A 10 night trip with various family members dropping into our holiday.
The IT at check in was slow- in fact the computers always seemed slow.
David was wonderful at reception as was Marina. Always a queue at reception I think due to the IT but very personal service when speaking to the reception staff.
Bridgette was friendly and funny at the beach bar where we visited at the end of our beach days for a pre-dinner catch up.
The resort is typical of the area, but the beds are not really comfortable- and the cover does not even reach your chest. The see through bathroom doors were not so fab- and they also have these in the public rest rooms too!
We overlooked the road which was fine as the noise did not permeate the sliding doors- although the hotel doors could do with slow closers.
It is not in the hotel blurb but they do have a laundry which we would have used if we knew about it previously.
The aircon was not efficient and the shower leaked so much! We had a leak from the ceiling too but this was sorted very quickly by the brilliant chamber maid.
The food in the hotel is amazing- the fresh cooked food, salads were fantastic with the theme nights not respecting our waistlines! 😀It would have been nice to be shown to a table but the waiting staff never stop moving! The chefs cooking are friendly and welcoming. We stayed half board.
The entertainment at the bar at the front of the hotel was excellent in that my dad could have a sing along.

- Reception for checkin was very good, with highlight to Juliana attendance.
Points to improve:
- no snacks/food option between breakfast and lunch time
- in the restaurant could have a reserved adults only space

Really wanted to like this hotel but absolutely not worth the money. I paid around $500 USD per night for a very small room with just breakfast included. I would have expected more from both the room and the hotel/service.

The room: small, lots of bugs/ants, musty smell, uncomfortable bed, clogged sink, no hooks to hang towels.

The hotel: i can tell they try to make it a good experience but it also fell flat: the pool water is very cold, and the floor is dirty with leaves. Limited pool chairs that get “reserved” and no beach chairs included. Limited towel service and a hefty deposit per towel.

The worst part: on our last night the lights in our room would randomly turn on, waking up my entire family including our baby. This happened 4-5x at all hours of the night from 12-5 am. It was absolutely maddening and unacceptable. What made it worse is when we told the front the concierge yelled at us “what do you want me to do?!” No apology or offer to credit refund or make things right. So disappointed.

Do not recommend this hotel.

Pros: very well situated on a beautiful beach , hotel is clean staff is very nice.

cons : they surcharge everything, exp. For breakfast you have access to filtered water and coffee machine supper time they close them off with a blind and charge you for filtered water that they fill in a bottle from the same machine. I found that to be very cheap!!

Hotel was overpriced but our stay was in August so that may have something to do with the excessive prices. The hotel overall was unimpressive. It is a basic beach resort hotel. Food was usually buffet style and not appetizing. The rooms had mosquitoes. They were reasonably spacious and AC in rooms made it comfortable to sleep.

Positive: 1. Front desk service (thank you Sheila and Aurelia for great and attentive service to try to address my concerns). 2. Beautiful beach. 3. Walking distance to shops and restaurants

Negative: 1. Rooms and housekeeping - very old and smelly rooms and dirty all around. Found dirty socks in our bed sheets that belonged to the previous guests- absolutely gross. We were left with ripped dirty towels after housekeeping “cleaned” our room. The smell in the resort area was so bad could not even sit and enjoy the patio 2. Food- egg shells in our scrambled eggs, frozen veggies served in the poke bowl (dinner buffet was good although incredibly busy- only one buffet for the entire resort). 3. The pool- so busy -not enough space to enjoy or find chairs.

This resort is so busy even my kids were annoyed at how many screaming kids were there. Other than the beautiful lobby, the rest of the resort is old, dirty and smelly. This is at best 3* resort. I have stayed at many resorts in the Caribbean. Mexico, etc also stayed in other Spain hotels and resorts. This is the worst resort I have ever stayed at. I felt bad for the front desk staff who were wonderful and were dealing with different guests complaining as I was standing there. They should rate this a 3* so guests know what to expect.

I had to ask to move to another Iberostar (Selection Albufera Playa- absolutely wonderful) and lost money (still waiting for one night’s refund) as staying at this resort was awful.

Nice hotel with a great beach and good size pool area. Kids play pool was very cool. Adults were enjoying playing on the bouncy slide, including me with my 14 year old daughter. Hotel is a four star, no more. Buffet is nice, but nothing crazy. Lots of seating no problems there. More babies and families with small kids than I’ve ever seen at any hotel. It wasn’t a problem. Most were adorable but we love babies. Elevator is slow. Skip the specialty restaurant Gust. No one seems to go there as they have a small menu with boring food.

