Super basic hotel. Feeling unsafe with weird things always going on in the lobby. Small and disgusting shower and toilet with stained towels. Not worth the money at all!

Very old and dirty in the unit, lobby was clean. We had to use to fold out and I was afraid of bed bugs, the mattress was so gross! I went with blind faith that the blankets were clean and layered them on top. We asked for another duvet or blankets and was told they don’t have any. Did not eat breakfast, it looked like a small option for the price. The staff was friendly and answered directional questions. We were not close to restaurants or city center but the tram was close. Not sure I would stay here again.

A hotel is pointless if you can't get a good night sleep. This hotel faces a main street and the walls are glass. You hear every single car that drives on the street, as if you're sleeping outside. The rooms are not very clean. There is the appearance of cleanliness but when you look closer there's dust, crums, hair and spots on floors and furniture. This is a super basic place the equivalent of a Motel 6 in the US. The only positives: reception staff is super nice; parking on the site; 10 minute walk from Stade de la Maineau which is the only reason we booked this place (hubby went to a soccer game).

A budget stay for a family, but don't go there when its warm, you'll suffocate. We rented for four nights and didn't sleep the whole time. We couldn't get out early either so we had an awful stay.

Really a excellent stay at this hotel! Perfect for us as we had a car and just wanted to stay for 2 days!
The price, location, and free parking on the street was a hugenplus! The current management has really made huge efforts to change the perceptions of the bad reviews this hotel has received in the past.
The beds we very comfortable, the heat was much welcomed, hot showers, and working kitchen!
We would definitely stay again.

Very good place to stay without spending too much

Staff very pleasant and helpful, location mostly quiet (see below). 5 minutes walk to a tram stop on 2 routes whence direct to the city centre - each route having a tram every 15 minutes or less. Room perfectly adequate for my stay though paintwork a bit scuffed in places, but that didn't worry me. Only 2 plain hard chairs rather than \"comfy\" ones but fine to sit on at desk etc. Not a luxury hotel but not a luxury price! I parked free in the street outside but they also have a closed private parking area for extra charge. Cooking area OK - two rings, microwave, fridge, sink. Breakfast OK on the one day I had it in the breakfast room.

On Saturday night there was a football match at a stadium about half a mile away at 8 p.m so trams out to the stop before that nearest Cerise were very crowded and a lot of noise came from the stadium as one might expect from 20,000 people, but I experienced no problem - though there were a lot of extra cars parked everywhere.

This hotel is very much a budget hotel. The WiFi would not connect, the room was very HOT and the room was EXCEPTIONALLY dirty with dead insects as well as spiders. There was NO sound proofing - you could hear every car that drove by. We were NOT happy with this stay at all.

This property suited our needs but was in a strange semi industrial location. It did have pretty good access to the tram route and was pretty good value. Wifi only seemed to be stong enough to work in the reception area. Some needed equipment missing from kitchen but not too bad overall.

Hotel is a couple of kms from Ville centre and about a 3 minute walk to the tram stop. I had no problem walking from tram to hotel at night, but probably wouldn't be walking around back streets. Hotel has off street parking (gratiut) or parking on street as well.. You can take the tram outwards about 2kms to a very large shopping centre or about 2kms into heart of city. Cost for 24hr ticket is 3.80 eruo. Strasbourg as a city took me by surprise. It has some amazing buildings and history, I didn't allow anywhere enough time to take it in. Will return

Good value in Strasbourg

Booked an apartment which we found to be really good value. Ideal for families or small groups, included a kitchen with basic cooking equipment and cutlery as well as a dining area. Rooms where clean, decent size bathroom facilities (with a bath but no shower). The surrounding area is not the most scenic but very close to the tram (for which you can by tickets at reception) which is then only a 10 minute ride to the centre of Strasbourg. Decent continental breakfast buffet available as well. Would stay there again any time.

Overall the hotel was clean, the front desk very helpful and spoke english. The hotel charge 8 euros a day to park our car in a so called secure location. The location itself is made for travelers that spend all day sightseeing and just go to the hotel to sleep. For the cost the hotel is good but do not expect anything extravagant.

