I was in Paris for 5 days and this hotel was a last minute decision as I decided to extend my trip. I would not recommend staying here, the staff is unhappy. When I was checking in the receptionist was rude and told me he reserved a taxi for the airport but then I later came to find out that the taxi was not reserved. I will give kudos to the 2 evening receptionists, a woman and a man, who helped me reserve a last minute taxi. Overall, I will say that there are nicer hotels in better areas in Paris, I’m not sure how this hotel has 4 stars.

I’m very disappointed with our recent stay here at Hotel Residence Foch which really affected our overall vacation experience. I rarely write a comment but I’m so dissatisfied hence the comment. This is my second time in Paris and 3rd hotel I’ve stayed at in Paris and by far the worse. The other 2 hotels I stayed are true 5-start hotels. This one is not a 4-star. First of all, the pictures do not justify the actual condition of the room that we booked - superior double/twin room. We stayed there for 5-nights in Mid- July. We traveled with our 2 1/2 year old daughter. When we checked in staff were friendly and we got in our room we already noticed the air conditioning was not working. Not only that but we can barely fit in the hallways with our luggages. The room itself is literally a bed with very narrow walk way around the room and a bathroom that’s it. No seating area at all. We asked to have the A/C to be fixed but all they said is it’s centralized and they have adjusted the thermostat already but it’s obvious the temperature stayed the same. We called about this a few times with no resolution. We also called to be moved to another room but were told that they are fully booked and if we want a bigger room that we have to pay extra $400 more per night. We pre-paid for our full 5-nights and had we not done we would’ve left to another hotel. But we settled because it’s inconvenient to have to pack our things and move again with a toddler and we also traveled with my in-laws.

Friendly Staff, But Definitely Not a 4-Star Hotel

While the reception team was friendly and tried to be helpful, this hotel simply does not meet the expectations of a 4-star property.

The first room we were given was literally the size of a closet, with dated carpeting and barely enough space for our luggage and two carry-ons.

After voicing our concerns, we were moved to a larger room—but not without snarky comments from the front desk.

The \"upgraded\" room had its own issues: the closet was so tiny we couldn't close the door with jackets hanging inside.

No individual shampoo or shower gel: just a single wall-mounted dispenser labeled \"Shampoo/Shower Gel\"—neither of which was effective.

Weak and intermittent Wi-Fi in the room; we had to go down to the reception area just to get a decent connection.

Tissue holder empty for two days...

Small Shower towels.

The TV remote was missing the battery cover, so the batteries kept falling out.

Breakfast was disappointing and definitely not worth the €18 per person they charge.

In short, this stay was far from the quality and comfort one would expect from a 4-star hotel. Friendly staff alone can't make up for outdated rooms and lacking amenities.

Really nice hotel boutique, great service, everything looks well taken care of. The neighborhood is really nice and feels safe. Walking distance from the Arch de Triomphe and the Champs Élysées avenue. The breakfast is worth the money to have a convenient and relaxed alternative.

Although the staff were extremely courteous and kind, all other aspects of the hotel were very subpar. Our towels and bedding had stains on them. Our refrigerator did not work and the minibar was not restocked. The TV could not connect to the Internet so we were not able to watch any of our shows. Just the overall experience we had with the room left a lot to be desired. I would not recommend staying here when visiting Paris.

Uncomfortable Nights Due to Inadequate A/C

During my recent stay at Residence Foch, I encountered significant issues with the air conditioning system. The rooms were uncomfortably hot, and the A/C couldn't be adjusted to a cooler setting. While the system wasn't broken, its inability to be changed made it impossible to create a comfortable sleeping environment.

As a result, I had to sleep with the window open, which led to a lot of noise from the street disrupting my sleep. The noise from nearby partying and street activity woke us multiple times throughout the night, further impacting our rest.

On a positive note, the hotel itself is nice, the staff is friendly, and the room service is excellent. However, the inflexible A/C system and the resulting noise issues significantly affected my overall experience. I hope the management can address these concerns to improve the comfort for future guests.

Staffs are friendly. Beds are comfortable. Location is further than from what I would prefer. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the popular shopping area. Although there are some restaurants and grocery stores close by. One complaint is that the apps on smart TV are not able to connect even one of the staffs came in and tried. Another TV couldn’t work. It’s not big deal for us but I am sure some family would really appreciate it.