The air conditioning is terrible. The front desk called us to tell us our rooms were ready for check in, which is great, but when we got there a couple hours later they could not find the reservations. We had to wait for the manager to assist us because the desk agent didn't know what to do, and he wouldn't come over first because he was checking in a large party and then who knows....took an HOUR to get checked in, he never came over, they figured it out. Did I say the A/C is weak? Went to the front desk for help as we turned on the A/C to cool off the room while we went out and got back to the same temp, HOT. Went to the front desk where the night guy told me the doors and windows had to be shut and there is a sensor in the room that knows if you are in the room. Told him the A/c is pushing air at a slight breeze pace. After some convincing, he gave me another room key and went to another room he gave me, checked the A/C. Same as our room. A hairdryer blows harder. Took 3 hours to cool the room off to a comfortable temp. Beds and pillows 3 star level. 4 star hotel no way??

We loved the sea.it was so good for a toddler. Staff was really good. Food was very nice. Room & hotel ware always clean.
We had a continuous bad smell in our room and it was from the pluming pipes of the shower drain. If you can, i suggest you do not get a room in the ground floor.on the 5th day we were offered to change the room but it was too late as we were leaving i two days.

The front desk staff were all super helpful at checkin and other times during the stay.
I was in an accessible room and it was spacious and clean.
Although the pool areas weren't busy because the weather was cold the separate children and adult pools will appeal to those who want some peace and quite.
I was out for some cycling, it was a very cycling friendly hotel even though it was a relatively high end hotel.
The hotel is also right on the beach with a bar overlooking the beautiful sandy beaches and crystal clear water.
Didn't use the SPA, but it looked great, the staff recommended I used it when I joked the outdoor pool was a bit cold (visited in April).
Outside the hotel the location is great, loads of great restaurants and bars and cycling shops. If you do the 312 cycling event it was right on the start finish line which was a life saver for me after nearly 14 hours of cycling.
All in all, good hotel, would recommend!

Location is great. Grass area with pine trees in between the hotel and beach is super cozy and tranquil - with a sign \"Do not walk on it\" and EVERYONE rightfully ignoring it..... Sea is wonderful and warm but NOT as calm as you see on all brochures and websites...Good gym - BUT to find it is a challenge as there are NO signs to it and the reception staff gave me terrible directions. Rooms are nice and simple BUT very small especially if you have a family of three and are given double room. Balcony seem bigger then a room - direct sea view was very nice but every balcony has 0% privacy with Neighbours.... Entertainment was excellent especially for families with children. If anyone looking for a more tranquil holiday - go next door to the \"Village\" hotel....Food was literally HIT OR MISS.
It's a shame as most of dishes looked very appetising but almost every meal I wanted to get the cooks who made them to try it in front of me....... some dishes were ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE - be very careful and avoid all shellfish as it's either tastlessly chewy or almost raw and full of sand and guts like the razor clams - THEY WERE DISGUSTING!!!!! I made a comment about it to the waiter and he laughed it off.....
The safest choice is to stick to grilled meats and fish made on the spot and simple things like or fresh salads
The room was cleaned very late in the day even that we put a sign \"please clean our room\" in the morning and even mentioned this to the reception

Very good hotel with extremely polite staff

We had an excellent week at Iberostar Playa del Muro. The hotel is really set up to have your kids very well entertained. Staff is extremely polite and ready to solve any minor problems. Radka was of great help since our first day. Ready to help and very efficient. Opportunities for improvement: pool with ocean view (this one I believe is not feasible anymore) and service at the pool and beach. Unfortunately you don't have the option to have drinks and appetizers being served while you are enjoying the pool or the beach. Overall we had a very good experience and would certainly come back.

Looks nice from the outside not in the inside

We stayed for 3 nights. First night the AC was not working. They offered to switch to another room but wanted us to have to go back to the same room in the morning Because \"we only paid for that room\". And the other room is an upgrade. Plus they could not tell what time in the morning, and we had plans already. So We did not switch rooms since we're only there for 2 more nights. The AC got fixed the next day but overnight the ceiling in the bathroom started leaking water. We couldn't use bathroom during the day. So overall the hotel does not live up to the Iberostar reputation that it usually does. It was horrible.

Hotel was nice with plenty of activities , situated on the beach, our room was quite small for 2 adults and one child! Buffet restaurant and food ok but gets quite busy and noisy, restaurants 5-10 minute walk, Alcudia port 3 miles away with lots of restaurants but needed to catch bus (4 euros for 3 people) bus stop directly outside hotel or taxi for approx 12 euros.

Everything was great except for the fact that the sunloungers (around the pool and on the beach) were blatantly reserved by selfish guests some of whom never bothered using them. Really annoying!