It is so far away from downtown.
The elevator was not working at night because we could disturb some of the guests whose rooms were right in front of the front desk!!!
The staff was not nice at all and they charge for internet 4 euros for 15 mins.
Breakfast is 8 euros and is not good and bad service

Cerise looks like a standard budget chain, but the staff were very friendly and eager to provide information about sites and events in Strasbourg. The hotel is very conveniently located - perhaps 2 minutes from the tram line that takes you directly to town, with the added benefit of free parking on the street, as well as paid secure parking should one need it. The room was a bit cramped, but we went for the budget option, so can't complain. Good for brief, budget stay in Strasbourg.

Rooms might be good for one person, but definitely not two - you cannot pull the trundle bed out without moving all of the furniture. While we paid for two people, the trundle bed was not made up and we had to argue to get a pillow! Rooms are super small.
Felt like a youth hostel - not a hotel.
Breakfast not worth the 8 Euro. Location is a bit marginal as it is in an industrial area, but only two blocks from tram. No eateries, restaurants or bakeries close to Cerise. Tram system in Strasburg is excellent.
We had to stay at this location as other locations had filled up over a holiday weekend. I wish we had stayed at a different hotel, even in a neighboring town.

Felt like a youth hostel - not a hotel.

Worst hotel ever

This hotel was awful- we checked in at 9pm and out at 6am- the only reason we stayed that long was because we drove nearly 12 hours and needed to sleep. I notified the front desk about the condition of our room upon check in and was told that he would alert the maid in the morning. The shower water was ice cold, the blankets were disgusting, and there was dirt everywhere.

Good choice overall

This is a modern hotel with new but modest furnishings. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the daily maid service is adequate. Travellers can borrow a hair dryer from the reception at no cost.

The rooms are a bit small and the location of the hotel is away from the centre of town however we had no difficulty getting to the sights we wanted to see. The in-room kitchenette proved very useful.

We arrived late at night and had some difficulty finding the hotel, automobilists should follow the Meinau Soccer Stadium directional signs as it is located less than half a kilometer away from the Hotel.

Overall a very good hotel, we would rate it as a three star hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Helpful Staff but Smoky Rooms

We recently stayed in the apartment for three nights with our baby.

PROS: the beds were surprisingly very comfortable, the location was in between Strasbourg and Illkirch-Graffenstaden (where my husband had a business meeting) and right on the tram line, the staff was very pleasant and helpful, the room had a nice small kitchen, and it is one of the cheapest hotels in Strasbourg.

CONS: Despite this being a non-smoking hotel, the rooms smelled of cigarette smoke, there were cigarette butts all over our balcony and the people next to us were constantly hanging out of their windows smoking. The location is outside of Strasbourg in a bit of an industrial neighborhood.

Overall, the room was clean and comfortable. However, the smell of cigarettes was very unpleasant, and because of that, unfortunately if we were to return to Strasbourg again we would stay somewhere else.

Cerise Strasbourg - Excellent for City Break

My wife, our 3 children and our friends used the Cerise Strasbourg for an overnight stop on our road trip to Austria from the UK. The appartments were spacious, clean and well appointed. With secure parking on site. The Hotel was excellently placed for a short tram trip into the centre of Strasbourg and we did not feel that the location of the hotel was a problem (even with a total of 4 adults and 5 children between the ages of 2 and 13). Strasbourg is a regulary overnight stop-off for us and we will definately be using the Cerise Strasbourg again.

the hotel was easy to find and on good location 5 mins tram to main city and other shopping areas, very close to German border ( kehl city), the staff was very good and cooperative,
only one drawback they don't change the bed sheets regularly, you have to ask them to change, in hot summer its very hot there but if you open the full window then the room becomes better to stay in.
i had a pleasant week there.

Cerise Strasbough - highly recommended

The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. Though the hotel is not located in the city centre, it located in a nice coountryside with peaceful and quiet enviornment. You can take the tram A from the station called Gare Centrale (direct assess to TGV station) to Lycee Couffignal. It takes around 15 minutes and you can see the hotel nearby. It takes 5 mins walk to the hotel.
I stayed there for three night and there's a small kitchen with cookingware that you can cook by yourself.
One thing to remind you is that there's no hair dryer in room and you'd better to bring by yourself.

