3rd visit to The Palace, and again such a lovely experience. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Stayed in the adjacent building, which was lovely with Castle view. Parking limited, but parked with ease.Spa facilities a bonus.
Excellent location.
Both my daughter and I now have this as our favourite hotel in Inverness.

The best hotel on our Scottish travels. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. My wife who is not very mobile found movement around the hotel excellent for her needs and staff helped in ensuring diable parking available Dinner and breakfast service and food choices also excellent.

Had a very enjoyable stay. The room and facilities were lovely.

Only complaint was there was a dog barking on my second night and some noise from other people staying in the hotel.

The gym and swimming pool were very nice. Close proximity to lots of places to eat in the city centre. The hotel is situated in a Beautiful spot looking at the castle and the best view down the river Ness.

The Spa onsite is a welcome.
The charging station was electric cars were not fully functional but staff did try to reserve one for me.

All perfect apart from booking our meal in the evening in the restuarant .I booked the meal the guy in the bar wrote it down but on arrival in the evening the staff had no record of our booking .Eventually we did get a table but i noticed others were turned away for the same reason .What i will say is the restuarant staff were excellent and pulled out all the stops for us .I always tuse the Palace Hotel but this did not go down well .Of course the meal was excellent .

Definitely a lot of positives, the place looks great, includes the spa. The staff are great. The negatives was the wifi was hit and miss and when your phone signal is poor this is a nightmare. The layout of the breakfast is very poor, customers and staff moving in all directions leading to a shambles. Also a decent lager like peroni wants adding to the bar.

The room itself was impressive and very comfortable. However, the soundproofing wasn’t great — we were woken at 5am by the room above having a shower; it genuinely sounded so close it felt like the water was coming through the ceiling!

It may not be an issue for everyone, but there were a lot of stairs and the room wasn’t located in the main hotel building. This meant going outside to access the bar and restaurant, and unfortunately getting wet in the process. I would have preferred the option of staying in the main part of the hotel.

Breakfast was adequate, although I was given a decaf coffee instead of the tea I had ordered. On a positive note, the view of the castle was absolutely amazing and really made up for the inconveniences.

The spa facilities were good, although we weren’t provided with robes in he room whereas other guests appeared to have them, which was slightly disappointing.

Meal in evening was so nice, and staff efficient and friendly.
I didn't use the pool facilities this time, but would recommend based on previous stay.
Breakfast buffet excellent.
Excellent location.
Parking issue quickly resolved.

The hotel is nice with great amenities. The area around the hotel is great with both cheap & fancier restaurants, bars, coffee shops, grocery & convenience stores, and novelty/clothing stores. The castle was not open during my stay, unfortunately, but the proximity from it to the hotel is ideal. The front desk, bar, and restaurant staff were all very cordial.
The main issue I had with the hotel was its squeaky floors -- possibly a cold-weather event in Scotland as I faced this a couple times before in other cities. The morning I was checking out and packing, the guest below me came up to request I stop moving about my room because he was hearing my walking-about! Not an ideal experience there.

Hotel is right next to river ness. Near plenty of food and coffee shops. About a 10 min walk to the train station.

Hotel is old and needs updating, especially for the nightly rate. My room was also pretty far away from lobby/main building. Lots of hallways and doors to go through to get to my room. If not for the closeness to the train/ rabbies pick up location it would be less stars.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, our weekend getaway felt truly special. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, nestled right by the river, with stunning views of Inverness castle and just steps away from the high street, fantastic restaurants, the Cathedral and plenty of places to explore. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated for Christmas creating a warm and festive atmosphere from the spectacular entrance with its high windows and inviting fireplace. Our room in the turret was cosy and confortable and waking up to beautiful views of the castle was an absolute highlight! We made the most of the hotels amenities including the swimming pool and the jacuzzi! Although we didn’t book any spa treatments the spa area looked truly luxurious and inviting. What made our stay truly memorable was the outstanding service form Louise at the reception. She greeted us with a beaming smile, shared jokes and made us feel genuinely welcome form the start. Louise provided helpful info about the hotel and the city answering all of our questions with enthusiasm and care.

Breakfast good,not outstanding. Parking was a bit of a faff. Otherwise everything was excellent. Lovely public areas, good food, we had a lunch for seven people and the food was very good. The hotel was lovely and warm and so close to the city . But the best thing was the staff who were all so helpful and friendly. Would book again .