Playa de Muro is right on the beach and has a great buffet. The buffet serves different items each day so your not eating the same thing everyday. The high school level of entertainment every evening was terrible. The adults had NOTHING to do after the pool closed at 1900. Hire a comedian for the show and a decent guitar player/singer for the bar. Every evening after dinner, the adults would buy a drink and sit down at the show or bar. 5 min. later, I would see everyone standing up to leave and be left wandering around the hotel.

Great location, virtually on the beach ! We enjoyed a great view from our room. Fairly basic but clean and comfortable beds for adults. The children's sofa beds could do with more comfort. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent with great variety and well presented. Always got sunbeds without having to creep about in the early hours ! Only one criticism is that the bar with the sea view shuts too early at 6.30. There is other options and we could see why they do it but it is always nice to have a sun downer at the end of the day chilling and gazing out to sea. Apart from that, we had a great holiday and really enjoyed our stay, would go back. The only problem with repeat visits to Iberostar is the entertainment - watching Simba and Scar for the 4th year in a row was a bit dull but I think the kids still enjoyed it, we just had to hide in another bar !

Iberostar Playa de Muro is a strong 3 star holiday destination with a few exciting things in it. Take half board but I would not recommend all inclusive. On-site dining included in HB is very good, if you need lunch you can go into a small sea-facing cafe in hotel or walk out across the road for a good choice of cafes there.
Do not take the beach chairs (they a re for fee), chill around the hotel's pools and drop out for sea swimming when needed, it is a short walking distance.
In general it was a good holiday experience, may worth 150..200 eur per night, not more

Nice hotel, with good facilities and we (4 adults and a 3 year old) enjoyed our stay. Food was good (HB).
Negative points: One of the rooms was next to kitchen/rubbish area and two cockroaches were sighted (we were move to another room). The second room developed a leak from the roof after heavy rain...
Furthermore, no drinks were included in half board and we were not allowed to bring our own either - that is rather petty I thought.

Just returned from this hotel 8 days. Very international guests so nice not to be surrounded by fellow Brits. Children's play area needs updating as very tired (compared to what we are used to in the UK). That's the only complaint. Rooms lovely, food lovely, pools great, being so close to the sea great, kids disco fun, entertainment great. Wonderful place. Am new to Iberostar, lovely brand of hotel - we will go back. Would advise to go full board and not half board. Pay the extra and get all food and drink covered. We had an extra 600 Euro bill at the end of the holiday....

Super hotel, excellent holiday

This is a nice, clean, hotel with good facilities, positioned right on the beach. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. We had a lovely view of the sea from our balcony. The food was excellent: more than enough variety, with much fresh fruit and a good salad bar also available. One of us has special dietary needs, and the kitchen was helpful in providing suitable meals.

We enjoyed spending time in the spa when we had had enough sun. There was a large indoor swimming pool with lanes, and a smaller pool with warm water and various underwater jets, in addition to a sauna and a gym. These were available to guests at no extra cost.

Whilst we enjoy going to a different hotel every holiday, this is a hotel we may well return to as it ticked all our boxes.

Lovely Hotel with close proximity to the beach

I have just spent 5 days here with a friend. The hotel is lovely as are all the staff. We had a comfortable room with everything that we needed. It is really close to the beach which was wonderful, the water is clear and the beach is really clean, fantastic for families with children. We were a bit disappointed with the food as there is only the buffet restaurant included in the all inclusive price as the other snack bar didn't open until 1st July and the a la carte restaurant next to the beach isn't included in the package which was a bit misleading, so consequently the food became a bit samey. In fact on our last evening we walked up the road and paid for a meal in a local restaurant. The entertainment team were great in the evenings putting on a great show. It might be a good idea to change the times of the entertainment in the piano bar as it finished either before or the same time as the main entertainment and it is nice to be able to sit and have a drink a bit later in the evening whilst listening to some music.

Excellent hotel by the beach.

The hotel is beautifully situated by the beach. The food is buffet based but all fresh, meat and fished cooked on the griddle. The range of food is excellent too; fresh fruit, pasta, salads and special dishes. There are two pool areas and and indoor pool and gyms. The in-house cycle hire has 100's in stock with a package for drinks and a snack for the ride. There are also organised rides of different levels if you wish. The staff are polite and efficient. There are not many Brits who stay there, the majority of customers being German or Swiss but it creates a good atmosphere and ensure good service! I rated the room comfort low as we had some significant noise from the aircon blowers.

Great for families, plenty to do as well as space to do nothing at all & relax! Perfect location on lovely sandy beach with crystal clear water. The restaurant buffet was excellent with fabulous choice of foods. We were looked after brilliantly by Rafa the head waiter when we sat in the outdoor area.

