Friendly staff, great spa facilities that was included with our room and the room itself had everything needed. It was clean, well equipped and even has a minibar. despite it being -21 over night, the room was warm and comfortable. The location itself is also absolutely ideal for visiting Riga. The airport bus stops it front of it and the entire city is walkable for there.

The room was clean and the hotel was great, warm and very central. The reason I didn't give 5 stars was because my room was very noisy: I could hear the TV from the room next door and the constant walking from the upper floor which didn't allow me to relax or rest. Also, the internet was really bad: very slow, always going off and having to log on manually and on several occasions I couldn't log on. Other than that, it was a nice hotel.

Helpful staff on reception. Nice clean room - although dated. The heating was always too hot even when we turned it off - slept with the window open all night in November! Had 1x use of the spa which was very clean and pleasant. An hour is more than enough.

The location is extremely convenient for transportation and also great for shopping. The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, some of which had a lovely home-cooked feel, which was excellent.

Really easy to find from the efficient and regular Airport bus into the city. We arrived way before check-in time but the very busy young lady on reception checked us in and let us leave our bags until the appropriate time.
Our room was on the 6th floor and very quiet from noise inside or outside the hotel. The room was very simple laid out with everything that we needed and more. Both the sleeping and bathroom areas were very clean.
Breakfast had a good variety of food types hot and cold,my only issue being a vegan, was that there wasn't such a choice for my dietary requirements. A couple of things looked like they would be vegan but were not. Allergens were clearly marked on the labels for the food themselves. Almond milk was provided. A separate area for gluten-free. My husband who is vegetarian love to breakfast. Breakfast staff were always busy and very efficient.
We used the spa both days that we were staying. The first day a Friday, was less busy than the Saturday. We very much enjoyed the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. I would suggest you book the spa before arrival so not to be disappointed if it's too full to accommodate you.
We very much enjoyed staying at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Great location. Close to bus top and old centre. However the hotel is not the best. It's perfectly ok, but I found it inconvenient and uncomfortable. For example, I arrived at 2:15pm I could not check in. There was no window on the rooms dn I fiu d it very hot. The spa was an extra charge even though its featured in the pictures. Just did not mert my expectations.

We have stayed in this hotel many times. It’s always great experience at a great price. This time I lower rating due to the room we stayed at - it was number 325 and right next to it there is a heavy metal door leading to cleaning staff’s storage and an elevator. So everyday at around 7am they start moving around carying their tools and hoovers, slamming this metal door, knocking hoovers at the walls and even at our door directly, so no chance not to wake up. Avoid this room and this end of the corridor in general if possible.

A key reason for booking a room at the hotel was to use the pool and sauna. When I enquired at reception about access to the pool and sauna I was told that the pool and sauna were there for guests paying for Spa treatment. I did not want Spa therapy and therefore I did not use the pool or sauna, very disappointing.

Very noisy!! The location of the hotel to the local transport links means constant noise from the trams / buses etc. there are also a couple of bars nearby and the noise travels from the outdoor seating (room dependent we were almost directly above the seating outside).
Suite was a generous size (802) though. Breakfast choice was good but busy at times and had to wait to be seated.

Very good and central location

Really central location. Easy walk to Old Riga and the main tourist attractions (House of the Blackheads, Occupation of Latvia museum etc). If you are getting the bus from the airport the stop is right on the street in front so very convenient.

The room was really nice and had everything needed. The only downside was my room was at the front of the property right near the tram line so you could hear the trams later into the evening.

The hotel is in good place bot far from restaurant's and historical part of the city. O had an issues with my card bot opening the door after late night around midnight i couldn't get in the room with my card beitithe receptionist this was very unpleasant experience. The personal try to resolve but he lacks of communication in that process that makes all situations more awkward. It took around half hour so i went yo bed after 1am. No apologies no explanations. Let all this stay very unpleasant. Something to improve or work on. Haven't tried the Wellness amenities so can't comment on this.

I specifically choose this hotel because, unlike others, it did not indicate that there would be an additionally charge to use the spa. I was bitterly disappointed on arrival to be told it was NOT included. I would have chosen the other better positioned hotel if i had known that in advance. VERY DECEPTIVE.
I did love that there's a water filter on each floor and a reusable glass bottle in your room to fill if you don't have your own bottle. Great green initiative.
Spotlessly clean. Directly opposite train/bus station and on edge of old town.

My only comment is the strong perfume smell throughout the hotel excluding our room. I have a sensitivity to perfumes so I ended up with a migraine from all the perfume smells in the air. Just suggest that the hotel consider guests with sensitivity, it is a spa.

The Breakfast was quite good and complete and their employees were very nice and service oriented. Besides that, we expected a higher level of Hotel service.

SPA in the hotel was closed, and we were only informed when we were checking in. Pity, because we booked precisely to enjoy the SPA with our little one. We were offered SPA in other locations but most of the time the available dates/ times didn’t fit our plans, not to mention the unfriendliness of the staff there. One time we made a booking in the hotel, but because we weren’t given a voucher to the other SPA, when we went there we had to go all the way back to our hotel to get it. Other time there was a private SPA reserved which the paying guests couldn’t enjoy… so fellow tourist beware this can happen to you too.

Unfortunately, our experience was really not what we expected.

