Our stay at The Venice Times was wonderful. The location, right near Venezia Santa Lucia Station, could not have been better! The room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and quiet. We really enjoyed the hotel breakfast, too! All the staff were incredible kind. We will absolutely be back to stay at The Venice Times again!

The hotel is 5 mins walk from train station which makes it easier for us to drag our luggages. Staffs are friendly. Breakfast is delicious and thoughtful although not a lot of variety.

We has a fabulous stay at The Venice Times Hotel for 2 nights. Alberto the reception manager was competent and entertaining at the same time as he introduced the various places to go in Venice, as well as answering whatever queries we have for him over the 2 days. Eldr the lady at the breakfast place was also warm and meticuolous in her work, keeping tabs on details and preferences such as how we want our daily coffee done and always keeping an eye to ensure we enjoyed our meals. The location is also superb if you come by train, just a 3 minutes’ walk away in a quiet spot where we can rest fully. Will definitelt stay at this place again the next time we are in Venice.

This review is for a 4-person suite, which might differ from other rooms.
The hotel offered a spacious room and was ideally located, very close to both the train station and the ferries/boats, which made it convenient for getting around. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was decent (7/10), offering a reasonable variety.

However, there were a few issues. The first room we were given was quite noisy in the mornings, which was a bit disruptive. The mini bar was disappointing — it only contained two bottles of water (not free), and the fridge was too warm. In fact, the fridge in the first room was not only dirty but also had a bad smell, possibly due to high temperature inside. I showed the photo and video to the receptionist who was also shocked to see it in that condition. I had to clean it with alcohol myself for the night.

They did move us to a different room on a higher floor which was quieter and had a better view and a cleaner fridge.

Overall, the location and staff were very nice, but the mini bar and noise issues could definitely be improved.

They have several walk up rooms so make sure you ask in advance NOT to have one of these…..Unless you don’t care. If you have a pullout couch also tell them in advance to make it up since they do not have regular staff to help and they all pitch in alternating jobs to help. It is very close to train station and the cruise port for smaller ships as well as the ferry system so a good choice for our trip. The front desk was as helpful and friendly as possible with great restaurant suggestions and getting you to where you had to be. I would stay there again but would not stay in a walk up room.

From the moment of our arrival, I’ve never felt so welcomed to a hotel. Alberto greeted us with a smile and was so pleasant. He checked us in but he didn’t inundate us with too much information. He said come back after unpacking and then he’ll give more information about Venice. He then gave us information about where to eat and what to visit since this was our first time in Venice. We had delicious food at the restaurant he recommended and even followed his suggestions on what to order.

All the staff were so friendly. I wish I asked for more names. Angela at the breakfast buffet, which was excellent was very attentive.

Thank you The Venice times for a lovely first time in Venice. I hope to return and stay there again.

We had a lovely stay at The Venice Times hotel. The hotel has a great location and is only a short walk away from Piazzale Roma (a major bus/train stop right outside of the inner city). This made both accessing public transpiration so easy and transporting our bags to the hotel as quick and convenient as it could be. The building was very nicely designed, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean and comfortable. While the hotel is nestled into a quite side street, there are many restaurants, shopping opportunities, sightseeing destinations and more just a short walk away. It was truly a perfect accommodation for what we were looking for. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Venice!

Breakfast was good. Other than that, place was not very good and wouldn’t recommend. No working air condition in room 2 nights I stayed. Was hot and stuffy. Bathroom so narrow and tiny. Have to walk sideways. No counter space in bathroom. No Kleenex. Shampoo made my hair gross. Towel had someone's black hairs in it. First receptionist was rude. I was checking in and some others came to checkout. She asked me to wait to help them after she was already helping me. When I came back downstairs to ask her something, another couple was checking in but she completely ignored me and didn’t give me the same courtesy. The guy who checked me out around 5am was half asleep. Alberto was nice and gave some good suggestions on things to see in the area. Other guests in hotel were very noisy late in the night and early in the morning. Very rude. Area around hotel was nice and quiet.
