Everything was great! Will for sure be staying again!
ASHLEY
Felt like the hotel is a little dated and needs some updates. But the location is fantastic.
Sekiya
We had a great stay at the Delamar despite the terrible unusual air quality due to nearby fires. We ended up staying in our room for the most part, which was great, because it was so comfortable and clean. We had a lovely bay view room. We ate at the restaurants a few times - delicious meals. The staff was very nice and helpful.
margaret
Central location for the Cherry Festival. The staff ensured that we had a room that was quiet! Thank you!

Fitness room was over 100 degrees, beach is terrible. Pool is small. Very overpriced and outdated. Location and staff excellent. The resort fee is a cheap money grab
Tamarah
Amazing hotel in the middle of downtown! Great staff and very clean rooms. Definitely worth it!
Brandy
Room was great. Pool was better as it was very warm when we were there. Easy walking to town/restaurants.
Patricia
The hotel was fabulous! I highly recommend it. The room was clean with a fully-stocked mini bar, quality towels, quality toilet paper, quality soaps. The hotel offered complimentary shuttle service to/from the nearby downtown shops and restaurants. The hotel provides live entertainment at the lakeside bar and cushioned lounge chairs on the beach! The dinner restaurant was delicious. My only complaint would be that the breakfast restaurant lacked a kitchen, They only served coffees/teas, pastries and previously frozen breakfast sandwiches, which were not great. I would have appreciated if the dinner restaurant were open and serving proper breakfasts.
Lilly
Outdoor pool and beach areas were well kept up!

Quite disappointed with our stay - we had 2 rooms: my wife, child, myself in 428 and my parents in 309 3 night stay (6/29/26 - 7/1/26) . The issues were numerous:
Fire alarm went off 3 times - twice in the middle of the night causing evacuation- traumatic to our child and no restful sleep.
1 of 2 room reservation couldn’t be found. They booked the stay but only one night which caused keys to stop working requiring more front desk time
They post signs no outside beverage at the pool - beverages are too difficult to get - awkward lobby walk back to the pool
Hotel restaurant with no availability - 2 hr wait on arrival day.
No room service at hotel that cost $400/night?
On the final evening I was getting into bed and on the carpeting next to the bed I stepped on a shard of glass and had to pull out with tweezers. It was tough to get the bleeding to stop and rather frustrating given the experience as a whole. I’m glad it was me and not my 3 year old but a simple vacuum cleaner once in a while could have prevented it.
Pros:
Housekeepers and hotel staff were kind
Clean pool areas
Plenty of parking
Walking distance from downtown
Decent outdoor designated smoking area ; an umbrella would have been ideal.

Was startled 2 nights in a row by fire alarms going off. I didn't rest well because of this. Good location though. It was a decent hotel, but I've gotten far better value for cost elsewhere. The A/C kept resetting to 68, after I set it higher several times. Woke up freezing a few times and the unit is really loud. I likely would not stay here again.
ken
Great location that’s on the water and easy walk to downtown Traverse City. The restaurant inside the resort is very good. Our only complaint was that the A/C ran all the time.
AMBER
Amazing pools, very clean property and grounds, friendly staff. Everything was perfect!
Jennifer
The outdoor bar and beautiful surroundings were perfect!
Chrissie
This property has very nice pools, a hot tub, a sauna, and nice patio area for drinks. The rooms were nothing special for the amount of money you pay, which was a bit disappointing. For that price, I would expect the room to be a bit larger and nicer, or at least an in room microwave. The water front had high levels of E.coli, so we weren't able to use it, which was the whole point of staying here, but that was no fault of the hotel. Everything at this hotel is insanely overpriced, but the amenities were nice.
Tamara
Amazing hotel! A destination hotel even if you live close, you should go check it out! It's amazing.

The staff were incredible as always, loved having dory as our waitress, and the bartenders for the patio were very welcoming and made our time outside enjoyable. Having the nauti-cat on site was also the highlight of my trip, Quinton and Shane were so much fun to take a sunset catamaran cruise with, would 100% do it again, we love staying at the Delamar.
Michael
The rooms overlooking the pool have poor views and limited light. The room itself was fine, but the water window-view-lighting arrangement was disappointing.
Arif
Delamar Traverse City was a beautiful stay from start to finish. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with good-sized rooms, a great location, and beautiful water views.
We really enjoyed the amenities, especially the indoor pool, heated outdoor pool, and the patio overlooking the water and beach. The restaurant was very nice as well and added to the overall experience.
The staff was warm and helpful throughout our stay, from the front desk to housekeeping. Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable stay, and we would happily return.

The window view was wonderful and the bed was very comfortable. The shower is pretty. The soup at the restaurant was very good and friendly staff. I enjoyed the sail boat ride and walking to downtown. I enjoyed myself. Thank you.
Melissa
Clean beautiful spaces with excellent natural light and water views throughout the property. Kind and helpful staff. Wonderful amenities like indoor & outdoor pools as well as a cozy and well lit workout space.

