Room had door leading to emergency exit open at arrival, some window glasses were broken, space was inferior than what was shown in pictures, personnel at arrival was not friendly. Anyway it wasn’t terrible experience, and would take it again if needed

Grand appartement. Seul problème Très peu de vaisselle et objets de cuisine. Aucun grille pain. Une petit poêlon ou tout collait on devait faire nos toast dedans pour les autres chaudrons trèsdésuet, un petitup date seraibien😉. A notre arrivée Aucun micro-ondes ont a demander et le soir même ont en avais un. Attention pour ceux qui n'apporte pas leur shampoing (dans la douche c'était du savon a main et non gel et shampoing) et comme nous avons manquée de savon, ils sont venus le lendemain et nous ont demander la poche vide...et il l'as rempli. Par chance nous apportons toujours nos savon/shampoing. Quartier Maghrébin donc plein de restaurant de doner etc...essayer les moules farcis au restaurant du coins miammm. Gare bruxelles nord est a 10 minutes a pied et le tram a 2-3 minutes. Sinon marche jusqu'à grand-place est 25 minutes de marche. Si vous laissez les fenêtres ouvertes c'est bruyant a cause du tram et voitures mais si fermé c correct. En gros vous pouvez réserver la sans problème. Le personnel et très gentil et poli.

It was so bad that we immediately booked a room at another hotel. I think someone had cooked ramen noodles in the room before we arrived as there was still food debris still left on the stove and counter and the smell of ramen.

The mgr. Was very nice. The young man was very helpful and friendly. The surrounds of the building was very dirty. The maps said, this place wasn’t far from from the city center. I believe 10 mins drive. This is completely the opposite area and no safe area.

hotel was clean receptionist was polite and a fast check in. the area is considered unsafe but honestly just keep your wits about you and its friendly enough not all that bad more interesting. great for finding party products. we ate nearby and there was lots of selection. i would stay again if I returned to Brussels.

The property itself was in a very sketchy area. Check-in was smooth, but It still seemed a little iffy with process. I had to retrieve my own passport on the copier machine, which did not subside my nervousness about the area. Once we got to our room, there was mold on the ceiling and a broken vanity cabinet. Also, no one informed us that we needed to put the card in the slot in order to have electricity in the entire room. I could tell that at one point, the room look nice, but those days may have passed. People were also smoking right in front of my front door which seeped into the room. I only stayed one night, but that was plenty.

We (family of 5, with 3 kids) stayed here our last night in Belgium, to be closer to the airport. Wish I'd done better research first. Hotel is not in a great part of town, in the 5 minute walk from the tram back to the hotel I had something stolen from a bag I was carrying. Room wasn't very clean, beds were hard, and it was difficult to sleep with the noise from the street. I would not stay here again, especially with kids.

There's a tiny parking garage beside the hotel, call inside and they'll open the door for you.

Check in to the hotel was great, and the manager was polite and very helpful. It was also my first time staying in an apart hotel, and that experience is unforgettable. The room was very nice and warm when the weather was terrible, and my stay was very comfortable.

The reviews did not look encouraging and we just booked the place because it was affordable and close to the train/flixbus station. But the room turned out much more comfortable and roomier than in the photos, it was a very pleasant surprise. The place is a walk away from the various tram lines, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes just a minute of walk down the street. Kind and helpful staff. For people worried about safety, they lock the hotel at night and you buzz in. Overall, we were just expecting a place to crash at and out of all the places we stayed at during our European trip that one was really one of the best.

Nice apartment in less desirable location

The apartment is very good, staff nice and great value. The area around the Noord station is a red light district. We had no problems, but had to walk near this area several times with my child. You need to be very careful both in and around this station.