Rude hotel staff and bad location - I'd never go back

Due to a failure made by the air plane company KLM, I missed my flight to Strasbourg on a Sunday and had to stay at an airport hotel in amsterdam. I called Cerise Strasbourg and explained the situation, and told them I'd be there the next day.

But when I showed up by noon on Monday, the hotel clerk told me a) There was no booking with my name and b) They hadn't got my phone call the night before. Eventually, she found my name and booking, but told me there was no room available for me. Since I was very tired after just a few hours sleep in Amsterdam, and since I had to be at the European parliament later that day, I asked her again if there really was no solution, She sighed and said Yes but only on the ground floor. is that very bad? I asked, and she looked at me as if I had insulted her...

To sum it up, the hotel lady had a really bad attitude and treated me like I was nothing but trouble. Also, the location was horrible, there's nothing to see and no restaurants in the neighborhood, and it's far away from town. Breakfast's not included in the room fee and WiFi only works in the reception. The room was super cold and the bed was tiny.

The Hotel was really clean and nicely modern equipped. In the studio there's even a kitchen corner with everything you need and a kettle.
The room was small and with two small beds for 2 people, but perfect for one night. There's was also a great working heater, so no points to complain.
The hotel has a parking area and the tram to the center is only a few minutes away.
The only think I complain about is the breakfast. Not well organised, there was not enough bread and even if we waited until they got some it wasn't enough for all... But as the breakfast is supplementary you can still go somewhere nice in the center to have it, so... At least the hotel people where very nice!

If you're travelling with a family and working to a budget this is a great place to stay. It has a workable kitchen(microwave no oven), it has a seperate bedroom and the apartments are nice. Some windows open all the way. At night i would NOT walk around, this is definitely not a safe area at night but during the day is fine. The tram is only a 2min walk across the parking lot. Two stops (4min max) to a large shopping centre, or if you head the opposite direction you can tram it to the city (15min).Buy the tickets at the tram a family pass (for 3) is around 6eu one way.

The coffee in the lobby is beautiful, don't count on the breakfast as its a few muffins, cereal and a coffee. The service is typical French and dont be expecting anything more. WATCH the washers I was absolutely ripped off. Try to avoid them or get the receptionist to do it as they will refuse to give your money back. There is a catch tot he washers - you're not told until after you put your money in and it's lost.

For a extremely cheap meal, go to the Shopping centre, the only restaurant out front, is awesome. Has a play area, cheap cheap meals and buffet style.. YUMMY!

Excellent value for money. But still think a lot could be done with the spacious bathroom, there were no shower curtains or any retraint for the water and splashes whatsoever. No extractors in the bathroom too. Made the bathroom an uncomfortable place. Moreso with children, and no room cleaning!
Nothwithstanding, the location, cleanliness and service received at the desk were superb!

This hotel is quite new, room was clean with great sheets and pillows on the bed. It had a small kitchen, and while it had various kitchen supplies, it did not have anything to clean dishes with. The place is nice and close to a tram stop, and was very good value for the money. Would definately recommend. A little hard to find though, and I hated that the bath / shower did not have a shower curtain or door (or a place to hang the spray noozle). Makes for wet floors. Great hot water though.

Very friendly to the business

Very friendly to the business traveler. All the facilities that you will need during your stay. (clen, free cable internet, proper desk, TV). Disent breakfast. Very well connected with public transportation (Trams A and E); one goes to the Gare Centrale and the other all the way to the European Parliament.
I don't know however how convenient will be the hotel for the leisure traveler, as during the week-end the reception doesn't work and there is no breakfast service.

Was hat uns gut gefallen? Freundlichkeit des Personals, Deutsch sprachige Rezeption, Tipps hinsichtlich Nahverkehr. Auch die Anbindung an die Strassenbahn ist sehr gut, mit der Linie A gelangt man in 10 Minuten ins Zentrum der Stadt bei einem Preis hin und zurück von 3,80 EUR pro Person. Die TRAM Station ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Auch die Parkmöglichkeiten sind sehr gut, da neben dem Hotel ein sehr großer Parkplatz ist. Die Größe der Zimmer war ausreichend groß und es gibt sogar eine kleine Kochnische. Was hat uns weniger gefallen? Die Türen der Zimmer werden mit einem Schlüssel geöffnet und man hörte das Öffnen bzw Schliessen der Tür von anderen Gästen (hellhörig). Die Dusche ist wirklich sehr klein, zumindest für etwas stabiler gebaute Personen. Eher kleines Thema: TV nur mit französischen Sendern und die Fernbedienung war doch schon recht ramponiert.