The hotel is fine for a short stay in Paris. My 3 star rating is because there was a hole in the wall in my bathroom. It's clear that it was for access to some pipes, but it could have been tidier and properly secured. It was very off-putting to know that the room wall has a hole in it, with only a loose tile covering it.

Very bad experience. They moved us to a 3 star hotel without even informing us in advance. They said that there is a technical problem with our room only having no water. I asked for the same 4 star hotel replacement but she said there is none available at the price I paid for (of course it is a last minute booking vs what I paid for 3 months ago). She said my option was a refund or to be moved to the 3 star hotel which happens to be owned by the same company. So either option leaves me short handed. The lady was not even sympathetic to our situation and sounded very condescending. I will never book with this hotel again.

Convenient location, only a few minutes walk to the metro stations. The neighborhood is also very safe, and I don’t feel any uncomfortable walking from the station back to hotel after midnight. Very friendly staff. Book the suite and it’s beyond my expectations for the price.

Great Service Good Location

The hotel’s location is close to the M1 metro station, many cafes and patisseries, and Arc de Triumph. All within a 10 to 20 minute walk from the hotel. The staff service was excellent. When we arrived, we were surprised to find that the top floor room required us to climb two flights of stairs above where the elevator stopped and that the coffee maker was not working. The next morning the hotel manager volunteered to move us to another nicer room on a lower floor. They had our luggage moved by the time we returned from site seeing. Could not ask for better service.

It was a rip-off I accidentally book February 4-6 and it was supposed to be march 4-6 I try since the same day that I book to change the reservation and was willing to pay extra and the people from the hotel insisted that they couldn’t do nothing and keep escalating until now just to rob me of my money. Its a shame Orbitz work with this kind of hotels. Please people stay away as this company and the hotel don’t know how to care about customer and only care about taking clients money and running vacation. I hope no one stays at this hotel.

I am overall very disappointed with this hotel. I arrived at the hotel and the reception staff weren’t professional. They left our luggage between the first and second door of our hotel room which meant that our access was blocked. So, we had to push our luggage forward awkwardly into the room with two kids in tow. The room wasn’t particularly clean and the room was not representative of what we had booked. I asked to be moved rooms and this request couldn’t be done until the next day as the hotel was full. We moved to a new room the next day which had a wet patch on the carpet just outside the bathroom. We thought that the outgoing cleaners or previous occupants had perhaps dropped water as they left the bathroom but we found later that night that it was actually the air conditioning that was leaking. We reported this to front desk the next day and it was sorted by the time we got back. There were other issues with amenities not working or being effective and the fridge light kept flashing all night which disturbed sleep. At some point I just gave up even telling the hotel because you want to just ignore and enjoy your holiday. would like to say that the staff are nice and polite but they are always troubleshooting and at times don’t communicate with each other to meet the customers needs. I’m very disappointed with our hotel stay. I

This hotel was wonderful for our 5-day stay in Paris. We were within walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants, the Arc Triomphe was about 10mins walking and easy access to metro as well. We stayed in two different rooms, the first one was the larger suite and while the extra space was nice, the room decor was a bit dated (I think they are renovating all the rooms). The 2nd room was very well designed, and comfortable for the two of us (the room was larger than typical Paris hotel rooms from my previous experience). The staff at this hotel were very accommodating, friendly, and efficient. The front desk staff, Alessandra I think her name was (apologies for mistake in spelling) went above and beyond to ensure that any questions were answered and that we had a smooth check-in/out process. Thank you again to the whole team. We will definitely enjoy another stay at this hotel.

The staff at this property are welcoming and friendly. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Our room (52) was clean and cosy, with coffee making facilities. One minor criticism is that we like to have a couple of cups of coffee and only had enough milk for one. One of the plus points to this hotel is the location. We arrived in Paris on the Eurostar and from the Gare Du Nord station you can get the metro (M2) from La Chapelle to Porte Dauphine it's then just a short walk to the hotel from here. The hotel is a 10min walk to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysee. I would recommend this hotel to others looking for a short stay city break.

Location was relatively good, parking was slightly challenging (10 minute walk and 45 euros per day). Staff was very nice and the room was pretty good as well. Definitely enjoyed walkint to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees. The Eiffel Tower is a little further, but still walkable and the Louvre is but a small Metro ride, only 25 minutes, including walking to the Metro. The terrace in the summer would be extroardinary. We went in the fall and it was still pretty good. You will sacrifice some room space for the terrace, but it's worth it.

