I did the eco thing for my room I didn't have to waste towel or water.
the breakfast was a great place to start your day, the person in charger could've been nicer as far as for her customer service skills shown. She placed me somewhere where I didn't want to sit near the people doing the bread/toasting area, I stated I didn't want this seat and she walk away, so moved myself, maybe her bun hair was on too tight.
Our concierge was freak in awesome, did everything, took care of us who were 1st time visiting...

So all in all, not terrible but not fantastic either, just okay for one night. I would not have liked to stay for more than one night.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. We arrived early at the hotel and they told us our rooms weren’t ready. When we went store our bags with them they weren’t going to give us a ticket and said to leave in a corner and they would put it in another room. We got back later that evening to check in and they told us they no longer had our rooms available. There was some whispering/complaining about it being an Expedia booking and after going into the back came out to tell us there had been “a flood” on the floor. They took us next door to another hotel where they wanted us to pay the full amount of our booking for the 2 nights because they were going to move us back to the Holiday Inn Kensington for the second night. When we questioned paying up front, they were extremely belligerent and acting as though it was our fault that they didn’t have a room. Throughout the

We greatly enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the swimming pool.
We had constant problems with getting our key cards to open the door of our room. This took some of the fun out of our stay.
Despite arriving after 3pm for check in our roon wasnt ready. We faced a 30 minute wait which isn't ideal after a long journey.

Staff at reception—including the manager—were rude and completely unprofessional. When we arrived to check in, we were told our room was no longer available due to a “leak,” which was clearly untrue. We overheard staff discussing “Expedia” before disappearing to the back and suddenly claiming there was no room for us.

They tried to send us to another hotel for the night and told us to come back the next day. After arguing, we forced the manager to personally take us there to ensure we actually had a room. Shockingly, he then tried to make us pay them for staying at a different hotel. When we refused, he became hostile, blamed us for the situation, and acted offended that we wanted to cancel—despite them not even having a room for us.

Earlier that day, we had also been denied proper luggage storage. We were told their storage room was only for guests who had checked out, which makes no sense, and were instead offered some random unsecured room.

This was a complete failure of service, handled with dishonesty and aggression from start to finish.

Make sure you check the size of the rooms before you book. A standard room here runs you under 200 sq. Ft. The bed barely fits, and you have no room to place your baggage or move around. I booked a king standard room which was small. The first night was manageable, but the morning after we kept getting a smoke smell, as if someone had been smoking in/around the room. We asked to be moved by phone, but no one came. I had to go personally to guest services to ask for a new room. They did provide a new room. However, the room they provided was a complete downgrade to an even smaller room with a queen size bed. Total rip off. In addition to that the new room had a mini fridge that did not work. I asked them to come change out the mini fridge a couple of times and they never did that. Also, our room was freezing cold, it took the heater 20-30 min to come on, after making crazy crackling noises and even then it didnt heat the room enough at night. I would have to turn off the heater to get some sleep due to all the noise it made. Overall, The Hotel looks nice in the common areas such as lobby, starbucks lounge and bar lounge. The location is great, But the rooms need some serious updating/remodeling.

We lived our stay at the Holiday Inn. The staff were attentive, helpful, and friendly. The hotel has an excellent buffet breakfast, a beautiful pool, and a Starbucks in the lobby. It is very clean and only a block from the Underground. It was located jn a safe neighborhood near many attractions and restaurants.

I was cheated by the Reception staff. I paid 400 pounds to upgrade to a SUITE and was allocated a single room with bathroom. When I complained to the Manager that a hotel Suite is classified as a bedroom plus a sitting room, he disagreed and told me that in his hotel a Suite was a bedroom with a bathroom!! This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, and I travel at least 6 times a year. Another problem was trying to book an afternoon tea for 4 friends that were visiting me. It took four people to find out what they should do for afternoon tea. When it arrive, it was quite awful. All in all , this was a really terrible experience and a waste of money.

I was cheated by the staff at Reception. I upgraded and paid for a Suite and was allocated a single room with old dark furniture and carpet. When I complained to the Manager that a \"hotel SUITE\" is classified as a bedroom and sitting room, he told me that in his hotel, it meant a room with a bathroom. I am furious at having spent an extra 400 pounds on a disgusting hotel room. Please tell future travellers to be aware of this scam.

The hotel is quite old and need of renovation!
In my room, the bathroom smelled strongly of spoilage because the bathtub drain and sink were clogged, and after bathing, there was dirt residue in the tub due to the clogged drain, which left a strong smell.
The sauna is in the men's locker room and is poorly maintained with mess in the locker room and dirty toilets.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very varied.

Conveniently located near Kensington High street tube station. Today’s price was acceptable. Staff are friendly, check in was quick. Lifts can get very busy at times with longish waits. The room was an adequate size for an overnight stay and was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable Andi could set temperature to what I liked. Checkout was quick although a problem with taking payment caused me to return to find out what was happening. Overall, I like staying here for the convenience, a decent hotel and a good area.

Large hotel with efficient check in and luggage storage facilities. Staff were friendly. The room we booked (standard twin) was very small, the bathroom in particular was a very strange long narrow room that made it awkward to use. The TV started turning itself on every 10 minutes at 5am which was kind of annoying. The room was very hot but the air con was good. Pool was ok, a little tired but fine. Jacuzzi and steam room were out of order which was disappointing. Great location just off Kensington High Street.

