I got this hotel as a romantic trip for me and my husband. This was the worst trip. I went 2/20-2/23, Sheraton in Columbus Ohio. The first night we froze all night with no heat. My husband turned the thermostat up and it didn't work. The refrigerator door was coming off the hinges and the metal part of the sliding door was coming off. They sent someone up but they couldn't fix it. So they said we would have to wait until people check out before we can get another room. So we couldn't go anywhere until after 4pm. The next room and a smell of pee and the smoke detector wes coming off laying on the sliding door. We got back to eat dinner at 10pm and start smelling something burnt.It was so intense that i had a migraine headache. We couldn't eat our dinner. Someone finally came up to fix the smoke detector after we asked earlier that afternoon and start to smell it to. He tried to fix it and he couldn't fix it. We had to move to a third room by that time we didn't have long to stay and my head was hurting the remainder of our stay because of that intense smell. A weekend of romance turned to a weekend of hell. We were dismissed until the maintenence man said something. I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel was okay for a short stay but it definitively needs a remodel The room was clean, the furniture and fixtures are outdated. Carpet definitely needs replaced. with some updates this place could be much better. The bed was comfortable. Parking was very crowded, making it difficult to find a spot at times.

The photos online made the room look way nicer than what I walked into. The staff were friendly, and the rooms weren’t dirty, just not the cleanest. No bugs or anything like that, so that was a relief, but the place definitely needs some attention. The lobby and floor tiles were cracked, and the elevator made noises that had me questioning my life choices every time I stepped in.

The pool area was freezing, like someone forgot heaters even exist, and there were no towels anywhere. The room setup was confusing. I honestly want to know who designed it because the layout made no sense at all. The room has potential, it just needs upgrades and a smarter design.

Corporate, call me. I have ideas.

The room was not cleaned well or in depth prior to our arrival. Handprints and stains on the wall, water stains and peeling wallpaper on the ceiling. There was also a sewage smell that kept permeating the room in and off, but we were only there for 2 nights that it wasn’t worth a room move for us to make a fuss. But we do love the hotel area, staff, and suite size.

The bar/ restaurant has great food and the bartenders are friendly and make you feel welcomed. The room was quiet and very comfortable. The layout of the room was very thoughtful. The work out room/ gym was very clean and newer equipment. The parking is very convenient. I had to extend my stay and the staff made my request effortless.

Upon arriving after 1am, we enter our room where we are hit with a strong cat urine smell. The floors were coated in filth, and what looked to be haphazardly cleaned puke, as the rug was wet and stained. The window was wide open, no screen or anything, on the 5th floor. The bed had a very visible stain on the top of the sheets, and the bathroom counter had a brown mystery smudge on it. After calling the fron desk and asking for a new room, we were told they were all booked. We spent an hour searching for a hotel when there was a concert going on, so it was near impossible. If only the room was cleaned properly, we wouldn't have had such a struggle. Front desk man was no help, no sympathy and offered no solutions. Just a shrug and a stare. He said \"Not trying to be funny, but youre going to have to go really far to find a hotel tonight.\" Sir. We know. Your establishment failed to do their job. We did everything we had to. Finally got to another hotel at 3 am. Would not recommend this hotel.

The property and hotel are fantastic. The staff is great. All of the amenities are great. The one problem I encountered was a stale/musty/sewer smell in my room. I bought an air freshener and it did get better with time, but if it did not, I was prepared to switch rooms.

Otherwise, fantastic hotel and stay!

We reserved and paid for a Suite with a king and was first given a room with disability accommodations when those were not needed. Then we were told there were no kings suites cause they are booked but I made a reservation weeks ago. Then were given a double queen room that was not really clean.

We stay in a lot of hotels as we travel a lot. In surface the nailed it. was great room and comfy bed. But it’s details that complete the experience. Shower heads are cheap. The tray in shower in wrong spot. Their breakfast buffet while not really expensive but was same offering that almost every hotel even bottom of barrel includes in overnight accommodations. They want $15 per person (Expedia offered as add on for $27 btw). To many amazing places to eat in area for same price or less for way better food. So glad we looked before paying for

It’s a nicer looking version of a basic hotel with less included. We come to area often and not likely we would choose again if other options available. We slept great.

This was a very nice hotel, especially for the price. The staff were excellent and definitely made you feel welcome. Really my only complaint is there were stains on the carpet. Even on the hallway carpet. I get it’s an animal friendly hotel but you’d think they would get their carpets cleaned. Our room wasn’t the cleanest either but we were only there one night so it was fine. Floors needs cleaned, shower needed cleaned better. It was nice having a restaurant at the restaurant, but I will say the breakfast was definitely not worth $15 a person. Save your money and go out somewhere for breakfast. Overall it was an average stay. We would probably go back, but stains give me the ick lol

The hotel lobby looked nice and clean. Fence and sign saying not reaponsible if your car gets broken into had me a little leary. I had the king bedroom with separate living room area. Multiple stains on the carpet and a few dirty spots on walls or shades. The toilet made a terrible noise when flushing. But the kicker was the hot water...shower was running 10 minutes and barely got luke warm. Same in the sink. I called the front desk finally to complain and right about then it FINALLY got hot. Showerhead was loose from the wall too.