On my way flying to Riga I received a text message from the hotel relocating me to a much lower grade hotel miles away from the centre where I had already booked and paid for the Wellton hotel. They then offered that I book and pay full price again to stay at one of their other vacant hotels. Absolutely disgraceful way to run a business. I had stayed at their hotel before which in itself is a nice hotel but this is how they treat return customers, or any customer for that fact. I have emailed the hotel asking what happened but needless to say they did not reply. Will never use or recommend this company again, ever.

The staff was very helpful and nice. The room is overall clean but the sheets didn't smell fresh. There was a problem with the shower, the water not running properly. However, they sent the mechanic and sorted it out very quickly. The area is awesome, walkable within the old town area and close to the bus station 'autoosta'

The windows in the room didn't open and sometimes the air could smell a bit stale. I also suffered a fall at the spa - this could have been avoided had there been anti-slip Matt on the floor. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay at Wellton.

Great location. Close to the bus station and central market and within walking distance to main attractions. Room overall was good, although carpet was not vacuumed and still had nuts on the floor. The room was quiet though and great blackout curtain during long summer days. I had good sleep. However, the front desk ladies seem to be very busy and couldn’t really handle the workload, especially during check in and check out hours. And when one lovely lady was trying to help me, the other one (older and short hair) started yelling at her. Not very professional in front of guests regardless whether guests know the language or not. The older lady’s attitude seem to be quite selective - very polite and full of jokes when it comes to male guests, but not so much with female guests. Given that no early check in or late check out, Guests could leave their luggages in their luggage room for free but the hotel doesn’t check anything, everyone could walk in and out of the luggage room- didn’t feel safe to leave my suitcase there especially the hotel is in the busy area of town and lots of people come in and out all the time.

The hotel is just on the outer edge of the old town close to both the train & bus station. The breakfast is full & varied. The room was fine. The issue I have is I booked for 3 nights yet the accessories are restocked. The toilet paper is tiny rolls that I had to go out in the hall to replace myself. If you stay 1 night you get 2 bottles of water which is all you get for 3 nights. Explain?

The check in process went smooth. The room was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was nice. The only major issue we had was the restaurant in this hotel. Room service was listed both on the hotel website and the room brochure as closing at 9 pm. The first night of our stay, we called at 7:30 pm only to be told they were already filling an order for 2 large groups of people. The next night we called at 7:00 and was told they were closing soon and no room service was available. That was a huge disappointment.

Situated in the heart of Old Town within walkable distance from main tourist attractions. Hotel offers SPA treatments, two different nice saunas, and bubbly baths. No pool. Generous and delicious breakfast buffet. 5-10 minutes walk away from the main rail station allows an easy day trip to explore other interesting places in Latvia like Jurmala or Sigulda.

There were no toilet papers and we stayed at room and wanted to order food
The app is not working or restoring was closed
Too loud drinking neighbours all night
We haven’t got good nights sleeps
So sorry but wasn’t great stay
And we went back to room there was a cleaning lady in our room
But we not asked to change towels or clean a room
She got there without permission!!!

Would not recommend this hotel to a queer couple visiting Riga. I arrived here with my friend and on check in we were questioned on why we wanted a double bed. Although this was not what we asked for and we actually preferred two single beds it did not leave a positive first impression of the hotel and made me think about gay couples coming here who might not feel particularly welcomed by check in staff

We stayed for 2 Nights with spa access and both entries to spa caused problems cause they do not see that spa was included in the room price. So that was annoying that i had to go twice to reception and sort the things out. Good location and perfect breakfast indeed

Mostly great stay. The location very central close to transportation. The staff very really great during the stay, any issues arising were fixed immediately. The breakfast was nice as well. The downsides were the poor wifi in the room where we stayed, it mostly didnt work. The room was quite small -also, you should definitely have more than two teabags and two sugars in the room. It was also quite noisy some nights, the building is not insulated great. The spa was also not worth it. Its too small and theres only one jacuzzi with tiny pool. But for service,location and cleanliness i would stay again.

They charge for unused minibar items

In my experience this hotel is some kind of a thief. They charged me for two drinks from the minibar which I didn't drink, 5 hours after I left the hotel. And they do not reply my emails.
Other than that, in my 2 days stay security came to my room saying they got signal from my fire alarm and my key card did not work and had to return to reception once.

We got the 4th floor room facing main hotel entrance. Right next to the hotel there are several bars / clubs that go live around 8pm and noise and music was so loud until early morning hours, you can hear without any difficulty, people screaming/ singing, this entire street become noisy and loud, we stayed for two painful nights and nothing could be done. Avoid staying here or at least ask them not to put you in room facing hotel entrance. Will not stay here again.

I rated it so low cause of sleep quality - everything else was great but the bed/sleep is essential for a hotel. First, when reserving the room you are asked 2 twin beds or a 1 queen bed. I am one person on the reservation, chose 1 queen bed. It's two twin mattresses pushed together, not even a thin top mattress on top. Just a sheet over two separate twin mattresses. So you can only sleep on it as on a single bed or you fall into the gap. Second, the bed has two tiny half duvets. Again - 1 person on the reservation, queen bed. TWO single small duvets that didn't even cover half of me. It was cold, I couldn't wrap up in the duvet, so the nice hotel bed experience when you are able to wrap up and sleep comfortably was not there. Please give 1 person reservation normal size duvet and stop advertising 1 queen bed if it has a gap in the middle of two single mattresses.
