The good reviews that I saw on this hotel were spot on. This is a really clean cozy and comfort hotel. Rooms are pretty modern some of the furniture is a little dated but those things are easily upgradable. It was a good and affordable pric; I got my money's worth.

The room was clean. However, both the bathroom and closet doors were missing a number of screws in the hinges. And the closet door would not close completely. And the breakfast needed work. The food was just lying in the pans of grease. They needed something (a screen) to keep the food from absorbing all the grease.

The first room was dirty, the second one had someone in it already. The desk clerk was amazing and upgraded my room to one with a jacuzzi after this. Didn't get to use it but room was very clean and citrus body products were provided.

Breakfast was good and steadily replenished. I would definitely stay here again. There is also a $100 deposit for incidentals that you get back

Overall, Great! But....

Overall great stay. My only knock is that the only available parking is around back with ZERO lighting. Serious safety concern here. Also, i ventured out around midnight and returned shortly after to find I didn't need my key to gain access to the building. Oh and my sink stopper was stuck in the closed position.

Quick overnight stay

We stopped on our way from driving to Florida. We arrived around 1:30am in the morning. We called to let them know. Check in was quick with no stress.

After booking the hotel we read some of the horror reviews and were worried. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. Staff were friendly and checked us in quickly.

Room was a little tired but was clean, beds were comfortable and we had no issues.

Breakfast was good. Eggs, Belgium waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, bacon, yoghurts, juice, toast, bagels, English muffins, fruit and cereal and coffee. It was a solid reliable breakfast. No complaints.

Would stay again as a quick stop on longer journey. We stayed in room 125 on the left side of the property.

I’m so unhappy !!!! I booked this hotel that was more money a night than a different hotel because it had a pool. Well the pool was not open for the three days we were there. It was in the high 90’s each day I was there.When asking the front desk I got told they don’t know why or when it will be opened. They did not do any housekeeping the entire time we were there. I got told they don’t do housekeeping services until day 4. Could not even get them to give us fresh towels.
Breakfast was never restocked. When it was out it was out.
So we never got breakfast.

Elevator not working, staff refused to change rooms to accommodate elderly and handicapped saying they couldn’t because it was booked through a third party. Pool filthy and not useable , patio furniture still stored and full of mold in the pool pump house that was open with access to all pool chemicals. Clump of hair in bathtub and old soap wrapper. Toilet continued to run and flush itself. Fire alarm went off at midnight due to a microwave and staff turned off fire alarm.

I reserved two rooms at this hotel for my family, and I have to say I'm sorry that we stayed here. The furniture in the lobby is old and worn out and needs badly replaced. One room has that smell you smell when your dog needs a bath. The other room had a large bug in it running on the carpet that my family killed. There is no soap dish in the bathrooms to hold the bar of soap, the tub stopper isn't connected to the bathtub as it should be. One room didn't even have a phone to call the front desk with. This is a very, very basic place and not as nice as most other places that I've stayed during my lifetime. The reason that I chose this place was mainly due to price, but the old saying of \"you get what you pay for\" definitely applies here. The pool is empty and when I asked the desk clerk why it's not in service, I was told they are trying to get it working, but no end in site as of now. I won't stay here again, and I wouldn't recommend it to others.

The stay here was very disappointing. The hotel advertised free breakfast, yet they ran out of waffle mix, bagels and yogurt. They knew the hotel was near capacity for the long holiday weekend yet did not plan accordingly.

We stayed on the 3rd floor. The ice machine in the hall ran loudly ALL NIGHT long.

The lobby was dingy and could use a really good clean. The carpet throughout was old and smelly.

I didn't expect much staying at a Best Western, even one being advertised as a Best Western Plus, but this so far below standards to be extremely disappointing.

My room was okay…I was very disappointed in the continental breakfast. It probably would have been nice if the food was replaced as it went down. They stop at 9am. I went at 8:15 am and no eggs or sausage, waffle mix out and no coffee. I waited 20 minutes in a cup of coffee. And the breakfast area was not clean…food everywhere. I’m used to someone at the continental breakfast area looking after it and wiping down things as people make a mess but there was not anyone there managing it.

Pretty Average Hotel

It is pretty average for the price. The breakfast was so, so and the lobby furniture was a bit worn. We had a comfortable room, but it wasn't as clean as I would like. The sink part of the bathroom is very small. The staff was friendly, however, we noticed the front desk was vacant for long periods and we noticed guests standing at the desk for several minutes with no one coming to help.

Upon arrival, our phone did not work. We discovered that it was unplugged. We had no remote control for tv. I went to front desk for help and called the front desk an hr. after receivi ng no help. At 1030 p.m., we received a call tha they could come up to look for remote. We had been in bed for 1/2 hr by then. The next morning I went to desk and got a remote.
The breakfast was terrible. No coffee, eggs looked like pancakes, waffle mix was limited, juice was watered down. Asked for coffee. Attendant came out with a carafe of cold coffee.
That evening when we returned to our room, neither of our room keys worked. I went to front desk again. They had to rekey our room cards.
There were only 2 threadbare towels in the bathroom. I asked for more towels and soap from the young man with a cleaning cart. He had no idea what I was saying. We had to use a translation program on his phone.
We were very disapointed in our stay as were other travelers. Everyone that we talked to said that this particular Best Western was the worse one that they had ever stayed in. I am sorry for such a bad resonse, but we decided that we will never stay in a Best Western again.