Hotel staff is super friendly. I chose this hotel thinking I could sit by the pool with a drink in my down time but bar didnt open till 5pm. Hotel has great amenities if you have children, I felt it needed a bit of a updating specially the bathrooms. . My shower had rust and mild inside the hotel hallwayshad riped carpet. I would personally not stay her again.

Really liked this properly. Check-in staff were very polite and efficient. The rooms were clean and the shower was excellent. However, I dont understand why they only have 2 elevators given the size of the property. Also no service elevator for staff. Will definitely stay again!

I was happy with employee with a broken toe. Since I was also in a boot for my broken bone, we bonded right away. Later when I asked another employee about my BonVoy membership, she was a bit impatient. There were no other customers near but she overtook the conversation from the French speaking employee. The room was nice. All the linens and towels were fresh.the room looked clean. We would stay there again.

Bed was quite comfortable and the space was great with a separate living space, private bedroom, and bathroom. The mini fridge stayed super cold, the blinds were room darkening, and I really loved the little built-in light scones on the wall next to each side of the headboard that allowed me to have a light on while in bed and easily turn off without having to get up. We had 2 free water bottles in the room, a microwave, a couch, a chair, several drawers for clothes, and a hair dryer. We really liked the security of having to use our key card to go up in the elevators to prevent random people from just coming up.

What we didn’t like:

-While we kept our room cool, the heat and humidity smacked you right in the face as soon as you walked into the hallway. Is this a conservation of energy attempt?

-It took us about 9mins to get on an elevator to leave and check out since the elevators were so congested with everyone leaving at the same time. Maybe there should be more than 2 elevators or the hotel should consider staggering check out times?

-The shower felt clean, the water was hot, the provided shampoo and conditioner was okay- but the shower was small, the floor was very slippery, and the shower-head lacked pressure. Ugh! What an easy fix this could be.

-The toilet paper is one-ply, the towels are scratchy, and the bedding sounds like some sort of plastic fabric.

-All the lights in the room are white LED. Not a great ambiance.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

It was rather average. No throw pillows on the sofa or chair to warm up the look, and one of the lamps was wonky because it didn't have the clamp to stabilize the shade on top. The shower never got hot, it was the same temperature, cool, from start to finish. And the walls aren't insulated in the rooms. You could hear talking and the shower in the next room. It was ok, nothing to write home about.

I just stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and the only issue I had was the cleanliness of the rooms. The sheets and blankets had stains on them and felt like sand paper, the pillows were super hard. I had pizza one day and left it on the table when I woke up the following morning there was a trail of ants coming from the wall into my pizza box. The wall paper was coming off the walls and it looked like there might have been some mold behind it.

There were stains in the shower that were not cleaned I thought maybe they were rust stains at first but when I wiped them down they came off. The sliding door I thought maybe the print that looked like dirt was something that could not be cleaned either but again took a paper towel and some cleaner I bought with me and it wiped right off. I take my carpet cleaner to the hotels with me when I stay because I have had horrible experiences with dirty floors in the past. I cleaned a small piece of the carpet and my carpet cleaner had dirty water in it on the whole bedroom suite floor. I used it on the hard floor living room area and I didn’t even realize the stains that were on the floor until after I cleaned it.

I was unhappy with the front desk on the checkout day. There was no water at the cute little lemonade stand. It was just ice. I asked them nicely if it would be refilled soon. They looked at each other and were not very friendly. Then she said I’m sorry you’ll have to buy a bottled water. She said she didn’t know how to refill the water and that it wouldn’t be changed until the staff shift when someone else came on duty. I just did not think that they were friendly and they seemed annoyed that I asked. It really made me sad that they dismissed me. They were not busy and there was no one at the front desk at the time. The water could’ve easily been refilled.

Great experience! A few blemishes in the room, such as the bedroom door missing some wood, tape on the walls from previous banners, as well as baseboards being detached from the wall in the bathroom. Smaller, but worth mentioning, was that there weren’t any tissues, only a couple that were left in the box from the previous guest. The front desk was happy to accommodate with a new box of tissues, as well as an apology for the inconvenience. The bathtub also had a loose and slipping knob for the bath, as well as a crooked spout that could turn freely. I would certainly recommend staying here, but I would advise you to not look for the fine details.(dust, drywall work, paint, etc)
