We reserved through expedia and arrived, the room we wanted was not cleaned so we took a smaller room. Opened the door and a gigantic roach was crawling on the roof. We went back to the front desk to let them know and the front desk clerk said she was coming to check it out and NEVER came. We waited in the hallway after 11pm at night with our tired children for over 30 mins or more and she still never came. We went back to ask about the hold up but she wasn't at the desk. Long story short the other room that was \"dirty\" was now no longer available because there was a large \"wet stain\" on the floor. Needless to say we were NOT accommodated, we had no room and ended up loading the luggage and getting back in the car and driving 4 hours home in the middle of the night. Expedia also did not find us a room and was refusing to refund us but then changed their mind, i guess. We'll see if the refund hits in 7 to 10 business days. What a disaster!

Out whole stay was great. The room was quiet, ac was awesome, we were able to watch fireworks from our third floor room. Everything was top notch, will definitely be back!!
Mayana
Really un functional room. Breakfast was not good.
Zorayda
Clean place and the staff service was excelent.
Arthur
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was as stated.
Edith
This is always my go to stop when I’m Jacksonville. Always perfect!
Johnny
The staff is very friendly and always helpful. The pool area is clean. We were there for a wedding near this hotel. The rate was very affordable.
Philisa
The staff was friendly, but the room was not up to par. It was clean but the coffee pot didn't work properly, the lids didn't fit the coffee cups, the water pressure was extremely weak in both the shower and sink. The iron didn't work properly and water came out all over my husband's clothing. There was a dog on our floor that was barking the entire early morning. When all of this was reported to the staff at check out, the only reply was, \"Oh, I'm sorry..\" There was no sort of compensation offered for all of the inconveniences. We definitely will not stay at this location again.
Emily
Quiet and clean, comfortable, affordable, and just what we needed!
Merilyn
Breakfast is not included in the reservation like other places. I paid for a cafe late 6.97 I think is expensive
laura
Clean, nice staff… only surprise, charged for parking and $5 for a cold cup of coffee. Good location for passing through.
Haylee
Everything was so nice down to the staff. By far the easiest check in / out process and the lady at the counter when we checked in was so sweet. She gave us recommendations on where to go to the beach , where to go out , and good breakfast spots.
Noah
Nice staff and fairly clean. Shower had a funny smell and the TV was small and centered in the room very odd. Average place to stay for the cost.
Candie
Young lady in the breakfast area was rude to my husband who only wanted two cold brews for us. She overlooked him moved on with another customer chatting with her, who came up afterward my husband. The staff lady slammed 2 cups of hot coffee on the counter said here you go
they on the House, my husband said to her he didn’t order those at all. Matter of fact I haven’t ordered anything because you ignored me and went to another customer. Other than than great stay
Maybe she was having a bad morning

Bridget
Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and spacious.
Sarah
I would recommend again. No free breakfast or cocktail hour but they did have a great BISTRO
Charles
Jacksonville is so spread out. This hotel is a good location for access to amenities on the south side down - from the beaches to Mandarin.
Russell
This is a fairly higher priced location - and it is surprising they do offer a free breakfast, or even a continental breakfast bar. Instead they offer an overpriced cafe where a cup of yogurt costs $10 - which is a total rip off.
it's a decent hotel - sure - but they gouge, so be ready to leave for anything you want regarding food. This place is an ok place to sleep, and that's all.

The lobby was clean and updated. Front desk staff were kind and helpful. The room felt kind of dingy and outdated with peeling wallpaper. In 4 days, our room was not visited once by cleaning staff. No additional towels were offered.
FreeBird
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The facilities and rooms were exactly what we needed. But - to be honest - not offering a complimentary breakfast bar was a great big Screw YOU Mr customer. The over priced coffee bar - with $10 yogurt cups - was NO alternative.
This hotel is for sleeping in, and leaving immediately for any level of amenities every traveler needs.
Sadly - while there were no problems, and the rooms were nice - this was, frankly, intensely uninviting and we all had zero desire, or reason, to spend more time at this hotel than was absolutely necessary - and we left as quickly as possible to go anywhere at all that was an affordable option for coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner - you name it.
This overpriced hotel is for sleeping only. Plan to be anywhere else for every other amenity you'll need as a traveler.

Why are wine glasses in the bathroom wise? Why is the landline phone on the desk not between the beds for wake-up calls? Why did the television reset at 11 am during CBS' Face the Nation? I can recommend a Systems Analyst.
Eri
Our room was spacious. The front desk staff was nice and helpful. However, the Housekeeping needs improvement. Checked in with the room with an empty Klinex box. We stayed 3 nights, but the room was not serviced during our stay.
Patric
Overall super smooth experience.
Misty
Clean & comfortable bed!
Amy
No breakfast offered and their Bistro sucked and took forever to get your meal then brought it up to our room to find they were missing 2 of the main courses. Staffing is very short staffed. This place was Pretty expensive to get crappy service.... and by all means dont expect anyone to answer the phone. Needed sheets for the sofa bed... no answer... took 2 trips down stairs to get the right bedding because the first time down they gave us 8 pillow cases only.
Dante
Clean rooms, excellent hospitality. pleasant atmosphere. Book with confidence. You wont be disappointed.
Tim
I would have stayed in a different brand if I knew I wouldn't get the Marriott points through Expedia. It was a second rate hotel compared to similarly priced hotels under different brands. I wouldn't stay here again.
Anita
Staff at front desk is great, accommodating and professional
No “conventional” breakfast restaurant, more a cafe with some food offerings. Tasted good though.