They did not have shampoo the entire time (I was here for several days). I asked for shampoo at the front desk, and they kept bringing me conditioner, soap, hand sanitizer, lotion, etc. But no shampoo. I could tell they were trying to be helpful, but clearly did not have much support from management.
I feel like being able to shower and clean oneself is a fundamental part of staying at a hotel. The way they stock shampoo/conditioner is outdated - tiny bottles, about the size of a thumb, with only a little liquid inside. This does not work for anyone that does not have super short hair.
Would recommend updating their showers to the same status as other hotels, with mounted shampoo/conditioner/soap full-size bottles with pumps, so people can get as much or little as they need. This will save the customers and front desk a ton of headache, as well as reduce needless waste of so many useless tiny bottles.

Everything about this place was horrible! Broken lights in room, fan in bathroom didn’t work, shower valve was faulty, toilet seat, extremely loose.
The breakfast was a huge disappointment! Coffee maker was broken, juice machine didn’t work properly, no hot water for tea, waffle maker wasn’t working properly…and the bread and bagels had been left out overnight!
Washer and dryers were not working properly!
A very very bad experience… complaining did absolutely nothing! Would never recommend this place 😫

Good location to venue at Rural Hill. Quiet stay. Breakfast had several options but because of staffing issues it is not kept stocked. Seems like food, plates and utensils are stocked once when items are put out and not refilled even when they continue to have patrons that want to eat. If a convenience that you offer with a patrons stay is breakfast then it should be stocked during breakfast hours.

Stopped here on my way home from Florida. Read reviews which seemed ok. But in reality, it was horrible. The place smelled like food. Luckily the window opened but the smell still lingered all night. The bed was extremely lumpy. We glanced at the free breakfast - I tried opening the fridge to get a yogurt and it was locked and the juice machine did not work. I get the impression some people live at the hotel as well. I am regretting stopping and wasting the time trying to get some sleep instead of driving through the night.

Internet did not work in room we were first given, had to change to another room. Toilet in new room did not flush properly and took 10 minutes to refill. Breakfast area could have been cleaner and there was no bacon or Sausage offered even though it was supposed to be a hot breakfast.

The electric in the room was horrible. I unplugged my laptop from the wall and the lights on the opposite wall stopped working. I hit the wall and they came back on. Neither the thermostat or heat/ac worked because there was no electricity to them The walls are paper thin.

I looked for a pet friendly motel when I was traveling. I called 2 days before my arrivel to ask if pets were allowed. The women who answered the phone had heavey accent and I am bit hard of hearing so she had to repeat her answer a couple of time before I understood. She stated \"theyre allowed\" and hung up.
When I checked in, there was a $120.00 fee added to my room through Expedia for pet cleaning. I was shocked and said I didnt see that when I perused the motel rooms and amenities. I also told them I've never payed more then $50.00 ahead of a stay with a pet at any Best Westerns I stayed at. They agreed to a $50.00 pet fee.
When I got to the room I'd driven over 8 hrs, it was 6 pm or so and I had stopped and had gotten a food to eat. I ate then realized the rooms carpeting was filthy. I wouldnt take my shoes off to walk on it.
There were no bugs and was I leaving in the morning so I stayed. When I was bringing my stuff up to the room I saw fruit loops on the floor in front of the elevator. The fruit loopes were not cleaned up until around 7am even though there were 2 different front desk clerks in full view of the elevator and breakfst room where the food was served. I decided if they were that lazy I was not eating there. Needless to say I wont be staying there on my return trip home. Never stayed at a Best Western this dirty.

Avoid This Hotel Like The Plague

Avoid this hotel like the plague. Manager Hanil Patel committed to reimbursing for the night due to horrible experience - a month later has not happened. Toilet did not work (told by front desk to use the bathroom in the lobby - that was the solution), moldy unfinished sheetrock by shower, phone did not work to call front desk, plugs did not work to charge phone, elevator had spilled coffee all over floor for about 12 hours (nobody cares), breakfast was a mess (not a single clean table - all the food was out). Horrible experience. Avoid.

Room was clean & comfortable. A/C cold, shower hot my only concern would be the pillows…. One bed had a regular pillow and two very small pillows. The other bed only had three very small pillows. We had to ask the front desk for more, which they gave no problem…. Just seemed odd

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOLE!

It SUCKED! If you're looking for a good night's rest you're after after a long drive, this is NOT the hotel you should pick! We were on our way from Miami, headed back home to Toronto and made the mistake of booking this hotel. Everything that can go wrong with a hotel DID go wrong with this one.

Ironing board was there not the iron was missing. One of the 2 queen beds had a sicken 10x10\" are in it. Sitting on the bed, I could hear the springs. The bathroom had zero toiletries and I went back down to the front desk to pick up Tony bottles of shampoo, conditioner and a small face bar to shower with. Ice maker, coffee machine, vending machine in the lobby, all had signs of \"not working, sorry for the inconvenience\". The orange juice dispenser option on the juice machine dispensed water. The only thing the breakfast had going for it was the bread and bagels. Book this hotel if you want to spoil the rest of your trip.
