Health Issue with Mold in Room; TVs not working

I had stayed at a number of budget hotels in my 30+ years of traveling. Even at a budget hotel it should be clean. When I checked in, there was mold in the bathroom ceiling. After some discussion they moved me to another room which was cleaner but then the TV didn't work. I again raised this to their attention and they said only two TVs work in the buiding and they were renovating and did not have a timeline of when the TVs would be working for anyone. Even at a budget hotel mold is not acceptable and is a health issue. The listed amenity of the TV is not working so that should be removed as an amenity and that is false advertising. I shall file a formal complaint with the commission in Brussels regarding this establishment. Any room with mold should not be rented out due to health issues until appropriate measures have been taken to completely remove the mold. Travelers should also be aware that this is an older building so it does take around 5 minutes to get hot water in the shower. Also as others have pointed out there really aren't any convenience stores, grocery stores, restaurants or really anything in walking distance. I took the 98 bus (the 98 bus stop is on the street) into Brussels and it generally took around 30 minutes to get to the Grand Hall area. So you should be prepared for that if you plan to use public transportation.

Good value but with limited check-in

Overall considering Brussels high prices this is a good value option, with some issues. The main ones being their check-in and checkouts policy. They only allow you to check-in very late and if you want to actually meet somebody within a tight 2 hour window. I think they might have the option to check in without concierge but that's a risk and I have had bad experiences in the past with other properties. Facilities are a bit dated especially the bathroom and bed had a mattress too thin and soft but overall as mentioned it was good value. Checkout is very early at 10am especially considering they don't allow you in the room before 16.

Early check in didn’t work, it’s stated that reception opens at 9am, at 9 the receptionist didn’t bother to attend to us.it’s mentioned that early checkin was possible at a fee (no time specified), I arrived and I was told it’s not possible and no refund was given.

The hostel has a staff working only few hours 9-11 am and 4:00 to 6:00 pm. If you need assistance only by phone. Drop key box to check out. NO SOAP enough for 3 days only do cleaning once a week. The worst hostel I stayed in my entire life.

I got the key to the hotel room from a nighttime key box. Then, I was so surprised because I found out there has been already someone else in that room when I opened it.
So I had to find somewhere to stay at that night. I was so tired about it.

The bathroom was absolutely filthy. There were smears of what appeared to be feces on the toilet, and the gap between the sink and shower has clearly never been cleaned; there was all sorts of dirt, hair, and other miscellaneous gunk down there. The light fixture in the bedroom was full of dead flies, as well. Would not stay here again.

Very poor quality. Paint peeling of rotten wood in bathroom. One very small pillow per person (more of a cushion really). Very noisy at night as all solid floors, no carpet. Link clanked regularly. Shower doors open inwards!
Generally, looks like nothing has been touched since it was built. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful however.

Despite an initial issue with the hot water, we had a pleasant stay and had everything we needed. The flats are a little further out from central Brussels than is entirely practical but the public transport links are pretty good. The room was very clean and has clearly been renovated recently. Overall would recommend to anyone travelling on a budget!

Great stay an easy bus ride from the city center. Room came with a microwave, kettle, and basic dishes/utensils. Good accommodation.

Reception was rarely in which wasn’t an issue (but may be depending on check-in and check-out needs).

Once again, as good as expected.

We booked in this place again after 2 years. Before covid outbreak everything was excellent, and still is. You get much more than you pay, the place is nice and tidy, the location excellent and accessible 24/7 using buses (Peterbos stop has connection to Gare du midi & Gare Centrale and by using the Meir you can get to Midi pretty early if you need so. Anderlecht is a quiet place if you re not looking for troubles, so i can't find any reason someone wont choose these flats instead of the much more expensive right in the center. If i had a complaint to say, it would be that we may wanted a little better housekeeping but it didn't bother us much. Even so, we 'll book there next time we ll find ourselves in Brussels 100%.

Even better than expected!! Loved it!

Belgium is known for high quality servises. And Budget Flats Brussels at Anderlecht totally was on that level. A gentleman as a manager, comfy rooms, excellent spot, total value for money. Pretty close to center by bus (86 to and from Peterbos or Willemys) or metro (Saint Guido). Even night buses for Friday/Saturday(N13 fron Gare Centrale). On our next visit to that beautiful country, we will book again for sure.

