Lots of activities but have to pay extra for most of them.

I really enjoyed Tracy in the restaurant. She was so very fun to talk to and was excellent at her job. She's a hard worker with a wonderful attitude. All of the staff was kind and always offered us help, even our in the parking lot. A young man was on his way in in the morning and hadn't even clocked in yet and he asked me if I needed help with my bags. Everyone was very kind. I so appreciated it. It made my stay so enjoyable.

Sean
Staff was great, “wolf den” room was awesome for the kiddo. Would highly recommend this resort.
RuthAnn
Grandkids had a great time. So it is a fun family friendly place but not a cost family friendly place. The $20 plus tax parking fee was excessive and we feel parking should be free. Lockers available to store your things in the pool area if you are willing to pay the fee. Thankful that the towels in the pool area were no additional charge. Food choices are good and the food was good just be prepared for the high prices. There are lots of other activities for kids to do but you need to be willing to pay the $60-80 per child per activity to do them. Our advice is to go there with a very specific plan and have it all detailed out with your kids so they understand plan.
Steven
Good time for the family
Terry
Very clean, attentive staff, impressive water park.
Jesse
It was a very fun stay, the wife and kids loved the experience. I can see it being very easy to get carried away and spend money there. The room was cozy and the kid enjoyed his bunkbed! Only complaint. For the price of the stay and all the money you could easily spend there if you book a room the parking should be free, but that wasn't a deal breaker. The rest of the experience was a phenomenal family trip!
Lindsay
Hotel and amenities were great. Other guests acted like animals, especially by leaving garbage everywhere. Do better ppl.
Horace
My check-in wait was rather excessive. And I watched the lobby clear twice of other customers who came before and after I did before I received a room. And had to ask 2 times before requesting to speak with a manager about the matter. The rest of my stay was great!
Tom
Great family experience for all ages

Great trip. Staff was friendly!

I didn't know about there changes that even if you get a room that sleeps for 6 ro 8 people you still have to pay for each guest 20.00 after 2 guest. I have a family of 5 got my surprise when I went to check in that I hade to pay extra extra 60 and parking for each day . We stayed for 2 days good thing we had extra money. Took away from doing bowling and other things . I guess it doesn't matter you pay extra for the space you still need to pay more.
Leanne

Sorry we didn't use any of these. Hot water was very hot. To charge for parking.....come on that was ridiculous. Breakfast was $18 a plate why?
Constance
room was disappointing for the price paid..microwave was too big and looked as though it had been built inside a box with old wood not impressed ....did not use air.....bar was major expensive staff was very friendly , excellent
Autumn
Air conditioner/heater was a bit loud, but everything was clean and everyone was very nice and accommodating.
April
There is activities for all ages. The bar offered a good selection very friendly people rooms were nice.
Hayley
Very little to do with children under 2 years old. Frankenmuth has much kid friendly water activities.

Could you please enhance the comfort of the sofa bed? It's a bit uncomfortable at the moment.
Thanks

It was nice place to stay.. rooms were very clean. our granddaughter had a good experience for her 3rd birthday. The quality of the food in the main restaurant was in need of help especially with the pricing of our meals..purchase real eggs not substitute eggs would, a steak with flavor and tenderness not bland and tough, drinks were good..the pizza at the hungry wolf was good.
Kimberly
The staff was all great, the room was nice and clean
Ronald
Everything you need is here! Little pricey but you pay for convenience.have a nice tiki bar in water.park that makes killer mix drinks. Smart thing to do is go next door to meijers and buy booze and bring your own plastic cup! The staff and lifeguards really do pay attention and care about your safety! I fell out of my tub and the life gaurd was right there before i could pop up making sure i didnt need help then asked if i was okay and and supervisor was there right away before i climed out juat to double check! I was fine! I caused the flip out of tube playing around! The rooms are comfy! And depending on room depends how unique they are!

All employees were kind and courteous. Our grandchildren had a blast at the well run and fully staffed waterpark.
Steve

Jacob
It’s a cool place but starting to feel like Vegas where they charge for absolutely everything
EZEKIEL
Very nice clean .

It was all the staff!

Charge for parking in a regular parking lot, not mentioned when booking. Loud noisy, not clean. Check in “starts” at 4pm, rooms not ready then. Not a good experience.

Probably will not stay at this GW Lodge again. The photos on Expedia advertise TVs in the kids bedroom area, but they have removed ALL those TVs and NOT updated their Expedia listing. Also, the waterpark hasn't been updated in a while (15+ years) and it's starting to show its age. Needs to be expanded and some areas replaced.
Linda
I was pleased overall. I was shocked that as a resort guest that I had to pay an overnight parking fee each night.
Emma
We did enjoy our stay but for the price we payed there should have been more things included (ex. Free breakfast, free locker rental)
Tamara
GWL has been a great experience for our family for many years. We came when my kids were all in grade school. This year we came with my children and grand children!
My only disappointment is to pay for parking. We had three cars for two days. We could have stayed another night for the cost of all of us to park.
Overall, it’s a great experience and I highly recommend it!