Located on a wide busy street of Brussels close to public transportation, restaurants and shops, it took us 15 min by car to get the center with all the sightseeing places. The area is a little sketchy but we felt safe. It was a little noisy because of the trams and traffic, but not too bad. Our apartment on the third floor was very spacious, clean and comfortable (actually better than expected after reading all the reviews). Two rooms with five twin beds total. Kitchen had a fridge, a microwave, a dishwasher and plates/pots/silverware. TV had no signal (which didn’t matter for us). Parking was 20 euros a day for their hotel garage or plenty of street parking available (free from 9 pm till 9 am and 2 euros an hour during the day.)
Generally i can recommend this hotel.

Terrible. While I was in Madrid doing my connection to board the next flight to Brussels I got a message from this hotel saying that my credit card didn’t pass. As per Hotel.con I had to pay in the hotel on my arrival, not before. I arrived at the hotel at 8:45 pm and they guy on the front desk said they cancelled my reservation because it was too late and that they were trying to contact me but didn’t answer to what I had to explain that I don’t live in Europe and didn’t have a SIM card. The guy pretended he called the manager and reactivated my reservation. The area is not safe, despite having a tram station nearby and a train station close by I felt unsafe all the time. The staff is not friendly.

Better than expected for the price i paid.

It was so much better than i expected. For the price i paid [£45] it was a bargain. Excellent. Stay at room 19 if you can. The bed aas comfartble , excellent bathroom condition , hot water, and even there was a small patio in the room like a private terrace! Amazing i loved it. The neighbourhood i guess its a bit rough but i didnt mind at all .its a bit hilly around 25-30mins from central. Theres a tram stop in front which i didnt use because i walked.

The streets around this area were fine during the day, lots of garbage in the streets. During the night was not the best for walking to and from the train station. I would not recommend walking alone after dark as a woman.

The hotel was ok but the area was a very dirty, rubbish on the streets and some shady people, probably not safe to walk at night. Red light district near by. The room was spacious ( studio apartment ) but not a good kitchen to cook in, and no coffee or tea. The air conditioner dripped dirty water on the floor and the shower did not drain well at all we had to shower in a puddle. The street noise was bad with windows open, But over all it was ok. only had 2 nights there Staff were nice enough and the room suited our needs.

City break with friends

Great apartment for a couple or small group of friends. Plenty of open space and very comfortable. 2 big sofas, 2 chairs and small table. Big windows that could be opened to let the air in.
No hassle booking and checkin with answers to questions emailed the hotel.
Location is very eclectic but do not let that put you off. It is a great area that is only 10 mins out of town by the tram. Always plenty to do and see if you enjoy experiencing a varied culture.
The apartments are located between town and the royal palaces. 30 mins walk each way or jump on a tram outside the door.
Would definitely recommend a stay here and would return if back in Brussels.
We stayed for a 2 day city break. Easy to get to apartment from charleroi airport by public transport. Worth a visit.

Note: booking a budget hotel just isn't worth it.

Room would've been manageable but the bed was super miserable. The shower was closed off with no ventilation and smelled. The deadbolt didn't lock either. The hotel is accessible by metro but not convenient in terms of location from restaurants and attractions. I would not recommend this hotel.

Good place to stay but...

I stayed there last summer for a few days. The studio apartment is quite spacious and convenient. Except for the fridge with doors that didn't close the condition of the apartment was fine and it was clean. A streetcar in front of the hotel takes you to the city centre in about 15 min. The neighbourhood however does not make you feel safe and I woudn't stay there if I happened to travel to Brussels this year (considering the events that took place there since). It is an exclusively Middle Eastern neighbourhood with restaurants and stores catering to immigrants. Even if you speak French it is useless there.

We checked into the hotel after walking from Noord station. The neighborhood reminded us of some of the rough areas in NYC (we both have lived in cities, so it takes a bit for us to be uncomfortable). After checking in, we went to our room (up the stairs, since the elevator would not cooperate). Walking in, the room was modern, but worn out. Very large space, however beds were squeaky and the mattresses were becoming hard from use. Just off the bedroom was a balcony, however it was very close to the other private resident balconies and roof tops of everyone surrounding the hotel, it would be easy to climb from place to place and the door did not provide me without piece of mind that it would remain secure. The walls were thin and it was easy to hear EVERYTHING in the halls as people walked by.