Dont over promise. I cane to this place because it said it had a washing machine, which it does, but you cannot use it because they do not have the coins. Then they sent me an email saying that they have a kitchen where I can cook my own food, I went to the supermarket, bought food, but it turns out they do not have a kitchen, which means I lost the food I bought. And then when I tried to buy a stella from the vending machine, something else came out

The hotel is well located and close to the metro and has parking in a vicinity and so easy to get into the city centre. The only issue is that the walls are so thin and are not sound proof and it is possible to hear the neighbours talking.

Very nice hotel attendant. Not a lively location, so hotel could make use a pay dispensary for microwaveable food. Rooms are spacious, but often lighting remains inadequate (bulbs not bright enough) a common hotel, though not apartment problem. Easily remediable problems in my opinion to make this Budget Hotel even more enjoyable.

Excellent budget accommodation and a manager who certainly goes more than the extra mile to help his guests. A little out of the Center of Brussels but easy, inexpensive access by bus and metro. I enjoyed my stay and would choose to stay there again if I am in Brussels.

Nice appartement out of town.

It’s a nice building with descent appartements, each has a little fridge and a microwave. There’s also a flatscreen with a lot of English channels but no local. You can also find a nice kitchen where you can cook more elaborate meals. You need to take your bath gel and shampoo because it’s not supplyed. It’s out of town with little public transport so it’s better to have a car. At just 1k you have the highway with just next to it a shopping center.

Cost-effective self-contained flat in Brussels

The cost is important because the property is very noisy (on a main road and close to the Anderlecht football stadium) but is very close to a bus route which gets you to a metro station very quickly.
Low cost and transport options win out over lack of chic-ness!

This hotel served a fantastic continental breakfast to your room that was enough for two people or take some and make up the rest for the afternoon. The concierge was not only extremely friendly, but also was very accommodating: early breakfast was no problem. a good variety of local pubs at the Anderlecht stadium with really cheap prices for Brussels and friendly locals. Easy to get in and out of the city centre from its location and from the airport. I highly reccomend the Budget Flats Brussels.

Apartments located 10 minutes from city centre

Check in was good and the gentleman at reception was warm and friendly.
The whole apartment complex smells of stale smoke. Room photos are misleading regarding layout, with twin rooms (2 beds) when it is in actual fact a double. Only discovered after check in, and the gentleman at the front desk saved the day by providing a separate single mattress, duvet and pillow. Seems to be a regular occurance that can be easily solved by removing the 2 bed photo.
Rooms were presented in a good clean condition, albeit compact, and 2 nights would be enough.
The area is residential with no cafes or bars or restaurants, however, a 10 minute walk will take you to a shopping complex. Its about 15 euros for a taxi into the city centre. You can also get a bus 100 metres away from apts, then switch to the underground for just 2.5 euros.
The property served its purpose as a place to stay for 2 nights whilst over for the Celtic game.

The neighborhood is nice, plenty of street parking. Check in was quick and easy, you'll need a door code to get in though (was sent before the trip via email). The room was a decent size for 2 beds...needs some maintenance though. Overall, for 2 travelers on a budget, it was adequate.

I have been travelling my entire life, and I have never ever seen in my entire life of travelling a hotel that has a timing for heat during the winter. Myself and my friend got there around 8 clock PM, it was freezing cold that night, we were trying to turn on the heat and it didn't get turned on. We called the downstairs desk, and he told us that the heat gets turned on only from 4 Pm till 10 PM. what in the world is this system!! at night the weather gets colder people not warmer! and my friend was really sick, so we just had to go book another hotel with a heat. we booked flat Brussels for 3 nights, we didn't sleep there one night and also gave them the keys one day earlier, pretty much we paid for NOT sleeping there. I DONT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE! they don't tell you about the heat on their website! I contacted the hotel multiple times trying to get some money back, and nothing, they didn't care!...terrible flats!

Room was fairly large with frig, microwave, very large 2-sink bathroom (shower typical small European) and availability to larger kitchen downstairs. Nice lawn in back yard. Too far from train station and hard to figure out location as no locals ever heard of the road. Desk clerk was very helpful.

The walls are paper thin, and you have to take a but and 2 metro rides to get there. The nearest large grocery is about a 20 min walk. You get a limit on your free WiFi every 24hr period. The room was large, but that is about it. I recommend you get closer to the city, or you'll spend time and money getting to this place.

Nous avons passé une nuit convenable mais je suis contente de ne pas y avoir beoin d'une seconde nuit. Correspond à une offre budget.
Il faut bien faire attention a regarder les instructions par mail avant d'arriver. Je n'avais pas reçu les instructions et donc n'avait aucune information tout en sachant qu'il n'y aurait pas d'accueil surplace.