Pro's: Lovely hotel with really good facilities, excellent meals, reasonably priced, beach just a stone throw from the pool, lovely spa (with heated pool, all in all a lovely place to stay. Good location, 5 mins in a cab from the Port.

I expected more from a 4* hotel that's part of a larger chain. They charge you wherever and whenever possible for all sorts of things. Internet is at 1EUR for 10min if you use it lobby on one of their computers. The price for a wifi in room was sky high. Minibar was empty, but you can use the fridge anyway. No kettle to make tea or coffee in room. Bed mattresses were so worn out that you couldn't roll to one side - you kept rolling back to the middle all the time. The hotel is right by the beach, but the use of it is limited couple of small patches in between the space owned and managed by private company charging you 10EUR a day for 2 deck chairs. You can spend the day by the hotel pool though which was good I must say, but not ideal for children. as adults and children use the same pool.
We went to the hotel restaurant to dine only once on our first night as it was quite late and we didn't want to hunt for a meal on the main road outside (there's lots of restaurants there, but I'd suggest Toppo Giggio - they're the best there). The hotel charged us 26EUR per person to dine in their buffet restaurant, but I was surprised to find out that not even a simple juice or anything else to drink isn't included in the price - they charged you on top for any drinks.
If we go to Mallorca again then it will be to another hotel for sure.

Superb hotel for familys

We stayed in the Playa De Muro Village which is next to the main hotel.We were told this was an upgrade and can only agree.The hotel is perfect for familys or couples looking for a quiet break.We stayed in the 3rd week of september and there was only a few familys with younger children.The village complex is situated directly on the beach and also has a great pool area with plenty of sun beds.
The room we had was a one bedroom apartment which was spacious and cleaned to a very high standard each day.
The staff throughout the hotel were extremely helpful and courteous.
We had an all inclusive package and all restuarants & bars were perfect and cannot fault.
I believe we were a little lucky with the upgrade to the village as the hotel itself was far busier.
The only small fault would be the entertainment.
As a sumary i would give the Playa De Muro Village a 4.5 star rating and would highly recommend familys with small children or couples who want to relax.

I am very unhappy with this hotel due solely to the front desk staff and the management. I have traveled extensively and have never complained about a hotel. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Their front desk staff was rude, unhelpful and argumentative multiple times during our stay. I will never return to an Iberostar hotel again (much less this one). I had a 20+ hour trip home & I could not sleep much the night before because the air-conditioning was not working in our room and it was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit outside. They tried to offer two additional rooms but both rooms were hotter than the original room, yet they refused to say that the air conditioning did not work in those rooms. One front desk employee said \"No one else is complaining about the air conditioning\". There was no manager on staff that evening to help with our issue. The manager was rude, condescending and argumentative to us on a separate issue relating to a mishap in our reservation. There are extra charges for the room safe & the internet and a deposit on each pool towel. The hotel does NOT own the beach & to use 2 chairs & an umbrella, it is 10 euro a day! Breakfast buffet was fine. Lunch was average & very overpriced. Our room faced the gaming area. During bb shooting practice, a bb hit our window. The manager did not believe us when we told him! The beach & ocean were lovely & we found a good beach restaurant nearby for dinners.

Great Place!!! However, not a 5* hotel

I loved my stay at Iberostar but It was a little disappointing with the comfort of the bed and we also had to pay extra cost per a night to be able to see the sea and not hear the traffic all night. The hotel facilities, staff and location was great but the rooms were not of a 5* standard. However, I still recommend this hotel.

Super localização, com acesso directo à praia. Boas instalações, quartos amplos, ginásio 5 estrelas (o melhor que já estive num hotel!), boa comida em qualidade e variedade. Único senão - os horários dos serviços de refeição são sagrados - nem 1 minuto a mais; aliás, começam a retirar as coisas a partir dos 5 minutos antes da hora de fecho. Achei super deselegante e nada simpático; não é assim que se faz - o recomendado é fechar a porta da sala de refeições no horário marcado, avisar quem está ainda a comer que vão fechar o buffet e só então começar a retirar as coisas. Não vi ninguém a refilar, talvez porque a maior parte dos hóspedes são alemães e 21h para eles já é hora de estar a dormir, mas lamento, estamos na Espanha, somos mediterrânicos, não temos medo da noite. Não gostei dessa parte da experiência. Além disso, tinha direito na reserva a 1 garrafa de espumante no quarto, que tive de ir pedir especificamente; quando a trouxeram, não trouxeram copos - achariam que eu ia beber pela garrafa ou pelos copos da casa de banho?...

