if not for one recurring problem (see below for details). Overall, this hotel is a VERY good value for the money.

I stayed here for 8 nights in an executive suite. The room is very clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect for me... close to everything I need. I really appreciate the free below-ground parking (keeps the car cooler) and the fast, free WiFi.

The only problem I had was with the towels. The first night, there were two bath towels, two hand towels, and two wash cloths (the staff here calls them \"face towels\"), and a bath mat. This is perfect as we are two people staying here.

However, on the second night, there were no hand towels. I told the front desk about it, and they sent hand towels right away.

On the third night, there were no wash cloths (face towels). Again, they sent them right away.

On the fourth night, there was only one bath towel.

On the fifth night, no bath mat. And so-on. Each time, they sent someone right away with the missing towels. Finally, on my last night (8th night), they got it correct.

I just don't understand why the housekeeping staff can't get the towels right. There are two people staying in the room... so keep two sets of all towels in the room! It's pretty simple.

If Expedia allowed me to give 4.5 stars instead of 4.0, I would give 4.5. But I can't give 5.0 stars due to the recurring mistakes with the towels.

The staff was non co-operative. They failed to understand our request for wheelchair assisted shower area for my wife. In fact one of the staff suggested that as the room offered was not suitable for my wife she can use the shower on the terrace next to the pool which was insulting as our request was a genuine one and the suggestion was ridiculous.

Nice hotel, close to burjuman metro station.

Overall nice stay at hotel for five nights. Big size and clean room, lots of options in complimentary buffet breakfast. Hotel is walkable from burjuman metro station. In metro you can reach Dubai mall, Burj Khalifa, Meena bazaar, gold souk, mall of the Emirates etc, easy and economic way of transportation compared to taxi or private vehicles.

3 pubs/clubs on ground floor, some of which blast music so loud, we had to move rooms on the first night with a 3 year child. Would not recommend to families with small children as the evening club/pub environment is not very appropriate.
Evening hotel services are slow, for example, our daughter was sick on the bed, so had to ring for a new set of bed sheets. It took 2 calls and 30 minutes later. Another occasion, we returned to our room after a day out, to find no new towels, again 2 calls to reception and about 30 mins later they arrive.
Breakfast was standard (not of a high quality).
All staff were friendly and helpful

Good hotel, great staff!

The hotel price is relatively cheaper than other hotels.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The hotel was a 10minute drive to the Dubai Mall and roughly 20 minutes to Jumeirah, so it is pretty much centre to the main attractions. It has underground car parking which was great.
The beds and toilet were clean, the sheets & towels were changed every day without any issues.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Dubai considering the price it is well worth it.

Overcrowding was an issue. Waited 5hours for our prebooked room to be available. We had to wait in the hotel lobby which has like 5 sofas. Terrible window view. Wifi wasn't easily accessible But one staff member named Rakesh was truly amazing in accommodating to all our requests.

Great hotel in best location!

Perfect location and excellent choice! The hotel is in walking distance to a Burjuman metro station and shopping mall, but far enough from all the fuss and noise. There are also great and reasonable priced restaurants near. If you need a quiet place to relax but also want to enjoy all the shopping opportunities Dubai has to offer, this is your place. The pool was also nice, water was warm and there is a shower if not so fond to swimming. Gym was well equipped and the only minus was that the climate was a bit tropic every now and then. Our room was nice and clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Definitely going to choose this hotel again if travelling to Dubai in the future.

Requested at reception for assistance with our luggage from car to foyer which was never forthcoming, at the point of check in seemed cheotic and multitasking serving more than one customer at anyone point. Rooms were comfortable but having used another hotel in Dubai just a week prior, it seems this facility falls short of 4 star rating. Due to external and street noise levels, 'good night sleep' was always at premium. Breakfast a little more than average, I guess...!!

The hotel in general is in good condition. The breakfast menu is extensive with many choices. The staff are generally friendly. If I were to list a few negative items, I would say try to stay at higher floors and avoid rooms right above the club. They have recently opened up a night club in the lobby which is very loud well into the late hours (3 in the morning). Our room was on the second floor right on top of the club and we could hear loud music all night into the morning. Also, the view from our windows was to an old run-down apartment complex where construction workers lived. You could see clothes/shoes hanging to dry (not a pleasant scenery) literally a couple of feet from our windows. The hotel doorman was a nice guy (first night) but the rest of our stay every time we needed a cab no one was there to help. One time I asked the doorman to call a cab for us and he told me to go stand on the street and wait because even if he called, it would take the same amount of time for the cab to arrive!

I would love to be a repeat customer, which am already. But there is something which is really an irksome is the room key. During my earlier stay as well as this time, the magnetic strip was NOT working when inserted to the lock and repeated appeals has not improved the situation. Dont know whether its happening only with me or with other guests too. If only they can rectify this, they have a permanent customer in me.

The only downside of the my stay in the hotel is that it took 30-40 minutes to have hot water running in the shower. Then it was not consistent.

The front desk personnel, especially Mr. Hammad, was very professional and accommodating.

I would recommend the hotel to anyone who is going to visit Dubai.

Comfortable hotel but noisy guests

This hotel caters for guests from India and so the meals are biased to the Indian cuisine. OK for one or 2 meals but not everyday. We stayed for 6 nights and ended up ordering room service for 3 nights just to get away from curry.
Guests at breakfast and other meals fill their plates and then walk around the restaurant eating the food with their hands instead of sitting down at a table.
Beware of large crowds of guests congregating in the corridors outside rooms and conversing with no care for others. Guests banging on room doors to their friends/family inside and then communicating through closed doors. As you can imagine they need to shout to be heard through the closed door.

It was OK. No real issues. Staff polite and helpful. Breakfast was acceptable. Room was a good size and clean. It has 3 places to eat although beware the India restaurant has loud music and dancing girls on a stage. It is close to the airport but far from the beach and marina. It is very close to the metro and so you can take that to get other parts of dubai and taxis are quite cheap (unlike beer).