Best hotel in TC
John
The building is old and need a lot of maintenance water pouring from ceiling all wood panels popping off wall
Jodie
Loved our stay here. I would highly recommend. Great views! Great bar. Great staff.
Juan
The outdoor heated pool was better than expected.
Yasaman
Awesome heated pool
Howard
The black out curtain in the bedroom hung awkwardly and did not correct with pulling curtain up and down. The desk chair was the only chair in the room and its seat was shabby with torn edges.
Also there were few or no snacks and coffee available for purchase in the evening ( we ran out of caffeinated Keurigs in the room).
Please don’t misunderstand. We had a great time! All of the staff were polite and friendly. The room looked great. The views from the building were excellent. The lobby design was lean and handsome, etc. No significant complaints.
We would love to stay with you again.

The place does not feel like a luxury resort. It appears to be an old building that’s undergone some renovations to give the allure of a luxury resort. I was unhappy with the stains on the bedding and how THIN the walls were connected to my room. I could hear everything my neighbors said speaking at a normal rate.
Julie
The shuttle driver Craig was great! The property is close to town, on the water and very clean. Plenty of parking, in house restaurants and pools. Our new favorite spot!
Daniel
Everything was great, my only nitpicking items would be that the bed was a little uncomfortable, and seemed like you could hear everyone conversation in the rooms around yours. Staff/amenities/cleanliness were all top notch. Great proximity to downtown area.
Sherry
The walls are very thin for a hotel at that price point. A kids soccer tournament made for very difficult night for sleep. Fortunately the hotel was able to move us to a quieter part of the hotel for the rest of our stay but we had to lose our bay view.
William
It’s was a very up-class feel for the price of the stay. Great food at the restaurant and the hot tub was very nice. The view of the bay was very beautiful!
Anna
Spacious, updated & clean room. Great location and restaurant on site. Staff was friendly and welcoming.
Cheryl
Beautiful hotel
Logan
The Delamar in Traverse Coty is exceptional. Incredible local to walk the downtown, enjoy the beach or just relax in a spa like environment. Recommend.
Sheila
We stay at this hotel every year for a girls’ soccer tournament, and the main reason we continue choosing this property is the outdoor heated pool area. The girls love being able to swim & do s'mores while the parents relax outside around the fire tables and cabanas. It’s honestly the feature that justifies the higher room rates for us year after year.
Unfortunately, this stay was very different from past experiences. Outdoor seating was limited, the cabanas were closed off, the outdoor fire features were not available, and the pool closed at 8:00 PM for adult swim. I even spoke with the front desk to ask whether the cabanas could be opened since they appeared fully intact and not under repair, but I was told they were closed due to the transition to the summer setup.
Had we known these amenities would not be available, we likely would have chosen a different hotel at a lower price point.
Additionally, our room stayed around 72 degrees and felt very stuffy the entire stay. We were unable to get the temperature lower. Maintenance did come to the room, but the only solution offered was a box fan, which unfortunately didn’t resolve the issue.
All that said, this is still a charming hotel in a great location, and we’ve genuinely enjoyed our stays in previous years. This visit, however, did not reflect the experience we’ve come to expect, especially considering the cost was approximately $1,000 for two nights.

This is our 5th or 6th stay at The Delamar, and it gets better each time!
Daniel
This place was really nice. My trip was during the cold season, but the outdoor pool was warm and steamy. It was really fun swimming in the warm water during the cold rain storm. The lounge is great and the evening they had live music was a lot of fun. Because it was cold outside, I spent a lot of time at the indoor pool and hot tub. Both were great, but would have loved lounge chairs. That’d be my only ask for improvement.
C
Hotel was great. Staff were great. Location was great. Enjoyed hot tub but it was closed the second night we were there. Greeted with a glass of sparkling wine which was nice. Coffee shop was good but they need to heat their steamed milk more 😊. Loved they had non feather pillows!! Would definitely stay again.
Kent
We were welcomed with warm greetings from polite staff. Rooms was clean and comfortable. Had a partial view of the pool and GT Bay. Perfect location for a beautiful sunset too!
Judi
Awesome place! I really enjoyed it
Leah
This hotel is within walking distance of a lot of great restaurants and outdoor activities. It was a luxury experience for an affordable price. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Randall
Blinds are tattered, WiFi didn’t work, safe didn’t work.
Robert
Great place to stay!
Morgan
We enjoyed the live music in the lobby over the weekend!
Ashley
Sauna & hot tub were nice and comfortable. The outdoor pool is great for kids. Loved the fireplace, hot coco, board game area.
Lorena
We went during winter and we were able to enjoy the hotel. The pools were great and the hotel itself is very esthetic and clean. We were there during the weekend, and I can't wait to visit this hotel during summer time, astonishing views 😍 😀 😎
Donald
This hotel used to be a Holiday Inn for a long time. The Delamar transition/re-model is a big upgrade. They did a nice job trying to make it a much nicer hotel. The only problem is that some of the old bones still show through. I would give it 5 stars if the remodel went a little further on the quality of the rooms and lobby. The onsite restaurant is only open till 9pm every night which is a little earlier shut down than expected for a Friday and Saturday.