We trusted our instincts and left within an hour. Checked into another hotel near Grand Place and enjoyed the rest of our trip. While I did not spend much time at Apart Hotel, the first impressions and observations were enough for me to want to warn others about the shortcomings of this hotel. If you are looking for a place to rest with piece of mind I don't believe this is for you.

the room was excellent however, the staff couldn't provide us with electronic keys that work! they gave us a master key which works for all doors in the hotel. this begs the question of how many times they have done this and therefore how secure are our rooms? the staff was friendly though. location was quite far from sites although accessible by tram transfers.

First holiday together!

We loved staying at here, the staff were friendly even when we checked in just after 11pm! All our questions were answered. Close to local amenities, half an hours walk to Brussels square,with lots of lovely views on the way in! Only a few minutes walk away from Bruxelles nord station! Would defiantly stay here again,not a single fault! Already have holiday blues!

The location was far. Dirty neighborhood. We felt unsafe and uncomfortable. Expect to see a lot of Middle Easter people. Our taxi driver warned us about the people, neighborhood and apparently 'bad women'. I won't recommend it. You pay for what you get.

Even thought studios were located on first floor (one floor up from ground), I was very satisfied with my stay. The studio had all the amenities for a pleasant short (or long) stay including air conditioning and in-room safe. Everything worked perfectly and had not a single complaint. Location is not ideal but close enough to city center (to even walk about 30 minutes to Grand'Place) and a short walk from the North Station Station. I would stay here again without any hesitation.

The stay at the hotel was reasonably good and well priced.
Intially, it was quite surprising to find the hotel in a such busy location as from the photo on the website seem spaced out. Although we confirmed free parking with hotel.com at the time of booking, The receptionist at the hotel didn't know anything about it and suggested we should put the car in paid car park 5km away from the hotel,as the parking is quite difficult in the area, he later let on and explaned the 4 parking space outside the hotel are free and it would be fine to leave my car there for the duration of our stay. Once releaved from my car delema, we actually enjoyed our stay there. And I would recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood isn't all the great, but location is convenient as its in between grand place and northern brussels where the atomium is. The tram stop was right outside the hotel and made getting around super easy. We found it worth staying away from the hustle and bustle of downtown as we had tons of space to spread out. It was much more apartment than hotel. We had a nice little kitchen and made some meals which helped save some money. We dropped laundry off twice and had it washed and dried the next day. Was 5€ for a good size load. That was helpful. Staff was informative and checkin/checkout was a breeze. We really enjoyed that all the windows in all the rooms along the road opened up and our view was lovely. But there was some street noise and pretty regular sirens running up and down the street but generally wasn't a big deal. It is still in a big city of course! Would definitely stay again and would recommend if you're looking to break away from the typical small, run down European budget hotels.

Huge room. That was a big plus. Hotel staff were nice. Room was delivered late... we slept in the lobby from jet lag. They did not clean often nor thouroughly. Overall 3 stars. However, great value for money. We do not regret.

The hotel had a good rate, I only needed one night. Walking distance from the north train station. The neighborhood is horrible. Quite empty streets, weird people, all look like they are up to no good.

I walked from the train station to the hotel at 10 PM. Not safe at all. There were homeless & very drunk men on the st outside the station. The streets are dark, dirty, & stink.

When I checked in, the guy barely spoke English, & I asked how to get to the airport by train, he immediately insisted I take a taxi he could get.

