Pleasant stay right on the beach. Rooms are a little musty, small baths , old carpets but outdoors are very well maintained, constantly cleaned. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Had a great stay with family on with lots of beach time.

One of the best stays we had in a very long time! The property was kept very clean and each room faces the lake and comes with a balcony to enjoy the view. The sandy beach front, that is part of the hotel, is kept clean and chairs are provided for your pleasure. Grills are available as well as various games.
Breakfast was served at the hotel next door which was not a big inconvenience. The staff was very friendly and helpful at both properties.
Only gripe I have was that the entrance doors to the rooms on each end of the property are exposed to the main street which makes it noisy with the traffic in addition to being drafty. Some better weather stripping around the doors could potentially reduce both issues. All other rooms were enclosed within the hotel's hallway. The complementary coffee in the lobby made by Panther Coffee was nasty for my taste buds. Wish they would have given at least another option, even simple Folgers like the hotel next door had.
However, overall if we ever come back to Traverse City, this will be our main place to stay at again!

Ok so this is the smaller sister resort to Baywatch. I had the spa room and it was beautiful. The giant tub made my whole weekend. If you remotely like baths or hot tubs… Book it.
I only had one issue with the property. Both nights people were up screaming and stomping through the hallways until after midnight or later. We didn’t get back until after 11 one night and it wasn’t quiet through the halls by any means. I would put a sign in your office enforcing quiet hours.

Unfortunately, I had the worst allergies. I was sick the entire vacation. On my final day, my flight left at 6:30pm from Traverse City to home. I called the front desk and asked for a late checkout, due to feeling ill. I was told it would not be a problem. I felt uneasy, to make sure, I checked twice with the office to ensure everything was cool. At 12:00 (noon) I received a call on my cell phone, stating that they were going to charge my card and I did not have authorization for a late check out. I WAS ASKED TO IMMEDIATELY EXIT THE PREMISES; even though I was so sick, I packed up my bags into the rental car and found a shade to rest before take off.
The Beach Hause lied to me multiple times and through multiple people. The vacation was a disaster and this spider / mold infested motel made it worse. I never give bad reviews, I believe it shows lack of character. Most people do not realize the amount of damage a bad review can create.

I believe in this situation, they deserve a truthful review. I did not feel well and I was a single woman traveling alone.
Find a different hotel!!!! Trust me!

From the exterior the building looks older, that's where it ends. The rooms have been remodeled, including the bathroom with tall shower heads, newer mattresses. Rooms were clean with taller mini fridge and freezer as well as microwave. Groomed beach area for watching sunsets, as well as grassy area if you want to off the sand. Overall it was reasonably priced and would stay again.

On the outside stairs there are no handrails that can be grabbed, and inadequate lighting. I tripped in the dark, luckily I fell upwards. Breakfast is a bit sub par.

We had a wonderful time! We'll definitely keep it in mind for future stays. There is definitely traffic noise because it's on a highway, but I still slept really well. The view from our balcony was beautiful. The stairs to the second floor were easy to navigate, even for me. (I have issues with my feet.) However, if you can't do steps just make sure to book their first floor rooms. The breakfast was perfect to just quickly grab a drink and bagel before heading out for the day. I loved the access to the beach. It was so peaceful. You might even spot a family of ducks!
I will mention there will be midges flying around, but you're on a lake. Those little bugs are harmless and are evidence of a health lake system. They are all around every portion of the lake. It's not specific to the area of the hotel. Just go prepared to see them. It doesn't take away anything from the joy of a beach vacation.
The hotel is in a convenient location as well. Easy access to all the coastal parks and about 15 min from downtown Traverse City.
We can't wait to come back.

The room was clean but we had an outside door and the car noise was awful. There was water puddled outside our room so each time we entered or exited we had wet shoes. The area down by the coffee had spiders and spider webs. The outside area was nice but the chairs were wet and the outside gas fireplace was not open and it was a great night for a fire by the lake. The breakfast option were limited. They did get delivered to the room so that was a plus. All in all a good stay but in the future if I chose to stay here an interior room would be requested.

Exceptionally clean hotel directly on the shore of Lake Michigan. Quiet hallways. Great boxed breakfast delivered to your room in the morning at the time you select.
Hot fresh coffee in a self serve kitchen area off the lobby. Ample parking.

Several things wrong- No elevator to 2nd floor-Our balcony room had outside entrance so we heard traffic noise all night😟Terrible coffee! Breakfast was boxed and hung on your door! There for 2 nights and room was not cleaned after 1st night-trash not emptied, nothing done to the room!!! I DO NOT recommend this hotel!!

The property is overall in nice condition and the beach is beautiful. This was our second stay here in but likely will be our last. The shower door didn’t stay closed and oddly kept sliding open while using the shower, but this was the least of our concerns. We booked a couple of months in advance and were placed in a room directly across from the front lobby. Our room was extremely noisy. We booked a two night stay and the second night there was a loud group of people running up and down the hallway, laughing and yelling loudly. This went on from around 10 til 10:30 pm and it was beyond rude. We tried contacting the from desk and nobody answered the phone. I opened my door and didn’t see staff anywhere. The following morning we were woken up at 7:15 to the sound of staff listening/watching TikTok or some sort of social media on their phones. I opened up our hotel door and the noise was coming directly from the staff room. This was icing on the cake for us. We were really excited to come here again but this was not a fun visit. This was pretty disappointing compared to our stay last summer.

I stayed at this resort recently and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The resort feels very old and not well maintained. There were spider webs both inside and outside the room, which made it uncomfortable. The breakfast was not good and definitely needs improvement.

Another big issue was the cleaning service. They had only one person assigned to clean all the rooms. She first had to prepare the rooms for new guests, and only afterward did she get to the rooms that were already occupied. Because of this, my room was cleaned very late in the day, even after several requests.

Overall, the cleanliness and service did not meet expectations, and I think the resort really needs better upkeep, more staff, and more attentive service.

Great hotel right on the beach. Beach is awesome right out front. Close to downtown. Rode our bikes everywhere, the TART trail is very flat and paved. Hotel is very clean and the rooms are spacious with great views of Grand Traverse Bay. Highly recommend!

There is no elevator so you must drag you luggage upstairs. Just fYI if you are not able . Room was nice we had a king on the street side . Bed was comfortable. Breakfast is Cheerios or boiled eggs , breakfast sandwich. Not the best . Location is nice . Beach is clean . All in all it’s a nice place . Coffee is great !

Very convenient to everything. Did not like the key situation for security. Had your room number on it and then your parking sticker also had it on there. Why would you want your room number on there where now anyone following you can now very easily find your room. I refused to put it on my car for it was just me and my friend. Other than that we liked the place.