Food was alright from the in store restaurant. Prime rib wasn’t steakhouse quality but still enjoyed it. Pool area was fun the kids complained the water was cold and I would have to agree it was kinda cold but otherwise it was fine. Arcade the kids had a good time. Our room was very clean and tidy but the shower wouldn’t drain. We would stay again if using coupons for a discounted rate
Ahmed
Every thing was perfect more than I expected ….
Arieal
Staff was so polite the room and the entire facility was super clean which was an extra plus. The waterpark wasn’t over crowded there were water slides for all ages. The parents enjoyed the bar inside the waterpark the Frosé was to die for. Overall a great experience for a great price and we will definitely be back!
Steven
great
Mitchell
The room was in great condition, however the noise in the hallways and above us was very loud and kept our children up. The walls are very thin and i think a noise ordinance should be in place seeing as how it is a kid friendly place.
Amber
Absurd Parking Fee
Our stay was wonderful, the biggest downfall was having to pay extra for parking. That seems quite absurd with the cost of everything else.
Taylor
10/10 all around great place to stay!! nice staff, easy check ins, lots of fun for the kids, clean hotel, no complaints
Mary
Everything was great 👍

It is kid's paradise. Great location.

Too much fun
Sherrie
Our experience at Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City, MI was the best! The beds were amazingly comfortable. The rooms with their vaulted ceilings and balcony made the rooms feel so large. We loved the sitting area in each room. Everything about the Great Wolf Lodge is an experience for kids and adults alike, from walking in the door being greeted with a wolf ear headband to the helpful agents at the check in desk. Our dining experiences were great & delicious. The indoor water park was a highlight for our family, both kids and adults. The \"quests\" our kids participated in were truly magical. Everyone came home with wands, capes and a touch of magic. An excellent time was had by all from ages 4 to 74. We'll be back!
Loredana

Clean rooms and great time for the kids
Sue
Fun-filled, magical escape with the kids. This is way better than other water park hotels. It’s clean with spacious rooms. It’s not overly crowded. I highly recommend. Will go again for sure.
Nancy
There was a parking charge of $19.00 US per night which I thought should have been included in the price of the room. On your expedia sight there was no mention of this additional charge to my room. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN NOTED.
Heidi
Our first time visit was very fun and relaxing. The kids enjoyed the water park and the outside pool. Prices for drinks and other activities where a little pricey.
Christy
Absolutely wonderful!!
I absolutely loved this place. We had a fairly large family visit and it was wonderful. The decor and atmosphere is truly outstanding. This is a fun and magical experience for adults and children alike.
Stacy
Great stay for our family!

Above all our stay was great. The only thing that I would have to say is, we wanted to stay an extra hour for checkout, and they refuse to let us have an extra hour they normally don’t charge us, which is pretty poor. Also, there was cold in the shower.

This place just nickel and dimes way too much. A soft drink at the water park is $3.49 but you have to scan a barcode and get 15 seconds to fill your cup. My young kids (who the place is supposed to be for) aren’t that decisive/don’t move that fast so we ended up with 2 half full cups.
Waterpark is mediocre at best…if you’re in Traverse City anyway go for it but if the water park is hour focus there are way better options throughout the state.

The prices are ridiculous. Spend 2 nights and have to pay to park to spend the night. 20$ each vehicle each night. Will be our last trip to Great Wolf Lodge.

We rented a suite for our family of 6. It has 2 double/queen beds and a pull out sofa. The pull out sofa was horrible. There was a decline so your head was much lower than where your feet were. I called housekeeping because I thought maybe we didn't have it pulled out right. A woman came and said, unfortunately, that's just how it is. She said some people try and prop up the head area with the couch cushions, which we did try, but that made a big ledge/lump and was not any more comfortable. We, being a family of 6, stay in suites similar to this at other hotels, and have not had a problem with the decline like this before. These pull out sofa beds need to be fixed or replaced.

Check-in is a very long process and very picky about having drivers license and credit card of only person that made reservation (no spouses). Hours of waterpark are too short!!

Kids cabin review
The check in process was a little crazy. I had to talk to a staff member while also using a kiosk. She was asking my questions while at the same time I had to scan cards and answer questions at the kiosk. I was also unaware of the $19 per night parking fee (I may have missed this on the hotels.com listing). The waterpark was great, I wish you could take the towels up to your room instead of freezing waiting for one of only 2 elevators. The food is incredibly pricey. The room was cute but for $400 I expected a little more luxury. All in all my kids had a great time but the price is prohibitive to returning.