This was the worst and dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. The check-in process was a complete failure. They emailed us a code to open a safe that was supposed to contain the envelope for self-check-in. However, when we arrived and opened the safe, it was empty. We contacted the hotel, and they said they couldn’t reach the manager and told us to wait. They couldn’t specify how long we would need to wait. After approximately an hour, the manager finally arrived and gave us the envelope. When we requested to cancel our reservation, we were told we needed to speak with the manager to discuss a refund.

The room itself was a total disaster. It smelled terrible, just like the rest of the hotel. The bed was sagging in the middle, and the sheets also smelled bad. The entire room, including the bathroom, was old and poorly maintained.

Additionally, the parking that was advertised was not available, and the hotel looked nothing like the photos. It felt unsafe as well; the door locked with a basic key, and it didn’t seem sturdy. There was a small heater in the room, but no outlet to plug it in.

What’s worse, we weren’t the only ones facing issues. There were others in the same situation, frustrated with the lack of service. Despite all this, no apology or compensation was offered. Being left in the cold, waiting without any clear communication, was an unacceptable experience. We’ll be lucky if we didn’t catch something from this place.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Lage ist auch gut, da die Unterkunft zwischen zwei Busstationen ist. Laut war es während unseres Aufenthalts auch nicht. Es wurde lediglich im Flug wenig gelüftet und der ständige Geruch von Essen war etwas unangenehm.

長期滞在など旅慣れた人にはホテルが高いブリュッセルにおいてリーズナブルな宿泊施設で、お勧めします。
ただし、ここはホテルではなくアパートと思った方がいいです。チェックイン時間以外は人はいません。私は時間外だったので、初日はセーフボックスで鍵を受け取り、出る時は鍵をドロップして、最後まで施設の人に会いませんでした。入り口のドアは番号で開けるのですが、これが言われたものと違う時があって、その時は電話で聞いたりしました。
アメニティの類は一切ありません。シャンプーすらありません。手洗い用の石鹸のみです。
部屋には食器や電子レンジがあります。こういうスタイルの宿です。
なお、中は清潔で困ったことは何もないです。暖房もよく聞いていました。
場所は、中心からちょっと離れてバスに乗る必要があります。バスは多方面から頻繁にあります。周囲はアパートがたくさんある住宅地のようです。特に危険な感じはしませんでした。
私は機会があればまた泊まりたいと思います。

Réclamation de remboursement de la nuit pour non

Je ne peux rien raconter car arrivée à l’hôtel la réception était fermée et le téléphone pour avoir quelqu’un était sans réponse.
Un mail aurait dû me parvenir pour m’expliquer la procédure de récupération de la clé. Mail de je n’ai pas reçu...
Après après attendu prés d’une heure dans le hall les caméras de surveillance pourraient l’attester j’ai du prendre mon courage à deux mains et partir de ce lieu qui devenait insecure car hébergeant des groupe d’hommes qui faisaient des va et vient dans le hall ...
Donc je souhaiterais que cette nuit si je n’ai pas utilisé me soit remboursée.

Gefallen hat uns die Ausstattung mit Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle und Wasserkocher. Der Pkw konnte kostenfrei vor dem Haus geparkt werden. Die Sauberkeit und der Service waren jedoch nicht Standard; während unseres 6 tägigen Aufenthalts wurden weder die Handtücher getauscht, noch der Abfall entsorgt oder der Boden gereinigt.
Bei der Auswahl dieser Unterkunft war uns wichtig, dass es Frühstück gibt. Dies war jedoch so nicht möglich, erst am Mittwoch wäre Frühstück angeliefert worden. Somit mussten wir uns selbst versorgen.
Fazit: Deutsche Jugendherbergen haben einen vergleichsweise besseren Service. Die Unterkunft wurde auch von Personen (z.B. aus Polen) genutzt, um tagsüber auf die Arbeitsstelle zu fahren. Sozial nicht integrierte Personen haben auch übernachtet.

Balcon commun pour toutes les chambres donc de nombreux passages devant la porte vitrée, manque d'intimité et de calme. Toutefois l'environnement est sympathique, je pense que hors canicule et peut être avec d'autres voisins de chambre moins turbulent et bruyant le séjour aurait pu être beaucoup plus sympa.

Двух дней в Брюсселе вполне достаточно

Удобства в отеле минимальны. Ванная,туалет,кровати,чайник,микроволновка,посуда. Парковка вдоль улицы(если удастся найти свободные места), до метро-километр. Это окраина. Кондиционирования нет, спали с распахнутыми окнами. Ночью тихо,если окна выходят во двор.