The family room for four had two rooms, each with a large closet and TV. A very spacious bathroom, so different than all the other hotels we had in France! The staff was very friendly and the location was great. There were restaurants and grocery stores in the area and it was a nice quiet area that we felt safe walking around at night.

Little gem in Paris

Hotel Residence Foch was a great find. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, spoke good English, helped us with best Metro stations to use on our trip and recommended restaurants in the local area. Check in was a breeze as we had pre-completed most on-line prior to arrival (great idea). Room size was adequate and very comfortable, large bathroom and also adequate storage. Good location near 2 Metro stations, walking distance to Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysee and Grand Palais. Location was very quiet yet easy walk to numerous restaurants. Hotel offered continental breakfast which we didn't use only because there were other temptations for us. We would definitely stay here again.

Residence Foch is a charming hotel in a quiet yet beautiful area of Paris. The decorations are classic and tasteful, the staff very friendly and the room was extremely clean. This is a wonderful hotel. I was there on business as it is very close to Le Palais des Congres de Paris. There is full internet access, and they also helped me with printing out last-minute documents. There is no room service, but if you are a business traveller, you may be fed up with room service anyway! Michelin starred restaurant down the road ($$$$), numerous other restaurants ($$$), cafes ($$) and great local takeaways ($). And a Carrefour (-$). This was a relief frankly, after experiencing many 'extruded' and hugely expensive room-service meals from the big hotels of this world. Biggest thing - very, very friendly and helpful. I am going back!...

We have stayed here before, the last time we were going to Longchamp racecourse as it is so easy to walk from the hotel.
The hotel is small but it’s quiet and in a safe area. It’s easy to get to places and there’s nice bars and restaurants near by.
We had the room at the top which had a balcony overlooking the street but with the Eiffel Tower in the background, we loved it. It wasn’t a big room and the shower is tiny but it has what you need and the air conditioning is great.
Would definitely recommend.

The room was small but we appreciated the sophisticated design, the small balcony (room for one!), the bar fridge and kettle for coffee/tea making. The location is a ways from the city center but we enjoyed taking the Metro as part of the Parisian experience. The hotel is in a residential area that has beautiful apartment buildings and felt very safe.

Only feedback is for hotel to have list read of suggested restaurants by cuisine types/ dietary restrictions available nearby. Hard to find vegetarian restaurants.

I emailed the hotel two weeks prior to our arrival, we had reserved two rooms for 6 people (4 & 2) I wanted to notify them we would be having
an extra quest. When we checked in one room was ready (2) and the other was not (4) I reminded the hotel clerk that I had sent an email
re: the extra guest, they said they did not receive an email and that
we could absolutely not have an extra guest and that we would have to find another room somewhere as they were fully booked, the occupancy rate in that district was 99%, as there was some type of convention, we found two rooms available on Expedia, one for $800 USD and one for $3,000 USD we wound up taking the room for $800 and three members of our group stayed in that lovely 5 star. Hotel Residence Foch would not let us cancel one of our rooms or give us
a discount. Once we were checked into the room (4) we discovered
there would have been plenty of room to sleep an extra person. We will not return or recommend this hotel.

Solid choice - you can’t go wrong with this hotel

Very cute hotel, everything is well kept and super clean, staff are great. Not the best location but still close to all the sites. If you want a cute boutique, Parisian hotel, this is for you!

No complaints about hotel. The only negative was I requested an early check in but I only had to wait for an hour.

Room was clean. The distance to main attractions in Paris was a bit of a hassle but trains are pretty close.

Read this before you waste your money

Stayed at this hotel from the 21-24th of January for my birthday and it really ruined my view of paris and the whole trip. Right off the bat the whole hotel is very deceivful. The moment you walk in there they want €150 upfront which when you are staying in Paris as a tourist and the price you’ve already paid for everything is really taking the mick. The pictures of the hotel they show you on the website are way more smaller which is ridiculous for the price you pay, the book left out of the room is completely out of date which lie to you about the prices and the tv channels. For the price you have to pay for the food it is a rip off, these people need an up to date menu for breakfast. There was one particular receptionist with glasses who clearly had no idea what she was doing regarding anything. Very very upset about this hotel and will be leaving more reviews, people need to know the truth behind this hotel.

Guys, save your money and stay at the hotels closer to the arch. The location of this hotel it way out and dangerous as down the road there are romanian gypsys staying there right by the park.
