We stopped by the front desk early before check-in because it was a long drive asked for his restroom and they said they didn’t have one. We came back at 3 o’clock for check-in and there was one right next to them by the front desk other than that, everything was great. We stay for three days and did not use housekeeping as they said they would not unless we request requested, which was fine.

We had a wonderful stay!! Alex was amazing with our check in. The beach is beautiful and so convenient with plenty of chairs and loungers. The pool was warm and clean. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast was delivered to the room every morning and was absolutely perfect. Kids loved the arcade in the evenings. Awesome location with putt putt right across the road and a short drive to downtown. We are already planning our next stay. Highly recommend!

Very nice, room was large, bed was comfy, staff was helpful. Breakfast was a choice of 5 different boxed meals delivered to your door at the time you request. I saw complaints on this prior to our stay. We actually really liked the options and convenience. It was just enough to satisfy us in the privacy of our room and we didn’t have to get up, get dressed and get downstairs at a certain time. I actually wish more hotels would offer this.

Hotel is located a little ways from downtown but putt putt and go carts are located across busy street. We weren’t provided details on how to obtain towels for the beach, pool or any other amenities besides breakfast. Figured it out on our own, would have been nice to know some things upon arrival.

The room was very nice. We had a small table with 2 chairs for 4 people. We had to sit on the bed when we visited. The breakfast was nice served in our room but the choices where very limited. All in all it was a very nice hotel. I would stay there again. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Our stay was fabulous! The hotel was wonderful, great location and very clean. The only negative would be the breakfast options, but I wouldn’t even say that was bad. It just wasn’t a hot meal and you didn’t have a lot of options. We are definitely planning an annual trip from now on and will stay here every time!! Thank you!

Grand Beach Resort Hotel is about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Traverse City, so it's in a little calmer location. It has its own private beach with beautiful views of this inlet of Lake Michigan. Towels for the beach are provided and the hotel has rows of beach chairs already on the beach for guests to use. Included in the rate is a choice of breakfasts (like hard boiled eggs, cereal, fruit, muffin, orange juice) which is delivered outside your door and you pick the time. Coffee is in the lobby all day. The staff is VERY nice and helpful. Parking is a little tight since many travel with large vehicles on vacation. The facility is clean overall. A free community shuttle can take you to downtown Traverse City and these small buses swing by on the main road every 10-15 minutes or so. Be aware that shuttles running routes not on the main road have a small fee. This is our second time here, both coincided with the National Cherry Festival/Fourth of July. Would definitely recommend.

We could look right out at the beach and water, and family of ducks from our room. The choices for breakfast in a box were simple, yet nice including a water bottle.
There was a spot to post a letter which saved me a trip to the post office. This location is 3 miles from the city shops, we liked that as it was less crowded than the main city beach front.

Really a subpar experience. Some stuff was great, other stuff just below average for $350+ a night to stay! Some staff was helpful and friendly others had an absolutely awful attitude. We called for an early check-in, staff that answered said they would call us when the room was ready and never did. Also we were under the impression we were getting a beach view room and got there and it wasnet beach view. We were told it would be another $370 to upgrade even after paying nearly $1100 for three days. Seems like we paid more then the staying experience was worth…

My daughter and I stayed 4 nights and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is very clean, the staff extremely helpful. The beach front was well maintained and offered a beautiful view of the bay. We enjoyed having our boxed breakfast delivered to our door each morning. It’s a popular spot for families, so if you are wanting something quiet, this may not be for you. But overall, it is excellent and highly recommended.

Neither of us eat pork, so it significantly limited the options, but it’s a typical continental breakfast, nothing to write home about just like most places. The rooms seemed clean. I always bring my own cleaning supplies, as I know most hotels don’t do deep cleaning. I really appreciated that the last hour of the pool area was dedicated to adults. I only wish it was an hour and a half versus just one hour, but that’s 1000% better than nothing, as there were A LOT of children there during our stay.

We stayed 3 nights over Fathers Day weekend. The room itself was wonderful-clean, spacious, with a great view of the bay. The hotel is very clean, well maintained-the beach included. Plenty of chairs for all guests to have one, and the beach area was perfect to sit by, enjoy the waves, and take in the beauty of the area. The location of the hotel is perfect-on the Main Street of the resort area, easy drive to everything Traverse City has to offer.

I had to have housekeeping come back to tidy the room after check in, but after that our stay was fabulous! My children really enjoyed being able to go to the indoor pool if it rained but the beach was our top pick!! They enjoyed the arcade and all the shops and places nearby. We will be back!!

Very clean place, was on the third floor and the views were amazing and so easy to get to beach, workers are thorough but no one smiles lol also one lady Melissa was very rude over the phone when I called about not getting my breakfast, asked if I looked outside my door?! Like what? I had just got back from getting coffee in town and it still wasn’t there, I asked her when she dropped it off if she wanted to come in and look because she acted like I stole it, the breakfast is ok but nothing fantastic 😅 but area is quiet, a little dated but it is very clean, I went alone for R&R, I live in Indiana and have never been to Michigan, very nice city, the dunes and scenic drive was so good, water is beautiful everywhere, the shower was not good either, it literally sprays out everywhere to where it takes ten years to try and get rinsed all the way off, that did kinda upset me because it was not relaxing at all, and you could not change the setting on the head, also it is not sound proof at all, I was on top floor and heard every door shut and slam and all the conversations, and paid over 800$ for three nights and when you check in you have to give another 100$ deposit! It literally cut into my spending money, it’s not horrible but I wouldn’t stay again, I just seen a lot better places out driving, I’ll definitely try something else if I ever come back

This was my first time staying at this hotel. I must say it will not be my last. I’m typically in Traverse city once a year attending a conference and the room, staff, and check-in process was all great! The fact that you get to select a breakfast each morning was awesome, oh and it didn’t hurt that my room was right in the beach!

We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub area. Another major highlight was the good quality breakfast delivered straight to our room in the morning. We booked a patio beach front room with a King and Queen bed. The room was so comfortable and spacious we wanted to stay longer. And being able to walk right out to the beach or sit on the semi-private patio and watch the water was exactly why we chose this location. This was our first time in Traverse City. The lobby was cozy and the staff was very friendly and most helpful. The hallways were bright and cheery. The room we got was so nice and roomy with plenty of storage. Bed was very comfortable and smelled like the sheets had just been taken out of the laundry/dryer. I felt at home. The bathroom was also very clean. The mirror frame in the bathroom did seem a bit dated, but there were no problems. There were only two issues I had. The main issue for me was the balcony. The rail and siding were full of cobwebs. You could see all the trapped mosquitoes. Because the kids really wanted to go out on the balcony, I went ahead and cleaned up myself as best I could with a washcloth and a clorox wipe I had. After that we were good. Note, there were tons of mosquitoes, but that is not the hotels fault. It's just the nature of being by a body of water. The other issue was the breakfast. Unlike most places nowadays, they don't offer the typical buffet style breakfast. It's pre-packaged and delivered to your room in the morning. You get to pick from a selection of boxed breakfasts and you also select the time you'd like it delivered. We weren't bent out of shape, especially since there are plenty of eating/breakfast places close by. The beach itself was SO NICE! Water was crystal clear! Pool was also very clean! We definitely are looking forward to coming back soon to get to know the city a bit more.