It was not a room, more like a small condo.
The furniture looks nice, the condo was quite big.
The 1st problem was that the inside front lock would not lock.
In this area, with a weird guy in reception, I wanted it to lock! I called the guy, he came up upset, insisted it didn't matter. We could barely communicate. The door never locked & I never slept!
I have traveled to many countries in Europe & in Mexico & I NEVER in my life felt this unsafe!
They had not cleaned the floor, I could see and feel the dust.
The microwave had never been cleaned inside, full of food splats, very nasty.
The 'pillows' were two tinny cushions.
The internet worked just OK.
The TV channels were OK, saw some English shows.
I opened the toilet, someone had taken a dump, not flushed it.
Laminate floor has stains of humidity & mold.
The bed sheets were dirty & smelly.
I felt tinny bugs biting me.
I will never stay here again & I don't recommend it!

We really liked our room..very spacious ..it was more of a one bedroom apartment with 1 full bathroom with bathtub, a half bath, kitchen with complete cooking/ eating utensils..stovetop, microwave and ref..comfortable beds..air conditioning , large flat screen TV with cable..sofa set..and also a dining table for 2 or 3 ..also free access to the gym..lots of restaurants nearby as well as grocery stores..plus the tram stops right outside the main entrance..the only downside is it is slightly far from the center of Brussels and the wifi, it's not very reliable ..but over all, highly recommended..

Reunion

We were asked to check out & changed our room daily because I had 4 days reservation with a daily check in & out. I was told that there should be 1 reservation for 4 days . I tried to explain to them that this is what wad provided unfortunately the hotel staff did not accommodate our request to stay in same room. Therefore we have to pack & unpack on a daily basis & I was able to convince them to help us transfer our luggages. I hope that this will not happen again because of the inconvenience & still look forward to more travels to come. Thank you.

Close to old village in Brussels

Staff friendly and helpful. Older hotel that could use some updating, some tears in throw pillows and split in the couch were a bit of a turn off. The bedding was clean, beds comfortable, and the floors were clean. Fairly well equipped kitchen. Close to a great bakery, and many fruit markets. Well priced as our whole family could be in one apartment which isn't always easy to find in Europe, and there was enough space.

Ideal suite for a short stay in Brussels

Stayed as a family of 5 including three adult children. Plenty of room and comfortable after a day round Brussels. Staff very helpful in ensuring our bicycles were kept securely.

Great apartment hotel in Brussels

Spent 3 nights in July 2014 at this hotel in 3 different rooms. It is a great hotel. There are a few different room types, the most expensive is the nicest, middle is also nice, and cheap is just a standard studio.

This hotel had great staff who helped store my bicycle and print my train tickets. The rooms were always clean and the sheets too.

The wifi and lift are a bit spotty but when they do work its great. There is good wifi downstairs and a pc if you need to use.

There are a few negative comments about the surrounding area but I felt it was safe. If you do walk 5 minutes you will see the red light district but even then it still feels safe. The only thing that feels bad nearby are the beggars and groups of muslim men watching you from cafes or pubs.

I will go to this aparthotel the next time I am in Brussels

2 nights stay on 1st floor

Pros:
-Large spacious rooms and nicely furnished
-Large bathroom and shower which seems rare in Europe
-Adjoining gym
-Good price
-Nice views of the city from the upper floors
-Reception staff friendly

Cons:
-Seedy and dangerous neighbourhood. From the train station you have to walk through the red light district to get to this hotel, which is not good for the kids to see. Police activity regular.
-Very noisy while trying to sleep at night - no sound damping in the hotel. Lots of doors banging and noise coming in from the tram line which makes for a broken night of sleep. The lift is very noisy on the upper levels which carries into the upper rooms.
-Our booking stated that it included free breakfast, but we were told at reception that it didn't.
-Power point locations illogical.

A good place to stay if you want cheap accommodation or want to visit the red light district, but if you are there to see the the tourist attractions would recommend somewhere closer to the city.

I liked this hotel. It was clean, well maintained ad the beds were soft and comfy. I only have two complaints about my stay. It is a fair walk from the Noord Station through the Arab market district with a suitcase in tow, and there was considerable noise from the busy street the hotel is located on. Otherwise, it was great. I would stay again if I were to return.