It's a big hotel with large groups in residence so good for a work stay. We usually stay round the corner at Copthorne Tara but my son was also staying so we decided to book as there was a (very nice) pool. We also decided to take advantage of the upgrade offer to Premium. We read the descriptions of bath with shower, dressing gowns, mini bar, extra room, higher floors etc. ….. we received NONE of this. Put on 2nd floor, beds jammed into room. Bathroom with pocket door so my head was literally 3 feet away from the toilet. No bath just a small shower tray. No mini bar, no bathrobes. Whilst they say facilities may differ at locations there was nothing in this room that would differentiate as a “Premium” room. When we queried with staff they asked us room number and looked at system and informed us it was a Premium room (would think they had never been in that room ever). Refused to give any refund of the upgrade we paid for 2 nights and dismissed our photos from their website of the “upgrades” compared to their photos. Would never stay here again, Copthorne Tara standard rooms are twice the size.

The rooms are very small, like you can’t turnaround in the bathroom. If you have a 38” or greater waist forget about getting to the toilet comfortably. The room has very little storage, definitely not enough for two adults. Overall the staff was great. Every staff member I encountered was great, friendly, and welcoming. However, due to the size of the room, along with the lack of storage I am not sure I see myself returning. If you are solo, it’s probably fine but with some, absolutely not.

AVOID THIS OVER-RATED HOTEL.

SPA OUT OF ORDER FOR 1MONTH+ jacuzzi hot tub and steam room not working. Staff member confirmed been broke for long time. But no mention on hotel.com website nor direct on HI website either.
Need to bring your own padlock for lockers. Sauna is in charging room so can’t enjoy with your partner etc.

ROOM (Standard King) very small. Unable to hang more than 2 items of clothes up as would drape over fridge in the same cupboard. We also had to change room at midnight, as our Air Con unit was so loud it sounded like a helicopter. Maintenance came but couldn’t fix.

Manager was quite rude when alerted, and also said spa was complimentary and not something we’d paid extra for. No accountability for false advertising/not making patrons aware prior to actually going down to the spa area. It was the whole reason we booked this hotel!! No apology offered.

BREAKFAST was decent and staff there were nice.

WOULD STAY ELSEWHERE IN FUTURE. Very disappointed with the attitude and hotel advertising, ie saying spa was there to relax in etc when they’ve known for at least a month this isn’t the case.

Terrible choice. When entering the ladies changing room in the pool area a male staff was inside cleaning. I then noticed a female staff telling him he was not permitted in the changing room. A little while later a seen three men in the ladies changing room appearing to look at the floor. Two of the men were in business suits looking to be some type of manager for the facility and another male worker. I find this behaviour concerning and could be quite traumatizing. A couple days prior women were naked changing and in sauna. I needed to bring this forward as I did not feel safe in the environment and hope this will prevent any ill harm to anyone else.

No conditioner, no lotion and to ask for face cloths twice before receiving any.
Hot tub was out of order. When I went to ask for staff assistance I was told to wait and she never came back.

No dental kits available. Had to ask twice only to find out at 10pm none were available. Really bad as no time in the morning to purchase elsewhere. Pool closes at 10pm but was denied access at 9pm. No signs or info. Booked the hotel with a pool to relax my arthritis before bed after city walking. Was in agony all night.

Booked for valentines long weekend as a family member was getting married (Friday-Monday) due to the facilities (swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna etc) firstly the room was small. Shower sprayed water out all over the floor so we had to use extra towels to soak up the water. We had forgotten toothpaste but were told reception have spare toiletries incase you forget anything so when we asked them we were told to come back in the morning as he didn't have any. When we returned in the morning we found a vending machine which charged us £3 for a one use toothpaste tube and when my partner asked the guy at reception about it he told him it was nothing to do with them and it was an outside company (still didn't give us any extra toothpaste) Went to the pool in the morning for a swim and half of it was closed off for swimming lessons which wasn't advertised. Jacuzzi was out of order (also wasn't notified previous to stay) so everyone was squished into one half of the pool where people were trying to do lengths so not relaxing at all. The saunas were in the changing rooms as well and not near the pool which was another let down. When we contacted the hotel for a partial refund as we were really disappointed in the facilities that we thought we were getting and didn't. The hotel refused any type of refund they did eventually offer to change our room but we had to be at the wedding and didn't have time at that point. Definitely won't be staying again

The best part of the hotel was the pool- although it was crowded no matter the time of day. The standard rooms are extremely small and not just by American standards! By Parisian and London standards too! There is no TV offering for small kids (no CBeebies! No access to Netflix! Can’t even purchase a Disney movie!) and everyone I interacted with in room service was inefficient or rude.

Room was small but ok for what we needed. Food was poor in the breakfast room. Housekeeping did not come on 2nd to last day despite the tag on the door, asked at reception when we went out but they just put towels inside the door. Great location as tube was a 2 minute walk away.

The decor in the hotel is a bit tired and the breakfast is not the best I've seen in a 4 star hotel. That said, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly, and the spa, although not the highest quality, had a great range of gym equipment, a large pool (for UK hotels) and an excellent sauna in each changing room. The steam room and jacuzzi were out of action when I stayed, but I wasn't that bothered by it since it's the post-gym sauna that I really wanted. This is my third stay, and I will definitely return.

Great room and fantastic price for London. The swimming pool area was very tired though and the pool itself was the temperature of a warm bath!
