Jackie at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. The property was very clean and well maintained. Will definitely return and suggest.
Kristian
Exactly what you want from a motel! Clean room, comfy bed, and friendly staff! Air conditioning can get really cold too
Anthony
Room was ok. Quite overpriced for what it was. Old. Small. No ice. No pool.
Enough said.

Very cute and quaint little motel! Front desk was very helpful and one of the nicest guys i have ever met! Property was very clean and exceptionally well maintained! I give this place a 15/10 and will stay again!
kim
This is a dog friendly hotel and unfortunately our room smelled like dirty dog. We are dog lovers but do not care for dog smell. Especially when we are paying almost $300 for the room. Staff were nice and helpful.
Would not stay again.

Breakfast was disappointing.Only banana or apple. Not what they advertised

Staff was very consiencious and helpful. Room was very comfortable with good beds, quality TP( No Slivers), and quality Towels & facial tissue. Air conditioner was a little noisey however. Good shower flow and large room size overall.
Kenneth
Very friendly and helpful staff. The room and surroundings were immaculate. We appreciated the larger than standard refrigerator and the full size microwave oven was a nice bonus. Both were spotless inside and out.
Thank you to everyone at the motel for giving us a \"no problem\" 4th of July weekend.

Breakfast was good

The Motel is older (greater than 50 yrs old). The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and cool. I could change the temp on the air conditioner but not the fan speed. There was no towel rack or hook in the bathroom. My room was closest to the road but it was nice and quiet overnight. I was close enough to town to walk (though it was probably about 1/2 mile or more). The Starbucks was just a long block away so I didn't go in for the coffee and pastries. I was comfortable so I'd give it a positive review.
Jillian
This was a good motel. All the linens were very clean and the room felt clean.
I appreciated the large refrigerator and lots of drawers in the room. I was glad they also made sure to have a plug by the bed for your phones.
The breakfast was good too. Oatmeal, tons of different granola bars, pastries, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee.
The staff was very nice.
The bus stop into town was across the street or it was a little walk. It’s also by a park with a walking path and the YMCA.
If you want some fast food or coffee, there were places right across the street.

Affordable and well kept. Owner very knowledgeable on area sights.
Will stay there again.
Dog friendly we really appreciated it. Nice area for dogs to do their duty and get some exercise.

Staff was very pleasant at both arrival and checkout. For an older property it is very clean and well maintained. Great location as well.
Kennis
Excellent stay! The property was well-maintained and our room was immaculately clean. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. I would absolutely stay here again!
Christian
Excellent spot pretty close (walkable) to downtown traverse city. Staff was excellent. Not exceptionally luxurious. For the price point, I would 100% stay here again.
Bruce
This property could (by some) to be considered bare bones, but for us it checked every box. Efficient and clever use of space, easy to use climate control, fridge, microwave, etc. comfortable and clean. Best motel experience ever!
Jeffery
Nice style guy at counter was very nice and helpful with info on the town, made the stay feel very welcoming would highly recommend!
John
The room was clean and dog friendly. The dog friendly motel charged an extra $45 per dog. The description said $45 for 2 max. The room was ground floor but had no black out blinds so the bright lights from parking lot kept me up. Close to everything.
mikel
Older motel with updated decor. Clean room and all the staff were friendly and helpful.
Stacey
Clean room, staff helpful and friendly, ample parking, grab and go breakfast was actually good. Tv did not work properly. Would stay here again.
Mark
Another solo stay at this spot. It's got what you need for a good night sleep! Breakfast options are filling enough, too!! All staff was very friendly.
DEBBIE
Could use an update but was clean and close to downtown
Rolando
Rooms where clean staff was excellent room was a little bit compact other then that great.

They just canceled my reservation very very last minute once I got arrived there. It was messed up my vacation

The fan on the furnace was quite loud and so was the refrigerator. Besides that, everything was great!
Carolyn
I had a one night stay here on a quick trip, but I would definitely stay again. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. There was a refrigerator with actual top freezer (not like a normal hotel \"freezer\" inside a tiny refrigerator), a microwave, and a bar style table with stools--all of this would be perfect for a longer stay. There was a small lawn perfect to take my dog out. As a solo woman traveler, I look for properties that are safe and clean, and this one was great.
Jason
The room was clean. Mix of Home Depot countertops and mismatched furniture. The fire alarm started beeping intermittently staring at 6:30 am. Decided to go out for breakfast and called the front desk when I got back and they said they would come by to check it and nobody ever came. I stayed until check out with earbuds in, still hearing a beep about every 60 seconds. This was very frustrating and I will not go back because of it
Han Min
Clean and spacious room. Great for traveling with pets.
Letitia
The staff was friendly and the room was clean.
Ashleigh
The room was clean, the staff was very nice, and being pet friendly made it great.
Scott
Super clean, nice staff, quaint roadside motel with nice modern upgrades. Spacious room.
Heidi
Annoying late night smokers!
The room was great, bed was really comfortable. Did not have any breakfast. We had our dog with us, the dog area was next to a picnic table that was occupied by smokers the entire time we stayed who were there every day, night until 2-3 am, very annoying. They were very loud, not sure if they were patrons or worked at the motel. You would not have been able to utilize the picnic area, I suggest moving the smoking area to the far end of the motel, so patrons could sit and enjoy the picnic area
Laura
Friendly staff and easy check in.
William
Great for the price

Excellent Staff

The updates to the room and bathroom are excellent. Great bed! Wonderful to have a full sized fridge. Super friendly staff members.
Our only suggestion is to have better light-blocking on both windows.

