The price reflects the room. If you are going to Salem for Halloween this is a decent hotel to stay in that is close to Salem. However, we had issues with the water in the bathroom. The first night the hot water was not working. Second, which I have to say the hotel cannot monitor, guests in the rooms next to us were smoking weed, so the smell permeated our room.

First time I walked in to the front lobby and was greeted by two of the hotel employees any anxious feelings that I had disappeared almost immediately.

It almost seemed like I knew them already.

We have a dog and my dog ( usually nervous in New places) took to the environment and staff just as we had.

After a couple of days we got to interact with the rest of the staff. They were all great. Not in a fake just trying to get through the work day kind of way either.




A week prior we stayed at a competing hotel a couple of miles down the street. My Pup was stressed out, the Vibe was flat so we decided we should make a change of scenery.

Best decision. We extended our stay a little longer it was a Win Win ..

Thank You to the Team at Motel 6 Danvers for a comfortable stress free stay.

See You all Again Soon!!

There were 5 men in the office. There were also 2 cop cars in the front. I didn't want to stay there anymore. They tried looking up my reservation but couldn't locate it. I told them to cancel it. This is a no frills hotel...a place to lay your head.for the night. It is in desperate need of repair and remodel. The room was clean enough and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The biggest downfall is the entire place, hallways, rooms, elevator all reek of Marijuana smell. It was very unpleasant.

Motel 6 in Danvers was exactly what I needed. Clean room, hard floors(no carpet to mess up. The service was friendly and they even helped me up off the ground when I fell. I’m in a motel 6 in Virginia tonight and the person that checked me in was not friendly and didn’t give me directions to my room.

The rooms were clean and cozy enough.
They served their purpose and were reasonably priced for being Halloween weekend near Salem. What is making me hesitant about ever staying there again was the fact that the rooms lacked a coffee pot and none of the 3 vending machines, that were as easy to find as Waldo hidden in a sea of candy canes, had coffee. We had no idea that they set out coffee in the lobby in the mornings until we went down to retrieve our coffee delivery from Uber eats

This is definitely a Motel 6 and you get what you pay for, that’s for sure.
I stayed here for 3 nights -
The first night I checked in and all was fine until I started walking up to my room. In the hallway of my room I saw a door with a towel rolled up in front of the doorframe… a few steps further and I noticed a couple cockroaches roaming around. When I got to my room I noticed a cockroach exiting the doorway. I scoped it out and didn’t find anymore that night.
The second night when I returned to my room I went to flush the toilet and saw several cockroaches scurry under the floorboard. I debated getting another hotel room but everything was far too overpriced so last minute I couldn’t afford it. So I went down to the front desk to ask to switch rooms. They were in the middle of a shift change so I waited in the lobby until they were done. While I was waiting in the lobby, another customer came down to ask for a room change as well - no idea what for though. We did the room change and they moved me from the third floor to the first floor (it seemed like they were doing renovations to the first floor because it was all set up like they were doing recent construction. That room was awesome. Major “upgrade” from what I was previously in. The water got very hot, the bathroom fan worked, but more importantly - no cockroaches!!
The third night was fine as well, no cockroaches.
The front desk staff was incredibly nice and helpful in this situation as well.

Pictures online were very misleading. Rooms did not look half as good in person. There was no hair dryer, closet space, tissues, or even pen and paper. There was only 3 pillows on our king bed with a bright light strip running across the top of head board that we could not shut off. Had tonuse blanket to cover up light so could sleep. No outlets and only 1 set of towels per person so 2 all together for our weekend stay. Just fell like for the price that they charge per night that it could have been a little more accommodating and cozy

P.S. - Elevator was definitely a little sketchy.

Another Terrible Motel 6 Experience
Beware!
We checked into this Motel 6 in the evening, two families with two rooms. From the outside, the hotel looked nice, and the man at the front desk was friendly. However, once we got inside, everything went downhill. The building was under renovation, and we were given one of the “newly renovated” rooms. On the way to our rooms, we saw several cockroaches in the elevator, and once inside both rooms, we found many cockroaches — big and small — crawling around.
We immediately left both rooms. The front desk clerk seemed tense but processed our refund right away, and we left the property. At that hour, we had no choice but to find another hotel late at night with our children thankfully we did.

This was our second awful experience with Motel 6 at a completely different location, and it was just as disgusting as the first. We will never stay at Motel 6 again. Be careful this brand has serious cleanliness and pest control problems!

Front desk concierge was super friendly and accommodating. If it wasn’t for her, I would give this place negative 10 stars. Families- please do not stay here with young children. Checked in and checked out within five minutes. Roach crawling on our bed, hallway carpets were bleached as if they were trying to remove god knows what, TV were not working (told upon checking in), an ambulance was arriving as we were leaving prob for someone having an OD. Place did not feel safe, was not sanitary, and I honestly didn’t want to touch anything. Again, if it wasn’t for the female front desk worker (I want to say her name was Nicole) this place would have nothing positive. I hope she finds a better hotel/motel to work at.

It had cig burn holes on the tub. The hallways were outdated. The area was Shaddy looking. The place felt haunted. We either heard fighting, knocking or walking every night. The phone would ring in the elevator for a random reason. We did stay the whole 4 nights for the price of one night in Salem during October, so it was what it was. With that said…The staff were fantastic!!! The overnight man working Friday and Saturday night was wonderful. I originally booked for 3 nights and ended up coming in early a night. The manager was able to adjust my stay the next day so I didn’t have to move rooms. The room
Itself was clean. No garage bags tho. We didn’t get any kind of clean up during the 4 nights there. Again.. it is what it is kinda place. The hotel was 20 mins to Salem. There is many restaurants near by so all and all.. far from the worse I’ve seen.

Was a good location for a 2 night stay. With the renovations happening, made our stay a little inconvenient with construction going on in the mornings. The rooms have are minimal; no trash bins or a working TV. Besides that, friendly staff and easy parking.