Hotel puant. On réserve une chambre avec un lit DOUBLE et on ne l'a pas. La direction s'en fou royalement et ne fais rien alors que quasiment toutes les chambres sont vides. Ne pensez pas avoir droit à du savon ou du shampoing cela serait trop demander. La chasse d'eau qui n'enlève rien. La télé ne fonctionne pas. C'est bruillant on entend la chasse d'eau des autres chambres. Plafond trouer. Draps déchirés. IMMONDE de saletés. check out est tôt pour un hôtel. Direction absolument PAS conciliante et compréhensive.

Excellent accueil, très bon concept, mais l'hôtel à besoin d'une sérieuse rénovation (ex salle de bain: lavabos peu appétissants, meuble endommagé par possible dégât des eaux, paroi de douche non adaptée à la dimension... ou ascenseur peu rassurant) et entretien minimaliste ( les vitres par exemple hyper-sales, ou la prise derrière la table de nuit sans protection). Je vais y retourner pour une huitaine de jour, en espérant pouvoir utiliser une salle de bain un peu plus hygiénique.

Sem carro não vale a pena.

Infelizmente não fiquei no hotel, a guest house era aparentemente limpa e organizada o grande problema é que fica MUITO longe do centro, para chegar lá tive que usar duas conduções, ou seja, para quem depende de transporte público não vale a pena. Além disso, acho que a região não é muito segura pois vi placas informando as pessoas para não deixarem seus pertences no carro pois eles podem ser arrombados. Tentei o reembolso mas não consegui.

Das Zimmer sekbst war vollkommen in Ordnung. Das Bad ging leider gar nicht. Schimnel an der Decke, kaputtes Mobilar, vergilbte Waschbecken. Da muss dringend etwas getan werden.

Im ganzen Haus galt Rauchverbot, dennoch schlug einem sofort der Geruch von Zigaretten entgegen.

Der Hotelier war sehr nett und wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen.

Für eine Nacht war es okay, aber länger würde ich nicht dort bleiben wollen.

Bruxelles est une ville magnifique, mais l'hôtel était vraiment mauvaise.
A part l'accueil qui était super, l'hôtel est en mauvais état.
Mauvaise literie, odeur se tabac froid dans la chambre et dans les couloirs, des rats devant l'entrée de l'hôtel, on sentait les ressorts du matelas.
Bref, et je ne recommande pas du tout cet établissement.

Facile de stationner dans les rues voisines. Points négatifs, odeur très présente de cigarette, lit placé contre le mur dans notre chambre, une tonne de poussière en dessous, avec par exemple un bouchon de stylo et un mouchoir. De la poussière sur tout les meubles. La bouilloire était vraiment sale également.
Très bruyant à partir de 6h30 du matin, à cause de la circulation.

Des RATS ont élu domicile dans le buisson à moins d'un mètre de la porte d'entrée. Pas super d'avoir des gros rats qui nous passent à proximité comme si de rien était.

L’accueil était très agréable, par contre tout se gâte dans la chambre. Une partie des lattes du lit avaient sauté, le matelas de très mauvaise qualité (je pouvais presque compter les ressorts avec mon dos), la tv ne fonctionnait pas, les plinthes électriques à moitié arrachés, un bruit de fond pendant la nuit plutôt désagréable (chaudière ?) et pour finir le petit-déjeuner de très mauvaise qualité (12€ !).
c'est un hôtel qui peux dépanner par son bas coût, mais il ne faut pas être exigeant et je conseille d'aller au restaurant plutôt que le petit déjeuner.

Appartement ayant besoin d'être refait

L'appartement dans lequel nous avons séjourné n'était pas en bon état. Des peintures mériteraient d'être refaites. L'éclairage était défaillant. L'eau chaude mettait un temps fou à arriver. Seuls avantages : bonne literie et spacieux.

Fuite du WC donc sans arrêt le réservoir du Wc en se remplissant celui-ci fesait beaucoup de bruit! Donc il a fallu que je le bloque, et je trouve qu’il y’a un manque de sécurité car il y a balcon commun avec les chambres voisines donc pas de possibilité d’ouvrir La fenêtre.

電車、バスを使わないと市内に行けなくて不便。しかし、従業員はとてもフレンドリーで良かった。部屋も古いがよく清掃されている。ただトイレの水圧が弱かったのが残念！