I had high hopes for this hotel, but it was a bit of a letdown. My first experience checking in was dealing with the lack of parking. Their very small lot was full and the front desk was not very helpful in finding an alternative. I chose this hotel because it had a parking lot. Instead, I ended up having to park 3 blocks away in a very tight, paid lot. Needless to say, the first experience was frustrating. Our room was adequate. The breakfast was okay. The location was convenient and quite walkable, which was nice. If I visit Inverness again, I’ll choose another accomodation.

The bed was terrible. It had buttons in it that stuck in your back and it was hard as a rock and the pillows were thin like paper. I even ordered up a third one and it didn’t help the alarm went off at 6 AM in the morning and it was a false alarm, there was jackhammering on the side of the wall for hours.

Ridiculously priced

This hotel put on the show, red carpet and porter service. It looked good and the staff were lovely.
However when I was led to my room, I had to go outside to a different building, up a narrow set of stairs to a single bed in the eaves. The room was fine and clean… if it had been less than £100. However this hotel charges more than double that and it’s not worth that money at all.

An old fashioned hotel resting on its laurels, we had nicely furnished comfortable room with great views of the castle but at “London” prices. As to the Scots habit of being penny wise and pound foolish - why no antislip rubber mat if you have to shower in the bath? One arrived eventually but at what risk of 83 year old slipping and breaking something? OK it was Sunday so you can’t expect everything but dinner was definitely for the coach trip passengers who arrived soon after us and breakfast reflected that. You learn by your mistakes

Extremely strict about 3pm check in, consequently a few people hanging around check-in desk for a couple of hours waiting for room ( I fin Parking not great and often entrance blocked in with deliveries etc. The weather was beautiful the room was very hot even with 2 fans in room.

Many of the hotel rooms are in the basement. Rooms are very small and walls paper thin. Could hear the people and TV on the other side. Very expensive stay. You are better to stay in Old Edinburgh for restaurants and shopping for the price of this hotel.

The property is on the river Ness, across from Inverness Castle and nearby multiple bars, restaurants, cafes, and a Tesco grocery store. Guest parking is available at no extra charge to guests. Staff are polite, and considerate of guests' needs. We made use of the pool and hot tub during our stay. They have an excellent hotel gym, spa, sauna, and steam room to boot. We would stay again!

Our stay was very, very nice. Our room overlooked the river, and was bright and sunny. Front desk staff was very accommodating and met all our needs. My only suggestion is that since there are so many elderly people touring there, that you install safety grab bars in the shower at waist height. Otherwise our stay was fantastic!

Location was beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful . Didn’t like no ac in room. Slept with out covers as too hot in room. Tower fan in room was not enough. Room smelled very musty. No easy access for plug in receptacles (had to move night tables to access. Pillows were very thin and uncomfortable. Definitely substandard room for advertised price. Will not recommend this hotel to others.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room large and well furnished.

However, the shower room was far too small, and inconvenient to use. I am not abnormally large yet I had a problem getting into and out of the shower cubicle and sitting n the toilet was a squeeze, the basin small, and the toilet roll was on a stand in front of the mask basin!

It was great to have a charging points for the electric car, but it was far too complex to operate.

Such a shame in such a good hotel and great location.

No mention of extensive external works being carried out for a prolonged period of time. Scaffolding surrounding the building - not only a safety concern for the bedroom window, poor views of Inverness. The “car park” facility is compromised by the works. Having many of the spaces taken up by building supply storage. Had to use a public car park - paid for. Travelling for work means that I don’t want to be far from my vehicle or have supplies with me. The reason for choosing this hotel was the onsite parking. Which was not adequate.

Bed was a very small double - extremely uncomfortable.

Was asked twice regarding coffee and toast. Never came. Sausages were gristly.

Loovely hotel i am just fussy thing bathroom should have hand rail in shower as i am very unstead on feet but not safe for older people even although they gave me a shower mat but not very long as walk in shower was long . The bathroom could do with hooks for hanging wet towels as no where to put all the towels just one towel rail but hotel seems nice i am just fussy

My weekend away.

Great location. Hotel is beautifully clean and cosy. Only issue maybe was the parking situation. Only a few spaces available that we never managed to park in. There were a few parking spaces a few minutes walk away that had been allocated for the hotel but not ideal if you’re elderly or disabled. Overall a very happy customer who had a relaxing stress free stay.
