It was great EXCEPT for trying to sleep as road noise outside Room 415 was so inexcusable!! Went to bed at 8:30 pm & couldn’t go to sleep…tried & tried but the noise was unbearable!! Got up, got dressed at 9:30 pm & left to drive 1.5 hours back home!!! I certainly should be credited as I DID STAY OVERNIGHT!!

The stay was good overall, clean hotel, nice area, the only negative, they put us in a room at the end of the building between the parking lot and main road, noise all night, didn't sleep well at all, listening to traffic, ambulances and sirens all night. Also bartender had no personality, not very friendly, and you need better wine glasses, they are tiny and need upgraded. Front desk was very friendly.

My 3 day stay was wonderful, like a vacation. Staff inquired often as to how things were going for me. I didn't have breakfast at the motel which is why I didn't rate it. I did enjoy the nicely stocked bar. There was a large & yummy supply of food available to buy. My room was clean, completely quiet, spacious. The bathroom was well-equipped with ZERO pure shower, hair & lotion products. The TVs were equipped for many kinds of 'watching'. There was easily a half dozen places to dine within 10 min walking distance. The town was delightful. A 15 - 20 min walk. I highly recommend this lovely motel!

Dishonest and Evasive- stay away!

Booked this Hotel through Hotels.com two hours before arrival.
When I got there the receptionist told me it was booked for three days later and that she wouldn’t accommodate me unless I paid a rate nearly 100% more than the original.
I asked to cancel the Sunday booking and she said she could not and it had to be done by Hotels.com.
I then had to find another hotel.

Contacted HDC and they said the opposite; that it needed to be cancelled by the Hotel.
Tried for two days to get the date cancelled and was told it was non refundable. They charged my CC account today for the date and then sent me this review request.
Total scam. I not my family nor my businesses will NEVER use HDC or stay at a Hilton hotel again.

Our family had a wonderful stay. We enjoyed the pool that started at 3ft - it allowed our youngest to touch the bottom. The beds were comfortable, rooms clean, breakfast good (better than most \"complimentary\" breakfasts I've had, staff friendly, and parking plentiful. I didn't love the pillows, wish I would have brought my own. Overall everything was great!

Our only complaint is the fact that a night light was installed at the entry to the toilet. This came on automatically when it got dark. As far as we could tell, there was no way to switch this off. We like a dark room to sleep. This bright night light made that difficult.

Nice room. Very clean. Only complaint would be that the heavier curtains don't close all the way and the room stays very bright at night. There is also a strong vibration coming from somewhere and you can not only hear it, but actually feel it through the floor and walls- might be the AC system. It is also very close to the freeway and while that is very convenient, there is quite a bit of traffic noise all night long.

It has the best breakfast I've ever seen at a hotel. There's an ice cream shop right across the street, which is fun. We didn't use the pool but it looked great. The fitness center is nice.

On our first night, I believe her name was Jasmine working the front desk...she was so sweet in helping with a silly tv remote issue and just making our check in smooth. From there, ALL the staff acknowledged us as we were coming and going. Our one complaint: the pool was freezing!

Very comfortable stay. Within walking distance of \"downtown\" Davidson and the campus and also an easy walk to the North Harbour restaurant where I was dining with a group. Breakfast and bar area is attractive, and the breakfast was pretty good, especially the tortilla option. Bar was quite good. Room was spacious. Decorated to the hilt with a nautical motif, which was nice but somewhat amusing for someone who remembers when there was no Lake Norman. My only small gripe is that all four pillows very soft and squishy, and I prefer firmer ones.

The thing that is preventing me from giving a higher rating is that no one cleaned our room or brought new towels during our stay. It is understandable to not do housekeeping on Thanksgiving, but not the other days. We called the front desk one morning to have new towels brought in, and they were not delivered. My wife had to get them from the front desk that evening.

We came here from the Kimpton in downtown charlotte after having a miserable time and this was such a reprieve, we even tried to extend our stay by a night but it was fully booked. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Expedia canceled my reservation. My wife and daughter had to sleep on the airport floor due to the fact that weather conditions meant that all hotels in Charlotte were sold out. I will never use Expedia again.

This was a very nice suite. The layout was more like a one bedroom apartment with its separate bedroom and living room. The kitchen had ever essential needed for a quick meal. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I noted Homewood Suites by Hilton in my home office to look for them in future travel. The only negative I found was that the bathroom could use a dim light, in addition to the bright overhead, for use in the middle of the night.

Stayed before when niece at Davidson college. Very nice. Great location for shopping, dining. Harris Teeter. It was very expensive , more that past probably due to college orientation started. Over $400 a night. Wouldn't stay multiple nights at that price and only available nice hotel in area for visiting family one night. Breakfast excellent. Bacon. Eggs etc... desk staff extremely helpful and friendly. Very welcoming.

While the staff at the front was always friendly and helpful, the cleaning crew continuously forgot to leave new clean towels after cleaning the rooms. Breakfast quality has improved the more we have stayed but the low quality sausage choice, hard dry french toasts and stiff pancakes leave a lot to be desired