Great stay at this hotel
John
Nice, clean rooms, but the Internet did not work the entire weekend, had trouble even getting the TV to work since the Internet was down
The one thing that aggravated me was, they charged me three different times once and during my stay and had to make many phone calls to get those charges reversed… That was a little aggravating

We have stayed at this hotel twice now and each time was excellent. The bistro has just enough options for breakfast and a menu for later in the day that had just what we needed. The room was very comfortable. We had a few issues, but Kristen, front office, took care of them immediately. We highly recommend this hotel for comfort, quiet rooms, great service and good food while staying there.

I booked through Expedia. Upon checking in I was informed that my “included” breakfast would be automatically deducted from my bill when I checked out. That was not the case however and I had to call the property to have the included breakfast removed from my bill a day after checking out. If I had not caught this error, I would have been charged 65 extra dollars. That is a serious lapse in service. A protocol should be put in place so that does not happen to other customers. Thanks!
Patricia
Front desk didn't know how to start the gas firepit outside the courtyard. That would have been a nice ending to our evening out. Beer bottles left outside. I don't think the outside area is addressed as much as the inside. All in all the stay was nice.
Joseph A
Staff was slow or non-existent.
Carolyn
Great staff however only self purchase breakfast. Nothing complimentary.
Christopher
There was no place to get a cup of coffee or tea without having to buy it from the cafe. Has Marriott lost its way? Profits are so important that you have to sell tea bags to your customers?!

We were there for 2 nights. Hotel is clean and staff were very pleasant. We would stay here again.
Ashley
The hotel was very clean and we loved the room. The bathroom was spacious. Bed 10/10 comfort. Upon arriving until our last day the staff was very friendly! The bar was closed Saturday night (the night we wanted to go down and drink) but, we understand things happen. Plenty of seating areas if you needed to go down to the lobby area and work. I didn’t go to the gym so I can’t really comment on that. But overall this stay was great and we will stay here again!
Brian
Everything was perfect!!
Wesley
We checked in late and it took almost 10 minutes before we saw a receptionist. She then proceeded finish moving and organizing carts and putting up some sheets. We checked in the 5 guests ( my wife, myself and 3 teens). The room we booked was supposed to have 2 beds and a couch. No couch existed and the receptionist wasnt very helpful in solving this issue. So 3 teens slept in a bed. Thankfully we had to be up and out early anways. But the room pictures sure didn't match what we signed up for.
Edward
Did not ho to the gym
Andres
To many charges and no breakfast they even charge for parking 👎
Pedro
Decent price and location . Accommodating to pets is a plus. Pool was nice. Inviting lobby / bar & restaurant area. Everything was clean. Pull out couch by far the most comfortable we have had. 10/10 recommend if you are in the area.
Debra
The room I reserved, sleeps 5 (2queen beds & sofa) was not available when I checked in, which necessitated me paying an additional $160+ for an additional room. Supposedly the additional room was at a discounted rate, but the error was the properties to own, not mine to pay extra.
William Bill
Friendly & very informative, front desk & superb breakfast service & employee, she did fantastic & checked on us throughout our experience
Dan
Very pleasant stay. A great stop before our cruise out of Cape Canaveral. We’ll be returning for our next cruise.
Joshua
Very quiet and peaceful. The location for me was everything.
Britton
Rooms were nice. They charge $4+ for parking without telling you. They just sneak it in the fine print... I asked the front desk lady about it and she gave me attitude in response.

The staff was great however there’s very little Internet in this hotel, not good with the kids
Daniel

Poor water pressure forced room change. No ATM. Lengthy waits for coffee/breakfast. Bar closed the Friday we visited.
Brian

NICE AND CLEAN
William
Clean room and great staff, will definitely stay at this location again.
David
Roomwas very nice.
Cassandra
The sink and bath tub was not draining probably, so when you shower you was standing in about an inch or two of water. I informed the front desk and they said they would have someone look at it but no one ever got back to me and it was never fixed. They did offer to change rooms but we chose not too because we didn’t want to have to move all of our stuff again.
I recommend checking your rooms before booking them out to ensure everything is working properly.

Great spot
Wanda
The room was very clean!

Front desk personnel were excellent. The cleaning staff were courteous. The room was clean. The bartenders were terrible. First one gave me a glass of wine with a chunk of food on the rim. She then broke a glass while cleaning it and transferred the wine. And $17 for a 6 ounce pour is RIDICULOUS. That is airport pricing. The second bartender was, I'm sorry to say this, too old to do the job properly.

Cleanliness in the bathroom. Bedroom side lamp didn’t work. Bar was very disappointing being a Marriott. The food was terrible and was out of a lot of stuff. Staff at the bar/food was in experienced and complained alot

The person checking us in was NOT friendly
Geetha
Yes called in for early check in they said it’s ready to come but when we reached they said it will take another 30 minutes to be ready . We were so tired with family after long drive . Also rooms were dirty and washroom had no exhaust because of which floor became so wet and slippery .
Dave
Nice place but keep in mind the breakfast is not free and either is the parking. And since I booked using Expedia, my room was as far away from the lobby as you can be.
Jorge
Excellent value for the price
Yinet
I'm very unhappy since breakfast was supposedly included in my reservation and it was never like that for 4 sandwiches and 4 sodasThey charged 102.43 ct.

I would never pay for a breakfast here. Not for that fee

The room consumables were not refreshed every day. I had to go down to the front desk and get tea bags and coffees. I do not expect the room to be cleaned each day, but the coffee, tea, and cups should be refreshed each day. Otherwise, the room was fine.
