Bathroom had hairs on the floor. The ac was noisy and didn't cool the best. Room had a bit of a odor to it? The pool and the grounds around it was very clean. Breakfast was good but no hot items other than by toaster or microwave. Price was good and location was only a few minutes drive from downtown. So maybe stay again??

Although we stayed three nights, we never received housekeeping services until we asked. We were out all day and they could have come and cleaned our room, but they waited until we got back at 5 o’clock to come. We had to ask for clean towels and to have our garbage removed. There was a broken lamp in our room. They definitely don’t have their act together.

The property was in bad shape. My appeared to be patched together.
The cove base was peeling off, the air conditioner fan had a loud rattling and the bathroom was not cleaned. The toilet had urine stains and there was only a third of a roll of toilet paper left with no spare.
For the $750 for the three nights, it was the worst money ever spent.

Don’t be fooled by the thin gloss applied to a smelly old cheap motel that has aimed to present as a clean and modern place by way of the pictures and thin coat of paint applied. Sink was loose from the wall, smell of smoke, hard horrible cheap beds which the staff did not make and the crappy old ac unit. This place would reasonable at $50/night as a late night crash pad but nothing more.

Very nice, clean property. Great value. The staff was excellent. We had a small issue with our door lock at check-in. My husband walked over to the office and someone walked back with him and fixed the issue within minutes. Breakfast until 10a was really nice, for those of us who are vacation travelers.

Breakfast supplies were reasonable but not amazing. They didn’t have salt for breakfast- and didn’t seem concerned about lack of salt shakers (they had two pepper shakers - but a trip to dollar store to buy salt seemed in order).

Saw another guest complaining that their bathroom lacked a shower curtain.

Front desk couldn’t point to hotel location on tourist map for me so that I could get my bearings - thank goodness for phone map!

Very affordable stay in a convenient busy area of traverse city. Not luxurious but definitely was a comfortable bed! Quiet although on a busy road. WiFi was super slow. Staff was very willing to help in any way we asked. Shower curtain was super sour smelling. I wouldn’t want to pay more but it was worth the money for our stay while we worked in Suttons bay as contractors for a few days. Pool was crystal clear but the weather was too cool to use it. Thank you for our nice stay!!

The room was only sort of clean. The mirror had not been cleaned and the previous guest's soap was still in the bath tub. The bathfloor rug was dirty. There was hair in the bath tub. The toilet was dirty. The drapes over the window were insufficient as the room was not dark.

Upon arrival had to wait for room to be ready. There was a discrepancy from hotels.com checkin of 3:00 and posted check in on site of 4:00. They were accommodating when upstairs was requested. Our room was simple, but didn't have enough towels for 4 guests and empty drink bottle from previous guest was found. Had a faint smoke smell, perhaps from proximity to smoking area downstairs. The room also could have used an area to hang clothes. Our stay was quiet. The price was right.

Be aware of scams - part of our door frame was broken when we checked in, which we didn't think much of. It's a budget motel so we knew it wasn't going to be glamorous and we didn't complain.
They ended up charging us $100 - more than the price of the room - afterwards. After calling, they insisted that we broke the door frame and would not refund us the $100. We don't like to complain, but now we are paying the price for that. I really don't recommend this place.

For the price we paid it was pretty nice. It was cozy and quiet and very inexpensive! The room was mostly clean except for an Oreo on the floor in the corner of the room (it did blend into the floor though) lol The bathroom was a bit small in my opinion. Other than that though I really enjoyed my stay and for the price they weren't cheap with their free breakfast I've seen much worse breakfast at places 3-4x as expensive. I'll definitely be returning if I come back to Traverse!

Outdoor pool was decent, pool was nice enough. The pics of the property are a little but of a catfish type situation lol. But overall good, no major notes.

Stayed for just 1 night before the Bayshore Marathon. Bed was comfy and shower water was hot, but the room didn't seem very clean. There was debris and hairs on the floor and microwave was covered in fingerprints.. Also they didn't have any cups for the coffee? But I was so grateful that they opened the breakfast 2 hours early to accommodate the runners.

The room was clean. There was no staff on duty. Anything you needed, you had to go across a very busy street to get to because they didn't have enough staff to keep the office open. Their sister hotel was across the street (Howard Johnson) and they handled everything from check in/out, to additional supplies, to breakfast. I've never seen this before! The few staff I dealt with were courteous. Wifi was an issue. The price was reasonable and the location to downtown was very good. Would I stay there again? I'm not sure.

We originally booked at Super 8. When we arrived about 9:30 the office closed with a sign saying to check in at the Howard Johnson across the street. Which was not that big of a deal. Also was told for the continent breakfast we would have to come back over to this hotel. So we went over got out room key drove back across the street, parked, gathered our stuff then walked up the steps and down to the room. When we got to our room, swiped the room card which it opened it right up. To find a man sitting on the bed watching tv. I quickly apologized and shut the door. So we loaded our stuff back into our truck, drove back across the street and informed the woman at the desk of what happened. Her first responce was that can not be. I said well there's someone there. She did put us into a room with the same amenities there but never actually apologized for the issue or going back n forth. I would of been happy with at least an apology.

Dirty room, office never open had to cross a 4 lane very busy highway to check in. Hade to cross 4 lane busy highway to get the breakfast. TV would just come on in the middle of the night. I did not feel safe. In fact I was evacuated by police because something going on in room next to me. I felt like complaining at the office across the street would have been usless.
I will never stay at this place again and would not recommend it to anyone.

The room had cute decor and the bed was fine. The pillows were fantastic! They also had an extra blanket in the room which I think is huge and you rarely see in hotels. But there was so much noise that it was really difficult to sleep. The busy road and a lot of traffic noise, plus there seems to be a lot of workers staying there. So there are lots of doors opening and closing all throughout the night. I recommend a white noise machine if you are going to try and stay here.

Check in was easy and he was very friendly. Rooms were nice and clean and you could tell they made a great effort in keeping the property looking nice. Internet was decent, but it did cut in and out a lot. Breakfast was a joke. I saw other reviews about a nice selection, that was not the case while we were there for 3 nights. They had packaged danish, muffins and cereal. I guess we were spoiled at other establishments and when we see free breakfast we expect a little more. Overall a nice place to stay.

It's a good location with a short drive to the beach and restaurants. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was good and had a decent amount of options. I just wish the room was more quiet, especially at night when i was trying to fall asleep. But i think we were too close to the stairs and the pool. Overall, it was a nice room at a good price.

We were on the 2nd floor. No elevator. Rooms were very nice and comfortable. There was no staff on duty. We had a late check in (after 11pm) and there was a notice on the door with the number of the hotel across the street to call if anything was needed. Only waited about 5 minutes for someone to come across to open the registration front door to get us checked in. She was very nice and apologized for the inconvenience.

Worst hotel stay ever

It started bad. We had requested a handicap room. Did not get it. Breakfast sucked. Wednesday morning at 4:22am the vanity mirror fell off the wall. Crashing to the floor. No one at desk so waited until morning to report it. We were promised new mirror or move us to a new room. Well nothing happened. Beds weren’t made. Towels not refreshed. Front desk person had no idea of our problems. We stayed 4 nights and never made beds I had to get towels from the desk myself. Manager was supposed to co tact us. Never did. We will never stay at a super 8 again