The hotel itself was amazing. Room was really clean. Promised a bay view but view was more like 50 percent parking lot. Complimentary water/wine offered at check in was a nice touch. Heated outdoor pool was a cool idea. Sauna was nice too. All in all it was a great stay!
Timothy
Great place to stay and very clean. They have a very nice lounge area with some board games families can enjoy. We stayed there during the winter and they had a hot chocolate bar which was nice. They also have a heated outdoor pool open during the winter which was an experience. I would definitely book here again.
Daniel
excellent day excellent hotel excellent property. Very clean very nice. Would recommend.
Kyle
Staff were super friendly and accommodating
Karen
Great!
Claudia
Last minute trip. Check in nice and easy. Room was updated, clean, and comfortable. Bonus was the outdoor pool being heated to 93 degrees. Will book here again.
Lena
It’s very nice hotel
Sarah
Lovely pools
Lori
The very heated outdoor pool was fantastic! Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We noticed our room was missing a robe, so we let the front desk know and another one was delivered. Very attentive staff. It's a short walk to downtown. As it was a bit chilly, we didn't walk on the beach, but did notice that the dock is in a great state of disrepair - not what's pictured. Hopefully that will be remedied in the future. We'll definitely plan to stay there again in the future.
Kirsten
Absolutely love this Hotel! The staff is always amazing. Rooms are cozy, pools are top of the line!
Thanks for making us feel welcomed!!

Overall, the hotel is very nice and the staff pleasant. The fitness facility had a leak that was present when it was raining. It also was not cleaned until after eight in the morning.
Shanna
Clean rooms and all the pools/hot tub were nice as well! I highly recommend this hotel.

Fun vibe, great amenities, great dining, a lot fun!

Beautiful hotel right on the bay. Perfect lil spring break getaway, kid- friendly. The outdoor heated pool is amazing in the winter! Loved the turf grass around pool so less chances of slipping. Poolside drink orders was awesome! They provide 2 fluffy robes in your room that you can wear down to the pool. Rooms are nice, comfy beds, large TV, fast wi-fi and beautiful bathroom. Great location to everywhere in TC w/ shuttles available too. We would love to go back again!
Randall
We live in town and did a little Spring Break stay-cation with a couple of families. The kids enjoyed the pools, while the adults enjoyed the snacks and beverages from the cabanas!
The staff at the check in desk were very friendly. The glass of local wine at check in was a nice touch.
I love that the hotel rooms and common areas are furnished and designed with more unique furnishings than a standard large chain hotel. It made it feel just a little more special.

Enjoyed our stay very much.

Get property, enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pool while in town for a medical appointment.

Great time over spring break. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and going out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. The outdoor and indoor pools were fun too! We took the free shuttle and Willie our driver was very friendly and gave us great advice on getting dinner. Our son and his wife had dinner at the Delamar and had an exceptional meal. A great experience. Would recommend highly.

Wonderful

The ladies behind the front desk and check-in were fantastic. So was the bell men.
Room is clean, everyone was very friendly.
We did have an emergency in the middle of the night, where our daughter who was home with the babysitter had low blood sugar. She is a type one diabetic. It caused us to wake up in a panic because we could not get a hold of her or the babysitter so we had to make some emergency calls which may have been a little disturbing to the other guests around us. A security guard came to the door around 2:30 AM and checked on us. He was very nice and understanding.
We apologize for the little disturbance, but we did have an emergency. Thank you to all.

We had two rooms and both had old food in the refrigerators.
No microwave in rooms. We had asked for at least one.
Both bathroom sinks were clogged.
But the heated outdoor pool was fabulous and makes everything else easy to live with!

Great positive surprise - high point was the hot external pool. And the cabanas. Great staff! We will go back when there is an opp.
Clara
No restaurant for breakfast. Pool outdoors has half of the paint chipped off. I had to request room service after a please clean room on the door for 9 hours. No security at the hotel, people in swim suits in the lounge areas eating pizza on a plush sofa. Game room not attended by staff, guests moving furniture and kids doing cartwheels.
Coryne
Best hotel in Michigan hands down. Clean and staff are friendly and kind. They have lots of amenities and the outdoor pool is always fun! They made a great latte downstairs too. I love the complimentary wine at check in and got cocoa for kids. The cabana is a great experience too ..u have to book those.
Elizabeth
The bathroom was small- shower odd with half door and controls at opposite end of spray. Mirrors placed directly across from the shower and commode somewhat odd

It’s always a top notch stay. Quality and comfort in a great location with excellent amenities. Try the heated pool and cabanas during an off season stay. This is by far our favorite hotel in TC!