Couldn’t get the television to work they came in and set it all up. That was very nice of them, even though it was late in the evening.
Mitchel
Excellent overall, I would say my only criticism is the beds. They are not very comfortable. But, I can overlook that because everything else was fantastic!
Candy
Very nice
Jie
The room was clean and staff was very helpful. It is a great location.
Angela
This was a “Mom and Pop” hotel that has been updated and refurbished. When you arrive, it still has the appeal of an older hotel. Do not let that fool you. The rooms have been updated. It still has a few amenities that are revenant to older hotels but modernized. We loved it and the office staff were very welcoming and friendly.
clayton
this motel was clean, quiet and easy to get in and out, parking could be better. but would recommend.
Diana
Had a wonderful stay here! Marty was so nice and helpful! Our room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable!
Housekeeping was on top of everything!
I will definitely be back!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good location. Our room had spiders in it & smelled like cat pee. The staffs solution was to give us fabreze. We definitely won’t be back.
David
Name does not reflect the stay.
No phone, only one comfortable chair, shelves with towels was too high.
The carpeting was filthy, looked like the only remedy would be to replace it. Bathroom floor was also dirty.
The bed seemed ok, but did not make up for tnr floor.
We will never stay here again.

Ted
room was clean and comfortable
Juliet
Carpet was dank and grimy- smelled like urine. Fitted sheet was dirty. Needs a lot of deep cleaning, new carpet and a fresh coat of paint.
James
Simple amenities for a trip spent mostly doing things away from the motel. Didn’t pay for things we were not going to use.
Kevin J
Close to downtown area
Robert
Cannot control the heat/aircond, too hot, too cold.
Albert
It exceeded our expectations for the price. Every thing was clean and comfortable, and included all of the amenities. The only thing lacking was a full service breakfast.
Clifford
A well maintained and affordable motel near the center of the city. Very convenient and we would stay there again.
Sarah
Loved the retro vibe of this place! Bed was very comfortable with good quality linens. Room was very clean and well maintained with a quiet air conditioner as well as an air purifier. Bathroom is a good size, very clean and the water pressure of the shower is awesome. There is a large fridge/freezer in the room which is very convenient. Bus stop is close if you need other transportation but this property is walking distance to Clinch park and shopping/dining on Front street. We would definitely stay again!
David
Outdated (\"retro\"?) facility but comfortable and quiet.
Daniel
No frills, but the best value for the dollar in Traverse City.
Carola
Yes it's an old Motel, but they really tried hard updating, and we especially appreciated the high end linens and towels! It's clean and friendly.
Crystal
Lovely recommend!
The room was very spacious, very clean. Large bed and very comfortable. Full size refrigerator. Microwave. Very nice. Checkin and staff were friendly. Nice continental breakfast with a variety of choices, muffins, mini donuts, snack bars, yogurt, variety of beverages including coffee. Would Definitely recommend and stay again!
Michelle
I would say the only thing that I didn't like was the parking lot.. everyone was super friendly and helpful! Great place... Will be back again

Thank you again!
Thank you again!
Linda
We had a wonderful time at this cute little motel. Walking distance to downtown and beach. The staff was very friendly and the owner was also on the property and very friendly. I would book again.
Daniel
I enjoyed my experience. Every thing was good.
Jon
Not what you think when you see motel
For a motel this place was really nice. Clean good size rooms and excellent service and front desk area. They had pop ice and snacks you could get for the room.
Rodd
Everyone was so nice!
Jill
All around a nice place updated and friendly staff
Dapple
Had an issue with the room that the staff and owner did not address.
Marilyn
Missy travels
such a great variety of food items for breakfast. Loved the quick pick up and go. the place is old but very clean and nice amenities. black face cloth, luxury towels, smelled clean. convenient to so much and friendly check in staff
Olga
No hot water. Owner promised to refund half of charge for the room for this MAJOR INCONVENIENCE and never followed through. Poor lighting. Dirty carpeting in room. Very disappointed. Room felt dingy and dark.
Paul
A quaint old-school motel. Nothing fancy, just a clean room and a nice stay.
Roxanne
Very friendly staff. Did not like that there was no way to darken the room at night.
Matthew
Excellent Local Place
Great Local Motel. Clean, friendly, easy, rooms are clean and have a big fridge. Staff was nice and location is great.
Rosie
Needs new mattress. Very lumpy and too soft.
Rhonda
Easy access, motel, close to Ludington, easy drive to the lake. Televisions are very small and access to channels that loaded very slowly, was difficult. Property was clean, could have enjoyed a seating area somewhere outside of the room.
Doug
Serves the purpose
Not your corporate experience. The room was adequate, bed was large and comfy, room and place was a bit quirky. Schitt's Creek comes to mind, but it wasn't Twin Peaks.
James T
Convenient location.
Aaron
Just a small place, but on main drag. Plenty of places close to eat and mini golf close by to enjoy
Cynthia
A great option
Our stay at the Grand Traverse Motel was thoroughly enjoyable. Though the room was on the small side, it was very clean. The best thing about it was how well the air conditioning unit cooled the room during sleep hours. (This is consistently a problem at many other facilities.). The care for the motel is evident from the outside environment that is nicely decorated and the grounds are well cared for.
Jafari
Great staff
Thomas
Nice outdoor grassy area with tables and games.
Lindsay
Loves this place for Cherry Festival
Love this location and love this motel. It was perfect for us to stay for a few nights. Room clean, electronics worked, bathroom clean. Friendly staff. Would stay again.
Robert
Friendly and clean. Thought price was too high until I checked on other places!
