The room was nice. We stayed here hoping to use the pool, but it was down in a basement like structure, there were chips in the cement and the indoor pool was freezing…..

Clean, staff great and one of the best breakfasts for a hotel in a long time. Pool good for teens and adults but for little ones not so much. The fitness area was better than most hotels. Nice parking because you can go in the building in multiple spots. Overall really good. We stay at hotels every 3-6 months this place is definitely worth it.

Disappointed

We stayed with our first Best Western Plus hotel last spring on our return from winter in AZ a d found the experience a delightful one.
This stay in Traverse City left a bit to be desired. I did not receive my discounted rate as a BW member, or as a AAA member, the room was small, the bed too high off the floor and of lesser quality and a bathroom wall repair was far from completed.

I absolutely adored this clean hotel. First of all, the staff here are amazing. They take pride in their work and make every guest feel welcomed. The house keepers are helpful and so friendly. I had a nice conversation with the kind manager about how much I appreciated the special touches that the place offers, such as, a very nice continental breakfast from 6am till 10am. They have something for everyone. I was impressed with them even offering plant based sausage. Which tasted quite good. The dining room is clean and well organized. They even have filled salt and pepper shakers neatly placed on every table. I know to some, this might not be a big deal, but to me, it was the little touches, like this, the attention to detail, that shows me this is a quality hotel. The pool was amazing. The water crystal clear and a perfect temperature. It was so relaxing. They had clean pool towels, noodles for floating, and even a handicap lift chair next to the pool for anyone with mobility issues. I liked the gym. Very nice gym equipment. I appreciated their good variety of vending options, a clean and full ice maker, which we used a lot. I love that they have recycling bins, a water cooler for good drinking water, a work area in the lobby for anyone needing to work or surf the web. They even write down the weather for the day on a white out board and some restaurant recommendations. I enjoyed the free WiFi that was speedy and easy to hook to. Most importantly, they welcomed, my fur baby.

My husband and I had an excellent stay. The breakfast was great. They had the friendliest and most helpful staff of any hotel I have been to. I absolutely loved the latte/cappuccino machine by the front desk and it was available 24/7 and made good lattes for an instant machine. I wish all hotels had this machine. The pool was open 24/7 which is very nice for adults trying to have a swim without kids jumping around and screaming. It was conveniently located to the attractions we wanted to go to. Our bed was comfortable, our room was very nice, and we really liked having a refrigerator and microwave in our room.

Nice but...

Nice and clean. 1 suggestion though, if the pool is open 24hrs, maybe set a time in the evening for adults only. We went down numerous times to just swim and relax but couldnt due to numerous kids as late as 10pm.

Our stay at the BW Traverse City was so nice, exceeded our expectations. We arrived at 7pm, was greeted by a very friendly gal who offered us fresh cookies. The room was immaculate, the bathroom was updated and modern. Even though it was on a busy street, we did not hear street noise. It was a wonderful visit, would definitely recommend this for quality and value.

Very well kept property. Clean rooms with very nice linens. Free breakfast that was delicious and there were many options.

The best part was the staff! We were checked in by Tricia and Sheila who were THE BEST. They provided excellent service and helped us plan our activities around the area. All of the employees were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay, including Kevin from maintenance. We would definitely stay there again!

What a pleasant surprise after a long day driving!

Super clean and VERY comfy bed. Great linens, crisp and feeling very clean as well as the bed spread. Two of the pillows were very puffy and the other two medium but not on the thinner side for us smaller people who need thin pillows. The bath supplies were wonderful, eco friendly and smelled of citrus! I LOVED LOVED them! Bath towels were well stocked. Breakfast had both hot and cold foods, plus coffee and a good range of teas, which was nice. Sausage was plant based but really had great sausage flavor. Night receptionist who checked me in was friendly and helpful. The day one, who seemed to be the manager, was very very loud, making breakfast nearby less peaceful for those trying to wake up. She was nice though. Wi-fi and plenty of ports to charge up all the tech you might have. It was a lovely stay and I am glad I chose it!

Expensive given the condition

When we checked in, the ladies at the front desk let us know how much they hate bookings through Hotels.com or Expedia and wished that they could just get rid of it.

The hotel is older and dated in furnishings and decorations and for the price we paid (over $400 for the night), I have stayed in much better for a lot less.

Our room was weird in that the only window faced out into the hallway. There was no window facing outside, so we had to keep the blackout curtains pulled the entire time because someone could see in if they walked past in the hallway.

Decent hotel with shuttle transportation to the downtown area. Rooms were good and we were given extra pillows and bedding upon request. Shuttle service was great. Hotel location was not the best for anything walkable. A car is definitely needed.