A notre arrivée le lit bébé n'était pas mis en place. J'ai dû me chercher et l'installer moi même. La chambre est correcte mais à des traces de vétusté. Nous étions 3 dans la chambre, il n'y avait pas de serviettes pour tout le monde.
Sinon dans la chambre nous n'avons pas entendu de bruit des éventuelles voisins. En revanche la chaleur obligeait d'ouvrir la fenêtre la nuit. Notre chambre donnant sur le parking cela était plutôt bruyant car beaucoup de personnes parlaient fort (après nous n'avons pas l'habitude de vivre en ville...)

L'appartamento è spazioso e comodo, ma l'hotel si trova in una zona in netto contrasto con la bellezza di Strasburgo centro che è facilmente raggiungibile in 10 minuti con tramway, tranne il 1/05 causa sospensione totale di ogni trasporto. Informazione non comunicata ma scoperta.

Dans l'ensemble était bien ☺️, le confort, l'emplacement, même l'appartement bien équipé, le seul problème c'est que le ménage n'es pas faite correctement, y a pleins étoile d'araignée partout on voit même les araignées qui se balade partout et les enfants a u peur , le rideau est trop sale. C'était le seul problème mais sinon prix raisonnable belle acceuil, en tout cas nous reviendrons.

Wir waren mit Familie da hatten ein geräumiges Zimmer. Wir sind nicht anspruchsvoll aber so manches ist auch an uns nicht vorbei gegangen. Dreckige Wände Staub an den Steckdosen.
Park Möglichkeiten direkt hinter den Hotel im Hof des Hotels kostenlos.
Paar min Flusslauf bis nächte Tram Haltestelle dort kann man sich am Automaten einen 3tages Pass kaufen alles unkompliziert. Mit der Linie A kommt man direkt in die Stadt und auch wieder zurück.
Frühstück Buffet vollkommen okay man braucht nicht viel ausfall soviel kann man sowieso nicht essen. Alles was man zum Frühstück braucht war da. Frühstück kostet 13 Euro pro Person Preis ist angemessen.
Wir hatten schöne Tage in Straßburg genauso wie wir uns es vorgestellt haben.

Die Bilder entsprechen nicht wirklich der Realität. Leider ziemlich alt und recht einfach .
Unter sauber stell ich mir etwas anderes vor. Es riecht auf den Gängen sehr sehr unangenehm.
Personal überwiegend sehr freundlich.
Wir haben nicht gefrühstückt daher kann ich dazu nichts sagen.

À proximité du tram , donc pratique pour aller en centre ville car sinon pas de commerce où lieux pour se restaurer.
Plutôt calme.

Le personnel a été très cordial mais il y a eu un problème de ménage. À notre arrivée la chambre est très sale, poussière et cheveux au sol. Pourtant les lits avaient été fais. Des araignées à plusieurs endroits, de la poussière ancienne dans certains coins. Dans la salle de bain il n'y a ni rideau ni panneau au niveau de la baignoire donc \"inondation\" à chaque douche. Il y a aussi des moisissures. Globalement l'hébergement est très vetuste, l'isolation thermique et phonique est nulle, il fait horriblement chaud et on a subi le bruit jour et nuit. Je ne recommande pas.

Einzigartig ist nur der Preis. Die Unterkunft hat Fenster nach Süden aber keine Klimaanlage. Es waren 35Grad im Zimmer und die Fenster konnte man wegen des Nachtclubs und der lauten Partygäste nicht öffnen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr abgewohnt. Die Türen quietschen und weisen Spuren roher Gewalt auf. Die Badewanne muss als Dusche genutzt werden und hat keinen Vorhang. Dementsprechend ist das Bad nass, nach dem Duschen. Die Badmöbel sind von der Feuchtigkeit schon total kaputt und es gibt keine Abluft. Deshalb riecht es im Bad nach Schimmel. Fazit: die schlimmste Unterkunft seit langem. Nochmal werden wir dort nicht schlafen. Expedia sollte die Unterkunft nicht mehr vermitteln.
