The hotel location was brilliant and the lobby very nice. We knew beforehand about the works going on at the hotel and these didn’t affect our stay. The room however was freezing cold with no working heating and a small electric heater was provided but totally insufficient.

The room and hotel is more of a 3 star than 4. Bed was comfortable, room was clean but a bit tired. Shower was over the bath and was too low for me so I had to bend over to shower. Staff were mostly nice with one exception who appeared to be arguing with her manager at the front desk at the time. Breakfast was excellent and is the only reason that I may return. I am back in Manchester in a couple of weeks and the same room is over £100 more so I am staying elsewhere. There are lots of good hotels in Manchester, others have been better.

Room was clean and well presented however the main let down was the temperature. It was very cold upon arrival and it was difficult to warm the room up. There had been a mobile heater left available to use in the room which suggests the hotel clearly was aware of the issue. Bathroom was clean but dated, and shower leaked onto the floor. Staff upon check in very friendly and welcoming and took time to inform us of directions to places around the city and recommend local points of interest.

The hotel is in a great location in the city center. The staff were welcoming, especially those at restaurant. I was disapointed that the room and bathroom wasn't cleaned to a high standard. Some areas in the room and bathroom like the sink and around the bath were obvious. Lack of towels in the room as we were only given one. The windows were also dirty, blurring the view outside. Its a great hotel but improvements will make it a much better experience.

Our recent stay did not meet the level of quality or hospitality we expected.
We arrived approximately 21 minutes prior to the stated check-in time and hoped to check in slightly early if the room was ready. Unfortunately, this was not possible. While we understand policies around check-in times, we were disappointed to learn that early check-in was unavailable without an additional fee, even if the room may have been ready. 21 minutes is not a time allowance that would warrant a fee.
The room itself appeared aesthetically tired. There was chipped paint in the bathroom, the mattress felt like cardboard and the bathroom door did not close securely without significant effort. These issues contributed to the overall impression that the room fell below the standard we anticipated.
We would normally choose to dine on-site; however, given the missing elements of expected hospitality and the overall condition of the room, we opted not to do so. The experience felt more in line with a budget-value accommodation rather than the quality advertised.
We hope this feedback is taken constructively and used to improve the guest experience going forward

Staff on reception were very efficient and helpful with my queries. The room was claen and comfortable. The only niggle was no.plug sockets either side if the bed though their are USB this didn't help as I had a C connection. The bathroom looked a bit 'tired' and could do with a refit. The bar and staff were very good. Breakfadt was excellent with a wide range of choice.

The room was dated and had a musty smell. The heating was broken and it was absolutely freezing - the best they could do was provide an extra duvet. We arrived at 1PM and were turned away to come back at 3PM without even checking if the rooms were ready. No bottled water in the room.

The room was incredibly neglected. The sink in the bathroom was leaking so we had to put towels down, and the bath also leaked after taking a shower. We were also given only one bath towel for 2 people. The room was tiny with poor lighting making it impossible for getting ready.

Due to that I checked out earlier & was at Manchester Piccadilly before 9am. Would have gone earlier if was light outside. No criticism with yourselves.

The staff were outstanding. 10/10. I really hate the new system for requests and contacting staff. You have to scan a qr code and go through several menus which aren’t clear or helpful and send a message having no idea if anyone is actually seeing it, because there’s no reply. I actually had to google the hotel # and call the front desk as the new system was useless. Also the rooms need updating, they’re looking tired and worn, though clean and well kept otherwise.

The stay was okay, just a few things that would like to feedback on.

The shower was very low and had to bend down to do my hair. Also the shower was leaking and created a puddle of water on the floor.

The double doors in the corridor outside made a loud band every time someone went through them. They did not seem to shut properly which caused the noise. If they are fire doors should shut properly.

Also had to pop down to reception twice as my card didn’t work. Was not keeping it by cards as advised it was in another pocket but still happened. Nice bar area and very friendly staff. Just a bit noisy with sounds from outside hotel.

One lift out of order, no access to accommodation floors by stairs so had to wait 15mins+ for the working lift.

Rooms very run down and dirty for the price. Cosmetic work done to the rooms at a very poor standard.

Check in process extremely slow followed by issues with key card.

Overall i would not recommended.