Im Hotel sind viele gute Ansätze erkennbar, die jedoch leider nicht durchgehend auf gleich hohem Niveau gehalten werden. Für die Kleinsten stehen beispielsweise sogenannte Kids Corner zur Verfügung, die jedoch häufig nicht sorgfältig gepflegt werden (z. B. eine lose Eingangstür, Unordnung oder beschädigtes Spielzeug).
Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet eine grosse Auswahl, ist jedoch nur teilweise abwechslungsreich – am reichhaltigsten an Samstagen.
Das eher kleine Zimmer (mit defekter Schranktür) wurde leider nur unzureichend gereinigt (Sand und Haare auf dem Boden).
Positiv hervorzuheben sind die Strandnähe, die Aktivitäten im und rund um den Pool sowie das freundliche Personal.

Ausserordentlich schöne Lage des Tennisplatzes, der Anlage allg sowie des Frühstücksbuffets am Meer. Personal super freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufgestellt. Leider hatten wir ein wenig Pech mit unserem Zimmer. Es riecht sehr nach Schimmel, da viel Wasser aus der Dusche läuft und unter die Platten und Wand versickert. Ebenfalls hatten wir sehr viele kleine Ameisen im Zimmer, was grundsätzlich nicht schlimm ist aber als ich die letzten zwei Nächte mehrmals von diesen krabbelnden Tierchen auf meiner Haut geweckt wurde, fand ich es nicht mehr so prickelnd. Nichts desto trotz eine schöne Anlage und die Ameisen und den Schimmel kann man eliminieren😉

Unser 1. Zimmer hat uns gar nicht gefallen (behindertengerecht und im EG, dunkel, keine Aussicht). Personal an der Rezeption zeigte sich sehr verständnisvoll und so konnten wir am anderen Tag ein anderes Zimmer beziehen, welches uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Vielen Dank!

Casi perfecto!

En general, la experiencia ha sido maravillosa para toda la familia. Localizacion, servicios, equipo (destacar a Abril y Emma en el Kid's Club, a Sheila en Guest Services, a los segundos en el comedor) e instalaciones fueron de ensueño y volveremos al 90%. La nota mas negativa fue que aunque se anuncia aire acondicionado en las habitaciones, no lo tienen en servicio en esta epoca del año. Entiendo el porque pero por un lado se anuncia un servicio que no dan, y por otro lado hizo que pasasemos calor con lo que (1) no descansamos bien por las noches, y (2) la noche que dejamos la ventana abierta, amanecimos picados por mosquitos. Entiendo que por el dia no haga falta el aire acondicionado, pero por la noche era supernecesario y de alguna forma estropeo la experiencia. Otros dos detalles negativos. Al primero es que no habia desayuno take-away para salidas tempranas al aeropuerto - hay una zona con comida nocturna disponible pero ni habia cafe, ni untensilios para poder llevarselo (ni vasos ni emboltorios de take'away). Por ultimo, las camas eran demasiado blandas para nuestro gusto, aunque entiendo que es algo dificil de estar al gusto de todos los huespedes. A pesar de estos detalles negativos, la experiencia general fue maravillosa.

Das Hotel ist ein Familienhotel. Ich würde es nicht für Pärchen empfehlen oder Personen welche entspannen wollen.
Der Empfang war herzlich wir haben ein Upgrade für ein Meerblick Zimmer erhalten. Die Zimmer leider sehr klein, das WC und der Schrank in den normalen Zimmern haben das Badezimmer direkt so das man alles hört. Der Safe ist extra zu bezahlen.
Das Restaurant ist sehr groß und extrem laut, obwohl wir außerhalb der Ferien gebucht haben waren sehr viele Kinder. Das Essen war gut und die Auswahl riesig.

Wenn man Ruhe sucht wird man diese nicht finden. Zimmer sehr hellhörig. Die Liegen werden sofort in aller Früh reserviert mit Handtüchern und ein Platz am Pool ist dann nicht mehr zu finden. Obwohl es eigentlich nicht erlaubt wird, wird auch nichts dagegen unternommen.
Für Familien gibt es reichlich Programm. Wenn man selbst Kinder hat dann ist das Hotel zu empfehlen.

Sehr viele Kleinkinder.
Atmosphäre im Restaurant gleicht einem IKEA-Restaurant.
Strand schön, aber schmal (nicht viele Liegen am Strand vorhanden).
Es wird das übliche Liegestuhl frühmorgens reservieren Spiel gespielt, obwohl eigentlich nicht erlaubt. Jedoch wird vom Personal nichts dagegen unternommen.