Nice but a few issues need addressing

Wifi kept dropping out, cold shower and very low pressure when hot which only kept hot for about two minutes before becoming freezing cold. Bed was very old with a big dip in the middle which made it very difficult to sleep in.Nice apartment in General could have been really good if the above was addressed but when you can't sleep and can't have a shower and you can't use the internet it is really disappointing.

Well worth it

Stayed 2 nights here, very friendly and great surroundings, well worth it for a cheap up to date apartment for a weekend away, very helpful and have number of facilities available, would stay here again

Big room, fair location

The room is very big, with kitchen and 2 bathroom.There seems some dangerous neighborhood like hooker ad bagger. The room need more clean. Good Service

Dirty flats in a bad neighbourhood

The location was a few kilometres from the centre, but the surrounding neighbourhood was very dodgy. The flat was not particularly clean either, making one need to check sheets etc. an extra time, though these seemed clean enough. It was pretty noisy too from the street and the children families who stayed at the hotel.

Great hotel, Dire location

Had five of us staying here and were pleasantly surprised that we had a spotlessly clean and comfortable apartment all to ourselves complete with two bathrooms and kitchen for £20 each a night!

Hotel has a sweaty smell but our apartment didn't at all.

Didn't opt for the €8 breakfast and instead bought bacon and eggs and cooked out own with free use of kitchen and pots and pans.

Hotel was exactly what we needed but unfortunately it is in an atrocious part of the city

Rooms good but location unpleasant

I chose to stay here in order to be close to the train station.

The actual room/appartment was good, clean and spacious.

The receptionist was helpful.

What really lets this place down though is the area and the area around the station and this is why I am unable to give the hotel a better rating.

The road running alongside the station (and the one you must walk along if you wish to go to the hotel by foot) is full of shop windows featuring almost naked women licking their fingers, slapping their bottoms and doing everything they can to entice the rather sleazy middle aged and young men passing who slow down to take a good look! I think I may have stood in their dribble a few times on the way. Once getting past this, the next street leading to the hotel is like being in the Middle East - which is fine but it has a dodgy feel to it and I did see a rather scared looking Muslim lady looking as if she was about to be hit by some man and a large crowd standing round watching! This may just be coincidence and not an every day occurrence.
The area by the station is also frequented by beggars and the whole area does not feel safe - and this is coming from my point of view as a man. I was approached by a man by the station who I think May have wanted to rob me but I escaped as quickly as I could.

If you need to stay here, I highly recommend getting a taxi from the station.
I wouldn't recommend this area for women.

THIS PLACE IS BETTER THAN OUR FLAT !

Wanted to pick a medium style hotel, balancing cost and location. Our travel apps sadly let us down on getting there and took us the long way round. After a few journeys we found it so easy to travel to and from, literally 20-25 min via one metro and one tram to right outside. Hotel staff were very friendly supplied us with a great simple breakfast selection. We thought we were getting a regular hotel style room but when we walked though the door we couldn't believe the size of the apartment. Lounge with leather sofas, TV, balcony, lovely bathroom and full kitchen with adjoining bedroom. Brilliant. Wish we had stayed longer. The only downside was the area appeared to be the turkish sector, which in itself isn't a bad thing, but meant there were a lack of local bars and places to eat.. so many kebab shops when all we wanted was local food. Overall a brilliant and affordable place to stay and we WILL be coming back.

Good hotel for family stay

We arrived late, they were welcoming, we got to our rooms, layout was good, it was spacious, there are obvious signs of wear and tear, witch the beds, slight leak in the sink in the living room, good working fridge, electric cooker.

Comfortable beds, was unable to use the gym as it was only assesible by Males from about 12 noon, this was disappointing as this was one of the main reason for booking the hotel.

Overall would recommend it, but provided the above fact s are known beforehand, it was a comfortable stay