Hotel is being refurbished and rooms are OK.... Bathrooms very basic and the windows just not very nice. Biggest problem was that there are 15 floors that are served by max 3 lifts it's not enough... One was out of order for my stay making it even worse. Staying on the 10th floor often lifts would stop but already be full... Waited 10 mins...took the stairs but they were very poorly indicated and were like the back stairs to a 1940s council building.... Ended up going through a back corridor to find the dining room. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the breakfast was decent... So it's OK for a 1 night stay... Good location.... But don't go expecting comfort.... Expensive therefore for the quality on offer

Also after the lift ordeal my key card didn't work when I arrived to my room so needed to go back to reception to have it re coded

We were attending an event at the hotel and booked a room for the convenience. The hotel is in a great location It was for a special occasion and we had booked a suite. The room was very spacious but very dated. The bathroom we felt was not up to a good standard - there was moulding all over the bath tub / shower (which can be removed with the right cleaning equipment). The headboard was all marked and just the general attention to detail was not there. We waited for the lift for ages with other guests and so we took the stairs which was fine but again we’re not up to standard . Unfortunately we wouldn’t be staying again.

Was very close to Manchester Piccadilly station so within walking distance, is very clean & a very comfortable bed. Staff on the reception very pleasant, I woke up at 5.10am but couldn’t get back to sleep due to noise I heard roughly every 90 seconds (I was on the 11th floor). Only 2 small lifts, struggled to get on them at times - even though you want to go to a lower floor, you may find the lift goes up.

Good location for the hotel, overall the stay was satisfactory. However, on arrival the lifts took 25 minutes to arrive -one was out of order which left 2 lifts serving the hotel- we tried to take the stairs however only went to the 4th floor. Once we arrived in our room it was relatively clean but there was dirty full nappy bag (not ours and smelt quite strong) behind the bathroom door and every time you showered the bathroom flooded. Again, once we wanted to go out / leave the lifts took 20+ minutes to arrive. Okay stay but probably wouldn’t come again.

The room was OK, in desperate need of an update. The family room we booked (as a twin) only had a double bed, so had to request a 'put you up' bed.

The bathroom was 'tired' and the shower screen did little to prevent the bathroom floor becoming flooded

Easy to find, and great location. Car park was handy with easy access to lifts.
Reception staff friendly, but keycard machine wasn't working, then I was given wrong type of room so had to move.
Air Con was hopeless, but luckily had 2 fans in room. No fridge though (some family rooms had them, others didn't).
Bar staff were very good, despite running out of ingredients for most cocktails.

We originally booked a suite for our weekend stay which would’ve been nearly £180 for one night. When we checked in I immediately noticed how run down room was, the internal doors were all in terrible condition, they had chunks of wood missing, paint missing, the walls had so many marks on them.
When I checked the bathroom I was so shocked, it was filthy! I have photos to upload, the bath was filthy, it had hair, mould, scum and general dirt all around it and in it. The toilet wouldn’t flush, the side of the shower screen was absolutely disgusting. We went straight back down to reception where we were booked into a family room. This room was better, until it came to going to bed and as soon as I pulled the sheet back there was a huge stain, again I have photos, on the sheet! How on earth housekeeping are allowing these things to happen and pass their standards checks I have absolutely no idea!

Hotel & room were clean, fairly modern and well presented. I was disappointed to find a large fan in the room as it would appear the air con dial was broken and the panel above the door was missing exposing wires and electrical units. On enquiring at Reception I was informed the hotel didnt have air con but 'had an air circulation system' . In my view that's called air conditioning!

An average stay at best here. Overcharged on arrival (having to involve hotels.com to fix). WiFi is essentially non-existent, the rooms are tired, lack of plugs by the bed and walls are paper thin.
On plus side, the beds are comfortable.

Room was spacious and clean.my issue was no plug socket by bed,The wifi was bad either not working or dropping out signal and speed.Shower head was very loose and needed to be higher im 6ft and kept having to bend down.
AirCon did not work at all and with not much air intake from windows didnt help lucky it wasnt as hot out

The hotel was nice in public areas, lobby and breakfast area really good. The room was pretty good, a little tired around the edges but it had everything you needed, bed was comfy, bathroom clean, tea and coffee facilities available. We were next to the lift so could hear it cluncking a bit but otherwise it was very quiet. The ramp to the car park is a little hard to spot but parking was ok, get there early when its extra busy on a weekend. All in all it was good, the breakfast in particular was excellent and staff were all friendly
